Research on fine motor skills in children has evolved considerably over the last 30 years. However, a scientometric analysis of these changes over time, along with an assessment of researchers’ networks and scientific productivity, is currently lacking. We conducted a scientometric analysis of the scientific literature on fine motor skills in preschool and school-aged children to evaluate key themes and trends over the past decades, thereby informing future research directions. We conducted a search in the Web of Science Core Collection from 1994 to 2024 utilizing pertinent keywords. The evolution of co-reference clusters and the performance of research networks across countries, institutions, and authors were analyzed using the Bibliometrix R package (v4.3.0) and CiteSpace (v6.4.R3). There has been an exponential growth in publications, showing a 7.5% annual increase from 2006 to 2021, and a positive correlation (R² = 0.89) between the publication year and output, indicating a promising trend in the field. The co-cited reference network analysis revealed 10 clusters in a well-structured network (Q = 0.835) with strong clustering reliability (S = 0.94). The primary research trends identifiedare: 1) the link between fine motor skills and academic achievement; and 2) the traits of fine motor impairment in children with neurodevelopmental disorders. The latest research trends in fine motor skills for children include developing assessment tools and interventions for both typically developing children and those with neurodevelopmental disorders.These findings can inform future directions for funding agencies and research groups.

Abstract Background Emergent endotracheal intubation (ETI) is a serious complication after Oesophagectomy. It is still unclear that perioperative risk factors and prognosis of these patients with ETI. Methods Between January 2015 and December 2018, 21 patients who received ETI after esophagectomy were enrolled (ETI group) at the department of thoracic surgery, Fujian Union hospital, China. Each study subject matched one patient who underwent the same surgery in the current era were included (control group). Patient characteristics and perioperative factors were collected. Results Patients with ETI were older than those without ETI (p = 0.022). The patients with history of smoking in ETI group were significantly more than those in control group (p = 0.013). The stay-time of postanesthesia care unit (PACU) in ETI group was significantly longer than that in control group (p = 0.001). The incidence of anastomotic leak or electrolyte disorder in ETI group was also higher than that in control group (p = 0.014; p = 0.002). Logistic regression analysis indicated history of smoke (HR 6.43, 95%CI 1.39–29.76, p = 0.017) and longer stay time of PACU (HR 1.04, 95%CI 1.01–1.83, p = 0.020) both were independently associated with higher risks of ETI. The 3-year overall survival (OS) rates were 47.6% in patients with ETI and 85.7% in patients without ETI (HR 4.72, 95%CI 1.31-17.00, p = 0.018). COX regression analysis indicated ETI was an independent risk factor affecting the OS. Conclusion The study indicated that history of smoking and longer stay-time in PACU both were independently associated with higher risks of ETI; and ETI was an independent risk factor affecting the OS of patients after esophagectomy. Abstract Gefitinib has been widely applied for the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). However, the long-term application of gefitinib usually leads to acquired drug resistance in tumour patients, resulting in clinical treatment failure. Small nucleolar host gene 17 (SNHG17) has been shown to play a regulatory role in LUAD progression. Nevertheless, the role of SNHG17 in LUAD gefitinib resistance remains elusive. The expression pattern of SNHG17 was examined in tissues and cell lines of gefitinib-sensitive and gefitinib-resistant LUAD, respectively. Gain- and loss-of-function experiments were employed to assess the biological functions of SNHG17 in cell proliferation and apoptosis, as well as aggressive phenotypes of LUAD cells. MeRIP-qPCR and colorimetric quantificational analysis were performed to detect m6A modifications and contents. Fluorescence in situ hybridisation (FISH) and subcellular fractionation analysis were used to reveal the distribution of SNHG17. RIP and ChIP assays were performed to further validate the SNHG17/EZH2/LATS2 regulatory axis. A xenograft tumour growth assay was conducted to evaluate the role of SNHG17 in LUAD gefitinib resistance in vivo. SNHG17 was upregulated in gefitinib-resistant LUAD tissues and cell lines. Functional assays showed that SNHG17 aggravated the malignant phenotypes of gefitinib-resistant LUAD cells. In addition, METTL3-mediated N6-methyladenosine modification could induce the upregulation of SNHG17by stabilising its RNA transcript. Mechanistically, SNHG17 epigenetically repressed the expression of LATS2 by recruiting EZH2 to the promoter region of LATS2. The regulatory role of the SNHG17/EZH2/LATS2 axis in LUAD gefitinib resistance was further supported in vivo. Collectively, our findings suggested that SNHG17 induced by METTL3 could promote LUAD gefitinib resistance by epigenetically repressing LATS2 expression.

The experiment aimed to establish a monochromatic wavelength excitation-energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (MW-EDXRF) method for determining iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), copper (Cu), and zinc (Zn) in feed and feed raw materials. Selected common feeds such as fish meal, soybean meal, soybeans, chickpeas, barley, sorghum, dry corn distiller's grains, cat food, and dog food as samples, used MW-EDXRF for measurement. After optimizing the pretreatment and analysis conditions, the linearity, accuracy and precision tests were carried out. The results showed that the linear regression coefficient R² of the standard curves established for the above four elements was greater than 0.99, and the detection limits (LOD) were 0.411, 0.404, 0.408, 0.387 mg/kg, respectively. The relative standard deviation (RSD) of the measurement was within 0.5 %. The measured values of the quality control samples are within the standard value range of the certificate. The study indicates that the method established in the experiment is simple, fast, reliable, and accurate, and is suitable for the detection of heavy metals in feed and feed raw materials. Abstract Background The prognosis of hospitalized patients after emergent endotracheal intubation (ETI) remains poor. Our aim was to evaluate the 30-d hospitalization mortality of subjects undergoing ETI during daytime or off-hours and to analyze the possible risk factors affecting mortality. Methods A single-center retrospective study was performed at a university teaching facility from January 2015 to December 2018. All adult inpatients who received ETI in the general ward were included. Information on patient demographics, vital signs, ICU (Intensive care unit) admission, intubation time (daytime or off-hours), the department in which ETI was performed (surgical ward or medical ward), intubation reasons, and 30-d hospitalization mortality after ETI were obtained from a database. Results Over a four-year period, 558 subjects were analyzed. There were more male than female in both groups (115 [70.1%] vs 275 [69.8%]; P = 0.939). A total of 394 (70.6%) patients received ETI during off-hours. The patients who received ETI during the daytime were older than those who received ETI during off-hours (64.95 ± 17.54 vs 61.55 ± 17.49; P = 0.037). The detection of ascorbic acid (AA), dopamine (DA), and uric acid (UA) is not only of great significance in the areas of biomedicine and neurochemistry but also helpful in disease diagnosis and pathology research. Due to their diverse structures, designability, and large specific surface areas, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have recently caught considerable attention in the electrochemical field. Herein, a family of heterometallic MOFs with amino modification, MIL-125(Ti-Al)-xNH2 (x = 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%), were synthesized and employed as electrochemical sensors for the detection of AA, DA, and UA. Among them, MIL-125(Ti-Al)-75%NH2 exhibited the most promising electrochemical behavior with 40% doping of carbon black in 0.1 M PBS (pH = 7.10), which displayed individual detection performance with wide linear detection ranges (1.0-6.5 mM for AA, 5-100 μM for DA and 5-120 μM for UA) and low limits of detection (0.215 mM for AA, 0.086 μM for DA, and 0.876 μM for UA, S/N = 3). Furthermore, the as-prepared MIL-125(Ti-Al)-75%NH2/GCE provided a promising platform for future application in real sample analysis, owing to its excellent anti-interference performance and good stability. Owing to the mass penetration of renewable energy (RE) in Japan, the replacement reserve for feed‐in tariff (RR‐FIT) was introduced in 2021. To promote the further introduction of RE, we attempted to provide reserve power value to the balancing market by controlling the headroom of photovoltaic (PV) power with a PV power plant as a research subject. At the planning stage, the information available is the predicted value, and PV prediction error always occur on the day. Therefore, in this research, we proposed an algorithm to determine the absorption of prediction errors headroom in PV output, thereby maximally reducing negative imbalance. In addition, we developed a statistical model, SVR model, and combined models to calculate and compare the number of imbalance spots and amount of imbalance. Accordingly, the proposed methods can significantly reduce imbalance compared to planning with predicted values, without setting the headroom of prediction errors. © 2023 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. To realize Carbon Neutrality, renewable energy would be the main source of electricity, such as photovoltaic (PV) power generation in the Japanese power system. However, a decrease in the number of operating thermal generators, the main source of balancing power in the Japanese balancing market, is causing concerns regarding a shortage of balancing power in the future. PV can therefore provide balancing power in addition to energy; thus, the PV power economic value in electricity markets will become diversified. A solution examination and rationality analysis of technical issues for PV‐based balancing power creation are needed. Here, by applying the proposed headroom control method based on the PV output curtailment beforehand, PV generator optimizes benefit by bidding into the balancing market when the spot market price is very low. Optimizing the bidding strategy on the spot market and balancing market is conducted, and battery integration is also considered.
