We explore the bounds that can be placed on interactions between cold dark matter and vacuum energy, with equation of state $w=-1$, using state-of-the-art cosmological observations. We consider linear perturbations about a simple background model where the energy transfer per Hubble time, $Q/H$, is a general linear function of the dark matter density, $\rho_c$, and vacuum energy, $V$. We explain the parameter degeneracies found when fitting cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropies alone, and show how these are broken by the addition of supernovae data, baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO) and redshift-space distortions (RSD). In particular, care must be taken when relating redshift-space distortions to the growth of structure in the presence of non-zero energy transfer. Interactions in the dark sector can alleviate the tensions between low-redshift measurements of the Hubble parameter, $H_0$, or weak-lensing, $S_8$, and the values inferred from CMB data. However these tensions return when we include constraints from supernova and BAO-RSD datasets. In the general linear interaction model we show that, while it is possible to relax both the Hubble and weak-lensing tensions simultaneously, the reduction in these tensions is modest (reduced to less slightly than $4\sigma$ and $2\sigma$ respectively)., Comment: 37 pages, 12 figures, v2: Version accepted for publication

We present a phase-space analysis of the qualitative dynamics cosmologies where dark matter exchanges energy with the vacuum component. We find fixed points corresponding to power-law solutions where the different components remain a constant fraction of the total energy density and given an existence condition for any fixed points with nonvanishing energy transfer. For some interaction models we find novel fixed points in the presence of a third noninteracting fluid with constant equation of state, such as radiation, where the interacting vacuum+matter tracks the evolution of the third fluid, analogous to tracker solutions previously found for self-interacting scalar fields. We illustrate the phase-plane behavior, determining the equation of state and stability of the fixed points in the case of a simple linear interaction model, for interacting vacuum and dark matter, including the presence of noninteracting radiation. We apply the Lagrangian perturbation theory with time-dependent growth functions at second and third order of perturbation with the aim to model the effect of dynamical dark energy on redshift-space distortions. Our fiducial galaxy redshift surveys are modeled after the upcoming SKA and DESI redshift surveys. We include PLANCK CMB priors and the 20\% uncertainty on the linear bias parameter, incorporating the unknown instrumentation noise. After the marginalizing, our results show that the constraints on the density parameter could potentially get better than $\sim$1\%, while the constraints on $w_0$ and $w_{\rm a}$ could be better than $\sim 5\%$ and $\sim 60\%$ respectively, consistent with works done before. However, the inclusion of time-dependent growth functions would alter the nonlinear power spectrum by as much as $\sim$10\%. We study the dynamics of Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) dark energy interacting with dark matter. The DBI dark energy model considered here has a scalar field with a nonstandard kinetic energy term, and has potential and brane tension that are power-law functions. The new feature considered here is an interaction between the DBI dark energy and dark matter through a phenomenological interaction between the DBI scalar field and the dark matter fluid. We analyze two different types of interactions between the DBI scalar field and the dark matter fluid. In particular we study the phase-space diagrams of and look for critical points of the phase space that are both stable and lead to accelerated, late-time expansion. In general we find that the interaction between the two dark components does not appear to give rise to late-time accelerated expansion. However, the interaction can make the critical points in the phase space of the system stable. In this paper, power-law cosmology whose scale factor is a power of time, $a \propto t^{\a}$, is investigated. Considering late universe with canonical scalar field and dust domination, we use observational data from Cosmic Microwave Background (WMAP7), Baryon Acoustic Oscillations (BAO) and observational Hubble data to find power exponent $\a$ of the power-law and other cosmological variables. The power $\a$ is found to be $0.99 \pm 0.02$ (WMAP7+BAO+$H_0$) and $0.99 \pm 0.04$ (WMAP7). These values do not exclude possibility of acceleration at 1$\sigma$ hence giving viability to power-law cosmology in general. When considering scenario of canonical scalar field dark energy with power-law expansion, we derive scalar field potential, exact solution, equation of state parameter and plots their evolutions using observational data. We confirm that the scenario of power-law cosmology containing dynamical canonical scalar field is ruled out by WMAP7 data since its present value of equation of state parameter does not match the WMAP7 result, i.e. the scalar-field power-law cosmology using WMAP7 gives $w_{\phi, 0} = -0.4493 \pm 0.0300 $ while the $w_{\phi}$CDM with WMAP7 data allows a maximum (+1$\sigma$) value of the equation of state parameter at $w_{\phi, 0} = -0.69$., Comment: This article has been withdrawn by the author due to new version submission with substantially change to the content. We investigate phantom cosmology in which the scale factor is a power law, and we use cosmological observations from Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB), Baryon Acoustic Oscillations (BAO) and observational Hubble data, in order to impose complete constraints on the model parameters. We find that the power-law exponent is $\beta\approx-6.51^{+0.24}_{-0.25}$, while the Big Rip is realized at $t_s\approx104.5^{+1.9}_{-2.0}$ Gyr, in 1$\sigma$ confidence level. Providing late-time asymptotic expressions, we find that the dark-energy equation-of-state parameter at the Big Rip remains finite and equal to $w_{DE}\approx -1.153$, with the dark-energy density and pressure diverging.
