This paper aimed to design an autonomous indirect solar dryer, which can dehydrate the aguaymanto in a costeffective manner, yielding a quality product suitable for export from the central part highland of Peru. To complete this task, it was proposed to design a prototype of autonomous solar dryer of 100 kg per batch of aguaymanto, equipped with flat reflectors and forced air feed, and powered with photovoltaic energy. This system allows to dry aguaymanto fruit at the requirements needed for its exportation. The fryer has the following dimensions: inner dimensions of the drying chamber: bottom 0.60 m, width 1.40 m, and height 1.10 m, with additional 0.05 m for insulation. Hence, the outer measures are bottom 0.70 m, width 1.50 m, and height 1.20 m. Two solar collectors are proposed with the dimensions of each: 1.50 m wide, 2.40 m long, and 0.15 m height; 2 flat mirror reflectors are required. A 80 Wp photovoltaic panel was selected for the forced air system and process control. This solar dryer is expected to cope with the problem of post-harvest deterioration. Also, it will facilitate the export by improving product quality and providing a cost-effective technology.

espanolSe planteo el objetivo principal de estimar la radiacion solar global solar media diaria mensual y anual, mediante temperaturas extremas, aplicando el modelo Bristow-Campbell a las 19 estaciones meteorologicas de la Region Junin, responsabilidad del Servicio Nacional de Meteorologia e Hidrologia del Peru (SENAMHI) y los objetivos secundarios de calcular las temperaturas pronosticadas maximas y minimas a traves de series de tiempo. El metodo utilizado para la estimacion de la radiacion solar global media diaria mensual y anual fue el modelaje mediante el modelo empirico Bristow-Campbell y para el pronostico de las temperaturas se utilizo la serie de tiempos mediante la tecnica documental de los datos historicos de la pagina web de SENAMHI desde los anos 2000 al 2015. Se determino modelos predictivos estacionales para pronosticar temperaturas maximas y minimas al 2017 de las 19 estaciones de la Region Junin. Con las temperaturas extremas pronosticadas se estimo la radiacion solar global diaria media mensual mediante el modelo empirico Bristow-Campbell validado con datos registrados para estimar el coeficiente a considerando la altitud, consiguiendo que existen diferencias entre la Sierra y Selva siendo en la Sierra los valores promedios al 6 kWh/m2/dia y en la Selva 4 kWh/m2/dia, ambos valores resultan rentables para su aplicacion con fines de producir calor, frio y electricidad con energia solar. Estos resultados validan el modelo Bristow-Campbell para estimar confiablemente la radiacion solar global diaria media mensual y anual, mediante temperaturas extremas en la Region Junin - Peru. EnglishThe main objective of the study was to estimate the solar mean global solar radiation monthly and annual, using extreme temperatures, applying the Bristow-Campbell model to the 19 meteorological stations of the Junin Region, under the responsibility of the National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology of Peru (SENAMHI) and the secondary objectives of calculating the maximum and minimum predicted temperatures through time series. The method usedfor the estimation of global mean daily solar radiation monthly and yearly was modeling using the empirical model Bristow-Campbell and for the forecast of temperatures was used the time series using the documentary technique of historical data of the website of SENAMHI from the years 2000 to 2015. It was determined seasonal predictive models to predict maximum and minimum temperatures to 2017 of the 19 stations of the Junin Region. With predicted extreme temperatures, global average daily solar radiation was estimated by means of the validated Bristow-Campbell empirical model with recorded data to estimate the coefficient a considering the altitude, obtaining that there are differences bettween the Sierra and Selva, being in the Sierra the average values at 6 kWh/m2/day and in Jungle 4 kWh/m2/day, both values are proftable for their application with the purpose of producing heat, cold and electricity with solar energy. These results validate the Bristow-Campbell model to reliably estimate monthly average and annual average global solar radiation, using extreme temperatures in the Junin Region - Peru.

In order to have a tool to estimate the monthly and annual solar radiation on the horizontal surface land in Junín region, no area in which this information is available, validated and applied adapted Bristow-Campbell model to estimate the monthly average global solar radiation. For the creation of the database of the study area was used documentary techniques proposed by Espinoza (2010) and it was necessary to gather as much information available magnitudes as maximum and minimum temperatures of the records made in the towns of Junín located within the study area. By applying the t Student test for related samples contrasted no differences between values measured and calculated with the Bristow-Campbell model of monthly average daily global radiation. It shows the values of the 19 weather stations that are in the Junín Region, with the highest global solar radiation Viques station Huancayo Province in the Sierra with 6.2 kWh/m2/day. Pichanaki Station of the province of Chanchamayo, which belongs to the Selva is the one with lower global solar radiation with 3.8 kWh/m2/day. Profitability is determined for the less profitable Selva and Sierra is very profitable. In addition, the operating model is simple and available to all users. We conclude that application of the Bristow-Campbell model adapted, it is an instrument of great utility to generate a comprehensive database of available solar radiation in Junín region.

In order to have a tool to estimate the monthly and annual solar radiation on the horizontal surface in Junín region, in which is not available with this information, adapted Bristow-Campbell (1984) model for estimating global solar radiation monthly average. To develop the model of Bristow-Campbell that estimates the average daily global solar radiation monthly modeling technique proposed by Espinoza (2010), were recorded daily maximum and minimum temperatures of 19 weather stations and the equations proposed by the Solar High Peru 2003 was adapted to this model. The Bristow-Campbell model was developed with data recorded in stations: Santa Ana, Tarma and Satipo belonging to Sierra and Selva, respectively. The performance of applications calculated solar radiation was determined by considering the OLADE (1992) that solar radiation over 4,0 kWh/m2/day are profitable and 5,0 kWh/m2/day very profitable. The results indicate that the monthly average global solar radiation in Junín region is 5,3 kWh/m2/day corresponding to the 4,2 Forest and the Sierra 5,6 kWh/m2/day kWh/m2/day. Profitability is determined for the less profitable Selva and Sierra is very profitable. In addition, the operating model is simple and available to all users. We conclude that application of the Bristow-Campbell model adapted, it is an instrument of great utility to generate a comprehensive database of available solar radiation in Junín region.
