By reviewing three key texts on Gandhian philosophy, it underscores the enduring significance of his principles of nonviolence and ethical governance, aiming to inspire societies to adopt his framework for a more just and sustainable future. This study examines the impact of menstrual management awareness training among beneficiaries of the Jalodari Project in Assam, India, covering three tea estates. Quantitative and qualitative data were gathered from 175 participants using various methods. The success of this project can be attributed to the successful implementation and monitoring of key performance indicators. The four-part training, covering menstrual basics and reproductive health, aims to empower participants to effectively manage their menstrual health. The study concludes that menstrual management training is a fundamental component of healthcare of women and that home visits can significantly enhance the effectiveness of awareness training. Sustainability is one of the significant development paradigms of the present world because of increasing concerns about environmental deterioration. Sustainability depends on the interaction among various social, economic and environmental factors. Thus, the role of people, resources and technologies become vital. Although people, resources and technologies play an essential role in ensuring sustainability, sustainability is impossible without proper policy intervention. Accordingly, institutions become an integral component of sustainability. Humanity has developed common sustainable goals, yet the way to achieve them remains a critical question for policymakers and a major component of political discourse. Sustainability is one of the pre-conditions for development in the post-world war period. The primary objective of sustainability is to achieve the present needs without disturbing the ability of subsequent generations to meet their needs. Therefore, one of the world's priorities is developing a blueprint to achieve sustainable development for all to have no hunger, unemployment, and no ecological disturbances. Gram Swaraj or Village Swaraj is a unique idea proposed by Mahatma Gandhi to achieve a self-reliant village as most people in India live in the village. The objective of Gram Swaraj is to address various development issues of rural areas. One of the significant attributes of Gram Swaraj is the village industry, as Gandhi believed that the village industry has the potential to employ a large section of rural society. Scholars and development planers considered Gram Swaraj as one of the important models for rural development. However, after independence, the policymakers emphasised more on economic growth than the moral and ethical value, which is the backbone of Gram Swaraj. With the outbreak of Covid-19, it became the prime concern for development planners to search for alternative development models to cope with economic challenges, basically unemployment.
