The objective of this research was to explore the link between Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection and alterations in ischemia modified albumin (IMA), thiol, and disulfide levels, with a focus on their potential clinical implications.

Background: Vitamin D binding protein plays a crucial role in regulating vitamin D levels by carrying vitamin D and its metabolites and immunological response by binding to endotoxins and fatty acids. We aimed to compare vitamin D, DBP, and specific inflammatory markers among intensive care unit (ICU) patients with and without the COVID19 virus. Methods: This multicenter study in two training and research hospitals included 37 (13 female) COVID-19positive and 51 (34 female) COVID-19-negative ICU patients. 25(OH) vitamin D, DBP, C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin (PCT), D-dimer, troponin T (TnT), interleukin 6 (IL-6) and ferritin levels, survival, mortality rates, duration of stay (ICU) were examined. Results: We observed higher ferritin and CRP levels, along with lower DBP, TnT, and D-dimer levels, in patients with COVID-19. ICU patients with COVID-19 exhibited elevated mortality rates (Odds Ratio: 3.012, 95% Confidence Interval (1.252-7.248), p=0.013). However, no statistically significant correlation was observed between mortality rates and Vitamin D or DBP levels across the ICU patient cohort. Conclusions: Vitamin D values were found to be low in all intensive care patients, regardless of their COVID-19 status. Contrary to the literature, COVID-19 patients had lower D-dimer and TNT levels than negative controls. However, COVID-19-positive ICU patients have decreased DBP. Further, DBP gene polymorphism studies are needed to explain this situation.

Also, the results of Migraine Disability Assessment Scale (MIDAS) were recorded in order to determine the clinical parameters of migraine patients.Results: When the migraine patients were examined in terms of the number of painful days in the last 3 months, duration of illness, and correlations between clinical scales, there were statistically significant correlations between the psychological resilience scale and well-being (r=0.691 p< 0.001), positive coping styles (r=0.676 p< 0.001), Beck depression scale (r=− 0.670 p< 0.001).Conclusion: Self-confident approach, social support-seeking approach, and level of psychological well-being predict psychological resilience in migraine patients. Interventions aiming to increase the level of psychological resilience, which is negatively correlated with depression, are expected to increase the quality of life of patients with migraine.Keywords: migraine, psychological resilience, coping skills, depression

This study investigates the relationship between digital literacy and mobile learning readiness among 250 prospective teachers at a state university in Ankara, Türkiye. Data were collected using the “Readiness Scale towards Mobile Learning,” developed by Lin, Lin, Yeh, and Wang (2016) and adapted to Turkish by Gökçearslan, Solmaz, and Kulkul (2017), alongside the “Digital Literacy Scale” by Ng (2012), adapted by Hamutoğlu, Güngören, Kaya Uyanık, and Erdoğan (2017). Results indicated that prospective teachers possessed high digital literacy levels. Their attitudes and technical skills significantly predicted their readiness towards mobile learning. A Pearson Correlation analysis revealed a strong, significant linear relationship between digital literacy and mobile learning readiness (r=.815, p=.000). This suggests that higher digital literacy is closely associated with greater readiness towards mobile learning among prospective teachers.

Distribution is one of the major sources of carbon emissions and this issue has been addressed by Green Vehicle Routing Problem (GVRP). This problem aims to fulfill the demand of a set of customers using a homogeneous fleet of Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFV) originating from a single depot. The problem also includes a set of Alternative Fuel Stations (AFS) that can serve the AFVs. Since AFVs started to operate very recently, Alternative Fuel Stations servicing them are very few. Therefore, the driving span of the AFVs is very limited. This makes the routing decisions of AFVs more difficult. In this study, we formulated a multi-objective optimization model of Green Vehicle Routing Problem with two conflicting objective functions. While the first objective of our GVRP formulation aims to minimize total CO2 emission, which is proportional to the distance, the second aims to minimize the maximum traveling time of all routes. To solve this multi-objective problem, we used ɛ-constraint method, a multi-objective optimization technique, and found the Pareto optimal solutions. The problem is formulated as a Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP) model in IBM OPL CPLEX. To test our proposed method, we generated two hypothetical but realistic distribution cases in Izmir, Turkey. The first case study focuses on an inner-city distribution in Izmir, and the second case study involves a regional distribution in the Aegean Region of Turkey. We presented the Pareto optimal solutions and showed that there is a tradeoff between the maximum distribution time and carbon emissions. The results showed that routes become shorter, the number of generated routes (and therefore, vehicles) increases and vehicles visit a lower number of fuel stations as the maximum traveling time decreases. We also showed that as maximum traveling time decreases, the solution time significantly decreases.

Nanocrystalline polymeric complex (Ni0.5Zn0.4Cu0.1) ferrite substituted cobalt (Co) ferrite system has been synthesized by chemical co precipitation method. The dielectric properties of polymeric spinel ferrite system (Ni0.5Zn0.4Cu0.1Fe2O4)x (CoFe2O4)1–x have been investigated. Some of the dielectric parameters such as dielectric permittivity ε′ and loss tangent (tan δ) were studied as a function of frequency in the range 1 Hz–1 MHz and of temperature in the range 230–410 K. Excessive dependency of dielectric properties on frequency and temperature with the presence of two relaxation mechanisms, which are called as major and minor, have been observed. From Argand diagram analysis α and Δε values for these two kinds of relaxation curves have been determined for all the samples in the measured temperatures. The reported dielectric properties are thought to be meaningful for future applications.
