The spectral Tur\'an theorem states that the $k$-partite Tur\'an graph is the unique graph attaining the maximum adjacency spectral radius among all graphs of order $n$ containing no the complete graph $K_{k+1}$ as a subgraph. This result is known to be stronger than the classical Tur\'an theorem. In this paper, we consider hypergraph extensions of spectral Tur\'an theorem. For $k\geq r\geq 2$, let $H_{k+1}^{(r)}$ be the $r$-uniform hypergraph obtained from $K_{k+1}$ by enlarging each edge with a new set of $(r-2)$ vertices. Let $F_{k+1}^{(r)}$ be the $r$-uniform hypergraph with edges: $\{1,2,\ldots,r\} =: [r]$ and $E_{ij} \cup\{i,j\}$ over all pairs $\{i,j\}\in \binom{[k+1]}{2}\setminus\binom{[r]}{2}$, where $E_{ij}$ are pairwise disjoint $(r-2)$-sets disjoint from $[k+1]$. Generalizing the Tur\'an theorem to hypergraphs, Pikhurko [J. Combin. Theory Ser. B, 103 (2013) 220--225] and Mubayi and Pikhurko [J. Combin. Theory Ser. B, 97 (2007) 669--678] respectively determined the exact Tur\'an number of $H_{k+1}^{(r)}$ and $F_{k+1}^{(r)}$, and characterized the corresponding extremal hypergraphs. Our main results show that $T_r(n,k)$, the complete $k$-partite $r$-uniform hypergraph on $n$ vertices where no two parts differ by more than one in size, is the unique hypergraph having the maximum $p$-spectral radius among all $n$-vertex $H_{k+1}^{(r)}$-free (resp. $F_{k+1}^{(r)}$-free) $r$-uniform hypergraphs for sufficiently large $n$. These findings are obtained by establishing $p$-spectral version of the stability theorems. In the realm of personalized recommender systems, the challenge of adapting to evolving user preferences and the continuous influx of new users and items is paramount. Conventional models, typically reliant on a static training-test approach, struggle to keep pace with these dynamic demands. Streaming recommendation, particularly through continual graph learning, has emerged as a novel solution. However, existing methods in this area either rely on historical data replay, which is increasingly impractical due to stringent data privacy regulations; or are inability to effectively address the over-stability issue; or depend on model-isolation and expansion strategies. To tackle these difficulties, we present GPT4Rec, a Graph Prompt Tuning method for streaming Recommendation. Given the evolving user-item interaction graph, GPT4Rec first disentangles the graph patterns into multiple views. After isolating specific interaction patterns and relationships in different views, GPT4Rec utilizes lightweight graph prompts to efficiently guide the model across varying interaction patterns within the user-item graph. Firstly, node-level prompts are employed to instruct the model to adapt to changes in the attributes or properties of individual nodes within the graph. Secondly, structure-level prompts guide the model in adapting to broader patterns of connectivity and relationships within the graph. Finally, view-level prompts are innovatively designed to facilitate the aggregation of information from multiple disentangled views. These prompt designs allow GPT4Rec to synthesize a comprehensive understanding of the graph, ensuring that all vital aspects of the user-item interactions are considered and effectively integrated. Given a family of graphs $\mathcal{F}$, the Tur\'{a}n number $ex(n, \mathcal{F})$ denotes the maximum number of edges in any $\mathcal{F}$-free graph on $n$ vertices. Recently, Alon and Frankl studied of maximum number of edges in an $n$-vertex $\{K_{k+1}, M_{s+1}\}$-free graph, where $K_{k+1}$ is a complete graph on $k+1$ vertices and $M_{s+1}$ is a matching of $s+1$ edges. They determined the exact value of $ex(n, \{K_{k+1},M_{s+1}\})$. In this paper, we extend the matching $M_{s+1}$ to star forest $(s+1)S_l$, and determine the exact value of $ex(n, \{K_{k+1},(s+1)S_l\})$ for sufficiently large enough $n$. Furthermore, all the extremal graphs are obtained.

Let $F$ be a graph and let $\mathcal{B}_r(F)$ be the class of $r$-uniform Berge-$F$ hypergraphs. In this paper, by establishing a relationship between the spectral radius of the adjacency tensor of a uniform hypergraph and its local structure via walks, we give a spectral asymptotic bound for $\mathcal{B}_{r}(C_3)$-free linear $r$-uniform hypergraphs and upper bounds for the spectral radii of $\mathcal{B}_{r}(K_{2,t})$-free or $\{\mathcal{B}_{r}(K_{s,t}),\mathcal{B}_{r}(C_{3})\}$-free linear $r$-uniform hypergraphs, where $C_{3}$ and $K_{s,t}$ are respectively the triangle and the complete bipartite graph with one part having $s$ vertices and the other part having $t$ vertices. Our work implies an upper bound for the number of edges of $\{\mathcal{B}_{r}(K_{s,t}),\mathcal{B}_{r}(C_{3})\}$-free linear $r$-uniform hypergraphs, and extends some known work on (spectral) extreme problems of hypergraphs.

We investigate node representation learning on text-attributed graphs (TAGs), where nodes are associated with text information. Although recent studies on graph neural networks (GNNs) and pretrained language models (PLMs) have exhibited their power in encoding network and text signals, respectively, less attention has been paid to delicately coupling these two types of models on TAGs. Specifically, existing GNNs rarely model text in each node in a contextualized way; existing PLMs can hardly be applied to characterize graph structures due to their sequence architecture. To address these challenges, we propose HASH-CODE, a High-frequency Aware Spectral Hierarchical Contrastive Selective Coding method that integrates GNNs and PLMs into a unified model. Different from previous "cascaded architectures" that directly add GNN layers upon a PLM, our HASH-CODE relies on five self-supervised optimization objectives to facilitate thorough mutual enhancement between network and text signals in diverse granularities. Moreover, we show that existing contrastive objective learns the low-frequency component of the augmentation graph and propose a high-frequency component (HFC)-aware contrastive learning objective that makes the learned embeddings more distinctive. Extensive experiments on six real-world benchmarks substantiate the efficacy of our proposed approach. For a family of graphs $\mathcal{F}$, the Tur\'{a}n number $ex(n,\mathcal{F})$ is the maximum number of edges in an $n$-vertex graph containing no member of $\mathcal{F}$ as a subgraph. The maximum number of edges in an $n$-vertex connected graph containing no member of $\mathcal{F}$ as a subgraph is denoted by $ex_{conn}(n,\mathcal{F})$. Let $P_k$ be the path on $k$ vertices and $H$ be a graph with chromatic number more than $2$. Katona and Xiao [Extremal graphs without long paths and large cliques, European J. Combin., 2023 103807] posed the following conjecture: Suppose that the chromatic number of $H$ is more than $2$. Then $ex\big(n,\{H,P_k\}\big)=n\max\big\{\big\lfloor \frac{k}{2}\big\rfloor-1,\frac{ex(k-1,H)}{k-1}\big\}+O_k(1)$. For a simple graph $F$, let $\mathrm{EX}(n, F)$ and $\mathrm{EX_{sp}}(n,F)$ be the set of graphs with the maximum number of edges and the set of graphs with the maximum spectral radius in an $n$-vertex graph without any copy of the graph $F$, respectively. Let $F$ be a graph with $\mathrm{ex}(n,F)=e(T_{n,r})+O(1)$. In this paper, we show that $\mathrm{EX_{sp}}(n,kF)\subseteq \mathrm{EX}(n,kF)$ for sufficiently large $n$. The edge blow-up of a graph $G$, denoted by $G^{p+1}$, is obtained by replacing each edge of $G$ with a clique of order $p+1$, where the new vertices of the cliques are all distinct. Yuan [J. Comb. An $r$-uniform hypergraph is linear if every two edges intersect in at most one vertex. The $r$-expansion $F^{r}$ of a graph $F$ is the $r$-uniform hypergraph obtained from $F$ by enlarging each edge of $F$ with a vertex subset of size $r-2$ disjoint from the vertex set of $F$ such that distinct edges are enlarged by disjoint subsets. Let $ex_{r}^{lin}(n,F^{r})$ and $spex_{r}^{lin}(n,F^{r})$ be the maximum number of edges and the maximum spectral radius of all $F^{r}$-free linear $r$-uniform hypergraphs with $n$ vertices, respectively. In this paper, we present the sharp (or asymptotic) bounds of $ex_{r}^{lin}( n,F^{r})$ and $spex_{r}^{lin}(n,F^{r})$ by establishing the connection between the spectral radii of linear hypergraphs and those of their shadow graphs, where $F$ is a $(k+1)$-color critical graph or a graph with chromatic number $k$.

Given a graph $T$ and a family of graphs $\mathcal{F}$, the generalized Tur\'an number of $\mathcal{F}$ is the maximum number of copies of $T$ in an $\mathcal{F}$-free graph on $n$ vertices, denoted by $ex(n,T,\mathcal{F})$. When $T = K_r$, $ex(n, K_r, \mathcal{F})$ is a function specifying the maximum possible number of $r$-cliques in an $\mathcal{F}$-free graph on $n$ vertices. A linear forest is a forest whose connected components are all paths and isolated vertices. Let $\mathcal{L}_{k}$ be the family of all linear forests of size $k$ without isolated vertices. In this paper, we obtained the maximum possible number of $r$-cliques in $G$, where $G$ is $\mathcal{L}_{k}$-free with minimum degree at least $d$. The $kK_{r+1}$ is the union of $k$ disjoint copies of $(r+1)$-clique. Moon [Canad. J. Math. 20 (1968) 95--102] and Simonovits [Theory of Graphs (Proc. colloq., Tihany, 1996)] independently showed that if $n$ is sufficiently large, then $K_{k-1}\vee T_{n-k+1,r}$ is the unique extremal graph for $kK_{r+1}$. In this paper, we consider the graph which has the maximum spectral radius among all graphs without $k$ disjoint cliques. Let $G$ be a cancellative $3$-uniform hypergraph in which the symmetric difference of any two edges is not contained in a third one. Equivalently, a $3$-uniform hypergraph $G$ is cancellative if and only if $G$ is $\{F_4, F_5\}$-free, where $F_4 = \{abc, abd, bcd\}$ and $F_5 = \{abc, abd, cde\}$. A classical result in extremal combinatorics stated that the maximum size of a cancellative hypergraph is achieved by the balanced complete tripartite $3$-uniform hypergraph, which was firstly proved by Bollob\'as and later by Keevash and Mubayi. In this paper, we consider spectral extremal problems for cancellative hypergraphs. More precisely, we determine the maximum $p$-spectral radius of cancellative $3$-uniform hypergraphs, and characterize the extremal hypergraph. For a simple graph $F$, let $\mathrm{Ex}(n, F)$ and $\mathrm{Ex_{sp}}(n,F)$ denote the set of graphs with the maximum number of edges and the set of graphs with the maximum spectral radius in an $n$-vertex graph without any copy of the graph $F$, respectively. The Tur\'an graph $T_{n,r}$ is the complete $r$-partite graph on $n$ vertices where its part sizes are as equal as possible. Cioab\u{a}, Desai and Tait [The spectral radius of graphs with no odd wheels, European J. Combin., 99 (2022) 103420] posed the following conjecture: Let $F$ be any graph such that the graphs in $\mathrm{Ex}(n,F)$ are Tur\'{a}n graphs plus $O(1)$ edges. Then $\mathrm{Ex_{sp}}(n,F)\subset \mathrm{Ex}(n,F)$ for sufficiently large $n$. In this paper we consider the graph $F$ such that the graphs in $\mathrm{Ex}(n, F)$ are obtained from $T_{n,r}$ by adding $O(1)$ edges, and prove that if $G$ has the maximum spectral radius among all $n$-vertex graphs not containing $F$, then $G$ is a member of $\mathrm{Ex}(n, F)$ for $n$ large enough. Let $A_n=(a_1,a_2,\ldots,a_n)$ and $B_n=(b_1,b_2,\ldots,b_n)$ be nonnegative integer sequences with $A_n\le B_n$. The purpose of this note is to give a good characterization such that every integer sequence $\pi=(d_1,d_2,\ldots d_n)$ with even sum and $A_n\le \pi\le B_n$ is graphic. This solves a forcible version of problem posed by Niessen and generalizes the Erd\H{o}s--Gallai theorem.

An edge-colored hypergraph is rainbow if all of its edges have different colors. Given two hypergraphs $\mathcal{H}$ and $\mathcal{G}$, the anti-Ramsey number $ar(\mathcal{G}, \mathcal{H})$ of $\mathcal{H}$ in $\mathcal{G}$ is the maximum number of colors needed to color the edges of $\mathcal{G}$ so that there does not exist a rainbow copy of $\mathcal{H}$. Li et al. determined the anti-Ramsey number of $k$-matchings in complete bipartite graphs. Jin and Zang showed the uniqueness of the extremal coloring. In this paper, as a generalization of these results, we determine the anti-Ramsey number $ar_r(\mathcal{K}_{n_1,\ldots,n_r},M_k)$ of $k$-matchings in complete $r$-partite $r$-uniform hypergraphs and show the uniqueness of the extremal coloring. Also, we show that $\mathcal{K}_{k-1,n_2,\ldots,n_r}$ is the unique extremal hypergraph for Tur\'{a}n number $ex_r(\mathcal{K}_{n_1,\ldots,n_r},M_k)$ and show that $ar_r(\mathcal{K}_{n_1,\ldots,n_r},$ $M_k)=ex_r(\mathcal{K}_{n_1,\ldots,n_r},M_{k-1})+1$, which gives a multi-partite version result of \"Ozkahya and Young's conjecture., Comment: 12

The $(k,r)$-fan is the graph consisting of $k$ copies of the complete graph $K_r$ which intersect in a single vertex, and is denoted by $F_{k,r}$. Erd\H{o}s, F\"uredi, Gould and Gunderson [J. Combin. Theory Ser. B 64 (1995) 89--100] determined the maximum number of edges in an $n$-vertex graph that does not contain $F_{k,3}$ as a subgraph. Furthermore, Chen, Gould, Pfender and Wei [J. Combin. Theory Ser. B 89 (2003) 159--171] proved the analogous result on $F_{k,r}$ for the general case $r\ge 3$.In this paper, we show that for sufficiently large $n$, the graphs of order $n$ that contain no copy of $F_{k,r}$ and attain the maximum spectral radius are also edge-extremal. In this paper, using the theory of matching polynomial of hypertrees and ordering of hypertrees, we determine the largest spectral radius of hypertrees with $m$ edges and given size of matching.

We study matching polynomials of uniform hypergraph and spectral radii of uniform supertrees. By comparing the matching polynomials of supertrees, we extend Li and Feng's results on grafting operations on graphs to supertrees. Using the methods of grafting operations on supertrees and comparing matching polynomials of supertrees, we determine the first $\lfloor\frac{d}{2}\rfloor+1$ largest spectral radii of $r$-uniform supertrees with size $m$ and diameter $d$. A matching in a hypergraph $H$ is a set of pairwise disjoint hyperedges. The matching number $\alpha'(H)$ of $H$ is the size of a maximum matching in $H$. A subset $D$ of vertices of $H$ is a dominating set of $H$ if for every $v\in V\setminus D$ there exists $u\in D$ such that $u$ and $v$ lie in an hyperedge of $H$. The cardinality of a minimum dominating set of $H$ is called the domination number of $H$, denoted by $\gamma(H)$. It is known that for a intersecting hypergraph $H$ with rank $r$, $\gamma(H)\leq r-1$. In this paper we present structural properties on intersecting hypergraphs with rank $r$ satisfying the equality $\gamma(H)=r-1$. By applying the properties we show that all linear intersecting hypergraphs $H$ with rank $4$ satisfying $\gamma(H)=r-1$ can be constructed by the well-known Fano plane.

Let $\mathcal{A}(H)$ and $\mathcal{Q}(H)$ be the adjacency tensor and signless Laplacian tensor of an $r$-uniform hypergraph $H$. Denote by $\rho(H)$ and $\rho(\mathcal{Q}(H))$ the spectral radii of $\mathcal{A}(H)$ and $\mathcal{Q}(H)$, respectively. In this paper we present a lower bound on $\rho(H)$ in terms of vertex degrees and we characterize the extremal hypergraphs attaining the bound, which solves a problem posed by Nikiforov [V. Nikiforov, Analytic methods for uniform hypergraphs, Linear Algebra Appl. 457 (2014) 455-535]. Also, we prove a lower bound on $\rho(\mathcal{Q}(H))$ concerning degrees and give a characterization of the extremal hypergraphs attaining the bound.

A matching in a hypergraph $\mathcal{H}$ is a set of pairwise disjoint hyperedges. The matching number $\nu(\mathcal{H})$ of $\mathcal{H}$ is the size of a maximum matching in $\mathcal{H}$. A subset $D$ of vertices of $\mathcal{H}$ is a dominating set of $\mathcal{H}$ if for every $v\in V\setminus D$ there exists $u\in D$ such that $u$ and $v$ lie in an hyperedge of $\mathcal{H}$. The cardinality of a minimum dominating set of $\mathcal{H}$ is the domination number of $\mathcal{H}$, denoted by $\gamma(\mathcal{H})$. It was proved that $\gamma(\mathcal{H})\leq (r-1)\nu(\mathcal{H})$ for $r$-uniform hypergraphs and the 2-uniform hypergraphs (graphs) achieving equality $\gamma(\mathcal{H})=\nu(\mathcal{H})$ have been characterized. In this paper we generalize the inequality $\gamma(\mathcal{H})\leq (r-1)\nu(\mathcal{H})$ to arbitrary hypergraph of rank $r$ and we completely characterize the extremal hypergraphs $\mathcal{H}$ of rank $3$ achieving equality $\gamma(\mathcal{H})=(r-1)\nu(\mathcal{H})$.

Let $\mathcal{A}(H)$ be the adjacency tensor of $r$-uniform hypergraph $H$. If $H$ is connected, the unique positive eigenvector $x=(x_1,x_2,\ldots,x_n)^{\mathrm{T}}$ with $||x||_r=1$ corresponding to spectral radius $\rho(H)$ is called the principal eigenvector of $H$. The maximum and minimum entries of $x$ are denoted by $x_{\max}$ and $x_{\min}$, respectively. In this paper, we investigate the bounds of $x_{\max}$ and $x_{\min}$ in the principal eigenvector of $H$. Meanwhile, we also obtain some bounds of the ratio $x_i/x_j$ for $i$, $j\in [n]$ as well as the principal ratio $\gamma(H)=x_{\max}/x_{\min}$ of $H$. Let A(G) be the adjacency tensor (hypermatrix) of uniform hypergraph G. The maximum modulus of the eigenvalues of A(G) is called the spectral radius of G. In this paper, the conjecture of Fan et al. in [5] related to compare the spectral radii of some three uniform hypergraphs is solved. Moreover, some eigenvalues properties of a kind of uniform hypergraphs are obtained.

A matching in a hypergraph $H$ is a set of pairwise vertex disjoint edges in $H$ and the matching number of $H$ is the maximum cardinality of a matching in $H$. A transversal in $H$ is a subset of vertices in $H$ that has a nonempty intersection with every edge of $H$. The transversal number $\tau(H)$ of $H$ is the minimum cardinality of a transversal in $H$. A hypergraph $H$ is an intersecting hypergraph if every two distinct edges of $H$ have a non-empty intersection. Equivalently, $H$ is an intersecting hypergraph if and only if it has matching number one. In this paper we study the extremal behavior of matching critical intersecting hypergraphs. We partly solve an open problem on matching critical intersecting hypergraphs posed by Henning and Yeo.
