Cobalt ferrite Co1.2Fe1.8O4 nanoparticles were synthesized using the sol-gel auto combustion process. The impact of calcination temperature on structural, Magnetic and electrical properties has been investigated. The cubic spinel phase formation of ferrite structure was confirmed using Fourier Transform-Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray Diffraction Patterns (XRD). The size of the formed crystallite of ferrite samples ranges from 26.909 to 39.712 nm and was discovered to be dependent on the calcination temperature. According to the images obtained with a Field Emission-Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM), the particle size increases as the calcination temperature rises. The existence of Co, Fe, and O in all samples was also verified using Energy Dispersive Spectrum (EDS). Magnetic parameters for the as-burnt and calcined samples such as coercivity, saturation magnetization, and remanence field were investigated using a Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). All of the samples exhibited ferrimagnetic behavior. Saturation magnetization (Ms),remanance magnetization (Mr), and squareness ratio (Mr / Ms) increase as the calcination temperature increase. This behavior is linked to spin canting and disturbance in the surface spin. Using an LCR meter, dielectric loss factor (ε''), dielectric loss angle (tanδ), the dielectric constant (ε'), and σac conductivity of all samples were investigated at room temperature as a function of frequency. Based on Koop's theory, Maxwell-Wagner polarization process, and hopping of electrons, the differences have been described in dielectric properties at frequencies ranging from 50Hz to 2MHz.
