In the current work, Cu(I)1.28Cu(II)0.36Se nanoparticles were synthesized via a simple procedure and were applied for the first time for recognition, adsorption, enrichment, and detection of Hg(II) ions. The experimental results show that 99.9% Hg(II) could be adsorbed by Cu(I)1.28Cu(II)0.36Se nanoparticles within just 30 s, and the Hg(II) concentration could be lowered down to a super-low level of 0.01 ppb. Cu(I)1.28Cu(II)0.36Se nanoparticles also demonstrate high selectivity to Hg(II) and Ag(I) among nine representative metal ions. The enrichment experiments show that Hg(II) of ultratrace concentration could be enriched significantly by Cu(I)1.28Cu(II)0.36Se nanoparticles, and thus, the detection limit of Hg(II) based on inductively coupled plasma emission spectroscopy-mass spectrometry would be pushed down by 2 orders of magnitude. These outstanding features of Cu(I)1.28Cu(II)0.36Se nanoparticles could be well accounted for in terms of the solubility product principle and the high affinity between selenium and mercury. Cu(I)1.28Cu(II)0.36Se nanoparticles were also found to have peroxidase-like activity, which could be inhibited by Hg(II) but not by Ag(I). This unique characteristic coupled with the solubility product principle successfully allows recognition and detection of Hg(II) even in the presence of Ag(I), which has a similar pKsp to Hg(II). As a result, the qualitative and quantitative analyses of Hg(II) could be performed by the naked eye and UV-visible spectroscopy, respectively. The current results indicate that Cu(I)1.28Cu(II)0.36Se nanoparticles not only have great potential in various aspects of dealing with Hg(II) pollution but would also shed light on discovering new nanomaterials to address other heavy metal ions.

We report a portable and highly sensitive Hg2+ nanosensor, where the CuS nanozyme functions as an Hg2+ recognition unit, a Hg2+ enrichment/preconcentration carrier, and a signal amplifier/output unit. The as-designed enrichment-detection integration strategy is customizable and endows the sensor with both a wide detection range from 50 ppt to 400 ppb and a high sensitivity with a minimum detectable Hg2+ concentration of 50 ppt. In order to make the Hg2+ nanosensor portable and cost-effective, a commercial RGB sensor is employed here in conjunction with the Hg2+-dependent colorimetric reaction. Assisted reproductive technology has continued to develop in recent years, the technology has become more and more mature, and it has improved the total gestational age of the population. Assisted reproductive technology has improved twin pregnancy rates with the use of ovulation-inducing drugs. The risk factor of twins is much higher than singletons, and adverse pregnancy outcomes such as stillbirth and premature birth are more likely to occur than singletons, especially the special complications of monochorionic twins (MC), and the neonatal mortality and morbidity are also increased. Prenatal diagnosis and prognosis of twin pregnancy, as well as therapeutic interventions, are of current concern. Ultrasound can realize the understanding of intrauterine growth and development of twin pregnancy fetuses during pregnancy, can more accurately determine gestational age, organ function, and maturity, and timely detect fetal growth and development abnormalities in twin pregnancy, while the prognosis and treatment still need further improvement. The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical value and treatment progress of prenatal ultrasound monitoring in twin pregnancy.

Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is mainly caused by mutations in the PKD1 (~85%) or PKD2 (~15%) gene which, respectively, encode polycystin-1 (PC1) and polycystin-2 (PC2). How PC1 regulates cell proliferation and apoptosis has been studied for decades but the underlying mechanisms remain controversial. Protein kinase RNA-activated (PKR) is activated by interferons or double-stranded RNAs, inhibits protein translation, and induces cell apoptosis. In a previous study, we found that PC1 reduces apoptosis through suppressing the PKR/eIF2α signaling. Whether and how PKR is involved in PC1-inhibited proliferation and protein synthesis remains unknown. Here we found that knockdown of PKR abolishes PC1-inhibited proliferation and translation. Because suppressed PKR-eIF2α signaling/activity by PC1 would stimulate, rather than inhibit, the proliferation and translation, we examined the effect of dominant negative PKR mutant K296R that has no kinase activity and found that it enhances the inhibition of proliferation and translation by PC1. Thus, our study showed that inhibition of cell proliferation and protein synthesis by PC1 is mediated by the total expression but not the kinase activity of PKR, possibly through physical association.

This work reports fabrication of a novel 3D sponge-like CuS aerogel (CuS AG) at room temperature by self-assembly of CuS nanocrystals and its application in recognition, capture and enrichment of mercury ions. The structure of CuS AG was characterized by SEM, TEM, XRD, FTIR and N2 adsorption − desorption isotherms, and its physicochemical properties were investigated by ICP-OES, ICP-MS, XPS, EDS elemental mapping and estimation of typical thermodynamic parameters. The highly porous Cu-S network structure has a large specific surface area (159 m2 g−1), a large pore volume (0.50 cm3 g−1) as well as abundant surface Cu-S sites and ion channels. As a result, CuS AG not only exhibits superior selectivity towards Hg2+ ions among other interfering metal ions via surface substitution reaction, but also demonstrates unprecedented capture capacity (3667 mg g−1) and superfast capture kinetics (99% removal within 30 s). These unique features endow CuS AG with a wide working range of pH (2–10) and temperature (0-45 °C) as well as suitability for practical complex samples. CuS AG was used as a new type of extracting materials for convenient enrichment and separation of ultratrace Hg2+ even at ppt level, achieving an enriching factor as high as 260. The current work may open a new avenue to the design and fabrication of high performance materials for recognition, adsorption, enrichment, separation and sensing of metal ions as well as catalysis, energy storage and bioapplications.

We for the first time proposed a sandwich mode recognition approach for heavy metal ions based on the solubility product principle, i.e., a metal sulfide with a high solubility product is paired with a metal sulfide with a low solubility product to selectively identify a target heavy metal ion with an intermediate solubility product. A class of nitrogenous porous carbon materials (OAMPCs) has been successfully fabricated for the enrichment of ultra-trace hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) in real water samples. The obtained optimal nitrogenous porous carbon material (OAMPC-700) has a porous curled graphene-like carbon-nanosheets morphology, large surface area (506.4 m2 g−1) and large pore volume (2.49 cm3 g−1), as well as abundant oxygen- and nitrogen-containing functional groups. Based on such unique structural characteristics, OAMPC-700 exhibits rapid uptake kinetics (99.2% HCH within just 1 min) and a superior maximum capacity (751.6 mg g−1). After six cycles of tests, OAMPC-700 still maintains a 94.27% removal percentage towards HCH, which is only 5.53% lower than that of original OAMPC-700, demonstrating the outstanding reusability. OAMPC-700 was applied to pre-enrich ultra-trace HCH from water sample with a portable enrichment equipment, demonstrating fast speed, high efficiency, and low energy consumption. Corresponding standard curves were obtained between enrichment (Cen) and initial (Cin) concentrations of HCH with a correlation coefficient (R2 =0.9901), significantly pushing down the detection limit of common analytical instruments. The enrichment mechanism for OAMPC-700 towards HCH mainly includes the synergism of hydrophobicity and hydrogen-bonding. This work may open a new avenue to the fabrication of unique carbon materials for the adsorption, enrichment, separation, and ultimate detection of ultra-trace organic pollutants.

The illegal use of electronic seals has the potential to harm both the contracting parties and the country's economy. This paper studies the phylogenetic relationship between government regulatory bodies and enterprise behaviors through the payoff matrix and an evolutionary game model. According to both the equilibrium point and stability of the game's dynamic replication relationship phase diagram, this paper analyzes the incentive effects of the legal use of management costs and the illegal use of economic penalties, government regulatory costs, and credit ratings on the use of electronic seals. The results show that the steady state does not exist as a time extension of government supervision and standardize the behaviors of electronic seal enterprises. In addition, the selection specification evolutionary path using electronic seals is different based on the different initial conditions. The use of the restricted speed and the evolutionary result not only depends on the choice of the enterprise's standard initial probability of usage behavior but also on the initial probability of government departmental supervision. This occurs without using any means of supervision and penalty measures under the conditions that all enterprises tend to choose not to regulate the use of the electronic seal. Due to regulation with a low probability of no significant effect of the standard, the need to reach a certain level of supervision to regulate the use of electronic seals was improved. The government simply increasing the penalty is not an effective solution since the electronic seal does not regulate the problematic use of credit rating factors. On the one hand, it reduces the probability of government regulations, and on the other hand, it greatly improves the standard probability of the use of electronic seals. Finally, conclusions are based on the governmental point of view to promote the use of electronic seal specification recommendations.

A portable Hg[Formula: see text]nanosensor was developed based on the colorimetric reaction by using the unmodified Ag nanowires (Ag NWs). Ag NWs were synthesized by a solvothermal method, with the length longer than 20[Formula: see text][Formula: see text]m and the diameter of [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]nm. The colorimetric assay can be affected by pH, temperature and the amount of Ag NWs, with the optimum parameters being 5, [Formula: see text]C and 100[Formula: see text][Formula: see text]L, respectively. The developed nanosensor presents excellent selectivity for Hg[Formula: see text]. The dynamic detection range is 25[Formula: see text]5000 ppb, and the limit of detection (LOD) for Hg[Formula: see text] is 19.9[Formula: see text]ppb. The developed Hg[Formula: see text] sensor shows great potentials in environmental monitoring and onsite analysis of Hg[Formula: see text].

Mutations in polycystin-1 (PC1) account for ∼85% of ADPKD. Here, we showed that wild-type (WT) or mutant PC1 composed of the last five transmembrane (TM) domains and the C-terminus (termed PC1-5TMC) inhibits cell proliferation and protein translation, as well as the downstream effectors of mTOR, consistent with previous reports. Knockdown of B56α, a subunit of the protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) complex, or application of PP2A inhibitor okadaic acid or calyculin A, abolished the inhibitory effect of PC1 and PC1-5TMC on proliferation, indicating that PP2A/B56α mediates the regulation of cell proliferation by PC1. In addition to the phosphorylated S6 and 4EBP1, B56α was also downregulated by PC1 and PC1-5TMC. Furthermore, the downregulation of B56α, which may be mediated by mTOR but not AKT, can account for the dependence of PC1-inhibited proliferation on PP2A.

With the widely acceptance of e-commerce, the consumer's use of online reviews after shopping on e-commerce platforms is getting more frequent. The online reviews attract a lot of attention from the researchers in recent years. However, most of the researches do not consider the difference on the type of data structure of online reviews and the types of hotel. To this end, this paper categorizes the online review into structured data type and unstructured data type, and comparatively analyzes the customer types, customer satisfaction and the online review data structure of different types of hotel accordingly. Natural language processing techniques are used to analyze the unstructured data, mainly comments in textual format. Key words from comments are extracted, and the levels of customer's concerns in the comments are calculated using term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF). The results show the difference on data characteristics of online review for different hotel types.

CRISPR-Cas9 systems are bacterial adaptive immune systems that defend against infection by phages. Through the RNA-guided endonuclease activity of Cas9 they degrade double-stranded DNA with a protospacer adjacent motif (PAM) and sequences complementary to the guide RNA. Recently, two anti-CRISPR proteins (AcrIIA2 and AcrIIA4 from Listeria monocytogenes prophages) were identified, both of which inhibit Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 (SpyCas9) and L. monocytogenes Cas9 activity in bacteria and human cells. However, the mechanism of AcrIIA2- or AcrIIA4-mediated Cas9 inhibition remains unknown. Here we report a crystal structure of SpyCas9 in complex with a single-guide RNA (sgRNA) and AcrIIA4. Our data show that AcrIIA2 and AcrIIA4 interact with SpyCas9 in a sgRNA-dependent manner. The structure reveals that AcrIIA4 inhibits SpyCas9 activity by structurally mimicking the PAM to occupy the PAM-interacting site in the PAM-interacting domain, thereby blocking recognition of double-stranded DNA substrates by SpyCas9. AcrIIA4 further inhibits the endonuclease activity of SpyCas9 by shielding its RuvC active site. Structural comparison reveals that formation of the AcrIIA4-binding site of SpyCas9 is induced by sgRNA binding. Our study reveals the mechanism of SpyCas9 inhibition by AcrIIA4, providing a structural basis for developing 'off-switch' tools for SpyCas9 to avoid unwanted genome edits within cells and tissues.

Repetition pulse with sub-microsecond arising time, high voltage and large current, has been widely utilized in the field of production and scientific research, in which the gas spark switch is usually selected. However, due to the recovery property of gas ionization, it is hard to get the repeated switch-on and switch-off at a high rate towards the conventional gas spark switch. Owing to the reliably triggering and faster arising time, the hydrogen thyratron is found to be more suitable for the switch to generate the repetition pulse at a high rate. In this paper we proposed a novel design of repetition pulse, in which it get a several times high voltage output based on the inductive-adder, by using the hydrogen thyratron switch with an operating voltage, and then we analyze the magnetic field distribution under the structure of the coaxial cable and describe the design of high voltage repetition pulse in details.

It is the trend that Business to Business (B2B) has been becoming the mainstream of e-commerce. With more and more concentration on this field, however, recent research has not defined what the B2B website user satisfaction is and how to evaluate it clearly. Also, traditional scales, such as User Information Satisfaction (UIS), End- User Computer Satisfaction (EUCS) and Customer Information Satisfaction (CIS), are just focus on the Information System (IS) environment, but not fit to the B2B e-commerce environment very well. This article establishes "a Scale of B2B E-commerce Website Customer Satisfaction" (B2B-ECWCS) with five-dimension, explores the impact factors of B2B-ECWCS, proposes formula for calculating B2B-ECWCS, and finally tests Alibaba’s customer satisfaction.

As a strategic emerging industry, e-commerce plays an important role in transforming China's economic development model. At the city level, promoting the development of e-commerce is also regarded as the favourable mean to improve the urban comprehensive competitiveness level. Due to the convenience and ubiquity of m-commerce, it has already become the new direction of e-commerce. Considering that m-commerce data cannot be totally removed from traditional e-commerce data in local government statistics, this paper studies the key problems of e-commerce development of China's urban cities through the empirical analysis on e-commerce competitiveness of demonstration cities. Also through the correlation analysis of the development of m-commerce and e-commerce, it is considered that m-commerce is an important contribution to the development of e-commerce. Finally, the paper helps government to make more effective and targeted e-commerce development strategy, especially in m-commerce, to promote urban economic growth and comprehensive strength.

International logistics plays an important role in cross-border electronic commerce CBEC. In this study, factors affecting international logistics performance and their structural relationships were investigated through a questionnaire survey, which used the methods of confirmatory factor analysis CFA and structural equation modelling. The result shows that the independent factor, laws and regulations, affects international logistics performance, with cross-border payments, electronic clearance and technology application level being mediating factors in the relationship. The results imply that government should set laws and regulations to ensure CBEC order, especially under the condition of virtual market.
