Considering the ongoing, record‐setting migration in the Global South, this paper explores the values, principles and ethical tensions of Venezuelan migrants in the informal economy of Colombia. We found that migrants frequently prefer to stay within the informal economy as a way of preserving their identities, values and principles, rather than adopting those of their new country. This choice sets up ethical tensions for the migrants and their host countries. Our analysis challenges the current policy goals of transitioning migrants from informal to formal economies as a mark of success and inclusion. Instead, we attempt to recognize the migrant voice and their agency capacity through our research using focus groups and applied thematic analysis (ATA) of popular music and narratives. Our findings broaden the understanding of why migrants choose to stay in the informal economy and challenge policy goals that focus on inclusion and integration of migrants into formal economy. AACSB adopted new and revised standards in 2020 that require business schools to demonstrate positive societal impact through internal and external activities. While many schools are already engaged in such activities, there seems to be no agreed-upon conceptualization or measurement of societal impact. This paper aims to help business schools organize, measure, and demonstrate their efforts to create positive societal impact and thus meet the updated AACSB standards. By using data from semi-structured interviews, this paper identifies different dimensions of positive societal impact and offers enablers and barriers in business school efforts to create such societal impact. Today's consumer is expected to make health‐care decisions that have serious implications for their welfare. However, a major barrier to these decisions is a basic lack of understanding of health insurance. A critical first step is to examine drivers of health insurance literacy and in turn offer interventions that can have a positive impact on consumer welfare. This article explores the relationship between relevant consumer psychographics, financial knowledge, and demographics with health insurance literacy. Results indicate that while demographics play a role, the degree to which consumers believe a situation or event is under their own control (i.e., locus of control), how they process information (i.e., cognitive style), and consumer's financial confidence (i.e., subjective knowledge) is a critical indicator of their health insurance literacy. The prevalence of bi-national products necessitates decomposing of COO into its dimensions—country-of-brand (COB) and country-of-manufacture (COM)—to enable a fuller understanding of how COO affects consumer perceptions and intentions. This study examines how consumers' trusting beliefs about a brand moderate the negative COB/COM image and purchase intention relationship. More specifically, this article hypothesizes that three trusting beliefs weaken the effects of negative COB/COM image on consumers' purchase intention. Data for this study were collected from 405 participants using an online survey tool. A hierarchical moderated regression method was used to test the hypotheses. The results suggest that consumers' trusting beliefs have a significant moderating effect on COM/COB and purchase intention relationships. More precisely, benevolence and integrity beliefs about a brand were found to weaken the negative COB image and purchase intention relationship, while benevolence and ability beliefs lessen the effect of negative COM image on purchase intention.
