More and more social needs inject more complex social characteristics into future access network and cloud computing converging with access network supports more services. This paper proposes a novel framework and indicator for modeling the future access network. The framework frames the future access network in four dimensions: Highlevel Physical Capability, Softwarization & Virtualization, Service-Oriented Dynamic Networking and Deep Coupling with Social Elements. Based on this framework, an indicator is given which is used to optimize access network capability. Evaluation results demonstrate the framework and the indicator can make networking and service deployment clear and effective.

With the rapid development of networks, a great number of applications supported by fifth generation (5G), such as the Tactile Internet, ought to be provided with low delay. Hence, decreasing the delay of networks has attracted plenty of attention from academia. In this paper, we focus on constructing scale-free topologies toward low delay for the Core Network (CN) of 5G. The small average path length (APL), a notable property of the small-world, can be reflected in the Barabasi-Albert model (BA model). The small APL indicates that packets can be routed from the source to the destination through fewer switches, decreasing the nodal processing delay. We modify the BA model to construct scale-free networks with smaller APL to reduce the nodal processing delay caused by switches. Furthermore, we generalize the BA model with the delay of propagation. In addition, we compare our proposed model with the BA model in terms of the performance of delay and we analyze the effect of the parameters on delay. Experiments validate that the improvement of the model is affected by the total number of nodes in the network and the index parameter. Experimental results also show the delay of scale-free networks constructed by our proposed model is lower than the original BA model.

As a promising technology for the future Internet, network virtualization makes it possible to reshape currently ossified network architecture. This paper proposes a limited scale-free model for construction of virtual networks topologies, aiming to reduce network average path length and achieve a simplified virtual network. In the progress of constructing, new links are added into the initial network one by one, within the limitation of the cost-effective parameter. We also design a specific scheme for the construction model, including local-expanding algorithm and link-adding algorithm. The simulation result shows that the average path length of network is significantly reduced and the proposed construction model has a good applicability for networks with different scales and different kinds.

Communication network can be treated as a complex network carrying a variety of services and service can be treated as a network composed of functional entities. There are growing interests in multiplex service entities where individual entity and link can be used for different services simultaneously. Entities and their relationships constitute a service entity network. In this paper, we introduced a service entity network virtualization architecture including service entity network hierarchical model, service entity network model, service implementation and deployment of service entity networks. Service entity network oriented multiplex planning model were also studied and many of these multiplex models were characterized by a significant multiplex of the links or entities in different service entity network. Service entity networks were mapped onto shared physical resources by dynamic resource allocation controller. The efficiency of the proposed architecture was illustrated in a simulation environment that allows for comparative performance evaluation. The results show that, compared to traditional networking architecture, this architecture has a better performance.
