Index of Industrial Production (IIP) data is one of the important economic indicators that track the manufacturing activity of different sectors of an economy. In this paper, an attempt is made to forecast the IIP data using traditional and deep learning statistical approaches. The data from Apr-2012 to Feb-2020 is used for forecasting. The appropriate best model is evaluated by comparing mean absolute error (MAE), root mean square error (RMSE), and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE). The results of the study show that RNN is performing better than the other models i.e ARIMA (Traditional method), FFNN, and LSTM (ANN models). Therefore RNN model is used for forecasting. The forecasted values from Mar-2020 to Jun-2021 are compared with the actual IIP values and resulted in a clear decline in industrial production because of lockdown.

The main aim of the present study is to compare the keywords extracted from abstracts and full length text of scientific research papers. In addition to that, here, we compare Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA) and Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) to identify better performer for keyword extraction. This comparative study is divided into three levels, In the first level, scientific research articles on topics such as Indian Economic growth, GDP, Economic Slowdown etc. were collected and abstracts and full length text was extracted from the sources and pre-processed to remove the words and characters which were not useful to obtain the semantic structures or necessary patterns to make the meaningful corpus. In the second level, the pre-processed data were converted into a bag of words and numerical statistic TF-IDF (Term Frequency – Inverse Document Frequency) is used to assess how relevant a word is to a document in a corpus. In the third level, in order to study the feasibility of the Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, Latent Semantic analysis (LSA) and Latent Dirichlet Allocations (LDA) methods were applied over the resultant corpus.

Leukocytoclastic vasculitis (LCV) refers to the histopathological changes observed in a common form of small vessel vasculitis that can affect skin and/or internal organs. LCV can be precipitated by several causes (including infections, drugs, and collagen vascular diseases) or can be idiopathic. We report a 50-year-old man who presented with fever, parotid enlargement and skin rash (discrete and confluent erythematous macules, papules, and plaques and a few purpuric lesions on the back of trunk and upper limbs), 3 weeks after being diagnosed with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The patient showed four out of the five features required to satisfy the working case definition of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in adults (MIS-A). Histopathology of rash was consistent with LCV. Whether, COVID-19 was the cause for LCV in our patient remains unclear. The fever, parotid enlargement and rash showed complete resolution following treatment with systemic corticosteroids and enoxaparin.

In present work Colon targeting drug delivery system was developed for Busulfan an anticancer drug by using combination of delayed systems one is pH dependant and other is time dependant delayed system. Rapid release core tablet (RRCT) formulations were prepared using Busulfan drug with different disintegrating agents in different concentrations. The pre-compression and post-compression parameters of all formulations were determined and the values were found to be satisfactory. From the In-vitro dissolution studies, F6 formulation with 12% Hydroxy propyl cellulose (HPC) was the best formulation. For optimized RRCT formulation press coat was done by using Xanthum Gum and Ethyl Cellulose (EC) in different ratios. Press coated tablet delays the drug release up to 8 hours based on the nature and concentrations of the polymer. Each press coated tablet was coated using enteric solution made of HPMC phthalate, Myvacet and color dissolved in ethanol. Enteric press coated tablets (EPCT) were delayed drug release up to 2hrs in fed condition due to pH dependant delayed system. Based on dissolution studies of EPCT formulations, C3OPF formulation was optimized and showed delayed release pattern in a much customized manner. As a result of this study it may be concluded that the colon targeted drug delivery tablets using a combination of two polymers in optimized concentrations can be used to increase the delayed action of drug release to deliver the drug in a delayed manner. BACKGROUND Cutaneous small vessel vasculitis is a condition with various aetiologies, morphological patterns of presentation and histopathologic types. It can be primary or secondary. Cutaneous lesions being a pointer to the systemic involvement in vasculitis, it requires histology for confirmation of the diagnosis and for long-term follow up. Skin biopsy is the gold standard in diagnosis and helps in guiding further investigations and treatment. The studies regarding the various patterns and histopathological types of cutaneous small vessel vasculitis in Kerala are not well documented so far. MATERIALS AND METHODS This is a cross-sectional descriptive study done in patients with a histopathological diagnosis of cutaneous small vessel vasculitis admitted in Dermatology Ward of Government Medical College, Kozhikode, during January 2013 to January 2014. The aim of this study was to delineate the patterns, causes and to assess the clinicopathological correlation of cutaneous small vessel vasculitis. A detailed history, clinical examination of patients and 4 mm skin punch biopsy were done in all selected patients. RESULTS 66 patients diagnosed with histopathological features of cutaneous vasculitis were included in the study. Palpable purpura was the most common clinical lesion and leukocytoclastic vasculitis represented the most common histopathologic type of cutaneous small vessel vasculitis in the present study. Systemic involvement was observed in half of the patients. An aetiological association could be found in 62.2% of cases out of which drug sensitivity was the commonest cause. Out of the 66 patients, after clinicopathological correlation, 16 cases of Henoch-Schonlein purpura, 5 cases of urticarial vasculitis, 3 cases of connective tissue disease associated vasculitis (2-systemic lupus erythematosus and 1-mixed connective tissue disorder), 2 cases of ChurgStrauss vasculitis, 2 cases of nodular vasculitis, 2 cases of Behcet’s disease and 3 cases of vasculitic ulcer were identified. Rest of the 33 patients were offered a diagnosis of idiopathic cutaneous small vessel vasculitis. CONCLUSION Definitive diagnosis can be reached with skin biopsy aided with clinical features and relevant investigations including immunofluorescence. Thus, skin biopsy and clinicopathological correlation are important in the diagnosis and treatment of cutaneous small vessel vasculitis.
