In the present investigation, we have reported solar photo active, cost effective and magnetically recoverable magnesium substituted copper ferrites successfully prepared by simple co-precipitation method. The prepared materials were characterized for structural and microstructural analysis using PXRD, SEM, EDS, FT-IR and UV–Visible spectroscopy. It was observed that, when copper introduces into magnesium ferrite system light absorption shifted to visible region, this is due to formation of metastable energy levels just below the conduction band of magnesium ferrites. As a result an MgCuFe2O4 catalyst exhibits excellent efficiency under solar light irradiation. These catalysts are stable for longer period even after many runs and magnetically separable. Based on the analysis result these nanomaterials can be used as potential environmental and energy applications under natural sunlight irradiation.

A novel magnetically recoverable functionalized magnetic(Fe3O4) nanoparticle supported-nickel(II) complex with a high surface area has been synthesized by chemical conjugation of magnetite nanoparticles with highly reactive silanols on the surface of magnetic Fe3O4 to improve the affinity of Fe3O4 nanoparticles for the target species. Functionalized Ni(II) complex containing surface of pyridine, methoxysilanyl and amino groups. Studies revealed that Fe3O4@[Ni(bpy)2(py-tmos)] is a new and highly efficient green catalyst for the synthesis of a diverse range of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones under solvent free conditions, and in addition Fe3O4@[Ni(bpy)2(py-tmos)] could be easily recovered by a simple magnetic separation and recycled at least 5 times without deterioration in catalytic activity. In this work, we fabricated the Fmoc-Pro-Phe-OMe modified carbon paste electrode (FPPO/MCPE) and used it for electrochemical detection of CP and FZ in a 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution (pH = 7). We characterized the Fmoc-Pro-Phe-OMe and applied it for the electrochemical detection of CP and FZ. The Mass spectroscopy, 1HNMR, and FTIR measurements confirm the Fmoc-Pro-Phe-OMe chemical structure. Studying electrochemical sensor characteristics, variation of scan rate parameters, and electrode surface area is crucial for understanding and optimizing the performance of modified and unmodified carbon paste electrodes. The FPPO/MCPE-modified carbon paste electrode has better sensing capabilities than the unmodified bare carbon paste electrode (BCPE). The FPPO/MCPE sensor has two linear ranges: 50–450 μM (CP) with a detection limit of 0.014 μM and 50–450 μM (FZ) with a detection limit of 0.015 μM. The FPPO/MCPE sensor is highly sensitive, measuring 4.25 µA/µM/cm2 for CP and 4.1 µA/µM/cm2 for FZ. Scan rate and concentration tests demonstrate that the oxidation of CP and FZ is a diffusion-controlled electrode process. The FPPO/MCPE sensor also demonstrates excellent repeatability, reproducibility, stability, and selectivity for detection of CP and FZ. The use of FPPO/MCPE-sensor is demonstrated for the detection of FZ and CP in milk and honey samples. A simple method successfully prepared the Fmoc-Pro-Phe-OMe organic compound. The Fmoc-Pro-Phe-OMe@CPE sensor demonstrates great sensitivity and low detection limits for detection of chloramphenicol and furazolidone. The Fmoc-Pro-Phe-OMe@CPE sensor exhibited good stability, selectivity, repeatability, and reproducibility for detection of FZ and CP in food samples. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
