This study aimed to evaluate the effect of fruit maturation stages and pre-germination treatments with plant regulators on the physiological quality of seeds of cv. BRS Mel do Cerrado. Two experiments were carried out, germination and emergence, installed in a completely randomized design in a 3 x 2 factorial arrangement, with three stages maturation (1-partially ripe fruits; 2-fully ripe fruits and 3-senescent fruits) and two pre-germination treatments (1. [GA4+7 +N-(phenylmethyl)-aminopurine (300 ppm)] and 2. distilled water), forming six treatments with four replications of 50 seeds. The evaluated characteristics were germination percentage at 14 and 35 days, germination speed index (GSI), emergence percentage and emergence speed index (ESI). Germination at 14 days, GSI and seedling emergence were not affected by the maturation stage, however germination and GSI were higher when the plant regulator was used. The final percentage of germination was higher in seeds taken from partially ripe fruits and treated with regulators and a higher ESI was observed for seeds from senescent fruits and treated with regulator. Seeds treated with plant regulators are more vigorous and have a higher rate of seedling emergence. Resumo Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito de estádios de maturação de frutos e de tratamentos pré-germinativos com reguladores vegetais na qualidade fisiológica das sementes de maracujá doce cv. BRS Mel do Cerrado. Foram realizados dois experimentos, de germinação e de emergência, instalados em delievalneamento inteiramente casualizado, em arranjo fatorial 3 x 2, sendo três estádios dematuração (1-frutos parcialmente maduros; 2-frutos totalmente maduros, e 3-frutossenescentes) e dois tratamentos pré-germinativos (1. [GA4+7 +N-(fenilmetil)-aminopurina(300 ppm)]e 2. água destilada), formando seis tratamentos com quatro repetições de 50sementes. As características avaliadas foram percentagem de germinação, aos 14 e 35 dias, índice de velocidade de germinação (IVG), percentagem de emergência e índice de velocidade deemergência(IVE). A germinação, aos 14 dias, o IVG e a emergência de plântulas não foramafetados pelos estádios de maturação; entretanto, a germinação e o IVG foram maioresquando se utilizaram os reguladores vegetais. A porcentagem final de germinação foi maior para sementes retiradas de frutos parcialmente maduros e tratadas com reguladoresvegetais e observou-se maior IVE para sementes de frutos senescentes e tratadas comreguladores. Sementes tratadas com reguladores vegetais são mais vigorosas e apresentam maior velocidade de emergência de plântulas.

This study aimed to perform phenotypic characterization and to analyze the genetic diversity of Passiflora spp. accessions using qualitative multicategoric descriptors from leaves and flowers. The study was conducted in the Active Germplasm Bank 'Flor da Paixão' at Embrapa Cerrados. One hundred and twenty five Passiflora spp accessions were characterized using 48 qualitative multicategoric descriptors (23 from sheet and 25 from flower). Frequency distribution of accesses on different phenotypic classes of each descriptor was used to estimate the entropy coefficient for each descriptor. Genetic distances between accessions were estimated using a simple coincidence index. From the genetic distance matrix, grouping analysis via dendrogram were performed using as criterion the Unweighted Pair-Group Method using Arithmetic method Avarages. Phenotypic characterization based on qualitative multicategoric descriptors contributed to the 125 Passiflora spp. accessions differentiation. These characterization serving as an important tool to quantify the existing diversity and accessions differentiation. It is important for more comprehensive studies of genetic diversity and characterization of Passiflora genetic resources. Trabalhos de caracterização são importantes ferramentas para contribuir na inserção de recursos genéticos de passiflora nos programas de melhoramento genético. Sendo assim, objetivou-se realizar a caracterização fenotípica e analisar a diversidade genética de acessos de Passiflora spp., baseada em descritores multicategóricos de folhas e flores. O estudo foi realizado no Banco Ativo de Germoplasma ‘Flor da Paixão’ da Embrapa Cerrados. Foram caracterizados 125 acessos de Passiflora spp. utilizando 48 descritores qualitativos multicategóricos (23 de folha e 25 de flor). Com base na distribuição de frequência dos acessos nas diferentes classes fenotípicas de cada descritor, foi estimado o coeficiente de entropia de cada descritor. Foram estimadas distâncias genéticas entre os acessos, por meio do complemento do índice de coincidência simples. A partir da matriz de distâncias genéticas, realizou-se a análise de agrupamento via dendrograma, utilizando como critério o método Unweighted Pair-Group Method using Arithmetic Avarages. A caracterização fenotípica baseada em descritores multicategóricos contribuiu para a diferenciação dos 125 acessos Passiflora spp., servindo como importante instrumento para quantificar a diversidade existente e clara separação entre as espécies, sendo importante para estudos mais completos de caracterização e diversidade de recursos genéticos do gênero Passiflora.

Passion fruit is generally considered to have a short storage life, because it is a very delicate, perishable fruit. The objective of this work was to study the post-harvest conservation of Passiflora setacea fruit packed in PVC packages 12μm and 30μm thick, LDPE bags 100μm and 200μm thick, and without packaging (control), stored under ambient conditions at an average temperature of 21.3ºC and average relative humidity of 77.8%, and in refrigerated conditions in a cold room at 10ºC and 90% relative humidity for 14 days. At the beginning of storage and at three, seven, 10 and 14 days of storage the fruits were analyzed for titratable acidity, soluble solids, Ratio, fresh weight loss, hue angle and post-harvest diseases. The experiment had a completely randomized design with three replicates. The 12μm PVC package, under refrigeration, was the most efficient in the conservation of P. setacea fruit. It presented low fresh weight loss; Null percentage of fungal infestation; soluble solids above 11% until the tenth day of storage; Titratable acid content above 2.5% throughout the experiment. Besides, the fruit, at the end of 14 days of storage, did not show evidence of fermentation and no water condensation inside the packages.
