Alfin-like (AL) proteins are an important class of transcription factor (TF) widely distributed in eukaryotes and play vital roles in many aspects of plant growth and development. AL proteins contain an Alfin-like domain and a specific PHD-finger structure domain at the N-terminus and C-terminus, respectively. The PHD domain can bind to a specific (C/A) CAC element in the promoter region and affect plant growth and development by regulating the expression of functional genes. This review describes a variety of AL transcription factors that have been isolated and characterized in Arabidopsis thaliana, Brassica rapa, Zea mays, Brassica oleracea, Solanum lycopersicum, Populus trichocarpa, Pyrus bretschenedri, Malus domestica, and other species. These studies have focused mainly on plant growth and development, different abiotic stress responses, different hormonal stress responses, and stress responses after exposure to pathogenic bacteria. However, studies on the molecular functional mechanisms of Alfin-like transcription factors and the interactions between different signaling pathways are rare. In this review, we performed phylogenetic analysis, cluster analysis, and motif analysis based on A. thaliana sequences. We summarize the structural characteristics of AL transcription factors in different plant species and the diverse functions of AL transcription factors in plant development and stress regulation responses. The coordination between a hybrid energy storage system (HESS) and photovoltaic (PV) power station can significantly reduce grid-connected PV power fluctuations. This study proposes a HESS capacity optimal allocation method considering the grid-connected PV requirements. Firstly, based on the power fluctuation requirements in the PV power station grid-connected regulations, the maximum power point tracking working point switching control is performed for the PV power station, from which the grid-connected PV power and HESS power are obtained. Then, a capacity optimal allocation method and frequency division energy management strategy (EMS) for HESS is proposed to find the energy response and power response of each energy storage source. Furthermore, a multi-objective optimization function with HESS cutoff frequency as the independent variable is constructed, and the input cost of HESS and the life loss of the lithium battery are optimized. Finally, the overall strategy is compared and analyzed under the scenarios of three typical PV power fluctuations. Simulation results show that the control strategy has a good smoothing effect on PV power fluctuations. From the perspective of the annual comprehensive input cost, HESS realizes the optimal capacity allocation when the cutoff frequency is 0.0066 Hz. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The long-term objective in the field of heterogeneous catalysis is to develop an enzyme-like catalytic pathway that can achieve exceptional catalytic performance even at low temperatures. Herein, we have demonstrated a heterogeneous oxidase-type catalysis on the ZnO-supported Ru clusters (Ru/ZnO) for efficient H 2 generation from an aqueous solution of formaldehyde (HCHO) at low temperatures. Due to its unique reaction pathway, the Ru/ZnO catalysts exhibited a temperature-insensitive activity for H 2 generation at the temperature of 15 to 45 °C. Remarkably, even at a low temperature of 5 °C, the Ru/ZnO catalysts still enabled an H 2 generation rate of 13.8 mmol g cat -1 h -1 with a turnover frequency (TOF) of 1678 h -1 . Additionally, instead of producing a CO 2 /CO molecule, the HCHO molecule underwent a transformation into formic acid and/or formate as the byproduct. This finding presents a novel class of heterogeneous catalysts to expand the potential application scenarios of liquid hydrogen storage and transportation systems.
