This study has been aimed to develop three different knitted denim fabrics (3/1 twill) using cotton (30s) and eri silk (2/80 Nm) yarns in different proportions (100% cotton, 50/50 cotton/eri silk, 100% eri silk). Dimensional, physical and thermal comfort properties have been analysed for the developed samples. Thermal properties of the fabric are analysed using a flat plate thermal conductivity tester, and the wicking ability is measured with a vertical wicking tester. Eri silk knitted denim fabric is found with the excellent dimensional, physical and thermal comfort properties better than that of cotton and 50/50 cotton/eri silk blended knitted denim fabrics. This research explores the application of machine learning (ML)-based risk prediction models in early diabetes disease detection for healthcare professionals. Diabetes affects millions of people worldwide. In light of significant advancements in biomedical sciences, vast volumes of data have been generated, including high-throughput genetic and diagnostic data sourced from extensive health records. Leveraging an initial diabetes risk prediction dataset from the University of California Irvine (UCI) ML repository, our research focused on supervised learning techniques, constituting 85% of the employed methods. The remaining 15% comprised unsupervised learning approaches, specifically association rules. A key contribution of this study lies in the development of an optimal prediction model utilizing supervised ML algorithms. The Boruta feature selection algorithm was employed to identify pertinent features, and the subsequent models were validated using a preprocessed dataset containing 10 attributes. Notably, the risk prediction models generated through random forest, extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), and light gradient boosting machine (LightGBM) exhibited impressive average accuracies of 98.13%, 97.37%, and 97.22%, respectively, as determined via 10-fold cross-validation with 15 repetitions. Furthermore, these models achieved exceptional area under the ROC curve (AUC) values of 1, 0.99, and 0.99, respectively, showcasing their robustness and efficacy in diabetes risk prediction. In this study eri silk/micro denier polyester/bamboo, eri silk/micro denier polyester/tencel plated interlock fabrics and the moisture management properties have been developed and analyzed. The effects of raw material combination and fabric structure on moisture management properties with plated interlock knit fabrics are examined. For this study, two types of plated interlock knit structures have been developed. The outer layer made up of bamboo/tencel yarns (14.8 tex), the middle layer micro denier polyester (125 denier) connected with more tuck points, the next to skin layer made up of eri silk yarns (14.3 tex). The result shows that plated interlock knit structure are highly influences the moisture management properties. When compare to eri silk/micro denier polyester/bamboo and tencel combination Excellent moisture management properties were observed in eri silk/micro denier/tencel combination plated interlock knitted fabrics. Moisture management is a very fundamental criterion for any type of fabric. Hence, in this study three different knits viz plated interlock, mini flat back rib and flat back rib fabric structures with 100% eri silk (top), 100% bamboo (bottom) and 100% tencel (bottom) with the combination of two different yarn counts were used. The yield was tested for moisture management properties. It was identified that the bi-layer eri silk (14.3 tex) combined with bamboo (14.8 tex) and tencel (14.8 tex) plated interlock, mini flat back rib and flat back rib knit structure fabrics were excellent. Juvenile localized scleroderma (morphea) is the predominant scleroderma in childhood which affects the skin and may extend to the underlying fascia, muscle, joints and bone. The assessment of activity and damage can be done with a validated instrument like LoSCAT. Disease classified as “low severity” which includes superficial plaque morphea can be treated with topical mid potent-potent steroids, tacrolimus, calcipotriol or imiquimod in combination with phototherapy. Methotrexate is recommended for linear, deep and generalized morphea. Steroids are effective in the early inflammatory stage and used in combination with methotrexate. Methotrexate is continued for at least 12 months after adequate response is achieved. Mycophenolate mofetil is given in cases where methotrexate is contraindicated or for those who do not respond to methotrexate. There are also reports of improvement of disease with ciclosporine and hydroxychloroquine. In severe cases, recalcitrant to standard therapy there may be a role for biologics, JAK inhibitors, and IVIG. Supportive measures like physiotherapy and psychiatric counseling are also important in the management of morphea. Orthopedic surgery and other measures like autologous fat transfer may be advocated once the disease is inactive. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
