To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Cidan Capsule combined with adjuvant transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) in patients with a high risk of early recurrence after curative resection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).A multicenter, randomized controlled trial was conducted in patients with high-risk recurrence factors after curative resection of HCC from 9 medical centers between July 2014 and July 2018. Totally 249 patients were randomly assigned to TACE with or without Cidan Capsule administration groups by stratified block in a 1:1 ratio. Postoperative adjuvant TACE was given 4-5 weeks after hepatic resection in both groups. Additionally, 125 patients in the TACE plus Cidan group were administrated Cidan Capsule (0.27 g/capsule, 5 capsules every time, 4 times a day) for 6 months with a 24-month follow-up. Primary endpoints included disease-free survival (DFS) and tumor recurrence rate (TRR). Secondary endpoint was overall survival (OS). Any drug-related adverse events (AEs) were observed and recorded.As the data cutoff in July 9th, 2018, the median DFS was not reached in the TACE plus Cidan group and 234.0 days in the TACE group (hazard ratio, 0.420, 95% confidence interval, 0.290-0.608; P0.01). The 1- and 2-year TRR in the TACE plus Cidan and TACE groups were 31.5%, 37.1%, and 60.8%, 63.4%, respectively (P0.01). Median OS was not reached in both groups. The 1- and 2-year OS rates in TACE plus Cidan and TACE groups were 98.4%, 98.4%, and 89.5%, 87.9%, respectively (P0.05). The most common grade 3-4 AEs included fatigue, abdominal pain, lumbar pain, and nausea. One serious AE was reported in 1 patient in the TACE plus Cidan group, the death was due to retroperitoneal mass hemorrhage and hemorrhagic shock, and was not related to study drug.Cidan Capsule in combination with TACE can reduce the incidence of early recurrence in HCC patients at high-risk of recurrence after radical hepatectomy and may be an appropriate option in postoperative anti-recurrence treatment. Objective Papillary meningioma is rare and displays an aggressive clinical behavior with poor prognosis. Therefore, we performed an extensive literature review to evaluate the adverse factors and treatment strategy of survival. Method We performed Ovid, Medline, Embase, Pubmed, Web of Science and Cochrane database queries for articles published between 1938 and 2019 with the search term “WHO grade III meningioma” or “papillary meningioma” and “central nervous system”, “cerebral”, or “intracranial”. Results After a careful evaluation, a total of 19 studies were included. The entire cohort included the 67 patients, 34 (50.7%) were male and 33 (49.3%) were female with a mean age of 32.6 ± 2.1 years ranging from 4.5 months to 74 years. Gross total resection was achieved in 48 (71.6%) cases, and 29 (51.8%) patients received postoperative radiation. The mean follow-up period was 42.3 ± 4.4 months (range, 2–197 months). Thirty-six (53.7%) patients happened to recurrences, 11 (16.4%) patients happened to extracranial metastasis and 25 (37.3%) patients died. Univariate analysis revealed that the MIB > 5% trended toward a shorter time to recurrence (p = 0.084). Gross total resection was associated with favorable progression-free survival (p = 0.007) and overall survival (p = 0.001). Postoperative radiation was associated with favorable progression-free survival (p = 0.001). Conclusions Gross total resection and adjuvant radiation were recommended as the initial treatment option for patients with papillary meningioma.

BACKGROUND Peliosis hepatis (PH) is a rare benign lesion of vascular origin with a pathological characteristic of multiple blood-filled cavities in the liver parenchyma. It is commonly misdiagnosed due to its lack of specificity in clinical presentation and laboratory test results. Herein, a case of a patient with PH who was misdiagnosed with hepatic echinococcosis before operation to remove the lesions was analyzed, with an emphasis on the computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging characteristics of PH. CASE SUMMARY We outline the case of a 40-year-old Chinese female who was admitted with aggravated abdominal pain with fever for 1 wk. Ultrasound examination at the local hospital indicated hepatic echinococcosis. However, discordance between imaging diagnosis, clinical history and laboratory examinations in our hospital. Subsequently, the patient was pathologically confirmed as having PH-like changes, which recurred 1 year after operation removal of the lesion. CONCLUSION Our objective is to highlight the imaging diagnostic value of PH.

The special eco-physiological characteristics of moso bamboo (毛竹具有独特的生理生态学特征,会不断地向邻近的生态系统扩张。这一现象会造成生态系统退化、土壤理化性质和微生物群落结构改变等问题,引起了人们的高度关注。然而,目前关于毛竹扩张对微生物群落结构的影响研究甚少。以安吉灵峰寺林场的长期定位试验为平台,在4条毛竹扩张样带上依次设置常绿阔叶林(BLF)、竹-阔混交林(MEF)和毛竹林(PEF)样地,测定不同林型的土壤理化性质以及微生物群落特征。结果表明: 随着毛竹的扩张,土壤pH值显著上升,毛竹林土壤pH值分别比竹-阔混交林和常绿阔叶林高0.37和0.32,而有机碳、铵态氮、硝态氮含量显著降低;除丛枝菌根真菌外,其他主要微生物类群都有下降的趋势,且微生物多样性和丰富度显著降低。毛竹扩张对土壤碳输入及养分的改变是影响地下微生物群落生物量及结构的重要因素,其中土壤有机碳、铵态氮含量是影响土壤微生物群落变化的主要因子。.

NMHCs concentrations and VOCs components were sampled from 12 typical catering units in Sichuan Province. Combined with literature data, the cooking source profile containing 117 VOCs was established comprehensively, and the NMHCs emission factors were obtained. Based on the bottom-up research method, the volatile organic compounds emission inventory of cooking sources in Sichuan Province was established. The results showed that the oxygen and alkane groups were the most important components for Sichuan cuisine, barbecue, and canteen, and the total proportion of the two groups was greater than 75%. The main VOCs species were ethanol, formaldehyde, ethane, hexanal, ethylene, 1,3-butadiene, and acrolein. Oxygen-containing components contributed the most to OFP, followed by olefin. The major OFP contributors were formaldehyde, ethylene, ethanol, 1,3-butadiene, acrolein, hexanal, etc. In 2019, the VOCs emissions and OFP values of cooking sources in Sichuan Province were 32kt and 141kt, respectively, accounting for approximately 5% of the anthropogenic VOCs emissions and OFP values in Sichuan Province. The VOCs emission from cooking may have an important contribution to ozone formation, which means more attention should be paid to cooking.

Background HIF-1α is relevant to inflammation and fibrosis in hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related liver diseases. Thus, we designed a predictive model for decompensated cirrhosis. Methods Peripheral plasma HIF-1α levels were measured in 52 subjects, including 20 patients with HBV-related-compensated-cirrhosis (HBV-CC), 20 patients with HBV-related-decompensated-cirrhosis (HBV-DC) that underwent transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS), and 12 healthy controls (HC). Portal plasma HIF-1α levels were detected in HBV-DC patients. The correlation between clinical data and HIF-1α levels was assessed, logistic regression and nomogram were used to develop prediction model. Results Plasma HIF-1α levels were significantly higher in HBV-DC patients than that in HBV-CC patients and healthy controls (DC: 656.34±417.96, CC: 294.23±138.03, HC: 194.63±54.14, pg/ml; P = 0.0004). Plasma HIF-1α levels were positively correlated with total bile acid, total bilirubin, APRI, FIB-4, and MELD scores, and negatively correlated with albumin and platelets. Multivariate logistic regression manifested that total bilirubin (OR = 19.439; 95% CI: 1.486–254.320, P = 0.024), spleen thickness (OR = 75.144; 95% CI: 4.157–1358.440, P = 0.003) and HIF-1α concentrations above 341.78 pg/ml (OR = 23.580; 95% CI: 1.842–301.781, P = 0.015) were markedly associated with HBV-DC and thus included in the nomogram. The terrific cut-off value for the probability of HBV-DC was > 45%, and area under the curve was 0.954 (P < 0.001), with 95% sensitivity and specificity. Conclusions HIF-1α is related to biochemical liver parameters, cirrhosis grade, and progression to HBV-DC. Our model has preferable predictive value for HBV-DC.

Background Increasing evidence suggests that ADSCs execute their paracrine function via the secretion of exosomes, especially under hypoxic conditions. However, the mechanisms by which ADSCs-derived exosomes (ADSC-exos) enhance angiogenesis under hypoxia remain unclear. Methods Exosomes were isolated from HIF-1α-modified ADSCs culture supernatants. To investigate the effects HIF-1α-ADSC-exos on HUVECs, cell growth, apoptosis, and tube formation assay were performed with or without HIF-1α-ADSC-exos. Moreover, to determine the function of HIF-1α-ADSC-exos, the therapeutic effects of ADSC-exos and HIF-1α-ADSC-exos were examined in PAH rats. Results Exosomes released by HIF-1α-modified ADSCs rescued the impaired angiogenic ability, migratory function, and inflammatory factors of hypoxia-injured HUVECs, with increased SDF-1α, Rac1, Rac2, VEGF and IL-10 expression. Furthermore, exos-HIF-1α activated SIRT3 to enhance angiogenesis in HUVECs and induced IL-10 expression to inhibit inflammatory response. Block SIRT3 or SDF-1α abolished the angiogenic effect in HUVECs. Conclusion Our findings indicated that the SIRT3 contributed a crucial role in HIF-1α-ADSC-exos in tissue repair under hypoxia.

Algae-based astaxanthin is a valuable red keto-carotenoid with multiple biofunctions and widely applied in healthy food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical industry with fast-growing demands in global market. However, the present cost of natural astaxanthin production from microalga Haematococcus pluvialis is still relatively high. The unique green microalga Chromochloris zofingiensis has been regarded as an alternative astaxanthin producer over other microalgae, which are mainly due to its promising capability of fast growing under heterotrophic and mixotrophic conditions for astaxanthin production with other value-added bioactive compounds beyond. This review will provide a full summary in recent advances on biotechnological production of astaxanthin and other valuable metabolites by C. zofingiensis in different systems as well as the benefits and limitations of C. zofingiensis as the astaxanthin producer. Based on the collation of recent literature and patents, we will present the novel strategies of improving the cultivation process and potential metabolic engineering for enhancing astaxanthin biosynthesis in C. zofingiensis. Future prospects of C. zofingiensis-based microalgal biorefinery are also discussed, which will focus on the evaluation of the potential and feasibility of replacing other producers for low-cost astaxanthin production. In conclusion the current reports will demonstrate that C. zofingiensis is a promising alternative producer for the cost-competitive production of natural astaxanthin. New insights into integrated microalgal biorefinery for economically commercial production of astaxanthin in the near future will be present finally.

In this study, typical industries that act as sources of volatile organic compound (VOCs) emission in Sichuan, including automobile manufacturing, wooden furniture, wood-based panel manufacturing, and paint production, were selected and GC-MS national standard analysis to study the organized emission VOC components of every procedure. The spectra of VOCs in the automobile industry were obtained by means of total emission normalization. The results showed that the VOC components of automobile manufacturing, wooden furniture, and oil paint manufacturing enterprises were mainly aromatic hydrocarbons and oxygen-containing compounds, accounting for more than 70% of total VOCs; the emissions from automobile part manufacturing enterprises were mainly aromatic hydrocarbons, with a ratio of over 90%. The proportion of oxygen-containing compounds in the wood-based panel manufacturing industry was found to be up to 97%, mainly caused by the emission of formaldehyde, which accounts for 75%, followed by isopropanol, acetone, and other substances. The proportion of aromatic hydrocarbon and olefin in synthetic resin enterprises is relatively high at over 80%. The olefin species are mainly 1,3-butadiene and 1-butene. Although there are some differences in emission species between different industries, they are mainly composed of aromatic hydrocarbons and oxygenates. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the identification and control of components with high concentration, activity, and toxicity for aromatic hydrocarbons and oxygenates. The source, process, and end process control should be monitored to achieve the effect of total emission reduction.

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are critical precursors of secondary pollutants such as O3 and PM2.5; some VOCs are also harmful to human health directly. In recent years, O3 pollution in summer and PM2.5 pollution in winter have occurred frequently in Chengdu, a megacity in southwest China. Effective pollution control on O3 and PM2.5 require clarification of VOCs pollution characteristics. In this study, 90 VOC species were observed using the online VOC monitoring system in June 2018 and in January 2019 at an urban monitoring station in Chengdu. The positive matrix factorization (PMF) model and the potential source contribution function (PSCF) model were used to analyze the main sources and potential source regions of VOCs in summer and winter. The O3 formation potentials (OFPs) of VOCs from different species, sources, and its contribution to secondary organic aerosols (SOA) were analyzed. Additionally, the health risks of human exposure to VOCs were also assessed. The results showed that the mixing ratio of total VOCs (TVOCs) in winter (53.3 ppbv) was around twice as high as in summer (26.8 ppbv), and TVOCs were mainly composed of alkanes. From the perspective of diurnal variation, the high values of VOCs in the morning and evening were mainly affected by traffic, and the low mixing ratios of VOCs in the afternoon was mainly due to photochemical reactions. The main sources of VOCs in downtown Chengdu was LPG/NG usage, which accounted for more than 30% in both summer and winter. The main potential source regions of TVOCs were from the western and northern regions with industrial contribution. The regional transmission characteristics between the two seasons were different, pollutants diffused in short distance and moved slowly in summer, while they migrated far and spread widely in winter. The most reactive species were alkenes and aromatics which contributed most to O3 formation potentials. VOCs from solvent utilization, vehicle exhaust, and LPG/NG usage were the main precursors of O3. VOC concentration in the atmosphere is unlikely to cause evident non-carcinogenic risk to human health, but still poses potential carcinogenic risk.

The aim of the present study was to assess the therapeutic effects of atorvastatin on cerebral vessel autoregulation and to explore the underlying mechanisms in a rabbit model of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). A total of 48 healthy male New Zealand rabbits (weight, 2‑2.5 kg) were randomly allocated into SAH, Sham or SAH + atorvastatin groups (n=16/group). The Sham group received 20 mg/kg/d saline solution, whereas 20 mg/kg/d atorvastatin was administered to rabbits in the SAH + atorvastatin group following SAH induction. Changes in diameter, perimeter and basilar artery (BA) area were assessed and expression levels of the vasoactive molecules endothelin‑1 (ET‑1), von Willebrand factor (vWF) and thrombomodulin (TM) were measured. Neuronal apoptosis was analyzed 72 h following SAH by terminal deoxynucleotidyl-transferase‑mediated dUTP nick‑end labeling (TUNEL) staining. OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this study is to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis to estimate the clinical value of MRI in assessing the stability of osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) lesions. MATERIALS AND METHODS. A systematic review of the literature published from January 1995 to July 2018 was performed by two independent reviewers using predefined search terms. The reference standard was established as arthroscopy or open surgery. True- and false-positive results as well as true- and false-negative results were counted. The quality of the selected studies was assessed using the Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies-2 tool. Pooling of diagnostic accuracy, subgroup analysis, and identification of publication bias were included. RESULTS. Sixteen studies were included in the general data pooling. The pooled sensitivity and specificity were 0.92 (95% CI, 0.87-0.95; I2 = 0.55) and 0.85 (95% CI, 0.64-0.95; I2 = 0.88), respectively. The pooled sensitivity and specificity for juvenile OCD lesions were 0.93 (95% CI, 0.82-0.97) and 0.68 (95% CI, 0.41-0.86), respectively. Subgroup analysis showed that the staging system of Dipaola and colleagues and the criteria of De Smet and colleagues had a significant independent association with sensitivity. There was no evidence of publication bias (p = 0.57). CONCLUSION. The current meta-analysis suggested that MRI has a high diagnostic value for assessing the stability of OCD lesions. However, the MRI criteria applied for adult OCD lesions do not perform well in predicting stability of juvenile OCD lesions. Although some new juvenile OCD-specific MRI criteria yielding a satisfactory outcome have been proposed, further investigations are warranted.

To report treatment experiences with titanium mesh cranioplasty infection at a single institution over the last 5 years.We retrospectively reviewed 11 consecutive patients who were diagnosed with infection under the skin flap after titanium mesh cranioplasty and received our new treatment between Feb 2008 and Feb 2013. We performed a 2- to 6-year follow-up to evaluate prognosis and security.All 11 patients were cured and discharged, and all saved their infected bone flap (titanium mesh) completely. There was no recurrence of infection after follow-up for 2-6 years.Sensitive antibiotics combined with enclosed continuous irrigation and drainage is a safe, easy, economical and effective treatment for infection after titanium mesh cranioplasty that can save the infected bone flap.

Hepatitis B virus-associated glomerulonephritis (HBV-GN) is one of the extrahepatic manifestations after HBV infection, which would cause great clinical harm to people. The present study was undertaken to investigate the HBV-GN genotypes and its clinical relevance in Chinese children.A total of 41 HBV-infected children diagnosed with HBV-GN were enrolled in the study. All patients underwent liver and kidney biopsy. The genotypes and cccDNA were detected in their serum samples to analyze the relationship between HBV genotypes and clinical characteristics, cccDNA, and pathology.Among the 41 children with HBV-GN, 29 (70.7%) had genotype C, 10 (24.4%) had genotype B, 2 (4.9%) had genotype B/C, and none of them had genotype non-B/C. Most children had genotypes B or C; moreover, the genotype C was the most frequent one. The incidence of hematuria and albuminuria, reduction in complement C3, increase in serum alanine aminotransferase levels and renal insufficiency in the children with genotype C were significantly higher than those in the children with genotype B (P0.05); however, there was no statistically significant difference in hypertension and hepatomegaly (P0.05). The frequency of HBV cccDNA positive in the genotype C group was significantly higher than that in the genotype B group (72.4% vs. 30.0%, P0.05). No difference was observed in hepatic inflammation grades and stages of fibrosis between the two groups (P0.05).Genotype C was the most frequent genotype in the described group of patients with HBV-GN, and the liver and kidney damage indicators were more likely to occur in patients with genotype C.

This study examined how soil bacterial and fungal communities responded to the cultivation history of Moso bamboo in Anji and Changxing counties, Huzhou, Zhejiang, China. Soil samples (0-20 and 20-40 cm) were taken from bamboo plantations subjected to different cultivation histories and analyzed the community structures of soil bacterial and fungal by PCR-DGGE methods. It was found that soil bacterial and fungal communities varied greatly with the development of bamboo plantations which converted from Masson pine forest or formed via invading adjacent broadleaf shrub forest. Soil bacterial community structures exhibited a greater response to bamboo cultivation time than fungal community, but bacteria structure of surface soil displayed an ability of resiliency to disturbance and the tendency to recover to the original state. The cultivation time, sampling site and soil layer significantly affected the biodiversity of soil bacteria and fungi, especially the latter two factors. Redundancy analysis (RDA) of soil properties and bacteria or fungi communities showed that there were no accordant factors to drive the alteration of microbial structure, and the first two axes explained less than 65.0% of variance for most of the sampling sites and soil layers, indicating there existed soil parameters besides the five examined that contributed to microbial community alteration.为揭示天然林改为毛竹林过程中土壤微生物变化规律,在浙江省湖州市安吉县和长兴县两地选择不同种植历史的粗放经营毛竹林,分层采集0～20和20～40 cm的混合土壤样品,应用PCR-DGGE技术分析土壤细菌和真菌群落结构及多样性变化.结果表明: 在马尾松林改种毛竹林或毛竹林入侵杂灌阔叶林形成毛竹纯林过程中,土壤细菌和真菌的群落结构均发生明显变化,且细菌结构对毛竹种植的响应更敏感;随着毛竹生长时间的延长,表层土壤细菌群落表现出抵抗干扰、最后向改种毛竹之前状态恢复的趋势.毛竹种植时间、样地和土层均对土壤细菌和真菌多样性产生显著影响,其中样地和土层的影响明显大于种植时间.土壤性质和细菌、真菌结构的冗余分析结果表明,不同地点、不同土层驱动土壤微生物结构随时间变化的主要因子没有一致规律,且第1、2轴对样地变化的解释率大多低于65.0%,说明除本研究分析的5个土壤化学指标外,可能还有其他土壤理化性质共同驱动微生物结构的变化.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a prominent public health issue that has a significant negative impact on patients and their family members. It is the leading cause of mortality and disability among young (below 50 years old) individuals. Intracranial hypertension (ICH) remains the single most difficult therapeutic challenge for the management of severe TBI. Therapeutic hypothermia may reduce intracranial hypertension and improve patient outcomes; however, the use of hypothermia is controversial. It has been reported that therapeutic hypothermia elicits no therapeutic benefit for patients with TBI. The present study presents two patients with severe(s) TBI who were admitted to 101st Hospital of the People's Liberation Army Between June 2017 to October 2017. Multimodal brain monitoring measurements of intracranial pressure, cerebral perfusion pressure (CPP) and bispectral index (BIS) were used during assisted hypothermia for management of patients with sTBI. The duration, degree of hypothermia treatment and speed of re-warming were assessed.

Cadmium sensitivity in sultr1;1 - sultr1;2 double mutant with limiting sulfate supply is attributed to the decreased glutathione content that affected oxidative defense but not phytochelatins’ synthesis. In plants, glutathione (GSH) homeostasis plays pivotal role in cadmium (Cd) detoxification. GSH is synthesized by sulfur (S) assimilation pathway. Many studies have tried to investigate the role of GSH homeostasis on Cd tolerance using mutants; however, most of them have focused on the last few steps of S assimilation. Until now, mutant evidence that explored the relationship between GSH homeostasis on Cd tolerance and S absorption is rare. To further reveal the role of GSH homeostasis on Cd stress, the wild-type and a sultr1;1-sultr1;2 double mutant which had a defect in two distinct high-affinity sulfate transporters were used in this study. Growth parameters, biochemical or zymological indexes and S assimilation-related genes’ expression were compared between the mutant and wild-type Arabidopsis plants. It was found that the mutations of SULTR1;1 and SULTR1;2 did not affect Cd accumulation. Compared to the wild-type, the double mutant was more sensitive to Cd under limited sulfate supply and suffered from stronger oxidative damage. More importantly, under the same condition, lower capacity of S assimilation resulted in decreased GSH content in mutant. Faced to the limited GSH accumulation, mutant seedlings consumed a large majority of GSH in pool for the synthesis of phytochelatins rather than participating in the antioxidative defense. Therefore, homeostasis of GSH, imbalance between antioxidative defense and severe oxidative damage led to hypersensitivity of double mutant to Cd under limited sulfate supply.

The slow intelligence system (SIS) technology is a novel technology for the design of a complex information system that is aware of the environment through multiple sensors and capable of improving its performance over time. In this paper we describe a practical slow intelligence system test bed where super-components can be specified to describe interactions among components. These super-components are automatically transformed into time controllers for components so they can be managed by the SIS test bed. We illustrate the application of this methodology to personal healthcare system design.

Although surgical resection is the primary means of curing both primary and metastatic lung cancers, about 80% of lung cancers cannot be removed by surgery. As most patients with unresectable lung cancer receive only limited benefits from traditional radiotherapy and chemotherapy, many new local treatment methods have emerged, including local ablation therapy. The Minimally Invasive and Comprehensive Treatment of Lung Cancer Branch, Professional Committee of Minimally Invasive Treatment of Cancer of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association has organized multidisciplinary experts to develop guidelines for this treatment modality. These guidelines aim at standardizing thermal ablation procedures and criteria for selecting treatment candidates and assessing outcomes; and for preventing and managing post-ablation complications.

Ramie, Boehmeria nivea (L.) Gaudich, family Urticaceae, is a plant native to eastern Asia, and one of the world's oldest fibre crops. It is also used as animal feed and for the phytoremediation of heavy metal-contaminated farmlands. Thus, the genome sequence of ramie was determined to explore the molecular basis of its fibre quality, protein content and phytoremediation. For further understanding ramie genome, different paired-end and mate-pair libraries were combined to generate 134.31 Gb of raw DNA sequences using the Illumina whole-genome shotgun sequencing approach. The highly heterozygous B. nivea genome was assembled using the Platanus Genome Assembler, which is an effective tool for the assembly of highly heterozygous genome sequences. The final length of the draft genome of this species was approximately 341.9 Mb (contig N50 = 22.62 kb, scaffold N50 = 1,126.36 kb). Based on ramie genome annotations, 30,237 protein-coding genes were predicted, and the repetitive element content was 46.3%. The completeness of the final assembly was evaluated by benchmarking universal single-copy orthologous genes (BUSCO); 90.5% of the 1,440 expected embryophytic genes were identified as complete, and 4.9% were identified as fragmented. Phylogenetic analysis based on single-copy gene families and one-to-one orthologous genes placed ramie with mulberry and cannabis, within the clade of urticalean rosids. Genome information of ramie will be a valuable resource for the conservation of endangered Boehmeria species and for future studies on the biogeography and characteristic evolution of members of Urticaceae.
