Bu çalışmada farklı karbonhidratların E. kuehniella larvalarının besin tüketimine, gelişimine ve gelişim süresine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Farklı karbonhidratlar içeren 13 farklı besin tipi hazırlanmıştır. Karbonhidrat içermeyen besin ve %3 konsantrasyonunda glikoz, galaktoz, maltoz, nişasta, arabinoz, mannoz, sükroz ve fruktozlu besinler, %10 ve %30 nişasta içerikli besin, %1 glukoz - %2 fruktoz (G1-F2) konsatrasyonlarında hazırlanan besin ile %2 glukoz - %1 fruktoz (G2-F1) içerikli besinler hazırlanarak beslenme deneyleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sonuçlara göre, en fazla besin tüketiminin G2-F1 ve bunu takiben %3'lük arabinoz içeren besinde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. En az besin tüketimi ise %3'lük mannoz ve bunu takiben ise %3'lük glikoz ihtiva eden besinde belirlenmiştir. Tüketim miktarlarına göre fruktoz ve sükroz arasında önemli bir farklılık görülmemiştir. E. kuehniella için galaktoz ve arabinoz beslenme uyarıcısı olabileceği gibi glikoz ve mannozun beslenme caydırıcısı olabileceği kanısına varılmıştır. G2-F1 ile beslenen larvaların tüketim miktarı, pupa ağırlıkları, lipit miktarları ve protein miktarları en fazla olduğu gibi gelişim sürelerinin de daha hızlı olduğu belirlenmiştir. %3 arabinoz ve G2-F1 ile beslenen larvaların gelişme süreleri bakımından da benzerlik gösterdikleri görülmüştür (G2-F1: 11,2 gün, %3 Arabinoz: 11,25 gün)Anahtar Kelimeler: Ephestia kuehniella, Karbonhidrat, Fagostimulant, Beslenme caydırıcısı, Besin tercihi In this study, the effect of different carbohydrates on the food consumption, development and development duration of E. kuehniella larvae were investigated. 13 different artificial food were prepared and the foods involve different carbohiydrate. The recepy foods in the feeding experiment were prepared by adding to 3 % glucose; 3 % galactose; 3 % maltose; 3 % starch; 3 % arabinose; 3 % mannose; 3 % sucrose; 3 % fructose; 10 % starch; 30 % starch; 1 %glucose: 2 % fructose (G1-F2); 2 % glucose: 1 % fructose (G2- F1)According to results, most consumption ratio were determined at G2: F1 foods and 3 % arabinose, respectively. Minimum food consumption were determined at 3 % mannose and 3 % glucose. According to consumption rate, it was determined no differences between fructose and sucrose. Galactose and arabinose may be fagostimulant and glucose and mannose may feeding repellent for E. kuehniella larvae. Consumption rate, pupa weight, pupa lipid content and pupa protein content of feeding larvae at G2-F1 food were determined at most value and duration of development were shortest at that food.
