Excess molar volumnesVijkEand excess molar enthalpiesHijkEof {nitrobenzene (i) + benzene (j) + toluene, or +o-xylene, or +p-xylene (k)} ternary mixtures have been measured as a function of composition dilatometrically and calorimetrically at the temperature 308.15 K. The data obtained have been analysed in terms of the Flory theory. It has been observed that theHijkEvalues predicted by this theory compare reasonably well with the corresponding experimental values. TheVijkEvalues are of the same order and sign, however, the agreement with the predictions is not satisfactory for these ternary mixtures.
