Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, terör eylemlerinin Türk turizm endüstrisini ne derece etkilediğini incelemektir. Terörizm; küresel dünya da ülkelerin toprak bütünlüğünü veya vatandaşların can güvenliğini tehdit etmektedir. Az gelişmiş ya da gelişmekte olan ülkeler açısından turizm endüstrisi hızlı kalkınmanın anahtarı olarak görülmektedir. Türkiye'de de turizm endüstrisi ekonomik kalkınma açısından büyük önem teşkil etmektedir. Az gelişmiş ya da gelişmekte olan ülkelerin ekonomik refaha kavuşmalarını istemeyen terör örgütlerinin destekçileri, yaptıkları ekonomik yardımlar ile terör örgütlerinin gelişmesine ve büyümesine destek vermektedirler. Türkiye'de yaşanan terör eylemleri, turizm endüstrisini ciddi anlamda etkilemektedir.Çalışma kapsamında, 2015 ve 2017 yılları arasında Türkiye'de yaşanan terör olayları ve aynı yıllarda Türkiye'ye giriş yapan turist sayıları temel alınarak zaman serisi analizi yapılmıştır. Ayrıca çalışmanın kapsamına, Diyarbakır ve Mardin'de bulunan 15 otel işletmesinin orta ve üst kademe yöneticileri dâhil edilmiştir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış, literatür taraması yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri Mardin ve Diyarbakır'da bulunan üç yıldız ve üzeri otel işletmelerinin orta ve üst kademe yöneticileri ile görüşmeler yapılarak elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz tekniği ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda terör eylemlerinin; Dünya turizmini, Türk turizmini ve Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesi turizmini ekonomik, sosyal ve turizm çeşitliliği gibi yönlerden olumsuz bir şekilde etkilediği anlaşılmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Terörizm, Turizm, Türkiye, Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesi, Mardin, Diyarbakır. The main purpose of this study is to examine what extent the terrorist activities affected the Turkish tourism industry. Terrorism; threatens the territorial integrity of the countries or the safety of citizens globally. For the less developed or developing countries, the tourism industry is seen as the key to rapid development. The tourism industry in Turkey is of great importance in terms of economic development. The supporters of the terrorist organizations who do not want underdeveloped or developing countries to reach economic prosperity, support the development and growth of the terrorist organizations with their economic assistance. Terrorist acts taking place in Turkey, seriously affect the tourism industry.In the study, the terrorist attacks taking place in Turkey between 2015 and 2017 and the number of tourists in the same years arriving in Turkey was conducted on the basis of time-series analysis. In addition,15 middle and upper level managers of hotel business located in Diyarbakır and Mardin are included to the scope of the study. Qualitative research method was used in the research and literature review was done. The data of the study was obtained by interviews with middle and upper level managers of three star and above hotel enterprises in Mardin and Diyarbakır. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively. ‘’Maggot Debridement Therapy" (MDT), known as larval therapy, is one of the traditional and complementary medicine practices with a history of application from ancient times to the present day. It is used in the treatment of chronic wounds that do not heal with conventional treatments. There are many case histories of successful treatment of stubborn wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers with MDT. Since it reduces the need for antibiotics and does not have any known significant side effects, it is an FDA approved treatment method that is now frequently used. In this review study, it is aimed to explain the development steps of MDT from past to present and its application methods and to discuss its medical importance in the light of the literature.

Geleneksel ve tamamlayıcı tıp alanında tıbbi olarak faydalı olduğu bilinen bitkilerin farklı oranlarda karışım olarak kullanılması oldukça yaygın bir kullanım alanı bulmuştur. İlaç üretimindeki maddi ve zamansal kısıtlamalar, tedavi yerine destekleyici bitkisel bileşenlerin kullanımı açısından önemli bir fayda sağlamaktadır. Bununla birlikte, bu bileşenleri oluştururken, bitkilerin kökeninden aktif maddeye ve kullanılabilecek doz aralığına kadar birçok alanda toksik olmayan dozu belirlemek gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada Remember Regeneration Tedavide (RTM) kullanıldığı bilinen DVD-REG® bitkisel takviyelerinin akut ve subakut toksisite analizleri yapılmıştır. Klinik gözlem bulguları ISO 10993-11:2017 standartlarına göre değerlendirilmiş olup kontrol ve uygulama grupları arasında herhangi bir değişikliğe ratlanılmamıştır. Hematolojik ve biyokimyasal kan parametreleri 0., 1., 7. ve 14. günlerinde değerlendirilmiş kontrol ve uygulama grupları arasında herhangi bir değişiklik tespit edilmemiştir. Histolojik açıdan toksisitenin araştırıldığı karaciğer, kalp, böbrek ve dalak dokularında gruplar arasında patolojik bir bulguya rastlanılmamıştır. Bu çalışma ile Türkiye’de kullanımakta olan gıda takviyesi DVD-REG®’in akut ve subakut etkileri araştırılmış olup elde edilen veriler kronik toksisite testleri için fayda sağlayacaktır., The use of herbs that are known to be medically useful in the field of traditional and complementary medicine has been widely used as a mixture in different proportions. Material and temporal restrictions in drug production provide a significant benefit in terms of using supportive herbal ingredients instead of treatment. However, when creating these components, it is necessary to determine the nontoxic dose in many areas, from the origin of plants to the active substance and the dose range that can be used. In this study, acute and subacute toxicity analyzes of DVD-REG® herbal supplements known to be used in Remember Regeneration Therapy Method (RTM) were performed. Clinical observation findings were evaluated according to ISO 10993-11:2017 standards and no changes were made between the control and application groups. Hematological and biochemical blood parameters were evaluated on days 0, 1, 7, and 14, and no changes were found between the control and administration groups. There was no pathological finding among the groups in liver, heart, kidney and spleen tissues where histological toxicity was investigated. In this study, which are now used in Turkey food supplement data obtained from the DVD-REG® was researched it will benefit for chronic effects of acute and subacute toxicity tests.

Objective: In this review study, it is aimed to summarize the information cited about medical and cosmetic applications of the date persimmon (Diospyros kaki) and accordingly the toxicity assessment. Material-Method: In this study, it was summarized the information cited about medical and cosmetic applications of the date persimmon (Diospyros kaki) and accordingly the toxicity assessment. Results: Persimmon (Diospyros kaki), which is cultivated in tropical/subtropic regions such as China, Korea, Japan and Brazil, especially in the Far Eastern countries with more hot climate conditions, has been named as Trabzon Persimmon because it entered Turkey through the Black Sea region. This fruit type has a very important role on the immune system thanks to vitamins and some active ingredients. Although it is mostly consumed as fresh fruit and dried in our country, there are also formulations developed as medical support products (dematological and cosmetic applications etc.) in different countries and reagions. However, toxicity assessment studies on natural plants/herbal products are also very few. Conclusion: Since there is scientific evidence on the phytotherapeutic effects of Diospyros kaki, and the product scale on the market is very narrow, this is highly promising for future healthcare products.

Objective: Honey samples were collected from 82 different pieces during the season when rhododendron flowers bloomed in Duzce areas in 2017. Since the majority of these honeys collected are sold as mad honey by local people, has been determined that it is the most suitable period to make their analysis.Material-Method: To apply our sample preparation method, honey samples were prepared to be analyzed on the LC-MS/MS. The accuracy, repeatability and reliability of the analysis method were provided by us. Results: The obtained results were calculated with the calibration plot drawn at ppb (ng/ml) level in LC-MS/MS. The grayanotoxin -III levels in mad honey were found to be % 36 for 0 ng/ml, %43 for 0.5-10 ng/ml, %15 for 10-50 ng/ml and %6 for 50≥ ng/ml.Conclusion: Most of honey samples do not contain toxins. Some of them are safe to use in middle proportions and less of them dangerous to consume.

Modern people have increased their living standards due to the development of technology. However, health problems have increased with increasing living standards. Efforts to return to nature and natural products such as herbal drugs, medicinal mushrooms and traditional medicine practices have become popular. Medical mushrooms, which have an important place for human beings at every stage of history; in recent years, has succeeded to take its place from traditional medicine applications by separating itself from phytotherapy applications. The aim of our research is to raise awareness about this value, which is present in our country, which has a rich mycota, and to make determinations regarding its usage areas in the world and its importance in the history. Our study could be regarded as a resource for the practices and future studies in our country.

Objective: Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide and is characterized by the proliferation of abnormal cells. In recent years, as in the treatment of many diseases, there is also a return to nature in the treatment of cancer. In developing societies, the concepts such as prophylaxis of disease prevention rise to prominence in order to reduce the material and moral losses caused by disease treatment. Consequently, the use of supplementary food products occupies more and more space in daily life. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the antiproliferative properties of IST-GLIO® food supplement, which is one of these products and used in the Remember Regeneration Therapy Method (RTM), on C6 (rat glioma) cells.Material-Method: WST-1 cell proliferation test protocol was applied to examine the antiproliferative effect of IST-GLIO® and the results were evaluated according to ELISA microplate reading data. The product was tested at concentrations ranging from 1 ng/mL to 100 ng/mL. Results: When the results were evaluated, it was appeared to be effective in the concentration range of 6-20 ng/mL on the C6 glioma cell culture; it was found that the efficacy didn’t occur through general toxicity, specifically reducing the reproduction of the cancer cells in question, since food supplement did not inhibit cell division further at higher doses.Conclusion: As a result, non-specific toxicity is observed in many cultures that are similarly investigated in cell cultures, depending on concentration as high doses are obtained. The IST-GLIO® product does not show this feature is considered as promising.

The use of herbs for therapeutic purposes has been widespread since ancient times. In traditional treatments, plants are applied in a variety of forms, either directly or prepared by isolation and / or enrichment of biologically active ingredients. Momordica charantia L. (bitter melon) is a popular bush that has traditional use as a supplement in the treatment of various diseases with its rich bioactive ingredient content. The plant has common pharmacological potential, including antimicrobial, antimutagenic, antifertility, antidiabetic, antioxidant, antilipolytic, hypoglycemic, anticancer, antimicrobial, antiviral and hepatoprotective activities. This review provides a short overview of the in vitro, in vivo and clinical studies conducted to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of Momordica charantia.

Objective: Hot spring medicine and hot spring tourism has been increasingly popular in the world and our country for the last 50 years. People in our country have been in search of natural and traditional methods to relieve their discomfort and contribute to their health during their holidays as in the rest of the world. Awareness and knowledge levels of physicians on this subject is important to suggest hot springs individually within the scope of other alternative and complementary medicine and develop internal tourism (health tourism) movements. The aim of this study is the determination of the opinions, knowledge and awareness levels of the physicians working on Duzce University Faculty of Medicine.Material-Method: The data were collected by survey technique. In the research, a questionnaire form was distributed to all physicians working in the faculty and 72 physicians agreed to fill out the questionnaire. 69 of them were found suitable for evaluation. The survey includes a total of 22 statements apart from demographic questions. The expressions used are five-point Likert scale (I agree-I don’t agree). The statements are generally aimed at determining the awareness of physicians about hot spring treatments.Results: Approximately one-third of the physicians have never been to a hot spring before; almost all of them declared that they do not recommend hot spring treatment to any of their patients. Almost all of them wish to be educated on this subject and consciously recommend and prescribe their patients. It is understood that the majority of physicians lack information about hot spring medicine, use, and awareness.Conclusion: Almost all physicians have the demand to have information on this subject. There is consensus on increasing scientific research on the subject and ensuring its integration in modern medicine.

Hilyetu’l-Muluk, which was translated in the first half of the 17th century is an example of Ottoman Turkish in terms of writing and language usage which has not yet fully seen a standardization since more than two usages have been identified at the word and annex levels. The introductory part of our study contains detailed information about the manuscript and its writer. Our language analysis exemplifies the language features of the text rather than general language features of the period. The large part of our study consists of transcription and index. In the appendix, some sample prints of the manuscripts we used in our study are added.

Günümüzde görüntü işlemeye tıp, askeri, eğitim, güvenlik gibi birçok alanda ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Segmentasyon işlemi de görüntü işlemenin en önemli adımlarından birini oluşturmaktadır. Literatür araştırmalarında, genellikle segmentasyon işleminin 2D olarak yapıldığı ve 3D segmentasyon çalışmalarının daha az olduğu görülmektedir. 3D segmentasyonda derinlik bilgisi de bulunduğundan, görüntünün daha doğru analiz edilmesi işlemine katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu durum 3D segmentasyon işleminin önemini daha da artırmaktadır. Birçok alanda kullanılan ELM (Extreme Learning Machine – Aşırı Öğrenme Makinesi) tek gizli katmana sahip ileri beslemeli bir yapay sinir ağı modelidir. 3D segmentasyon işlemi için yapılan bu çalışmada ELM kullanılmıştır. Önerilen yöntemde ilk olarak ELM'nin eğitimi yapılmaktadır. Ardından test aşamasında, segmentasyonu istenen 3D görüntü kullanıcıya yardımcı olması için GUI (Graphical Unit Interface) kullanılarak seçtirilmektedir. Seçilen görüntüde daha önce eğitimi yapılan nesneler var ise, tanınan nesnenin 3D olarak segmentasyonu gerçekleştirilmektedir. Buna ek olarak eğitim aşamasında nesnelerin isimleri de öğretildiğinden, tanınan nesnelerin yan taraflarına adları da yazdırılmaktadır. Segmentasyon için seçilen görüntüde eğitimi yapılmamış nesneler var ise nesneyi ayrıştırarak yanına tanınmayan nesne ifadesini yazmaktadır. Önerilen yöntemle yapılan segmentasyon işleminin sonucu YSA ve FCM ile karşılaştırılmış olup elde edilen sonuçlar önerilen yöntemin başarısını açıkça ortaya koymuştur. Today, image processing is needed in many areas such as medicine, military, education and security. Segmentation is also one of the most important steps in image processing. In literature research, it is generally seen that the segmentation process is done in 2D and 3D segmentation studies are less. As 3D segmentation has depth information, it contributes to more accurate analysis of the image. This further increases the importance of 3D segmentation.The ELM (Extreme Learning Machine), which is used in many areas, is a feed-forward neural network model with a single hidden layer. ELM is used in this study for 3D segmentation. In the proposed method, ELM is trained first. Then, during the testing phase, the segmented 3D image is selected using the GUI (Graphical Unit Interface) to assist the user. If there are objects previously trained in the selected image, 3D segmentation of the recognized object is performed. In addition, since the names of objects are also taught during the training phase, the names of the recognized objects are printed on their side. If there are objects that have not been trained in the image selected for segmentation, it parses the object and writes the unrecognized object expression next to it. The result of the segmentation process with the proposed method was compared with ANN and FCM, and the results clearly demonstrated the success of the proposed method. 76

Uzun süreli tedavi gerektirmeyen kemik travmalarında kullanılacak vidave diğer bağlantı elemanlarının biyobozunur özelliğe sahip magnezyumalaşımlardan yapılması, özellikle büyüme çağındaki çocuklarda uygulanan,metalik implantların zamanla neden olduğu olumsuz etkileri ortadankaldırmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı; saf magnezyumun yapay vücut sıvısı (SBF)içerisindeki korozyon mekanizmasını 30 saat süren açık devre potansiyeliölçümleri (OCP) ve bu esnada yapılan in-situ pH ölçümleriyle araştırmakve iki yöntem arasındaki korelasyonu ortaya koymaktır. Elde edilen verilerçalışma elektrotunun yüzeyinde de zamanla oluşan Mg(OH)2 tabakasınınkorozyon hızını etkilediğini göstermektedir.

Aim: The thoracoabdominal aorticaneurysm surgery may cause splanchnic ischemia and may result in severepostoperative complications caused by liver and/or kidney injury. This studyinvestigated the effect of temporary occlusion of the aorta on the developmentof I/R injury of liver and kidney and the protective effect of montelukast, aselective reverse CysLT1 receptor antagosit. Material and Methods: Twenty-one male Sprague-Dawleyrats were randomly assigned to three groups (n=7 per group) as G1 (no aorticocclusion and montelukast administration), G2 (45 min. aortic occlusion; nomontelukast administration) and G3 (45 min. aortic occlusion, 10 mg/kg montelukastadministration). At the 48th hour of reperfusion, kidney and liversamples were dissected for histopathological evaluation and immunohistochemicalstaining for HSP70, interleukin-6 and myeloperoxidase (MPO). Results: Tissuesamples taken from the kidney showed significant intergroup differences interms of tubular cell degeneration, cytoplasmic vacuole formation, hemorrhageand tubular dilatation (P = 0.001, P = 0.017, P = 0.001, P = 0.001respectively). There was a significant difference with regards to HSP-70 stain(P = 0.01) in favor of G1 and G3 with respect to G2. Hepatocyte degeneration inthe liver samples of G3 was significantly lower than that of G1 and G2 (P = 0.027). Conclusion: Thefindings of the current study demonstrated that montelukast has protectiveeffects on both kidney and liver; and were confirmed histopathologically andimmunohistochemically. The protective effects of montelukast can be attributedto its potential of anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory actions., Amaç:Torakoabdominal aort anevrizması cerrahisinin sebep olabildiği splanknikiskemi, karaciğer ve/veya böbrek hasarının neden olduğu ciddi postoperatifkomplikasyonlarla sonuçlanabilir. Bu çalışmada seçici tersinir bir CysLT1reseptör antagonisti olan montelukastın, aortanın geçici oklüzyonuyla yaratılanböbrek ve karaciğer iskemi-reperfüzyon (I/R) hasarı üzerindeki koruyucuetkisini incelemek için tasarlandı. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Yirmi birerkek Sprague-Dawley tipi sıçan, rasgele üç gruba (her grupta n=7) ayrıldı; G1(aort oklüzyonu ve montelukast uygulaması yok), G2 (45 dakika aort oklüzyonu;montelukast uygulması yok) ve G3 (45 dakika aort oklüzyonu, 10 mg/kgmontelukast uygulaması). Reperfüzyonun 48. saatinde böbrek ve karaciğerdenalınan doku örneklerinden histopatolojik değerlendirme ve HSP 70, interlökin-6ve miyeloperoksidaz (MPO) ile immünohistokimyasal boyama yapıldı. Bulgular: Böbrektenalınan doku örnekleri tübüler hücre dejenerasyonu, sitoplazmik vakuol formasyonu,hemoraji ve tübüler dilatasyon açısındna incelendi ve gruplar arasındaistatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulundu (P = 0.001, P = 0.017, P = 0.001). G1ve G3 gruplarında HSP-70 ile boyanmada G2 ye göre anlamlı fark saptandı (P = 0.001).G3 karaciğer örneklerinde hepatosit dejenerasyonu G1 ve G2 den anlamlı olarakdüşüktü (P = 0.027). Sonuçlar:Yapılan çalışmanın bulguları, montelukastın böbrek ve karaciğer üzerindekoruyucu etkileri olduğunu histopatolojik ve immünohistokimyasal olarakgöstermiştir. Montelukastın koruyucu etkileri, ilacın antioksidan veantiinflamatuar etkilerine bağlanabilir.

Deaths from mushroom poisoning, due to the ingestionofmushrooms containing amatoxins, seem to be increasingboth in Turkey andworldwide. The amatoxinsfound in Amanita phalloides (also called thedeath capmushroom) are most toxic agents, and they are responsible for more than 95% ofthe cases of deadlymushroom poisoning. Alpha amanitin is best known toxin ofthis group. Alpha amanitin analysis can be carried out with special methodssuch as chromatography and ELISA. ELISA method is suitable in order to analyseurine and blood containingfor alpha amanitin. Gas chromatography system is notsuitable to analyse for alpha amanitin. HPLC and LC-MS/MS systems are bestanalytic methods for all materials containing alpha amanitin.Some analytical machines, supplies and experienced personalare required to perform these analytical methods. There is a need for moresimple analytical method. The lateral flow immunoassay method may be an easysolution for this purpose. The lateral flow immunoassays are commonly usedworldwide for different purposes such as pregnancy test and drug screeningtest. This test works based on antigen-antibody complexes that is coupled withvisible molecules. These tests are theoretically possible for every analytewhose antibody is producible, and by changing the antibody concentrations, thesensitivity of these tests can be adjusted to the desired thresholds.Analysis of the amanitins and application of alpha amanitinto lateral flow immunoassay will be declarate in this speech.
