Background: Uterine anomalies occur because of Müllerian duct maldevelopment. Few of them are associated with adverse obstetric outcome (Reyes-Muñoz et al. in Diagnostics. 2019;9:4. https://doi.org/10.3390/diagnostics9040149 ). Genital outflow tract obstructive uterine anomalies invariably present in the adolescent age group., Case Details: We report a case series of uterine anomalies. Ten such cases presented like a "cluster" within a short span of just one month. Eight of these ten cases were diagnosed intraoperatively during cesarean section. One case was diagnosed during laparoscopic sterilization, and the other case was diagnosed before doing manual vacuum aspiration. There were four cases of bicornuate uterus, two cases each of unicornuate uterus and uterine didelphys, and one case each of septate uterus and arcuate uterus. All eight babies were healthy and without any obvious congenital anomalies. To the best of the authors' knowledge, literature regarding these anomalies has been mentioned mostly as case reports (Bruand et al. in Cureus. 2020;12:3. https://doi.org/10.7759/cureus.7191 ) and a few case series (Ross et al. in BMJ Case Rep. 2018. https://doi.org/10.1136/bcr-2017-221815 ). All women were of Kannadiga ethnicity and in the age range of 19-35 years. They were from places nearby to our institute within a range of approximately 250 km., Conclusion: We describe herein almost all types of uterine anomalies. These rare uterine anomalies presented in a short span of just four weeks like a "cluster". This incidental finding is unusual. Background: Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the world, affecting mainly women residing in low- and middle-income countries. Progression from a pre-invasive phase to that of an invasive phase generally takes years and provides a window of opportunity to screen for and treat precancerous lesions., Methods: This study is being conducted at four sites in north Karnataka, India. Community sensitization activities have been organized in the study areas to create awareness among stakeholders, including elected representatives, physicians, health care workers, and potential participants. Organized community based as well as hospital-based screening is being conducted using visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA). Screen positive women are referred to respective study hospitals for colposcopy and directed biopsy. Participants with confirmed high-grade cervical dysplasia (high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions or HSIL) who fit all other eligibility criteria will be recruited to the study and will receive cryotherapy using CryoPop®, an innovative new cryotherapy device., Discussion: There is a need to develop an inexpensive, simple, and effective cryotherapy device for use by frontline health care providers at locations where screening and timely treatment can be given, accelerating access to cervical cancer prevention services and minimizing loss to follow-up of women with precancerous lesions who need treatment., Trial Registration: Clinical Trial Registry - India CTRI/2019/01/017289 ClinicalTrials.Gov number NCT04154644 . "Kabadi's stitch" is a novel, reversible, conservative method of treating utero-vaginal prolapse by cervico-vaginal fixation to immobilize the prolapse in elderly, surgically unfit women. For a long time, vaginal constriction by introital stitch or vaginal wall approximation has been practiced as a conservative method. Objective: To study the role of hysterolaparoscopy in the evaluation and management of female infertility., Materials and Methods: A retrospective study of the 94 case files of all the patients who underwent diagnostic hysterolaparoscopy for infertility between January 2014 to June 2015 in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli. These infertile women were confirmed to have normal ovulatory cycles, hormonal assays and seminogram report. Dye studies as well as inspection for abnormal pelvic and intrauterine pathology and necessary therapeutic interventions were done during the procedure. Abnormal pelvic and intrauterine pathology by hysterolaparoscopy were categorized., Results: Out of 94 cases, 53.1 % patients had primary, 17.1 % patients had secondary infertility, and 29.8 % came for tubal recanalization. As a whole pelvic pathology was confirmed in 51.7 % and intrauterine pathology in 18.1 % patients by hysterolaparoscopy. The most common laparoscopic abnormality detected was ovarian pathology (20.8 %), followed by pelvic inflammatory disease (17.5 %). Tubal block comprised 7.7 % whereas distorted uterus by fibroid in 6.6 % and pelvic endometriosis in 5.4 %. In hysteroscopy, the incidence of uterine anomaly was 13 (13.8 %). Septate uterus is the most common with a mean incidence of approximately 7 (53.8 %)., Conclusion: Diagnostic hysterolaparoscopy is an effective diagnostic and therapeutic modality for certain significant and correctable abnormalities in pelvis, tubes and uterus which are missed by other imaging modalities., Competing Interests: Compliance with ethical standards Conflicts of interest The authors declare no conflict of interest.
