Aim: The aim of this study is to examine the color changes of alkasite used as dental fillings polished with different systems that occur on the 24th hour and seventh day after exposure to a discoloration agent.Materials and Methods: Alkasite material which was placed in Teflon molds with a diameter of 8 mm and a height of 2 mm, was polymerized under the application of mylar strip, and a total of 30 samples were obtained (n=10). Materials were randomly divided into 3 groups. Group 1 was polished with diamond grain polishing rubbers (Twist Dia; Kuraray, Japan) and group 2 was polished with Aluminum oxide discs (Sof-Lex; 3M ESPE, MN, USA). Polishing system was not applied in group 3. The first color measurement was performed using a spectrophotometer. The second and third color measurements were completed with the same device at 24th hours and 7th days after immersion in coffee. Color changes (ΔE00) were determined using the CIEDE2000 color formula. The results were analyzed at 95% confidence interval using one-way ANOVA and Tukey test.Results: A statistically significant increase was observed for all groups when ΔE00 values were measured between 24 hours and 7 days. While the lowest mean color change values were observed in group 2 after 24 hours (p < 0.001), there was no statistically significant difference between the polishing systems used on the 7th day (p > 0.05). The control group showed the highest color change values (p < 0.001). Conclusion: The color stability of the alkasite was affected by the polishing procedure and the immersion time in the colorant agent., Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, farklı sistemlerle polisajlanmış diş dolgularında kullanılan alkasitin bir renklendirici ajana maruz kalmasının ardından 24. saat ve yedinci gününde oluşan renk değişimlerinin incelenmesidir.Yöntem: 8 mm çapında ve 2 mm yüksekliğinde teflon kalıplar içerisine yerleştirilen alkasit materyali mylar strip uygulaması altında polimerize edildi ve toplam 30 adet örnek elde edildi (n=10). Materyaller rastgele 3 gruba ayrıldı; Grup 1: Elmas grenli polisaj lastikleri (Twist Dia; Kuraray, Japan), Grup 2: Alüminyum oksit diskleri (Sof-Lex; 3M ESPE, MN, USA) uygulanarak polisaj işlemi tamamlandı. Objectives: An esthetic restoration with an unacceptable color is the main cause for replacement of anterior tooth restorations. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of repolishing on the color change of the new material group of alkasite after exposure to coffee solution.Materials and Methods: Alkasite material placed in Teflon molds with a diameter of 8 mm and a height of 2 mm was polymerized under the application of mylar strip and a total of 32 samples were obtained. The samples were randomly immersion into groups. Group R: Diamond grained polishing rubbers, Group D: Aluminum oxide discs are applied and the polishing process is completed. After the first color measurement was made, it was immersed in coffee and the measurement was repeated 1 week later. L was divided into two groups (n=8) and repolished with rubber (RR) and discs (RD). In the D group, re-polishing was done with rubber (DR) and disc (DD) and color measurements were repeated. Results were analyzed by using one-way ANOVA and Tukey test at 95% confidence interval.Results: The greatest color change (ΔE00) was in group R. At the end of seven days, similar color change values were found between the groups of R and D (p > 0.05). There is no difference between the RR and RD groups. Significantly less color change was observed in the DD group than in the RR and RD groups (p = .003, p = .042, respectively). Similarly, the DR group showed less color change than the RR group (p = .015).Conclusions: The color stability of the alkasite was affected by the polishing procedure. The repolishing process reduced the color change, but not at a clinically acceptable level., AMAÇ: Bu çalışmanın amacı yeni bir materyal grubu olan alkasitin kahve solüsyonuna maruz kalmasından sonra tekrar cilalama yapılmasının oluşan renk değişimine etkisini değerlendirmektir.YÖNTEM: 8 mm çapında ve 2 mm yüksekliğinde teflon kalıplar içerisine yerleştirilen alkasit materyali mylar strip uygulaması altında polimerize edildi ve toplam 32 adet örnek elde edildi. D grubunada lastik (DL) ve disk (DD) ile yeniden polisaj yapıldı ve renk ölçümleri tekrarlandı. Bulgular tek yönlü ANOVA ve Tukey testi kullanılarak %95 güven aralığında analiz edildi.BULGULAR: En fazla renk değişimi (ΔE00) L’de olmuştur. 1 haftanın sonunda L ve D grupları arasında benzer renk değişiklik değerleri bulunmuştur (p> .05). LL ve LD grupları arasında fark yoktur. DD grubunda LL ve LD gruplarına göre önemli derecede daha az renk değişimi gözlendi (p = .003, p = .042, sırasıyla) Benzer şekilde, DL grubu LL grubuna göre daha az renk değişimi göstermiştir (p = .015).SONUÇ: Alkasitin renk stabilitesi polisaj prosedüründen etkilenmiştir. Tekrar cilalama işlemi renk değişimini azaltsa da klinik olarak kabul edilebilir seviyelere getirememiştir.

Aim: The aim of this study is to compare PDT and ozone with traditional disinfection methods in terms of root canal dentin microhardness.Materials and Methods: One hundred distal roots of extracted mandibular third molars were included in this study. Root Canals were shaped with Reciproc (VDW, Munich, Germany) and VDW gold endodontic motor and were irrigated with 10ml distilled water.The samples were divided into 5 groups according to the final root canal disinfection method (n=20). Group 1 was disinfected with 2.5% sodium hypochlorite + 17% EDTA (NaE), group 2 with 2% chlorhexidine (CHX), group 3 with 170 ppm ozone gas (OZ), group 4 with photodynamic therapy (FDT). Group 5 was assigned as the control group (DS), and only distilled water was irrigated. Root canal dentin microhardness was evaluated using the Vickers test method. Data were evaluated with one-way analysis of variance at 95% confidence interval.Results: The OZ group was the group with the highest microhardness value of 53.83 and the differences were significant when compared with NaE (48.45), CHX (48.58) and DS (49.07) groups. There was a significant difference in the FDT group with 53.74 microhardness values when compared with the NaE and CHX groups.Conclusion: Within the limitations of this in vitro study, ozone or photodynamic therapy as a disinfection method may contribute to the hardness of the root canal dentin structure., ÖZAmaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, fotodinamik terapi ve ozon gazının kök kanal dentin sertliğine etkisinin konvansiyonel yöntemlerle karşılaştırılarak incelenmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çekilmiş yüz mandibular üçüncü molar dişin distal kökleri bu çalışmaya dahil edildi. Kök kanalları Reciproc (VDW, Münih, Almanya) ve VDW altın endodontik motor ile şekillendirildi ve 10 ml distile su ile irrige edildi. Son kök kanal dezenfeksiyon yöntemine göre örnekler 5 gruba ayrıldı (n=20). Grup 1 %2,5 sodyum hipoklorit + %17 EDTA (NaE) ile; grup 2 %2 klorheksidin (CHX) ile; grup 3 170 ppm ozon gazı ile (OZ); grup 4 fotodinamik tedavi (FDT) ile dezenfeksiyon işlemi tamamlandı. Grup 5 kontrol grubu olarak atanarak (DS) sadece distile su irrige edildi. Kök kanal dentin mikrosertliği Vickers test yöntemi ile değerlendirildi. Veriler, %95 güven aralığında tek yönlü varyans analizi ile değerlendirildi.Bulgular: OZ grubu 53.83 ile en yüksek mikrosertlik değerine sahip olan grup olup NaE (48.45), CHX (48.58) ve DS (49.07) grupları ile karşılaştırıldığında anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. 53.74 mikrosertlik değeri sahip olan FDT grubu NaE ve CHX grupları ile karşılaştırıldığında anlamlı fark bulunmuştur.Sonuç: Bu in vitro çalışmanın sınırlamaları dahilinde, dezenfeksiyon yöntemi olarak ozon veya fotodinamik tedavi, kök kanal dentin yapısının sertliğine katkıda bulunabilir.

Bu in-vitro çalışmanın amacı; kayma yolu oluşturarak ve oluşturmadan resiprokal hareket yapan (Reciproc; VDW, Münih, Almanya), tam rotasyon yapan (ProTaper Next; Dentsply, Maillefer, Ballaigues, İsviçre), (OneShape; Micro-Mega, Besancon Cedex, Fransa) 3 farklı döner Ni-Ti sistemini (1) kök kanal transportasyonu ve (2) merkezde kalma oranı açısından karşılaştırmak, (3) şekillendirme süresi ve (4) apikalden taşan debris miktarı açısından değerlendirmektir.120 adet kök kanal kurvatürü yüksek eğime sahip alt çene birinci büyük azı dişin meziyal kök kanalları 6 gruba ayrılmıştır. Şekillendirme öncesi ve sonrası tüm örneklerin CBCT taraması yapılmıştır. Kök kanalları Reciproc, ProTaper Next, OneShape, Proglider+Reciproc, OneG+OneShape ve ProGlider+ProTaper Next ile şekillendirilmiştir. CBCT görüntüleri üzerinde üç boyutlu modelleme yapılarak transportasyon ve merkezde kalma oranı değerlendirilmiştir. Taşan debrisin ağırlığı 10-5 hassas terazi ile ölçülmüştür. Toplam şekillendirme süresini içeren çalışma zamanı kaydedilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin gruplar arası karşılaştırmasında tek yönlü varyans analizi ve çoklu karşılaştırmalar için Tukey testi kullanılmıştır. İstatistiksel analizde p0,05).
