Calyptocarpus vialis (C. vialis), a plant of Asteraceae family exhibits nutritional value, antioxidant properties and has potential for various other biomedical applications. The present study is focused to assess the antimicrobial, antidiabetic, and anticancer potential of C. vialis extract and its integration with computational studies. The antimicrobial activity is performed against the Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), Bacillus subtilis (B. subtilis) pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa), Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria and Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S. cerevisiae), Candida albicans (C. albicans) fungi using disc diffusion method. Maximum Zone of Inhibition (ZOI) of 37±3.2 and 35±2.9 mm is obtained for S. aureus and B. subtilis respectively, whereas ZOI of 39±2.8 mm is obtained against C. albicans at dose of 500 μg/mL. The extract shows strong α‐amylase inhibition activity with IC50 ~46.8±0.81 μg/mL inferring about its antidiabetic potential. Anticancer activity of C. vialis extract is checked against HCT‐116 and DU‐145 cell lines using 3‐(4,5‐dimethylthiazol‐2‐yl)‐2,5‐diphenyltetrazolium‐bromide (MTT) assay, which shows excellent anticancer activity with IC50 value of 38.09±0.65 μg/ml and 36.34±1.05 μg/ml respectively. The obtained results are further verified using computational studies considering interaction among phytochemicals and selected targets. Mass rapid transit system is regarded as the optimal solution for a congested urban transit corridor. Primarily, MRTS influences land values, accessibility, travel patterns, and land use. It has the potential to expand access to remote regions and stimulate urban redevelopment. Conversely, in the absence of well-planned MRTS nodes, disorderly urban transformations ensue due to sensitive accessibility and, as a consequence, land valuation escalates, ultimately succumbing to market forces. As a consequence, disorder and congestion ensue, and instantaneous progressions transpire along the MRTS corridor and within their area of influence. The purpose of this study is to determine the causes and effects of Metro on the land values and land use patterns in the locality area as A Case Study of Delhi Metro Rail. The character composition of the area chosen for the research is entirely distinct from that of other regions where metro rail has been installed. This area includes several metro stations, including Lakshmi Nagar, Nirman Vihar, and Preet Vihar. In this study primary data collection is conducted through the utilization of GIS and Erdas Imagine software to map the existing land use of the area, in addition to conducting field surveys. Prior to commencing the primary survey, a handheld GPS was utilized to gather location data and conduct intelligence. The methodology utilized was predominately based on a comparison between the designated corridor before and after the construction of the metro. For medical fraternity, health system and policymakers to undertake effective countermeasures, a comprehensive assessment of the prevalence of anxiety among older adults is required; hence, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis using data pooled from surveys across the country. The search strategy was developed using medical subject headings (MeSH) terms and free-text keywords. We searched PubMed and Scopus for articles to report the prevalence of anxiety among older adults. The appraisal tool for cross-sectional studies was used for quality assessment. Prevalence from different studies was pooled together using the inverse variance heterogeneity method. Sensitivity analyses were performed to assess the impact of included studies' methodological quality on pooled results and to investigate potential causes of heterogeneity. Twenty-three studies were included in this systematic review. The overall pooled estimate of the prevalence of anxiety in older adults was 18.7% (95% CI: 2.4, 38.8). The studies had a high degree of heterogeneity. Publication bias was assessed using a Doi plot which showed an luis furuya-kanamori (LFK) index of 1.21 indicating minor asymmetry. Like other parts of the world, India has witnessed a rise in the number of elderly due to lower fertility rates, higher life expectancies and a shift in illness patterns from communicable to non-communicable. The number of elderly people suffering from diseases of mental health is expected to rise dramatically. The changes faced by the society in the past few decades brought revolution in all areas. The job requirements have undergone change tremendously. The emergence of e-culture, e-education, e-governance, e-training, e-work sites and so on questioned the capacity of conventional face to face education in catering to all and relevance of existing job related skills to a great extent in the emerging global society. Today, every one has to update his/her educational and/or professional skills and competencies to cope up with the emerging work challenges. This is more so in the field of science and technology. At the same time, it is impossible to cater to educational and training opportunities to one and all those who aspire for it through the conventional set up. The distance and open learning (ODL) seems to be one of the viable alternatives. Today, the success and viability of ODL is accepted globally. Coulter (1989), through a study demonstrated that ODL is a cost-effective medium in providing educational opportunities. Similarly Holmberg (1981) also mentioned ODL as a systematic teaching-learning medium by using variety of medium for imparting learning. The present study is an attempt to study the experiences of the open science learners of IGNOU on different aspect of the science higher education. Here a questionnaire was used to collect the data and responses from 81 students enrolled for B.Sc. from IGNOU were collected. The findings of the study reported that society has undergone drastic changes in the last few decades. The revolution led due to Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have widely affected all aspects of society. The emerging jobs require entirely new skills and competenciesi.e., employment in BPOs or switching over to e-governance, e-Banking and e- based sectors. Even e-learning has made numerous expectations from teachers and other personnel. The use of ICTs in almost every field needs adequately trained workers so that they can work efficiently and effectively. The training and retraining avenues in the conventional system is grossly inadequate to cope up with the present and future demands. The colonial monographs on Naga peoples and the colonial appropriation of artefacts in north-east India enhanced anthropological knowledge in Europe. This paper asks how far the 'decolonising the museum' approach can be applied in studying Naga collections in European museums and in facilitating critical engagement with ethnographic objects from Naga communities in both Western and Indian museums. There has been a regeneration of interest in the colonial history of Naga collections among European/New World academics and in ethnographic museums in the late 1980s, mid 2000s and currently in Humboldt Lab (2015) and Forum (2022), and among Naga communities themselves. Background: E-aushadhi is a drug supply chain management initiative of the Rajasthan government. This study is conducted to assess this e-health program as evidence is lacking in this context. Methods: A mix-method study was conducted. Primary data were recorded from key stakeholders using qualitative interviews. Secondary data were collected from internet-based searches, reports, documents, and available literature. Findings were contextualized into the Benefit-Evaluation framework using six dimensions. Results: E-aushadhi provides a systematic approach for sourcing, storing, and re-distribution of essential medicine through its three-tier structure. Its user-friendly dashboard entails accurate entries, customizable reports, and easy tracking. It has reduced workload and improved information management with timely drug supply while allowing monitoring with key performance indicators. Conclusions: E-aushadhi has been successful in improving beneficiary access at public health facilities and may act as a backbone architecture for various digital interventions in the National Digital Health Mission that supports the universal health coverage. Background: The rapid migration from rural to urban region results in mushrooming of slums in India. Urban-slums are comparatively poor vulnerable groups which are mostly affected with oral cancer due to higher exposure to risk factors like tobacco use. Aims: To assess pattern of tobacco consumption, awareness about oral cancer and related health education needs in urban slums of Jodhpur city. Methods: Study was conducted during July 2018Nov 2018 in slum of Jodhpur city. On the basis of cluster sampling strategy data were collected from 1200 participants regarding tobacco use and perception regarding oral cancer to identify health education needs in urban slums. Descriptive statistics, Chi-square test, multivariate logistics analysis were used and P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: A total of 1200 participants were surveyed, out of which 48.5% were males. Among the study population, 58.5% (n = 462/789) males and 41.45% (n = 327/789) females were consuming tobacco in one or more forms. The statistical association between: age and bidi, gutka, zarda consumption; gender and bidi, cigarette, gutka consumption was found to be significant (P < 0.001). The younger population (1530 years) has more willingness to quit tobacco than the older population. (OR = 1.52, 95% CI = 1.092.11). Almost 56% were aware of oral cancer. Conclusions: An effective information, education and communication (IEC) strategy for tobacco cessation should be designed with focus on different education needs according to age, gender, and education status of slum population.
