The invasion of Cydalima perspectalis (Walker, 1859) (Lepidoptera, Crambidae) poses a significant threat to European ecosystems and North American ornamentals. In an effort to identify potential biological control agents from the native habitats of C. perspectalis, a field survey was conducted from 2022 to 2024 in South Korea. During the survey, a new braconid agathidine species of Braunsia Kriechbaumer, 1894 was discovered: Braunsia hodorii Kang, sp. nov. The new species is delimited and described based on morphological, molecular, and phylogenetic data. Additionally, information on the behavior of B. hodorii sp. nov. is presented regarding the larval external feeding phase. A key to species of Braunsia in Korea is included accompanied by detailed images. This research contributes to the evaluation of natural enemies as biological control agents against C. perspectalis in its invasive range.

Only 3 species have been recorded in the subtribe Masoreina from Cambodia. This study provides preliminary keys to the genera and species from the Oriental region and reports 3 newly recorded species of this group from Cambodia. Due to the inadequate descriptions of this group, all species examined in this study are provided with redescriptions, including the male genitalia.

Carabid beetles, are one of the largest taxonomic groups with >40,000 recorded species. Acoptolabrus leechi yooni has been listed as an endangered species in the Republic of Korea. The whole mitochondrial genome of A. leechi yooni consisted of a16,825-bp encompassing 13 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNA genes, 22 tRNA genes, and 1 control region. The DNA sequence comprises 79.4% of A-T region and 20.6% of G-C region. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that A. leechi yooni is very close to A. mirabilissimus mirabilissimus and A. changeonleei. This study provides a complete mitochondrial genome sequence of A. leechi yooni and basic data for protecting the endangered species.

Eco–corridors are essential for walking wild animals to move and connect with ecosystems between fragmented habitats. This study aimed to determine the role of the eco–corridor and the biodiversity of ground beetles near eco–corridors constructed between areas divided for a prolonged period. As a center of the Chupungryeong eco–corridor, Bongsan–myeon, Gimcheon–si, Gyeongsangbuk–do on the Gyeongbu expressway, four sites were examined. To confirm the movement of beetles on the bridge, we used the capture–recapture method by marking specimens around 5 cm belonging to Carabus jankowskii, Eucarabus sternbergi, and Carabus semiopacus. On the other hand, pitfall traps in each opposite area were used to investigate the biodiversity of ground beetles. Our results indicated that ground beetles moved between separated habitats using eco–corridors. In addition, the collections showed different diversities at each site. These results confirmed the important role of the eco–corridor in walking animals, although more detailed research is required. Additionally, these results provide baseline data for future eco–corridor construction

Mostly southeast Asian countries are known as the area of biodiversity’s hotspot; nevertheless, there are lots of uncleared distributional information and taxonomic errors in insect biodiversity. To resolve and advance the basic data in the species of Lepidoptera from Myanmar, checklist of the family Nymphalidae is provided. As a result, 529 species (included subspecies) of 105 genera in 13 subfamilies of Nymphalidae are listed from Myanmar based on the recent updated taxonomic data and original descriptions.

The termitophilous tenebrionid beetle of the genus Nepaloplonyx Bremer, 2014, are one of the four world-known species. From Myanmar, Nepaloplonyx kachinensis sp. nov. is described newly in here. Description and illustrations of adult and genitalia and taxonomic key of genus Nepaloplonyx Bremer 2014 are also provided.

The checklist of the subfamily Scarabaeinae from Cambodia is provided firstly in here, with distributional records of geographical ranges and record data in bibliography including Cambodia. In total, 63 species of seven tribes in the subfamily Scarabaeinae are recorded by reference works from Cambodia. Among them, seven coprophagid-beetles, Onitis falcatus (Wulfen, 1786), Onitis subopacus Arrow, 1931, Caccobius (Caccophilus) unicornis (Fabricius, 1798), Onthophagus (Gibbonthophagus) rectecornutus Lansberge, 1883, Onthophagus (Serrophorus) sagittarius (Fabricius, 1775), Onthophagus (Serrophorus) seniculus (Fabricius, 1781), and Tibiodrepanus sinicus Harold, 1868 are directly collected and confirmed in the Cambodian fauna from Indochina Peninsula. So, the species confirmed provided here with data of materials and adult photographs.

Cyclommatus Parry, 1862 is a genus in the family Lucanidae that consists of 62 species. In this study, six species of the montanellus species group in the genus Cyclommatus Parry from mountainous regions in Borneo Island were recognized and reviewed. Taxonomic redescription, one changed status, and key to male species were provided for the first time in this group. As a result, the following six species are reviewed: Cyclommatus montanellus Möllenkamp, 1904; Cyclommatus magnificus Nagel, 1926 stat. rev.; Cyclommatus murutiorum Ikeda and Katsura, 2001; Cyclommatus chewi Mizunuma, 1994; Cyclommatus giraffa Möllenkamp, 1904; and Cyclommatus dooseokyii Kim, 2018, and distributional maps, photographs of adult habitus, and male genitalia are provided.

ABSTRACT: Till now, there is only one recorded species for the subtribe Physoderina from Korea. Two species with two genera, Lachnoderma asperum Bates, 1883 and Physodera unicolor Ma, Shi & Liang, 2017 of the subtribe Physoderina are newly recorded in Korea. Taxonomic key, adult habitus, genitalia, distributional information, and reviewed remarks are provided.

As Truncatipennes ground beetles of the subfamily Lebiinae, genus Amphimenes Bates, 1873 is first recorded from Cambodia by Amphimenes (Amphinemes) rugulipennis (Bates, 1892) and a new species Amphimenes (Amphinemes) wooshini sp. nov. is described here. Four carabid beetles, Holcoderus smaragdinus Andrewes, 1926, Lachnothorax biguttatus Motschulsky, 1862, Callistomimus chalcocephalus quadristigma (Bates, 1892), and Platyrhopalopsis picteti (Westwood, 1874) are newly recorded from Cambodia. The tribe Danaini is reviewed for the first time from Myanmar. Ten species of four genera belonging to two subtribes are taxonomically described. Identification keys for the subtribes, the genera, and all species are provided. The adult illustrations for all examined species are also presented.
