Depression is the second leading-cause of disability in China. Although studies have shown that more than 80% of patients with advanced schistosomiasis (AS) suffer from anxiety and depression, these study groups are all hospitalized patients with AS and do not represent the extent of the disease in the whole group. To our knowledge, there are no studies assessing the severity of depression in patients with other forms of schistosomiasis japonicum. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the occurrence and potential risk factors of depression in the schistosomiasis endemic population. This cross-sectional study was conducted in Jiangxi Province, where schistosomiasis is relatively common in China, as the investigation site. The Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) scale was selected to assess the depressive symptoms in the study population. At the same time, basic personal information of the research subjects and relevant socio-economics and schistosomiasis endemic area indicators were collected. The survey results show that AS has the highest incidence of depression (34.35%), while non-advanced schistosomiasis (N-AS) and control group (CG) have 22.35% and 22.24% respectively; the incidence of depression in AS is significantly higher than in N-AS and CG, while there is no statistical significance in the comparison between N-AS and CG; the incidence of mild depressive symptoms accounts for 61.08%-75.54% of the total incidence of depression in different groups; multivariate analysis shows that the occurrence of moderate/severe depressive symptoms in the AS group was significantly related to above 60 years old, male, the combination of other serious diseases, personal financial difficulties, and marshland and lake endemic areas. In the N-AS group, the occurrence of moderate/severe depressive symptoms was significantly related to the combination of other serious diseases, personal financial difficulties, significant correlation between marshland and lake endemic areas and the level of control of schistosomiasis epidemics. In conclusion, depression is still relatively common among patients with schistosomiasis patients, especially those with AS. It is recommended that the government and relevant departments consider mental health care when developing prevention and control work in schistosomiasis-endemic areas, in order to effectively protect the physical and mental health of schistosomiasis patients and residents in endemic areas. The study of the spatiotemporal evolution of regional development plays a vital role in regional coordination and sustainable development, and analyzing the characteristics of the spatiotemporal evolution of regional development in Jiangxi Province is of great significance for its deep integration into the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and Fujian, and its active undertaking of industries in developed regions. Based on the National Polar-orbiting Partnership–Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (NPP-VIIRS)-like nighttime lighting data from 2003 to 2022, this paper explores and discusses the nighttime lighting data as an effective indicator of regional development from the perspective of Jiangxi Province as a whole, using correlation analysis and multiple linear regression. Meanwhile, the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of regional development in Jiangxi Province are explored by using spatial autocorrelation, hotspot analysis, standard deviation ellipse, and other research methods in 100 counties in Jiangxi Province. The results show the following: (1) The nighttime lighting data in Jiangxi Province shows a strong positive correlation with gross domestic product (GDP) and total population data, with correlation coefficients R2 of 0.957 and 0.896, respectively. (2) The GDP and total population of Jiangxi Province significantly impact nighttime lighting, and the regression model R2 reaches 0.983, indicating that the class NPP-VIIRS nighttime lighting data has an excellent explanatory ability for the regional development of Jiangxi Province. (3) The global autocorrelation index of nighttime lighting in each county in Jiangxi Province shows a significant positive correlation level. However, the value of this index still shows a gradually decreasing trend, indicating that the spatial heterogeneity is gradually increasing. As a whole, the hotspots in Jiangxi Province are mainly dominated by the city of Nanchang and supplemented by Ganzhou city, showing the development of two centers in the north and south. (4) The change in the trajectory of the center of gravity migration from 2003 to 2011 is also more apparent, with greater changes in the direction of regional development in Jiangxi Province. In the period 2012–2022, the direction of regional development is more stable, and the change in the migration of the center of gravity tends to be stable, indicating that the direction of regional development is clear at this stage, and there is little change in the overall direction of the economy and centripetal force. The study results provide important clues for an in-depth understanding of the regional development law in Jiangxi Province and are of some reference significance for relevant decision-making and planning. ObjectiveTo understand the level of professional knowledge of hepatitis C prevention and control among practicing clinicians in Jiangxi province, and to provide a reference for targeted training and development of in-hospital hepatitis C case screening and management policies. MethodsUsing stratified cluster sampling and the questionnaire of the "National Implementation Plan for Hepatitis C Knowledge Awareness Rate Survey" developed by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, we conducted an on-site anonymous survey of 752 practicing clinicians aged 21 – 60 years in 10 hospitals in 5 counties and districts of Jiangxi province from August 2021 to May 2022. Participants who correctly answered 12 out of 16 questions on hepatitis C detection, diagnosis, and treatment from the questionnaire were classified as having professional knowledge of hepatitis C prevention and control. A multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the associated factors influencing hepatitis C awareness among clinicians. ResultsAmong 751 participants with valid responses, 17.0% were assessed as having professional knowledge of hepatitis C prevention and control, with lower proportions of participants correctly answering "diagnostic classification of hepatitis C cases" (7.0%), "diagnostic basis for clinical diagnosis of hepatitis C cases" (7.0%), and "correct practices after diagnosis of hepatitis C cases" (33.9%). Compared with surgeons, clinicians working in infectious disease departments (odds ratio [OR] = 8.308, 95% confidence interval [95%CI]: 3.746 – 18.427) and internal medicine departments (OR = 1.855, 95%CI: 1.011 – 3.406) were more likely to have higher awareness of professional knowledge. Compared to those with a bachelor′s degree, clinicians with a master's degree or higher were more likely to have a higher awareness of professional knowledge (OR = 1.750, 95%CI: 1.157 – 2.647). ConclusionsThe awareness level of professional knowledge on hepatitis C prevention and control is low and mainly influenced by work department and education among practicing clinicians in Jiangxi province.

Background Stroke is a chronic condition that seriously impairs human health. The correlation between rainfall and onset of stroke remains unclear. Objective To analyze the correlation between rainfall and stroke admissions in Nanchang City, and to provide scientific references for developing a comprehensive prevention and treatment strategy for stroke. Methods Stroke admission data from Nanchang City (2015-2019) from the digital-related group (DRG) system of the Jiangxi Provincial Health Commission Information Center were collected. In addition, atmospheric pollutant data from the national urban air quality real-time release platform and meteorological data from the Nanchang meteorological base station were collected. Basic characteristics of stroke admission patients, air pollutants, and meteorological factors were analyzed. Spearman rank correlation analysis was performed to identify the correlation of case number of stroke admissions with air pollutants and atmospheric factors. The Hongjiang—Qianshan fault has abundant medium-low temperature geothermal resources. However, the excessive fluorine concentration in geothermal groundwater restricts the development and utilization of geothermal resources. 20 samples were collected in this region for identifying the genetic mechanism of medium-low temperature of fluoride-enriched geothermal resources. The hydrochemical results indicate that the hydrochemical characteristic of high fluoride geothermal groundwater is HCO3-Na. The groundwater environment is alkaline and weakly alkaline. The fluoride concentration in geothermal groundwater is 2−12 times greater than the upper limited value, while those in the surface water and shallow groundwater are within the permittable threshold range. The isotopic results reveal that the recharge elevations and circulation depth are 797−2186m and 893−1893m, respectively. Quartz provides the most reliable estimations of reservoir temperatures, ranging from 79.4℃ to 113.1℃. The fluoride in geothermal groundwater originates from the rock weathering and mineral dissolution. Cation exchange and alkaline condition are the main influence factors for fluorine enrichment. The increasing intensity of human activity is exposing more people and property in hill regions to geohazards (including rockfall, landslide, debris flow, et al.). In tectonically weak and humid (TWH) hilly areas, such as the Jiangxi Province, a large proportion of the losses in geohazards are caused by cut slope house-building (CSHB) landslides. The house is the "first line of defense" of a household against geohazards. However, previous studies mainly studied cut slope landslides themselves to reduce disaster losses, but few conducted analyses from the perspective of house damage. Considering the situation, this study makes an inventory of house damage information related to CSHB landslides in Jiangxi Province from 2019 to 2022 and analyzes the house damage characteristics, effects of influencing factors on house damage, and prevention suggestions in TWH hilly areas. Some main findings can be summarized as follows: (i) The main house with a brick-concrete structure will not collapse under the influence of 81.07% cut slope landslides; (ii) the first floor needs to be reinforced due to its high frequency of damage; (iii) the ancillary houses should be placed in front of the main house or on diagonal sides away from the cut slope and should not be set up as high-activity functional areas; (iv) the kitchen is the functional area with the most severe damage closely related to layout pattern and stability characteristics. Orf is a zoonosis caused by the Orf virus (ORFV), which is endemic in goats, sheep, and wild ruminants worldwide. Orf infection is prevalent in China, with outbreaks reported in several provinces. Currently, there is limited information available regarding the characterization of ORFV strains in Jiangxi province. This study investigated an acute outbreak of Orf that occurred in 2021 in a goat herd in the Jiangxi province of China. Clinical signs in this case included lesions on the lips, nose, and inside the mouth. The presence of ORFV was confirmed from tissue samples by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The nucleotide sequences of the B2L and F1L genes were fully sequenced and used to construct phylogenetic trees. The results of this investigation identified the ORFV JXxy2021 as the cause of the outbreak. The phylogenetic analysis revealed that the ORFV strain JXxy2021 had the highest similarity to the ORFV strains GO and FJ-SL from the neighboring province of Fujian. This suggests that JXxy2021 was likely transmitted from Fujian province. The results have provided valuable information on the genetic characteristics of JXxy2021 and the endemic situations of Orf in China. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

[Objective] This study aims to investigate the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of rural settlements in Jiangxi Province, and to analyze the influencing factors. The findings can serve as reference and decision-making basis for promoting the national rural revitalization strategy, optimizing territorial spatial planning, and enhancing rural governance. [Methods] The spatiotemporal evolution of rural settlements in Jiangxi Province from 2000 to 2020 was examined by using landscape pattern indices, kernel density analysis, and gravity shift model. The buffer analysis and geographic detection were employed to explore the influencing factors. [Results] (1) The number of rural settlements in Jiangxi Province decreased, but their scale expanded over rime. The variation between different settlement scales initially increased and then decreased, while the irregularity of settlement patterns remained generally low. (2) While the overall change in rural settlement distribution in Jiangxi Province was modest, significant spatial differences were observed. The pattern exhibited a spatial distribution of dense pattern in the middle and sparse on all sides, dense pattern in the north and sparse in the south. (3) The center of gravity of rural settlements in Jiangxi Province remained relatively stable over the past two decades, consistently located in the southwest of Fengcheng City. (4) Rural settlements in Jiangxi Province were mainly found in areas with elevations below 200 m and slopes between 5° and 15°. They were notably influenced by rivers, county and township roads, while railways, highways, national roads and provincial roads had minimal impact. Among socio-economic factors, the output value of grain crops, rural residents′ the consumption expenditure, and cultivated land area had the most significant influence. [Conclusion] The spatiotemporal evolution of rural settlements in Jiangxi Province remained stable during 2000—2020. Jingmen tick virus (JMTV) is a newly identified segmented flavivirus that has been recognized in multiple hosts, such as humans, buffalos, bats, rodents, mosquitos and ticks. Various clinical cases and studies manifested that JMTV is a true arbovirus with wide host spectrum and showed potential threats toward public health. JMTV has been reported in multiple countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, and America. Moreover, wild boars serve as an important intermediary between humans and the wild ecological system. In China, it has been reported in nine provinces, while the prevalence and the distribution of JMTV in most regions including Jiangxi Province are still unknown. Thus, to profile the distribution of JMTV in Jiangxi Province, an epidemiological investigation was carried out from 2020 to 2022. In current study, 66 ticks were collected from 17 wild boars in Jiangxi Province. The results showed that 12 out of 66 ticks were JMTV positive, indicating JMTV is prevalent in ticks and boars in Jiangxi Province. The genome sequences of JMTV strain WY01 were sequenced to profile viral evolution of JMTV in China. Phylogenetic analysis divided JMTV strains into two genotypes, Group I and Group II. WY01 belongs to Group II and it shares the closest evolutionary relationship with the Japan strains rather than the strains from neighboring provinces in China suggesting that JMTV might have complex transmission routes. Overall, current study, for the first time, reported that JMTV is prevalent in Jiangxi Province and provided additional information concerning JMTV distribution and evolution in China. ObjectiveTo provide a scientific basis to establish further prevention and control strategies， the epidemiological characteristics of foodborne disease outbreaks from 2012 to 2021 in Jiangxi Province was analyzed.MethodsDescriptive analysis was conducted using foodborne disease outbreak data obtained from the Foodborne Disease Outbreak Reporting System for Jiangxi Province from 2012 to 2021.ResultsFrom 2012 to 2021， a total of 1 285 cases， 7，222 illnesses， and 48 deaths due to foodborne disease outbreaks occurred in Jiangxi Province. The case fatality rate was 0.66% （48/7 222）. Further， the mortality rates were found to statistically significantly differ among the different years （P≤0.001）. The number of foodborne disease outbreaks tended to increase within the 10 years， and most incidents occurred from May to September. Among the 768 confirmed single etiologic agents， poisonous mushroom was the cause of most incidents （50.78%； 390/768） and deaths （93.75%； 45/48）. Microbiological agents were responsible for most illnesses （49.41%； 2 266/4 586）. Salmonella and Vibrio parahaemolyticus were identified as the main pathogenic bacteria. Foodborne disease outbreaks mainly occurred among families and in catering services， with families having the largest number of incidents （64.75%； 832/285） and deaths （95.83%； 46/48）. Notably， the main pathogenic factor was poisonous mushrooms. Catering services were associated with the largest number of illnesses （51.77%； 3 739/7 222）， with microbiological agents as the main pathogenic factor.ConclusionPoisonous mushrooms caused the most deaths and mainly affected families. Microbial pathogenic factors were the main pathogenic factors in places offering catering services and schools. Rural families should be educated on the harm associated with the consumption of wild mushroom. Moreover， the supervision and management of food safety and health education should be promoted to reduce the incidence of foodborne disease and death.

Objective: To investigate the screening results and compliance of low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) screening among the high-risk lung cancer populations in Jiangxi Province from 2018 to 2020, and to explore the related influencing factors of compliance. Methods: From November 2018 to October 2020, permanent residents in Nanchang City were selected and their demographic data and lung cancer risk factor data were collected to screen high-risk groups, and LDCT screening was performed on high-risk groups with diagnostic reports by 2 chief physicians. Descriptive analysis method was used to analyze the basic information of screening, screening results and screening compliance. Χ² and logistic regression test were used to conduct single andmulti-factor analysis of screening compliance. Results: A total of 26,588 people participated in this screening, of which 34.4% (n=9,139) were at high risk of lung cancer, 3,773 participants were completed LDCT screening, and the screening compliance rate was 41.3%. Screening results showed that 389 participants were positive for suspected pulmonary tumor or lung nodules, the screening positive rate of 10.3%. The logistic multivariable results of screening compliance showed that the compliance was better in males, those who quit smoking, those with chronic respiratory diseases and family history of cancer, and those who have primary education, those with a history of occupational harmful exposure had a poor compliance. Conclusion: Compliance with lung cancer screening in Jiangxi Province, China still needs to be improved, and gender, education level, harmful occupational exposure, smoking, chronic respiratory diseases, and family history of tumors cancer play an important role on screening compliance. Based on the investigation of the current situation of agricultural green development in Jiangxi Province, this paper expounds the development process and achievements in agricultural green development system, agricultural resource protection, low-carbon industry construction and other aspects, and analyzes the existing problems and deficiencies in agricultural industry structure, scientific and technological service level, characteristic industry development, green brand building and other aspects. The feasible suggestions for better and faster development of green agriculture were discussed from the optimization of industrial structure, expansion of the scale of operation, improvement of the quality and quantity of agricultural products, strengthening the restoration of ecological function, increasing the introduction of talents, innovation of green development mode and other aspects, in order to provide reference for speeding up the green development of agriculture in Jiangxi and even the whole country. Climate change significantly impacts ecological resistance and ecological corridors. However, the difficulty in evaluating this impact lies in two crucial issues: (i) the uncertainty arising from spatial heterogeneity, and (ii) the diversity of impacts arising from this uncertainty. A set pair analysis (SPA) model is designed to assess the impact of climate change on ecological resistance and ecological corridors for addressing the aforementioned problems. First, the ecological resistance and corridors under different climate change scenarios are simulated. Then, the five-element connection number is used to reflect changes in ecological resistance and corridors influenced by climate change and uncertainty. Finally, the influence indices are constructed to quantify the three distinct impacts of climate change on them. The evaluation results for Jiangxi Province are as follows. (i) The province’s UR index values are 0.085, 0.127, 0.351, 0.501, and 0.468 under five climate change scenarios, respectively. The impact of climate change on ecological resistance is rapidly deteriorating, and the central region is the high-value center for future ecological resistance. (ii) The values of UC in the central and southern regions range from − 0.568 to − 0.320 and from − 0.816 to − 0.446, respectively. In the two regions, the assessments of the impact of climate change on ecological corridors are negative, which results in a reduction in connectivity. (iii) The crucial meteorological risks with the greatest impact on ecological resistance and corridors are floods and high-temperature disasters. (iv) The proposals for Jiangxi Province to address climate change are as follows: enhancing flood prevention, improving high-temperature monitoring, and establishing an ecological management system. (v) The SPA model can effectively assess the different impacts of climate change with spatial uncertainty on ecological resistance and corridors.

High-speed railway (HSR) networks have profoundly influenced interregional accessibility and economic linkages. This study examined 100 counties (cities) and districts in Jiangxi Province, using spatial and temporal data to measure weighted average travel time, daily accessibility, the accessibility coefficient, and the total and intensity of economic linkages. This study analyzed the impacts of operating a single HSR line versus an entire network. The findings revealed that (1) the HSR network has created a balanced spatial–temporal convergence effect, narrowing the gap between most locations and showing a clear “corridor effect”; (2) the network has strengthened economic connections among counties and has significantly enhanced overall economic output by creating two high-level economic linkage belts, formed around the Shanghai–Kunming and Beijing–Hong Kong HSRs; and (3) the network amplifies the “Siphon effect” and “Matthew effect,” further disadvantaging non-connected regions. Therefore, the province should promote a well-designed, HSR network, enhancing economic exchanges among counties and fostering a high-level economic belt characterized by diversity, complementary advantages, and coordinated development.

Objective To understand the molecular characteristics of Streptomycin (SM) resistance in multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) in Jiangxi Province, and to explore the relationship between SM resistant genes (rpsL, rrs and gidB) mutations and SM resistant phenotypes in Beijing genotype TB. Methods 106 non-replicated MDR-TB isolates were collected from Gaoxin Branch of The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University and Jiangxi Provincial Chest Hospital from January to December 2021, and tested for drug-resistance phenotypes, whether they were Beijing genotype or not and the characteristics of rpsL, rrs and gidB gene mutations. Chi-square test was performed to determine whether rpsL, rrs and gidB mutations were related to genotypes and drug-resistance phenotypes. Results Among 106 cases of MDR-TB, 76 cases were resistant to SM. A total of 58 cases had rpsL 43A > G mutation, 8 cases had 88A > G mutation, 5 cases had rrs mutation, and 3 cases had gidB mutation. Statistical analysis showed that the coincidence rate of gene mutation and phenotypic drug-resistance detection was 89.6%, and the specificity and sensitivity were 86.7% and 90.8%, respectively. The isolated rate of Beijing genotype TB was 88.7%, and the drug-resistant gene mutations were mainly concentrated in rpsL and rrs, while the drug-resistant mutations of non-Beijing genotype were mainly concentrated in gidB；in addition, Beijing genotype bacteria were more prone to gene mutations (P = 0.013), but there was no difference in phenotypic drugresistance. Conclusions Mutations in rpsL, rrs, and gidB genes have a good coincidence rate with phenotypic drug-resistance, and molecular biology can be used to detect directly drug-resistance genes to predict bacterial resistance；TB genotypes are strongly associated with streptomycin resistance characteristics. A long-lasting rainfall event exceeding historical extremes took place in Jiangxi, China, from May 4 to 6, 2023. Because of the concentrated duration of precipitation, it led to significant water accumulation in the northern, central, and southern regions of Jiangxi. The objective of this study was to investigate the weather mechanisms underlying this extreme rainstorm in Jiangxi. By examining detailed observational data, the mesoscale weather characteristics and environmental conditions of the event can be obtained. These findings offer valuable insights for future weather forecasting and warnings. It was observed that after the Huanghuai cyclone moved eastward into the sea, the cold air on its western side shifted northward and converged with the warm, moisture-laden air mass in Hunan and Jiangxi provinces. This convergence of air masses triggered the heavy rainstorm event. The peak precipitation period occurred from midnight on May 5 to 0800 BJT on May 6. Concerning the macroscopic precipitation characteristics, multiple mesoscale convective systems (MCSs) originated in Hunan during this period and progressed eastward along the shear line toward the central part of Jiangxi. As for the microscopic precipitation features, the total precipitation amount was closely linked to the duration of heavy rain droplets. The rainfall distribution in the raindrop spectrum also served as a valuable reference for understanding the persistence and size of precipitation. The temporal pattern of the combined reflectivity echo along 27.5° N indicated that from 2000 BJT on May 5 to the early morning of May 6, there was a rapid development of a weaker MCS after passing through the Luoxiao Mountains. This development resulted in a "train effect" in the central region of Jiangxi. The presence of a 200 hPa divergence area, high vertical ascent rate, and abundant water vapor contributed to the formation of a narrow area of heavy rainstorms in central Jiangxi. Additionally, the falling area of heavy rain coincided with the front of the 500 hPa low trough. In the northern part of Jiangxi, the occurrence of heavy precipitation was influenced by the equivalent temperature front area. Litsea cubeba (Lour.) Pers. is an important economic tree. We aimed to explore the phenotypic diversity of wild L. cubeba provenances from Jiangxi province and identify the germplasms with desirable characteristics. Nest variance analysis, multiple comparisons, correlation analysis, path analysis, redundancy analysis, and cluster analysis were conducted to compare the phenotypes of 526 wild L. cubeba trees from 27 provenances. We detected significant differences in the growth traits, fruit traits, and essential oil (EO) content of L. cubeba provenances, as well as significant differences in tree height, thousand seed dry weight, and the proportion of five essential oil components (citral, neral, geranial, D-limonene, and citronellal) within the provenances. The fresh fruit yield (FFY) was mainly determined by the ground diameter and the annual average minimum temperature. The EO content was mainly affected by the water content, annual average temperature, longitude, and latitude. The proportion of citral (CitrP) was negatively affected by extreme low temperatures. Four individual L. cubeba trees had a high FFY of over 10.00 kg·tree−1. Two trees had a high EO content exceeding 5%, with their CitrP over 80%. The provenances with high FFY were Guixi and Yushan (2.65 kg·tree−1; 2.89 kg·tree−1). The provenances with a high EO content of about 4.00% were Dayu, Yudu, Ji'an, Xinfeng, and Yushan. Summary: Sedum danxiacola S.Y.Meng & B.Chen, a new species of Sedum, is found on the Danxia landform near Wuyi Mountain, China. Sedum danxiacola belongs to sect. Filipes and is similar to S. drymarioides Hance and S. stellariifolium Franch. A principal component analysis (PCA) based on five leaf traits, an examination of seeds and leaves by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and a morphological analysis showed that S. danxiacola can easily be separated from S. drymarioides and S. stellariifolium. ObjectiveTo understand the predominant multi-locus sequence typing types， their temporal and spatial distribution characteristics， and epidemic trends of Salmonella isolated from patients with foodborne diseases in Jiangxi Province， the corresponding relation between the serotypes and sequence types （STs） was analyzed.MethodsThree hundred and thirteen isolates from patients with foodborne diseases from 2014 to 2018 in Jiangxi Province were used as the research subjects. Multi-locus sequence typing was used to genotype the strains. The relation between the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of the STs and serotypes was analyzed.ResultsThe 313 isolates were divided into 39 STs. The dominant STs were ST34 （32.59%）， ST11 （15.97%）， and ST19 （11.50%）. The most common ST types annually were ST34， ST11， and ST19. There were regional differences in the distribution of STs. Shangrao had the most STs （20）， followed by Fuzhou （15） and Jingdezhen （14）. The dominant STs in Nanchang， Xinyu， and Yingtan were ST11， ST19， and ST19， respectively， whereas the dominant ST type in the other cities was ST34. The 313 Salmonella isolates were classified into 30 serotypes. The dominant serotypes were S. serovars 4［5］，12：i：- （30.35%）， S. enteritidis （15.97%）， and S. typhimurium （14.06%）.ConclusionMany STs of Salmonella strains， but mainly ST34， ST11， and ST19， were isolated from patients with foodborne diseases in Jiangxi Province. The three dominant STs were distributed in different regions of Jiangxi Province， but there were also individual differences in the temporal and spatial distribution of the STs.

ObjectiveTo analyze the epidemic trends and current status in the prevalence of schistosomiasis in Jiangxi Province from 2002 to 2021， and to provide evidence for formulating and optimizing schistosomiasis control strategies in the province.MethodsEpidemiological data of schistosomiasis in Jiangxi Province from 2002 to 2021 were collected. The Joinpoint regression model was used to investigate the epidemic trends of schistosomiasis， and the annual average percent change （AAPC） was used to assess the changing trend of schistosomiasis infection in humans and bovines. SPSS 25.0 software was used to analyze the target achievement status， infection rate of schistosomiasis in humans and the areas with snails in 2021 to evaluate the differences among various districts and epidemic regions.ResultsBy 2021， 24 counties （61.50%） in the province had achieved the elimination goal， with hilly and marsh counties reaching 82.60% and 31.30%， respectively. This review was undertaken to summarize the development, experience, and challenges of ratoon rice cultivation over 50 years in Jiangxi Province, China. As the growing labor shortage in the last decade, rice ratooning technology with the main crop harvested mechanically has widely spread and quickly replaced the traditional ratoon rice under manual harvesting. However, rolling damage caused by harvesting machines becomes a critical factor for yield loss in the ratoon season. Some key agronomic practices including variety selection, optimal planting time, nutrient and water management, etc. were discussed here for minimizing rolling damage and achieving high grain yield in the ratoon crop under mechanical harvesting. Besides, some innovative crop rotation systems have been attempted by integrating ratoon rice with duck farming or fragrant taro for reducing weeds and disease incidences and improving farmers' profit. At last, this review analyzed the challenges and opportunities for further expansion of ratoon rice production in Jiangxi from the perspective of cultivation technology, rice market, and government policy.

Only one zodariid species, Storenomorpha lushanensis Yu & Chen, 2009 was found from Jiangxi Province. No other Mallinella species have been recorded from this Province.A new species, Mallinella shahu sp. n. is described from Jiangxi Province, China. The establishment of the territorial spatial plan system is an important space reform act to meet the new era in China. The reform of territorial spatial plans according to classification is in line with the characteristics of China's current territorial spatial administration and urban development. At present, China's provincial and municipal territorial spatial plans have been publicized, and county-level territorial spatial plans are being approved one after another, while the compilation of township-level territorial spatial plans is being carried out in an orderly manner. In this paper, based on the historical background of the establishment of territorial spatial plan system integrating "multiple plans", the background of territorial spatial plans and the important role of county-level territorial spatial plans were first elaborated, and then the progress of the compilation of county-level territorial spatial plans in Jiangxi Province was sorted out. Finally, the problems existing in the compilation were discussed, and corresponding suggestions were put forward to provide a certain reference for the construction of a scientific and reasonable territorial spatial plan system. In recent years, the order evaluation method of a coupled system based on synergetics has been successfully applied in the field of water resources evaluation and management. The evaluation of system order degree needs to comprehensively consider the simple giant system entropy of multiple order parameters. At this stage, the calculation of simple giant system entropy ignores the time series characteristics of order parameters, which makes the evaluation results of system order degree deviate from the actual changes of the system. Therefore, considering the time factor in the entropy calculation of a simple giant system, this paper proposes a synergetic order evaluation method considering the characteristics of time series. Then, taking Jiangxi Province as the research object, an example of a comprehensive evaluation of the order degree of the water resources coupling system is carried out. The relevant experimental results show that: The evaluation results of the synergetic order degree method considering the characteristics of time series presented in this paper are closer to the actual evolution situation of the system than the evaluation results without considering the characteristics of the time series, and maintaining high consistency with the actual evolution situation; the order degree of the water resources subsystem is greatly affected by the changes of water resources; and the entropy change of the water resources coupling system in Jiangxi Province is greatly affected by the entropy change of the water resources subsystem. The research result enhances the universality of the application of the synergetic order evaluation method in the related fields of a comprehensive evaluation of water resources systems and has a certain practical significance. Three new Otacilia species were collected from Jiangxi Provinces, China during a survey of the spider fauna of the region: Otacilia anfu Liu, sp. nov. (♂♀), O. guanshan Liu, sp. nov. Jiangxititan ganzhouensis gen. et sp. nov. is a new titanosaurian sauropod recovered from the Upper Cretaceous (Maastrichtian) Nanxiong Formation of Jiangxi Province, southern China. It is characterised by: (1) posterior cervical and anterior dorsal centra strongly compressed dorsoventrally; (2) accessory horizontal laminae present within the anterior dorsal pleurocoels; (3) posterior cervical and anterior dorsal neural arches low; (4) posterior cervical and anterior dorsal neural spines deeply bifurcated and widely separated; (5) inverted ‘V’ lamina formed by the left and right medial spinoprezygapophyseal laminae present at the anterior margin of the bifid point in posteriormost cervical and anteriormost dorsal neural spines; (6) triangular fossa formed by the metapophysis, medial and lateral spinoprezygapophyseal laminae present at the anterior margins of the posteriormost cervical and anteriormost dorsal neural spines; (7) postzygapophyses in the posterior cervical vertebrae fan-shaped; (8) medial and lateral spinopostzygapophyseal laminae present in the anterior dorsal vertebrae; and (9) anterior dorsal rib short and gracil. Our phylogenetic analysis places Jiangxititan within the deeply-nested titanosauriform clade Lognkosauria and the sympatric Gannansaurus in a much earlier-diverging lineage. This new discovery thus demonstrates the presence of both early-diverging and late-diverging titanosauriform sauropods in the Late Cretaceous Ganzhou dinosaur fauna. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The territory space suitability evaluation is the basic work of performing a new round of territory spatial planning in China. Judging the supply and demand status of space resources by coupling land suitability evaluation and land expansion simulation, which has certain theoretical and practical significance for the formulation of territory spatial planning. The current technical framework of territory space suitability evaluation emphasizes current situation analysis and ignores trend research. This article discusses how to supplement the technical framework with territorial spatial development trend forecasting. Taking Jiangxi Province as the case area and county-level administrative districts as the research unit, using the coupled and supplemented technical framework, a coupled analysis was carried out on the spatial suitability evaluation of the planned area and construction land expansion simulation. The case study shows that the current suitable development areas are inconsistent with the future expansion areas of urban space. Therefore, it is difficult to reflect the dynamic changes in construction land only by dividing the urban space based on suitability evaluation. On this basis, coupling dynamic trend prediction helps to provide planners or decision-makers with a more vivid and intuitive reference, thereby enhancing the scientificity of territory spatial planning. Water conservation services are key indicators of ecological services. Against the backdrop of frequent extreme weather events and water scarcity caused by global climate change and intensified human activities, assessing these services and their drivers are crucial tasks for regional ecological security and sustainable development. Jiangxi Province is one of the first national ecological civilization pilot zones in China, representing an important ecological barrier in southern China. Exploring the characteristics of spatial and temporal changes in water conservation and their driving factors can facilitate the rational development and utilization of regional water resources and the construction of ecological civilizations. Therefore, based on long time series data, the InVEST model was used to explore the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of water conservation services, and to elucidate the trend of their change through the Theil–Sen median trend analysis and the Mann–Kendall test; then, the geographic detector and geographically weighted regression model were used to further analyze the drivers of spatial variability of water conservation services. The results showed the following: (1) The average depth of water conservation was 103.18 mm, showing a spatial pattern of "low in the middle, high in the surroundings, high in the north and low in the south". (2) Slight improvements were primarily observed (77.49%), with only 1.60% of the area showing significant improvements. (3) Land use was the main driver of the spatial differentiation, and the interaction between precipitation and forestland had a significantly greater effect on spatial heterogeneity than any single factor. (4) Obvious spatial heterogeneity occurred in the driving factor impacts, with natural factors (precipitation, evapotranspiration, forestland, and grassland) having a positive impact on water conservation services, and land-use factors (construction land and cropland) and socioeconomic factors (population density and land area) having a negative effect. Flash floods are a frequent and highly destructive natural hazard in China. In order to prevent and manage these disasters, it is crucial for decision-makers to create GIS-based flash flood susceptibility maps. In this study, we present an improved Blending approach, RF-Blending (Reserve Feature Blending), which differs from the Blending approach in that it preserves the original feature dataset during meta-learner training. Our objectives were to demonstrate the performance improvement of the RF-Blending approach and to produce flash flood susceptibility maps for all catchments in Jiangxi Province using the RF-Blending approach. The Blending approach employs a double-layer structure consisting of support vector machine (SVM), K-nearest neighbor (KNN), and random forest (RF) as base learners for level-0, and the output of level-0 is utilized as the meta-feature dataset for the meta-learner in level-1, which is logistic regression (LR). RF-Blending employs the output of level-0 along with the original feature dataset for meta-learner training. To develop flood susceptibility maps, we utilized these approaches in conjunction with historical flash flood points and catchment-based factors. Our results indicate that the RF-Blending approach outperformed the other approaches. These can significantly aid catchment-based flash flood susceptibility mapping and assist managers in controlling and remediating induced damages. [Objective] The village type identification was carried out scientifically to provide technical support and a decision-making reference for the formulation of the overall territorial space planning and the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy for Xingguo County, Jiangxi Province, in order to provide experience reference for the village type identification in the hills and mountains in Southern China. [Methods] Villages were taken as the research units. A village layout suitability evaluation index system and a rural revitalization potential evaluation index system were constructed. The village types in Xingguo County were identified by combining the AHP and CRITIC methods to determine the index weight. A coupling coordination model was constructed. [Results] ① The overall village layout suitability in Xingguo County was in the general level, and the suitability grades were mainly in the middle suitability level, with significant differences in spatial distribution, showing the spatial characteristics of "decreasing in a stepwise manner from the central part of the city to the surrounding areas" . ② The overall level of rural revitalization potential needs to be improved. The high-level areas were mainly located in the villages surrounding the urban areas and the resident villages of each township. ③ The coupling degree between the suitability of village layout and rural revitalization was high. The coordination degree needs to be improved from the average coupling coordination degree, with the largest number of villages at the primary coupling coordination degree. ④ The types of villages in Xingguo County were identified as suburban integration villages, clustered development villages, survival and upgrading villages, characteristic protection villages, and relocated and evacuated villages. Corresponding development strategies were proposed for different types of villages. [Conclusion] Village layout was closely related to local topography and social and economic development. The potential of rural revitalization was positively correlated with the suitability of rural layout. Therefore, different development strategies should be proposed for different village types.

ABSTRACT: Poultry is one of the most commonly farmed species and the most widespread meat industries. However, numerous poultry flocks have been long threatened by pathogenic bacterial infections, especially antimicrobial resistant pathogens. Here the prevalence and the antimicrobial resistance (AMR) profiles of bacterial pathogens isolated from poultry in Jiangxi Province, China were investigated. From 2020 to 2022, 283 tissue and liquid samples were collected from clinically diseased poultry, including duck, chicken, and goose, with an overall positive isolation rate of 62.90%. Among all the 219 bacterial isolates, 29 strains were gram-positive and 190 strains were gram-negative. Major bacteria species involved were avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC; 57.53%; 126/219), followed by Salmonella spp. (11.87%, 26/219), Pasteurella multocida (6.39%, 14/219), and Staphylococcus spp. (1.22%, 11/219). Antimicrobial susceptibility testing showed the APEC isolates displayed considerably higher levels of AMR than the Salmonella and P. multocida isolates. The APEC isolates showed high resistance rate to amoxicillin (89.68%), ampicillin (89.68%), and florfenicol (83.33%), followed by streptomycin (75.40%), cefradine (65.87%), and enrofloxacin (64.29%). Multidrug-resistant isolates were observed in APEC (99.21%), Salmonella spp. (96.16%), and P. multocida (85.71%), and nearly 3 quarters of the APEC strains were resistant to 7 or more categories of antimicrobial drugs. Moreover, blaNDM genes associated with carbapenemase resistance and mcr-1 associated with colisitin resistance were detected in the APEC isolates. Our findings could provide evidence-based guidance for veterinarians to prevent and control bacterial diseases, and be helpful for monitoring the emerging and development of AMR in poultry bacterial pathogens.

Drought incidents often occur which have the non-negligible impact on human living and social economic development. In recent years, Jiangxi Province suffered from some drought disasters especially the Poyang Lake drought bottoming incident in year 2021. Thus, choosing the Jiangxi Province for studying area and April 2002 to December 2022 as studying period and using the Water Storage Deficit Index (WSDI) derived from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) and GRACE Follow-on data to analyze and identify the drought incidents during the study period. Fourteen drought incidents occurred in the study period and the longest drought incident was in 2003-2004, which lasted eight months whose total water deficit is 100.68 km3. Especially, to deeply analyze the Poyang Lake bottoming drought event, the period from April 2022 to December 2022 is selected as the research interval. It demonstrates that the drought began in August 2022 from the northeastern region spread southwest and expanded to the entire area in October 2022 and November 2022, and then retreated to the northwestern region and drought severity of the Poyang Lake is in peak in November 2022 which led to the lake bottoming and severity of drought reaches the peak in whole province. To comprehensively verify accuracy of the WSDI, the self-calibrating palmer drought severity index (scPDSI) and Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI) are adopted for comparison, the relation between precipitation and TWSA (Terrestrial Water Storage Anomaly) shows apparent periodicity and the correlation coefficient between them is 0.59, which indicates that precipitation is a vital factor affecting TWSA of the Jiangxi Province.
