This article seeks to analyze the foundations of the idea of ​​teaching autonomy today, in the neoliberal context of alienation, exploitation, worker accountability and how this concept has been used in capitalist society from the point of view of reorganizing the teaching work. To this end, bibliographical research was used, supported by the discourse analysis of Fairclough (2001), with emphasis on the historical, political and social foundations of the idea of ​​autonomy. In general, it can be said that the regulated and granted autonomy has been controlled by the state to maintain the discourse of consensus and harmony of antagonistic interests, in addition to helping to hide the class division, and the weakening of solidarity between workers, a concept that is refuted in this work. The discourse on teaching autonomy has been appropriated by the neoliberal concept that strengthens the individual dimension and tends to fragment any form of collective organization. Beside this, it appears that the teaching autonomy, which expresses the strengthening of the social, among peers, can contribute to resignify the subjects' resistance to all forms of oppression and fragmentation.

Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare alterations in gene expression using two distinct immortalization methods (hTERT and HPV16-E6/E7) in ameloblastoma cell lines. Materials and methods A primary cell culture derived from human ameloblastoma (AME-1) was established and immortalized by two different methods using a transfection processes to hTERT and HPV-E6/E7. The RNAseq was used to verify which immortalization method had less influence on gene expression. It was performed in four steps: extraction and collection of mRNA, PCR amplification, comparison with the human reference genome and analysis of differential expression. The genes with differentiated expression were identified and mapped. Results RNAseq revealed genetic alterations in ameloblastoma cell lines after the immortalization process, including increased expression of tumor genes like MYC, E2F1, BRAF, HRAS and HTERT, and a decrease in tumor suppressor genes like P53, P21 and Rb. Conclusions It is possible to affirm that cell immortalization is not an inert method regarding gene regulation mechanisms and the hTERT method (AME-TERT) presented fewer changes in gene expression levels.

Este artigo tem o objetivo de construir um panorama da produção científica realizada no Brasil acerca das parcerias público-privadas na formação continuada de professores, fundamentado em pesquisas de periódicos encontrados na base de dados da Scientific Electronic Library Online e de periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, referentes ao período de 2006 a 2019. Essas parcerias se referem a contratos entre o poder público e o setor privado, no intuito de ofertar formação aos docentes em exercício na educação básica. Para tanto, após consulta aos objetivos de cada artigo, foram selecionados dez artigos a partir desse levantamento. Os resultados indicam que, apesar das parcerias público-privadas terem se expandido nas últimas décadas no Brasil, ainda são escassos os estudos que têm como objeto a formação continuada, o que nos leva a concluir que há a necessidade de ampliar o repertório das pesquisas sobre a temática, de forma crítica.

Carcinoma dissemination can occur when heterogeneous tumor and tumor stromal cells clusters migrate together via collective migration. Cells at the front lead and direct collective migration, yet how these leader cells form and interact with the microenvironment to direct migration are not fully appreciated. From live videos of primary mouse and human breast tumor organoids in a 3D microfluidic system that mimics the native breast tumor microenvironment, we developed 3D computational models which hypothesize that leader cells generate high protrusive forces and overcome extracellular matrix (ECM) resistance. Using single cell sequencing, we reveal leader cells are heterogeneous, and identify and isolate a unique Cadherin-3 (Cdh3) positive leader cell subpopulation that is necessary and sufficient to lead migration. Cdh3 controls leader cell protrusion dynamics through the local production of Laminin-332 which is required for integrin/focal adhesion function. Our findings highlight how a subset of leader cells interact with the microenvironment to direct collective migration.TeaserHigher protrusions of Cdh3+ leader cells polarize tumor organoids that then invade collagen via Lam332 adhesion feedback.

O artigo faz uma análise sobre o processo de privatização da educação efetivado pelas reformas neoliberais no Brasil a partir da década de 1990 e, em especial na formação continuada de professores, a partir das parcerias público-privadas. A metodologia adotada foi uma revisão bibliográfica. Constamos que essas reformas sinalizam para a valorização do setor privado no campo educacional como uma estratégia de garantia da ordem capitalista, em que o mercado é apresentado como regulador da vida social, sem que isso implique na defesa da igualdade e dos direitos sociais. Concluímos o texto propondo alternativas possíveis de se pensar a educação para além do capital, e a defesa de uma sólida formação de professores que os ajude a serem os intelectuais orgânicos de transformação do seu meio social, sujeitos de transformação, mesmo em situações de extrema desesperança. Sweet potato needs to be sexually propagated in breeding programs. However, its seeds have a hard and thick integument, requiring some dormancy breaking method. Scarification of seeds allows greater efficiency of the relationship between seeds obtained in crosses and those that germinate, providing genotypes to be tested for their potential, aiming at developing a new commercial cultivar. Thus, the objective of this study was to identify the effects of immersion times of seeds in sulfuric acid (98%) on the germination and initial growth of sweet potato seedlings. The seeds were immersed for five different times: 0 (control), 20, 40, 60, and 80 min. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design with ten repetitions consisting of 25 seeds each. The germination percentage, germination speed index (GSI), dry mass of whole seedlings, and length of the largest root and shoot of the seedlings were evaluated. The germination percentage and GSI increased with immersion time until 53.30 min, with maximum estimated values of 85.39 and 25.10%, respectively. For the parameters dry mass of whole seedlings, length of the largest root, and shoot length, increases were observed up to 55.00, 37.63, and 44.44 min, respectively. In conclusion, the immersion of sweet potato seeds in sulfuric acid (98%) for 53 min is ideal for breaking dormancy and providing better conditions for the initial development of seedlings.

Transfemoral carotid artery stenting (TF-CAS) and carotid endarterectomy (CEA) are alternative strategies for stroke prevention in patients with atherosclerotic carotid disease. Because their main objective is to prevent future ischemic events, regular reassessment of the outcomes is mandatory for providing the best therapy. The purpose of this study was to describe the practice and the outcomes of TF-CAS and CEA in symptomatic patients in public university hospitals in Brazil, using data from a prospective multicentric registry.A prospective 8-year observational study of patients with symptomatic carotid artery atherosclerotic disease that underwent TF-CAS and CEA in 5 public university hospitals affiliated with the RHEUNI (Registry Project of Vascular Disease in the Public University Hospitals of São Paulo). All consecutive procedures were included. The indications for the procedures were determined by each surgeon's individual discretion, in accordance with a preoperative risk evaluation. The outcome measures were any 30-day follow-up death, stroke, myocardial infarction (MI), and their combined outcome (major adverse cardiovascular events [MACE]). The registration of the study was made at clinicaltrials.gov NCT02538276.From January 2012 through December 2019, 376 consecutive and symptomatic patients were included in the study records. There were 152 TF-CAS procedures (40.4%) and 224 CEA procedures (59.5%). All completed the 30-day follow-up period. Occurrence of death (TF-CAS: 0.66% × CEA: 0.66%, P = 0.99), stroke (TF-CAS: 4.61% × CEA: 4.46%, P = 0.99), and MI (TF-CAS: 0.66% × CEA: 0%, P = 0.403) were similar in both groups, without statistically significant differences. MACE rate did not differ in both groups (TF-CAS: 5.92% × CEA: 4.46%, P = 0.633).Data from a prospective registry of 5 Brazilian university hospitals showed that TF-CAS and CEA in symptomatic patients had similar 30-day perioperative rates of death, stroke, and MI and their combination.

As the use of renewable energy sources grows, the energy aggregator company plays an increasingly significant role in ensuring extremely flexible supply and demand, as requested by the smart grid architecture. This study presents a model for the problem of intraday energy resource scheduling (hour-ahead). The model is solved using the CPLEX solver and is developed as mixed integer linear programming. A distribution network with 180 buses located in Portugal considering high distributed energy resources penetration is used to demonstrate the application of the proposed model. The findings indicate how forecast errors and contractual restrictions with energy storage systems and electric car charging stations affect hour-ahead scheduling costs.

Tude de Souza Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Geociencia Resumo: Este trabalho discute a questão das novas tecnologias de automação industrial, baseadas na microeletrônica, tendo em vista a situação da crise de acumulação capitalista instaurada a partir de meados da década de 60. Trata-se fundamentalmente de uma discussão da reestruturação produtiva que ocorre contemporaneamente nos paises capitalistas mais industrializados, visando o reestabelecimento do controle patronal sobre as classes trabalhadoras como maneira de se retomar o processo de acumulação capitalista, interrompido na virada da década de 60 e que se prolonga até o presente momento. Discutimos aqui a crise fordista dos anos 60 como a crise do processo de trabalho capitalista levado ao impasse pela resistência operária à intensificação do trabalho por conta da crise de acumulação instaurada pelo esgotamento do periodo expansionista da economia mundial do pós Segunda Guerra mundial. Assim como as possiveis alternativas ao processo de trabalho fordista, nomeadamente o "Just-in-Time" e a "Especialização Flexivel", em suas dimensões históricas e seus limites estruturais. Finalmente, questionamos o aspecto ideológico de tais alternativas pós-fordistas, recolocando no centro do debate o próprio desenvolvimento das forças produtivas sob o modo capitalista de produção permanentemente em crise Mestrado Mestre em Política Científica e Tecnológica
