The article discusses the features of academic writing in English based on the recommendations from the British Council in Ukraine in the framework of the “Researcher Connect” project, aiming to facilitate the transition to academic standards of English and improve the academic discourse produced by non-native language users. The authors outline major tendencies in the modern English language as pertains to written discourse and provide recommendations for rendering academic writing persuasive. It is a well-established fact that academic writing in English possesses unique features, which must be respected and taken into account. Hence, a transfer of academic norms from a person's mother tongue to English can be a challenge, which may impair the quality of academic writing. Presenting the research results without consideration of academic norms, grammar, and lexical features of English academic writing can lead to mistakes and misunderstanding, and result in a written work of poor quality, even if the research findings are valid. The mechanisms of improving the academic writing skills during the study of English for Academic Communication with due account for relevant grammar and lexical peculiarities have been explored. Therefore, the major challenge for researchers is the difficulty in transition to academic standards of a foreign language. The article discusses the surface and the deeper purposes in any academic writing; the significance of understanding one’s audience; the concepts of persuasion, clarity, and conciseness, as well as grammar and lexical means for achieving them. Developing the communication skills of Ukrainian scientists is crucial for successful international communication and cooperation. The study of potential difficulties, which the Ukrainian medical professionals may face in the process of academic writing in English, is important for developing the guidelines to eliminate possible mistakes and avoid misunderstanding in a medical setting. Further study of the peculiarities of academic writing in English will contribute to the optimization of international professional communication, the expansion of inter-institutional dialogue, and the integration of Ukraine into the world community.

The aim of the article. The aim of this study is to examine the main and interactive effects of four service contact personnel attributes (physical attractiveness, displayed emotion, helpfulness or appropriateness of dress of service contact personnel). In this research, we conduct to test the effects of service contact personnel attributes on customer satisfaction and purchase intention in sport store services. The results of the analysis. In this research we used two methods for examination of effect of service contact personnel attributes on customer satisfaction and purchase intention. In study 1, using experimental method the data of 960 students in Tehran universities, Iran was collected by scenario-based questionnaire. The result shows the service contact personnel physical attractiveness, displayed positive emotion, and helpfulness all positively influenced customer satisfaction and purchase intention. But appropriateness of dress did not positively influence on customer satisfaction. In study 2, using the survey method the data of 264 customer of sport store in Tehran, Iran was collected by questionnaire. The results show service contact personnel displayed positive emotion, appropriateness of dress and helpfulness all positively influenced customer satisfaction. But physical attractiveness did not positively influence on customer satisfaction. Displayed positive emotion, appropriateness of dress and helpfulness all positively influenced on purchase intention except Service contact personnel physical attractiveness. The results show interactions among the four service contact personnel attributes. The displayed positive emotion is important than appropriate of dress and helpfulness is the most important of attributes of service contact personnel. Conclusions and directions of further researches. The novelty point of this study is to illuminate the impact and interaction of Service contact personnel Attributes on Customer Satisfaction and Purchase Intention for the first time based on the background of Iranian culture. Totally, for enhancing customer satisfaction and purchase intention to ensure the success of retention strategies is highly dependent on the effectiveness of frontline employees specially helpfulness is the most important of these attributes.

In this paper it was designed a new fractal optical modulation by using a new iteration of fractal function, the result was analyzed by MTF evaluation, and it compared with results of normal optical modulation. The normal and fractal optical modulator is a circular disc which has a radius R=9cm, both of them consist of twenty sectors, ten sectors are opaque and the other ten sectors are transmitted for the light. We demonstrate GaN-based high-power single transverse-mode laser diodes (LDs) emitting at 405 nm. LD structures are designed to exhibit a high level of catastrophic optical damage and small beam divergence angle. By the control of refractive index profiles, we achieved a vertical beam divergence angle of as low as 17.5° and maximum output power of as high as 470 mW under continuous-wave operation condition.
