Türkiye, yenilenebilir güneş enerjisi potansiyeli yüksek olan bir ülkedir. Fotovoltaik panel sistemlerinden elde edilen elektrik enerjisinin kullanımı ise ülkemizde son yıllarda artmıştır. Bu konu ile alakalı devletimiz de teşvikler vermektedir; fakat ev yüklerinde kullanılan enerji şebeke elektrik enerjisi olduğundan dolayı fotovoltaik sistemlerin çıkışında sabit gerilim elde edilmelidir. Sistem çıkışında elde edilen enerjide meydana gelebilecek bir dalgalanma veya harmonikler ev yüklerine ve şebekeye zarar vermektedir. Bu çalışmada, modellenmiş bir ev tipi yük uygulaması için batarya destekli fotovoltaik güç kaynağı modellenmiş ve simüle edilmiştir. Sistemde meydana gelebilecek yük değişimlerine karşın MPPT tasarlanmıştır. MPPT tasarımında güç ve akım ilişkisi göz önünde bulundurulmuştur. Kullanılan yöntem sayesinde sistemde bulunan batarya ve beslenen yükler korunmuştur. Sabit bara gerilimi çıkışında DA / AA evirici kullanılmıştır. PI kontrol sistemi sayesinde batarya sistem grubundan şarj veya deşarj akımı kullanılmıştır. Tüm sistem; fotovoltaik panel, elektriksel yükler, DA / DA yükseltici ve DA / AA evirici dönüştürücü, kontrol yapıları ve şebeke modeli MATLAB / Simülink simülasyon programında modellenmiş ve sistem alınan sonuçlar ile doğrulanmıştır. AA bara çıkışında sabit bir gerilim elde edilmiş ve LC filtre ile gerilim üzerindeki dalgalanmalar giderilmiştir., Turkey is a country with a high potential for renewable solar energy. The use of electrical energy obtained from photovoltaic panel systems has increased in our country in recent years. Our government also gives incentives on this subject, but since the energy used in household loads is electricity from the grid, a constant voltage should be obtained at the output of photovoltaic systems. A fluctuation or harmonics that may occur in the energy obtained at the system output damage the house loads and the grid. In this study, a battery-assisted photovoltaic power supply is modeled and simulated for a modeled househeld load application. MPPT is designed against load changes that may occur in the system. In MPPT design, the relationship between power and current has been considered. Thanks to the method used, the battery and the fed loads in the system are protected. DC / AC inverter is used at the output of fixed busbar voltage. Thanks to the PI control system, charge or discharge current from the battery system group is used. Whole system; photovoltaic panel, electrical loads, DC / DC boost converter and DC / AC inverter converter, control structures and grid model were modeled in the MATLAB / Simülink simulation program and the system was verified with the results. A constant voltage was obtained at the AC bus output and the fluctuations on the voltage were removed with the LC filter.

DC-DC converters have recently been started to be used frequently in power electronics applications in parallel with the development of semiconductor technology. It is possible to encounter frequently to these converters, which are basically divided into two groups as DC choppers and switching regulators, in transport vehicles, chargers and physically small electronic devices. Also, choppers are one of the effective methods used to control of DC motor. In this paper, a detailed analysis of DC choppers, a type of DC-DC converters, has been performed. Firstly, DC choppers operating in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th quadrants have been designed separately. Secondly, a converter model operating in both the 1st quadrant and the 3nd quadrant has been designed by combining the 1st and 3rd quadrant converters due to the fact that two-quadrants or fourquadrants control can be performed by combining the quadrants. Finally, all of the simulation models have been designed in the Matlab/SIMULINK environment and the current and voltage components of the converters have been measured. Furthermore, an example of DC motor speed control with a chopper having one quadrant have been given as an example to the application areas of the choppers. Consequently, it has been observed that the performance of the chopper fed control techniques is also quite high compared with the DC motor control techniques in the literature.

Bu tez çalışmasında, düşük hızlarda hareket eden doğrudan sürüşlü elektrikli araçlar için, teker içi fırçasız doğru akım motorları (FDAM)'nın kullanıldığı bulanık mantık tabanlı bir elektronik diferansiyel sistemi (EDS) değişik çalışma koşulları altında tasarlanmış ve gerçekleştirilmiştir. Aracın düz ve virajlı yollardaki hareketini sağlayan, arka iki teker içine gömülü FDAM'nin hız denetimi için PI, histerezis bant ve bulanık mantık denetleyicileri içeren farklı kontrol yöntemleri incelenmiştir. Hız ve akım hataları için bulanık mantık denetleyicilerin birlikte kullanıldığı hız denetim modeli ilk kez bu tezde sunulmuştur. Seçilen tahrik motorlarına uygulanan denetim modelleri, benzetim ve deneysel çalışmalar ile incelenmiş ve karşılaştırılmıştır. Böylece elektronik diferansiyel sistemi için uygun model belirlenmiştir. Sunulan elektronik diferansiyel sistemi, düz ve virajlı yollarda hem yüksüz hem de yük altında deneysel ve benzetim çalışmaları ile sınanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar literatürde sunulan sonuçlarla karşılaştırıldığında tezde önerilen elektronik diferansiyel sistemi ile aracın, düz veya virajlı yollarda ve yokuş tırmanışı durumunda arzulanan performansta hareket ettiği gözlenmiştir. In this thesis, for direct driven electric vehicles moving at low speed, an electronic differential (ED) system based on fuzzy logic is designed and implemented under some operational conditions, using in-wheel brushless DC (BLDC) motors. Different types of control methods such as PI, histeresis band and fuzzy logic controller are examined for the speed control of BLDC motors attached to the rear wheels to drive vehicle on straight and curvy roads. A speed control method used with fuzzy logic controllers for the speed and current errors is offered to the literature for the first time in this research. Control methods applied for the traction motors are studied and compared with simulations and experiments. Thus a proper control method is decided for the electronic differential system. The ED system is tested on straight and curvy roads both loaded and unloaded with simulation and experiments. When the results obtained are compared with the results presented in the literature, it has been observed that the vehicle with the electronic differential system proposed in this thesis moves with desired performance on straight, curvy, and uphill road. 169

An example of the standalone system is that Photovoltaic energy is being used in irrigation process for pumping water from the river to fields mostly in arid region. Where rain fall is very less, supply of grid connected electricity is insufficient and watering is necessary for crop. To fulfil this blank there was a need of convenient and cheap technology which can help to overcome this issue. Due to rising oil prices, global warming and limited resources of fossil fuels have increased the need for substitution. This work includes the study of design and implementation of single phase transformerless photovoltaic system feeding a single-phase induction motor to run the centrifugal water pump and the methodology to achieve the best performance. DC-DC Boost converter is used to maximize the output voltage which was done by using MPPT and buck-boost controller by extracting the maximum power through the PV array. The DC voltage is then converter to AC output by using single phase inverter which gives the AC output to the single phase IMD. The system uses scalar control of motor in order to get the maximum output speed of the motor to run the centrifugal water pump. Computer simulations were practiced, and results are taken. All results and simulations are carried out in MATLAB Simulink. 82

Yenilenebilir enerjinin geliştirilmesi, bugünün ve yarının enerji sorunuyla yüzleşmek için kaçınılmaz görünüyor. Bununla birlikte, güneş enerjisi veya rüzgar enerjisi gibi umut verici yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarından enerji üretim durumu hava koşullarına bağlı olması nedeniyle öngörülememektedir. Development of renewable energy sources seem inevitable to face the energy challenge of today and tomorrow. However, the power generation using promising renewable energy sources such as solar or wind power is intermittent and unpredictable due to the weather conditions. In order to provide the energy coming from these sources to the different components of the electric installation a power converters connect components to the grid. In the case of the transformerless conversion system introduce here, a high-efficiency DC-DC converter is required. In this study, we have presented a non-isolated DC-DC buck converter with one input voltage coming from the photovoltaic source. This input will provide dual output voltages. An exhaustive control strategies and small signal modeling for the proposed converter will be presented. The simulation of the system is performed using Matlab Simulink and the experimental results are presented. 108

Bu çalışmada, elektrik piyasa takas fiyatının (PTF) tahmin edilmesi için yapay sinir ağı (YSA) ve ANFIS modeli oluşturuldu. Modelin giriş değişkenleri olarak birincil enerji kaynaklarının üretim miktarı kullanılmıştır. Giriş değişkenleri üç kategori oluşturularak modele uygulanmıştır. İlk kategoride herbir birincil enerji kaynaklarının ayrı ayrı üretim miktarı, ikinci kategoride birincil enerji kaynakları bileşikleri oluşturularak bunlara ait üretim miktarları, üçüncü kategoride ise herbir birincil enerji kaynağının modele uygulanmasıyla elde edilen PTF'lerin herbir birincil enerji kaynağının toplam üretimdeki oranıyla çarpılarak yeni kısmi PTF'ler bulunmuştur ve her bir kısmi elde edilen PTF'lerin toplanmasıyla yeni PTF değeri elde edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlar incelendiğinde PTF ile birincil enerji kaynakları arasında sıkı bağ olduğu gözükmektedir. Hidrolik birincil enerji kaynağı ile doğru doğalgaz birincil enerji kaynağı ile ters orantılı olarak değişmektedir. Modellerimizdeki sonuçlar kıyaslandığında üçüncü kategori kapsamında en başarı sonuçlar elde edilerek ANFIS için %3,74 YSA için %5,80 MAPE hata oranları bulunmuştur. Sonuçların gerçeğe yakınlığı elektrik piyasa takas fiyatı tahmin modellemelerinde birincil enerji kaynaklarının baz alınması daha doğru sonuçların elde edilmesine yardımcı olacaktır. Modelden elde edilen sonuçların doğruluğu birincil enerji kaynaklarının yeterli miktarda olmasına bağlıdır. Çünkü oluşan arz sıkıntısı ya da bazı birincil enerji kaynak yetersizliği nedeniyle diğer birincil enerji kaynaklarının daha fazla devreye alınmasına bağlı olarak üretimdeki aşırı artışların modeli olumsuz etkilediği ortaya çıkmıştır. In this study, an artificial neural network (ANN) and ANFIS model was established to estimate the electricity market clearing price (MCL). Production quantities of primary energy sources are used as input variables of the model. The input variables are modeled by creating three categories. In the first category, the amount of production of each primary energy source separately, in the second category, compounds of primary energy sources are formed and their production quantities, in the third category, new partial MCLs are found by multiplying each primary energy source of MCLs obtained by modifying each primary energy source by the ratio of total production and a new MCL value is obtained by collecting each partially obtained MCL. When these results are examined it appears that there is a close connection between MCL and primary energy sources. With hydraulic primary energy source, the right natural gas is inversely proportional to the primary energy source. When the results of our models were compared, the most successful results were obtained within the third category and MAPE error rates were found as 3.74% for ANFIS and 5.80% for ANN. The fact that the results are close to reality will help to obtain more accurate results in the electricity market clearing price forecasting models based on primary energy sources. The accuracy of the results obtained from the model depends on the availability of primary energy sources. Because of the resulting supply shortage or some primary energy resource shortage, it has been shown that excessive increases in production adversely affect the model, due to the fact that the other primary energy sources are being replaced. 112

Bu tez çalışmasında, hem düşük hem de yüksek hızlarda çalışan fırçasız doğru akım motorlarının (FDAM) faz akımlarının komütasyonu sırasında meydana gelen moment dalgalanmalarının doğru akım (DA) hat gerilim kontrol tekniği kullanılarak azaltılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu teknik, evirici girişine bir DA-DA dönüştürücü yerleştirilerek komütasyon anlarında gelen ve çıkan faz akımlarının eğimlerinin maksimum seviyede eşitlenmesi için gerekli olan gerilim seviyesinin elde edilmesi ile sağlanmıştır. Bu işlemin gerçekleştirilmesi için bir bölge seçici devre tasarlanmıştır. Komütasyon bölgesinde tasarımı yapılan bölge seçici devre, iletim bölgesinde ise FDAM'nin normal kaynak gerilimi kullanılmıştır. Sunulan benzetim çalışması farklı yük ve farklı hız koşulları altında denetlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar klasik FDAM'nin çalışma sonuçları ile karşılaştırıldığında sunulan çalışmada komütasyon anlarında meydana gelen moment dalgalanmalarının önemli ölçüde azaldığı gözlenmiştir. In this thesis, it is aimed to reduce the torque ripples occurring during commutation of phase currents of brushless direct current motors (BLDCM) operating at both low and high speeds by using direct current (DC) link voltage control technique. This technique is achieved by placing a DC-DC converter in front of the inverter to obtain the voltage level required to equalize the slopes of the incoming and outgoing phase currents during commutation at the maximum level. A mode selector circuit is designed for this operation. The mode selective circuit was used in the commutation times. Except for commutation time was used the normal source voltage of the BLDCM. The simulation studies carried out under different load and different speed conditions. When the simulation results are compared with those of the traditional BLDCM, it was observed that the torque ripples occurring in commutation decreased considerably. 151
