Dementia is one of the most challenging health problems faced globally with the increase in the ageing population. The estimated current prevalence of dementia is 47.5 million worldwide. This number will nearly double in every 20 years globally. Dementia is basically, a syndrome which cannot be cured by medicine, but non-pharmacological therapy can be used to treat Dementia patients, this is known as Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy. According to the recommendations of the doctors, the use of a brain training application could be better than traditional approaches. There are number of Brain training mobile applications in the world that could be useful in improving human concentration, attention and all sorts of brain activities but there isn’t any customized software solution that has games or activities. Patients can be in different stages of Dementia. Therefore, for a better cognitive rehabilitation they need personalized therapies with the games and activities. Accordingly, developing this application is an actual global requirement for dementia patients. The world is evolving with new technologies and this application includes the mind games based on such technologies as Reinforcement Learning which predict the next level for patients based on user behavior. And there are some activities on speech recognition using Deep Neural Network as well. Patients, caregivers and doctors can view the progress reports of the patients. All the games have designed along with the supervision and recommendation from a Consultant Psychiatrist in Sri Lanka. The main objective is to help the Dementia patients in cognitive rehabilitation to improve the quality of life with best suited personalized games and activities.

This paper reviews the torque ripple reduction techniques of Brushless DC motor (BLDC). Torque ripple arises in BLDC motor due to the attraction of rotor's permanent magnets and stator's ferro magnet teeth. The magnetic attraction varies depending on the strength of the magnetic field and this dissimilarity leads to the production of irregular torque called torque ripples. This torque ripple may cause poor quality of speed-torque characteristics, noise, vibrations and produce stern faults in sensor less motor drives. This paper analyses various techniques for the reduction of torque ripples. The analysis shows that the torque ripple in the BLDC motor can be minimized during commutation time by increasing the input voltage four times greater than the back emf. Also, this paper reviews different methodologies to boost the input voltages during the commutation period.

Biogas is a biofuel whose application requires observance of factors such as composition (CH4, CO2, NH3, H2S), purification needs, calorific value, Wobbe number and gas pressure, among others. The present work analyzed the biogas from a biodigester built under the first project of the Association Technology without Borders (TwB) Brazil in a rural property located in Ararangua, SC, Brazil. The project aimed to apply biogas in the biodigester as a partial substitution of the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) used in the cheese factory. The biogas, besides containing low concentrations of H2S (40 ppmV), presented a NH3 concentration of 175 ppmV, estimated Lower Heating Value of 25.42 MJ m−3 and Wobbe index of 29.16 MJ m−3 (both at 25 °C and 1 atm). The preliminary combustion test indicated good quality of the produced biofuel. Therefore, the biogas produced in the system and under the evaluated conditions showed potential for partial replacement of LPG in the considered application.
