Entrepreneurship promotes economic growth, particularly in developing economies where small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are a significant source of employment and economic activity. However, SMEs in developing countries often face various resource constraints and weak institutions, forcing them to engage in entrepreneurial bricolage behavior by creatively combining existing resources. This study explores the relationship between entrepreneurial bricolage and product, process, and marketing innovation among SMEs in the Philippines. Logistic regression estimates reveal that entrepreneurial bricolage has a significant and positive impact on product, process, and marketing innovation. As entrepreneurial bricolage behavior increases, so does the probability of innovation, highlighting the importance of creative problem-solving in settings with inadequate resources. The study also emphasizes the need for policies that support SMEs by providing enabling resources, such as robust infrastructure and reliable communication platforms, to encourage firm innovation that fosters positive spill-over effects on the broader economy.

Background and Study Aim. Electrolyte drinks are ion replacement drinks in the body that also help as additional energy. Moreover, it is said that this drink is not a drug because it has not been clinically tested so that it is included in the list and also complementary drinks have benefits and side effects for its users, of course, supplement drinks that isotonic drinks affect dehydration and isotonic drinks can normalize body fluids that have been lost during exercise. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the usefulness of Pocari and Mineral for fluids in the body after prolonged exercise. Material and Methods. This research is an experimental method. The population in this study were Tanjungpura University Sports Students Semester 5 with a total of 18 people divided into 2 groups so each group contained 9 people. In this study, the sample was given physical activity treatment through running 1200 meters. Furthermore, Pcoari and Mineral drinks were given to see the effect on pulse rate. Data analysis was assisted using SPSS 26. Results. The results show a significance value of 0.173 > 0.05 so it can be concluded that the data results of pocari water and mineral water do not experience significant differences. These results provide information that provides the same impact on pulse rate after physical activity. However, the mean value results show that mineral water (162.56) is smaller than pocari drinks (175.00). Conclusions. This result has important implications, especially for athletes or individuals engaged in similar sports activities. Consumption of mineral-containing isotonic drinks may be an effective strategy in supporting the body's recovery after physical exercise, thereby improving overall sports performance.

As a response to the mismatch between the performance standards indicated in the English curriculum and the communicative competence of English language learners, teachers employ oral feedback strategies that border on the Embarrassment and Hygiene Resource Framework of Mackay (1993). This study aimed to investigate how and why this framework operates in the English language teaching (ELT) of the Philippines by recording actual classroom interactions of five experienced teachers and five beginning teachers with their respective students from 10 public rural high schools. Descriptive statistics and content analysis were used in order to analyze and interpret data gathered from transcribed classroom interactions and semi-structured interview sessions of the participants. It was found out that the student-participants exhibit embarrassment-producing behaviors in the classroom, such as silence in response to teacher's questions, undue delay in response, inarticulate response, and resort to first language. In order to resolve such forms of embarrassments, the teacher-participants deploy hygiene resources, such as reasoning aloud for the students, vicarious dialogue, expansion or minimal responses, question reduction, and resort to first language. Generally, more than half (54% - 70%) of the oral feedbacks generated by the participants are classified under Mackay's (1993) framework. Reasons for this extensive display and use of embarrassments and hygiene resources include the function of local languages as communicative resources, use of speech disfluencies as aids in oral feedback planning, role of wait-time and periods of silence in promoting information processing, and regard for simplifying questions as strategies in soliciting responses. With such positive evaluations associated to cases of embarrassments and use of hygiene resources in ELT, this research argues that these mechanisms should be regarded as tools of empowerment for both teachers and learners. Participants employ them to facilitate negotiation of meaning and distribution of power relations in the multilingual ELT classrooms.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a public health emergency in all sectors of society, including universities and other academic institutions. This study determined the seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies among administrators, faculty, staff, and students of a private tertiary academic institution in the Philippines over a 7 month period. It employed a serial cross-sectional method using qualitative and quantitative COVID-19 antibody test kits. A total of 1,318 participants were tested, showing 47.80% of the study population yielding IgG antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 virus. A general increase in seroprevalence was observed from June to December 2021, which coincided with the vaccine roll-out of the country. All brands yielded positive antibody formation, with mRNA vaccines having higher levels than other types of vaccines. A decreasing trend in IgG reactivity was found in vaccinated individuals after 1 to 6 months of completion of the 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Where possible, IgG and T-cell reactivity and/or neutralizing capacity against SAR-CoV-2 need to be monitored regardless of vaccine brand. Together with uptake of COVID-19 vaccines and boosters, other public health interventions such as wearing of masks and regular testing need to be continued for better protection. Effective communication is also needed to inform risks associated with activities across different settings. Investments in long-term measures such as air filtration and ventilation systems, and wastewater surveillance need to be made.

The COVID-19 global health crisis has resulted in the emergence of a new type of solid waste–inappropriately discarded disposable masks (DMs)–posing serious risks to the public health and to the environment. This study assessed the knowledge-(“K”) and self-reported practices-(“P”) of the general public in DM waste management. A researcher-developed instrument was utilized to gather data with a reliability coefficient index of 0.94. The survey was participated in by 13,116 online users. Pearson r and multiple linear regression were performed to test the relationship between the participants’ demographic characteristics and their K and P. Results revealed that the participants obtained a weighted mean and standard deviation of 1.15±0.10, which shows that 11,597 or 88.41% are knowledgeable on solid waste disposal and management. The self-reported practices of the participants obtained weighted mean and standard deviation rating of 2.16±0.10, which is interpreted as “Always Practiced”. This signifies that the participants adequately practiced the essentials in disposing DMs. Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between K and P with their demographic characteristics on disposing DMs like age, sex, level of education, annual income, and type of residence.
