Recently, with the rapid development of deep learning models, traffic analysis using image datasets recently has attracted more attention. Specifically, the network traffic can be represented to images as the input for deep learning models to provide various applications (e.g. Spatio-Temporal traffic forecasting). In this study, we propose a new image generation approach for traffic density classification in terms of large-scale road network. Particularly, traffic volume and speed are at certain areas able to be measured by using surveillance systems (e.g. loop detectors). However, measuring the density is difficult which depends on the spatial correlation from the perspective of the network. Consequently, an effective image generation approach, based on information arrival and departure time of vehicles, is proposed to deal with this problem. Regarding the experiment, traffic density classification using a convolutional neural network is executed on roadside equipment data of 11 continuous intersections for evaluating the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Traffic analysis using computer vision techniques is attracting more attention for the development of intelligent transportation systems. Consequently, counting traffic volume based on the CCTV system is one of the main applications. However, this issue is still a challenging task, especially in the case of complex areas that involve many vehicle movements. This study performs an investigation of how to improve video-based vehicle counting for traffic analysis. Specifically, we propose a comprehensive framework with multiple classes and movements for vehicle counting. In particular, we first adopt state-of-the-art deep learning methods for vehicle detection and tracking. Then, an appropriate trajectory approach for monitoring the movements of vehicles using distinguished regions tracking is presented in order to improve the performance of the counting. Regarding the experiment, we collect and pre-process the CCTV data at a complex intersection to evaluate our proposed framework. In particular, the implementation indicates the promising results of our proposed method, which achieve accuracy around 80% to 98% for different movements for a very complex scenario with only a single view of the camera.

Stutzerimonas kunmingensis TFRC-KFRI-1, isolated from the gut of Manila Clam in the sediment of the West Sea of Korea, was investigated for its potential as a probiotic bacterium. This strain, belonging to the family Pseudomonadaceae, was previously classified as Pseudomonas kunmingensis but later reclassified to the genus Stutzerimonas, known for species with bioremediation and probiotic properties. To evaluate its genomic features and potential applications, we performed draft-genome sequencing and analysis. The genome of S. kunmingensis TFRC-KFRI-1 was assembled into a 4,756,396 bp sequence with a 62.8% GC content. Genomic analysis suggested potential genes for carbohydrate degradation and lactic acid production. The strain exhibited high average nucleotide identity (ANI) and 16S rRNA similarity with S. kunmingensis HL22-2T, further supporting its potential as a probiotic. This genome sequence provides valuable insights into the functional capabilities of S. kunmingensis TFRC-KFRI-1 and its potential applications in various industries, including aquaculture and food biotechnology. Neural radiance fields (NeRF) have become an effective method for encoding scenes into neural representations, allowing for the synthesis of photorealistic views of unseen views from given input images. However, the applicability of traditional NeRF is significantly limited by its assumption that images are captured for object-centric scenes with a pinhole camera. Expanding these boundaries, we focus on driving scenarios using a fisheye camera, which offers the advantage of capturing visual information from a wide field of view. To address the challenges due to the unbounded and distorted characteristics of fisheye images, we propose an edge-aware integration loss function. This approach leverages sparse LiDAR projections and dense depth maps estimated from a learning-based depth model. The proposed algorithm assigns larger weights to neighboring points that have depth values similar to the sensor data. Experiments were conducted on the KITTI-360 and JBNU-Depth360 datasets, which are public and real-world datasets of driving scenarios using fisheye cameras. Experimental results demonstrated that the proposed method is effective in synthesizing novel view images, outperforming existing approaches.

Visual classification of pollen grains is crucial for various agricultural applications, particularly for the protection, monitoring, and tracking of flora to preserve the biome and maintain the quality of honey-based products. Traditionally, pollen grain classification has been performed by trained palynologists using a light microscope. Despite their wide range of applications, still tiresome and time-consuming methods are used. Artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to automate the pollen grain classification process. Recently, numerous AI-based techniques for classifying pollen grains have been proposed. However, there is still possibility for performance enhancement including processing time, memory size, and accuracy. In this study, an attention-guided pollen feature aggregation network (APFA-Net) based on deep feature aggregation and channel-wise attention is proposed. Three publicly available datasets, POLLEN73S, POLLEN23E, and Cretan pollen, having a total of 7362 images from 116 distinct pollen types are used for experiments. The proposed method shows F-measure values of 97.37 %, 97.66 %, and 98.39 % with POLLEN73S, POLLEN23E, and Cretan Pollen datasets, respectively. We confirm that our method outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods.

Finger-vein recognition is a biometric technology, which makes use of the pattern of veins in the skin of fingers. Finger-vein recognition is widely employed owing to its high recognition rate and ease of use. A spoof detection method is essential for identifying spoof attacks in biometric-recognition systems. Studies have primarily investigated methods for detecting spoof attacks that utilize image printing or replay using fake finger-vein images. However, no studies have investigated the detection of spoof attacks based on fake finger-vein images generated through a generative adversarial network (GAN), which is commonly implemented in deep-learning technologies. To solve this problem, we newly propose a spoof attack detection method robust against GAN-based fake finger-vein image generation. We verified the use of spoof finger-vein images generated through cycle-consistent adversarial networks (CycleGAN) to attack conventional finger-vein recognition systems and used this finding as the motivation for our research. We also propose a finger-vein spoof-detection method that employs score fusion of ensemble networks based on support vector machine using adaptive moment estimation (Adam) with a sharpness-aware minimization (SAM) optimizer. We conducted experiments using two open databases, ISPR and Idiap, to evaluate the proposed framework. The average classification error rates (ACER) of spoof detection using the proposed method with ISPR and Idiap were 0.37% and 0.23%, respectively. This result confirms the better performance by our method than conventional state-of-the-art methods.

Monocular depth estimation is a task aimed at predicting pixel-level distances from a single RGB image. This task holds significance in various applications including autonomous driving and robotics. In particular, the recognition of surrounding environments is important to avoid collisions during autonomous parking. Fisheye cameras are adequate to acquire visual information from a wide field of view, reducing blind spots and preventing potential collisions. While there have been increasing demands for fisheye cameras in visual-recognition systems, existing research on depth estimation has primarily focused on pinhole camera images. Moreover, depth estimation from fisheye images poses additional challenges due to strong distortion and the lack of public datasets. In this work, we propose a novel underground parking lot dataset called JBNU-Depth360, which consists of fisheye camera images and their corresponding LiDAR projections. Our proposed dataset was composed of 4221 pairs of fisheye images and their corresponding LiDAR point clouds, which were obtained from six driving sequences. Furthermore, we employed a knowledge-distillation technique to improve the performance of the state-of-the-art depth-estimation models. The teacher–student learning framework allows the neural network to leverage the information in dense depth predictions and sparse LiDAR projections. Experiments were conducted on the KITTI-360 and JBNU-Depth360 datasets for analyzing the performance of existing depth-estimation models on fisheye camera images. By utilizing the self-distillation technique, the AbsRel and SILog error metrics were reduced by 1.81% and 1.55% on the JBNU-Depth360 dataset. The experimental results demonstrated that the self-distillation technique is beneficial to improve the performance of depth-estimation models.

Because fish are vital to marine ecosystems, monitoring and accurate detection are crucial for assessing the potential for fisheries in these environments. Conventionally, fish-related assessment is conducted manually, which makes it labor-intensive and time-consuming. In addition, the assessments are challenging owing to underwater visibility limitations, which leads to poor detection accuracy. To overcome these problems, we propose two novel architectures for the automatic and high-performance segmentation of fish populations. In this study, the efficient fish segmentation network (EFS-Net) and multi-level feature accumulation-based segmentation network (MFAS-Net) are the base and final networks, respectively. In deep convolutional neural networks, the initial layers usually contain potential spatial information. Therefore, the EFS-Net employs a series of convolution layers in the early stage of the network for optimal feature extraction. To boost segmentation accuracy, the MFAS-Net uses an initial feature refinement and transfer block to refine potential low-level information and subsequently transfers it to the deep stages of the network. Moreover, the MFAS-Net employs multi-level feature accumulation that improves pixel-wise prediction for fish that are indistinct. The proposed networks are evaluated using two publicly available datasets, namely DeepFish and semantic segmentation of underwater imagery (SUIM), both of which contain challenging underwater fish segmentation images. The experimental results reveal that mean intersection-over-unions of 76.42% and 92.0% are attained by the proposed method for the DeepFish and SUIM datasets, respectively; these values are higher than those by the state-of-the-art methods such as A-LCFCN+PM and DPANet. In addition, high segmentation performance is achieved without compromising the computational efficiency of the networks. The MFAS-Net requires only 3.57 million trainable parameters to be fully trained. The proposed model and the complete code will be made available1.

Facial-image-based age estimation is being increasingly used in various fields. Examples include statistical marketing analysis based on age-specific product preferences, medical applications such as beauty products and telemedicine, and age-based suspect tracking in intelligent surveillance camera systems. Masks are increasingly worn for hygiene, personal privacy concerns, and fashion. In particular, the acquisition of mask-occluded facial images has become more frequent due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These images cause a loss of important features and information for age estimation, which reduces the accuracy of age estimation. Existing de-occlusion studies have investigated masquerade masks that do not completely occlude the eyes, nose, and mouth; however, no studies have investigated the de-occlusion of masks that completely occlude the nose and mouth and its use for age estimation, which is the goal of this study. Accordingly, this study proposes a novel low-complexity attention-generative adversarial network (LCA-GAN) for facial age estimation that combines an attention architecture and conditional generative adversarial network (conditional GAN) to de-occlude mask-occluded human facial images. The open databases MORPH and PAL were used to conduct experiments. According to the results, the mean absolution error (MAE) of age estimation with the de-occluded facial images reconstructed using the proposed LCA-GAN is 6.64 and 6.12 years, respectively. Thus, the proposed method yielded higher age estimation accuracy than when using occluded images or images reconstructed using the state-of-the-art method.

Biometrics using finger-veins is a recognition method based on the shape of veins in fingers, and it has the advantage of difficulty to be forged. However, a shade is inevitably produced due to the bones and fingernails, and a change in illumination occurs when acquiring the images of finger-veins. Previous studies have conducted finger-vein recognition using a single-type texture image or finger-vein segmented image (shape image). A texture image provides numerous features, but it is vulnerable to the changes in illumination during recognition and contains noises in regions other than the finger-vein region. A shape image is less affected by noises; however, the recognition accuracy is significantly reduced due to fewer features available and mis-segmented regions caused by shades. In this study, therefore, rough finger-vein regions in an image are detected to reduce the effect of mis-segmented regions, to complement the drawbacks of shape image-based finger-vein recognition. Furthermore, score-level fusion is performed for two output scores of deep convolutional neural network extracted from the texture and shape images, which can reduce the sensitivity to noise, while diverse features provided in the texture image are used efficiently. Two open databases, the Shandong University homologous multi-modal traits finger-vein database and Hong Kong Polytech University finger image database, are used for experiments, and the proposed method shows better recognition performance than the state-of-the-art method.

Among the existing biometrics methods, finger-vein recognition is beneficial because finger-veins patterns are locate under the skin and thus difficult to forge. Moreover, user convenience is high because non-invasive image capturing devices are used for recognition. In real environments, however, optical blur can occur while capturing finger-vein images du to both skin scattering blur caused by light scattering in the skin layer and lens focus mismatch caused by finger movement. The blurred images generated in this manner can cause severe performance degradation for finger-vein recognition. The majority of the previous studies addressed the restoration method o skin scattering blurred images; however, only limited studies have addressed the restoration of optically blurred images. Even the previous studies on the restoration of optical blur restoration have performed restoration based on the estimation of the accurate point spread function (PSF) for a specific image-capturing device. Thus, it is difficult to apply these methods to finger-vein images acquired by different devices. To address this problem, this paperproposes a new method for restoring optically blurred finger-vei images using a modified conditional generative adversarial network (conditional GAN) and recognizing the restored finger-vein images using a deep convolutional neural network (CNN). The results of the experiment performed using two open databases, the Shandong University homologous multimodal traits (SDUMLA-HMT) finger-vein database and Hong Kong Polytechnic University finger-image database (version 1) confirmed that the proposed method outperforms the existing methods.

Age estimation using facial images is applicable in various fields, such as age-targeted marketing, analysis of demand and preference for goods, skin care, remote medical service, and age statistics, for describing a specific place. However, if a low-resolution camera is used to capture the images, or facial images are obtained from the subjects standing afar, the resolution of the images is degraded. In such a case, information regarding wrinkles and the texture of the face are lost, and features that are crucial for age estimation cannot be obtained. Existing studies on age estimation did not consider the degradation of resolution but used only high-resolution facial images. To overcome this limitation, this paper proposes a deep convolutional neural network (CNN)-based age estimation method that reconstructs low-resolution facial images as high-resolution images using a conditional generative adversarial network (GAN), and then uses the images as inputs. An experiment is conducted using two open databases (PAL and MORPH databases). The results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves higher accuracy in high-resolution reconstruction and age estimation than the state-of-the art methods.

Owing to the rapid advancements in smartphone technology, there is an emerging need for a technology that can detect banknotes and coins to assist visually impaired people using the cameras embedded in smartphones. Previous studies have mostly used handcrafted feature-based methods, such as scale-invariant feature transform or speeded-up robust features, which cannot produce robust detection results for banknotes or coins captured in various backgrounds and environments. With the recent advancement in deep learning technology, some studies have been conducted on banknote and coin detection using a deep convolutional neural network (CNN). However, these studies also showed degraded performance depending on the changes in background and environment. To overcome these drawbacks, this paper proposes a three-stage detection technology for new banknotes and coins by applying faster region-based CNN, geometric constraints, and the residual network (ResNet). In the experiment performed using the open database of Jordanian dinar (JOD) and 6,400 images of eight types of Korean won banknotes and coins obtained using our smartphones, the proposed method exhibited a better detection performance than the state-of-the-art methods based on handcrafted features and deep features.

Biometrics is a method of recognizing a person based on one or more unique physical and behavioral characteristics. Since each person has a different structure and shape, it is highly secure and more convenient than the existing security system. Among various biometric authentication methods, finger-vein recognition has advantages in that it is difficult to forge because a finger-vein exists inside one’s finger and high user convenience because it uses a non-invasive device. However, motion and optical blur may occur for some reasons such as finger movement and camera defocusing during finger-vein recognition, and such blurring occurrences may increase finger-vein recognition error. However, there has been no research on finger-vein recognition considering both motion and optical blur. Therefore, in this study, we propose a new method for increasing finger-vein recognition accuracy based on a network for the restoration of motion and optical blurring in a finger-vein image (RMOBF-Net). Our proposed network continuously maintains features that can be utilized during motion and optical blur restoration by actively using residual blocks and feature concatenation. Also, the architecture RMOBF-Net is optimized to the finger-vein image domain. Experimental results are based on two open datasets, the Shandong University homologous multi-modal traits finger-vein database and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University finger-image database version 1, from which equal error rates of finger-vein recognition accuracy of 4.290–5.779% and 2.465–6.663% were obtained, respectively. Higher performance was obtained from the proposed method compared with that of state-of-the-art methods.

Computer-aided diagnosis/detection (CADx) systems have been used to help doctors in improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment processes in many serious diseases such as breast cancer, brain stroke, lung cancer, and bone fracture. However, the performance of such systems has not been completely accurate. The key factor in CADx systems is to localize positive disease lesions from the captured medical images. This step is important as it is used not only to localize lesions but also to reduce the effect of noise and normal regions on the overall CADx system. In this research, we proposed a method to enhance the segmentation performance of thyroid nodules in ultrasound images based on information fusion of suggestion and enhancement segmentation networks. Experimental results with two open databases of thyroid digital image databases and 3DThyroid databases showed that our method resulted in a higher performance compared to current up-to-date methods.

To achieve full autonomy of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), obstacle detection and avoidance are indispensable parts of visual recognition systems. In particular, detecting transmission lines is an important topic due to the potential risk of accidents while operating at low altitude. Even though many studies have been conducted to detect transmission lines, there still remains many challenges due to their thin shapes in diverse backgrounds. Moreover, most previous methods require a significant level of human involvement to generate pixel-level ground truth data. In this paper, we propose a transmission line detection algorithm based on weakly supervised learning and unpaired image-to-image translation. The proposed algorithm only requires image-level labels, and a novel attention module, which is called parallel dilated attention (PDA), improves the detection accuracy by recalibrating channel importance based on the information from various receptive fields. Finally, we construct a refinement network based on unpaired image-to-image translation in order that the prediction map is guided to detect line-shaped objects. The proposed algorithm outperforms the state-of-the-art method by 2.74% in terms of F1-score, and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is effective for detecting transmission lines in both quantitative and qualitative aspects.

Social media has become an ideal platform for the propagation of rumors, fake news, and misinformation. Rumors on social media not only mislead online users but also affect the real world immensely. Thus, detecting the rumors and preventing their spread became an essential task. Some of the recent deep learning-based rumor detection methods, such as Bi-Directional Graph Convolutional Networks (Bi-GCN), represent rumor using the completed stage of the rumor diffusion and try to learn the structural information from it. However, these methods are limited to represent rumor propagation as a static graph, which isn't optimal for capturing the dynamic information of the rumors. In this study, we propose novel graph convolutional networks with attention mechanisms, named Dynamic GCN, for rumor detection. We first represent rumor posts with their responsive posts as dynamic graphs. The temporal information is used to generate a sequence of graph snapshots. The representation learning on graph snapshots with attention mechanism captures both structural and temporal information of rumor spreads. The conducted experiments on three real-world datasets demonstrate the superiority of Dynamic GCN over the state-of-the-art methods in the rumor detection task.

Most organs and tissues are composed of many types of cells. To characterize cellular state, various transcription profiling approaches are currently available, including whole-tissue bulk RNA sequencing, single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-Seq), and cell type-specific RNA sequencing. What is missing in this repertoire is a simple, versatile method for bulk transcriptional profiling of cell types for which cell type-specific genetic markers or antibodies are not readily available. We therefore developed Probe-Seq, which uses hybridization of gene-specific probes to RNA markers for isolation of specific types of cells, to enable downstream FACS isolation and bulk RNA sequencing. We show that this method can enable isolation and profiling of specific cell types from mouse retina, frozen human retina, Drosophila midgut, and developing chick retina, suggesting that it is likely useful for most organisms.

When images are acquired for finger-vein recognition, images with nonuniformity of illumination are often acquired due to varying thickness of fingers or nonuniformity of illumination intensity elements. Accordingly, the recognition performance is significantly reduced as the features being recognized are deformed. To address this issue, previous studies have used image preprocessing methods, such as grayscale normalization or score-level fusion methods for multiple recognition models, which may improve performance in images with a low degree of nonuniformity of illumination. However, the performance cannot be improved drastically when certain parts of images are saturated due to a severe degree of nonuniformity of illumination. To overcome these drawbacks, this study newly proposes a generative adversarial network for the illumination normalization of finger-vein images (INF-GAN). In the INF-GAN, a one-channel image containing texture information is generated through a residual image generation block, and finger-vein texture information deformed by the severe nonuniformity of illumination is restored, thus improving the recognition performance. The proposed method using the INF-GAN exhibited a better performance compared with state-of-the-art methods when the experiment was conducted using two open databases, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University finger-image database version 1, and the Shandong University homologous multimodal traits finger-vein database.

Age estimation is applicable in various fields, and among them, research on age estimation using human facial images, which are the easiest to acquire, is being actively conducted. Since the emergence of deep learning, studies on age estimation using various types of convolutional neural networks (CNN) have been conducted, and they have resulted in good performances, as clear images with high illumination were typically used in these studies. However, human facial images are typically captured in low-light environments. Age information can be lost in facial images captured in low-illumination environments, where noise and blur generated by the camera in the captured image reduce the age estimation performance. No study has yet been conducted on age estimation using facial images captured under low light. In order to overcome this problem, this study proposes a new generative adversarial network for low-light age estimation (LAE-GAN), which compensates for the brightness of human facial images captured in low-light environments, and a CNN-based age estimation method in which compensated images are input. When the experiment was conducted using the MORPH, AFAD, and FG-NET databases—which are open databases—the proposed method exhibited more accurate age estimation performance and brightness compensation in low-light images compared to state-of-the-art methods.

Recent transcriptional profiling technologies are uncovering previously-undefined cell populations and molecular markers at an unprecedented pace. While single cell RNA (scRNA) sequencing is an attractive approach for unbiased transcriptional profiling of all cell types, a complementary method to isolate and sequence specific cell populations from heterogeneous tissue remains challenging. Here, we developed Probe-Seq, which allows deep transcriptional profiling of specific cell types isolated using RNA as the defining feature. Dissociated cells are labeled using fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) for RNA, and then isolated by fluorescent activated cell sorting (FACS). We used Probe-Seq to purify and profile specific cell types from mouse, human, and chick retinas, as well as from Drosophila midguts. Probe-Seq is compatible with frozen nuclei, making cell types within archival tissue immediately accessible. As it can be multiplexed, combinations of markers can be used to create specificity. Multiplexing also allows for the isolation of multiple cell types from one cell preparation. Probe-Seq should enable RNA profiling of specific cell types from any organism.

Among many available biometrics identification methods, finger-vein recognition has an advantage that is difficult to counterfeit, as finger veins are located under the skin, and high user convenience as a non-invasive image capturing device is used for recognition. However, blurring can occur when acquiring finger-vein images, and such blur can be mainly categorized into three types. First, skin scattering blur due to light scattering in the skin layer; second, optical blur occurs due to lens focus mismatching; and third, motion blur exists due to finger movements. Blurred images generated in these kinds of blur can significantly reduce finger-vein recognition performance. Therefore, restoration of blurred finger-vein images is necessary. Most of the previous studies have addressed the restoration method of skin scattering blurred images and some of the studies have addressed the restoration method of optically blurred images. However, there has been no research on restoration methods of motion blurred finger-vein images that can occur in actual environments. To address this problem, this study proposes a new method for improving the finger-vein recognition performance by restoring motion blurred finger-vein images using a modified deblur generative adversarial network (modified DeblurGAN). Based on an experiment conducted using two open databases, the Shandong University homologous multi-modal traits (SDUMLA-HMT) finger-vein database and Hong Kong Polytechnic University finger-image database version 1, the proposed method demonstrates outstanding performance that is better than those obtained using state-of-the-art methods.

The conventional finger-vein recognition system is trained using one type of database and entails the serious problem of performance degradation when tested with different types of databases. This degradation is caused by changes in image characteristics due to variable factors such as position of camera, finger, and lighting. Therefore, each database has varying characteristics despite the same finger-vein modality. However, previous researches on improving the recognition accuracy of unobserved or heterogeneous databases is lacking. To overcome this problem, we propose a method to improve the finger-vein recognition accuracy using domain adaptation between heterogeneous databases using cycle-consistent adversarial networks (CycleGAN), which enhances the recognition accuracy of unobserved data. The experiments were performed with two open databases—Shandong University homologous multi-modal traits finger-vein database (SDUMLA-HMT-DB) and Hong Kong Polytech University finger-image database (HKPolyU-DB). They showed that the equal error rate (EER) of finger-vein recognition was 0.85% in case of training with SDUMLA-HMT-DB and testing with HKPolyU-DB, which had an improvement of 33.1% compared to the second best method. The EER was 3.4% in case of training with HKPolyU-DB and testing with SDUMLA-HMT-DB, which also had an improvement of 4.8% compared to the second best method.

Paclitaxel, a chemotherapy drug for solid tumors, induces peripheral painful neuropathy. Bee venom acupuncture (BVA) has been reported to have potent analgesic effects, which are known to be mediated by activation of spinal α-adrenergic receptor. Here, we investigated the effect of BVA on mechanical hyperalgesia and spinal neuronal hyperexcitation induced by paclitaxel. The role of spinal α-adrenergic receptor subtypes in the analgesic effect of BVA was also observed. Administration of paclitaxel (total 8 mg/kg, intraperitoneal) on four alternate days (days 0, 2, 4, and 6) induced significant mechanical hyperalgesic signs, measured using a von Frey filament. BVA (1 mg/kg, ST36) relieved this mechanical hyperalgesia for at least two hours, and suppressed the hyperexcitation in spinal wide dynamic range neurons evoked by press or pinch stimulation. Both melittin (0.5 mg/kg, ST36) and phospholipase A2 (0.12 mg/kg, ST36) were shown to play an important part in this analgesic effect of the BVA, as they significantly attenuated the pain. Intrathecal pretreatment with the α2-adrenergic receptor antagonist (idazoxan, 50 µg), but not α1-adrenergic receptor antagonist (prazosin, 30 µg), blocked the analgesic effect of BVA. These results suggest that BVA has potent suppressive effects against paclitaxel-induced neuropathic pain, which were mediated by spinal α2-adrenergic receptor.
