Abstract

The galvanomagnetic electromotive force (GEMF) refers to the perpendicular component of the effective electric field to the current with slightly adjusted strictness conditions. Fabrication of a new active metal device based on GEMF indicated a power gain of 2.5, supporting the development of similarly new device types based on different semiconductor active device properties.

Abstract

Selenization of Fe films using molecular beam epitaxy equipment was undertaken to prepare FexSey films on GaAs(001) substrates. Their structural and magnetic properties were studied, and the selenized films obtained comprised polycrystalline grains of 100-170 nm. Magnetic anisotropy was weakened when the selenization ratio of the samples was increased.

Abstract

Dynamic magnetization processes in CoFeSiB amorphous wires with bamboo domain structures have been studied with observations of ac voltage-current relations of the wires depending on dc bias magnetic fields. A novel behavior of the dynamic magnetization processes is found in the gold-plated wires. This novel behavior is useful for improvement of performances in magnetic-field-sensing devices using the wires.

Abstract

A magnetization process of FeCoSiB amorphous wire under the ac circumferential magnetic field with a triangular waveform is investigated. We obtained the locus chart of the magnetization vector under circular magnetic field, [h.sub.[Theta]]. By increasing the time differential component of [h.sub.[Theta]], d[h.sub.[Theta]]/dt, the hysteresis becomes noticeable gradually. It is believed that an eddy current damping is responsible for this phenomenon.

Abstract

Dependence of magnetization dynamics and magneto-impedance effect in positively magnetostrictive [Fe.sub.77.5][Si.sub.7.5][B.sub.15] amorphous wires on annealing conditions was studied. The observed MI ratio of the annealed samples was as much as 36% and the optimum annealing conditions were suggested. The locus of magnetization vector of the annealed wire indicated that the circumferential magnetization was easily proceeded in the annealed wire. It was also suggested that the effect of oxidation should be considered for the samples annealed in air.
