Abstract [Objective] During a survey of forest germplasm resources in the Yangjifeng National Nature Reserve in northeastern Jiangxi, China, in 2021, the authors discovered a plant belonging to the Crassulaceae family and Sedum L. genus. This species differed from previously reported plants of the same genus, and this paper discusses and determines its taxonomic status. [Methods] Multiple populations in Yangjifeng were tracked, and detailed observations and morphological comparisons were conducted at different phenological stages to distinguish commonalities and unique traits. Additionally, its national distribution was determined through literature review and specimen examination. [Results] The species had a lotus-shaped nutritive branch in the seedling stage, which was most similar to Sedum subtile Miq. Distinguishing features included well-developed and trinodal sterile branches, 5 to 16 flowers per branch on the flower stem, and spatulate-lanceolate bracts in the former, while the latter had slender sterile branches with alternate or opposite leaves, 3 to 5 flowers per branch on the flower stem, and linear bracts. [Conclusion] The study indicated that this was a new species, and was named Sedum fluviale B. Chen & Z. W. Zhu. It was specifically found in stream environments and had a broad distribution, including provinces such as Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Fujian, Anhui, Hunan, and Guizhou. There had been numerous instances of misidentifications in the past. The holotype specimen was stored at the Shanghai Chenshan Herbarium (CSH).

Jiangxi has superior natural environmental conditions, but tourism development is insufficient. This study analysed the distribution characteristics of natural tourism resources in Jiangxi Province, evaluated the potential of ecotourism, spatialized the coupling and coordination relationship between tourism resources and tourism potential and proposed the direction of tourism development and study travel planning. Results: (1) Natural tourist attractions in Jiangxi are relatively dense in the north and northeast, while relatively sparse in the south. (2) Natural tourism potential is generally high in the surrounding and low in the middle and high in the south and low in the north, and are distributed in a strip like manner. (3) Jiangxi is basically in a coordinated state, with the overall coupling index is relatively high, while the spatial differences in coordination index are significant, indicating that natural tourism resources and natural tourism potential have a strong mutual influence but their distribution characteristics do not match. (4) Future optimized development zone of natural tourism will be in the north and northeast, and the expanded development zone will be in the northwest and southeast. Both thematic and comprehensive study travel routes can be launched in regions with relatively concentrated natural tourist attractions. This article provides a research perspective on the interaction between tourism resource endowment and development practices, and the results can provide reference for relevant fields, natural tourism development, and study travel practices. This study investigated the temporal and spatial patterns of heat wave (HW) events in Jiangxi, China. Our analysis is based on the observation data, including daily maximum temperature and daily average air relative humidity from 81 meteorological stations from 1959 to 2023. We also examined the impact of HW events on summer electricity consumption by taking the capital city of Jiangxi, Nanchang, as a case study. The results reveal an overall increase in the frequency of HW events over the past 65 years, with a pronounced increase since 1997, particularly in central and southern Jiangxi. The onset of HW events has generally occurred earlier, while their cessation has been delayed across most areas of Jiangxi Province, resulting in extended HW periods. Economic growth in regions like the Jitai Basin, the Ganfu Plain, and the hilly areas of northeastern Jiangxi has been accompanied by more intense and prolonged HW events. In Nanchang City, the summer electricity load increased by approximately 9% on holidays compared to working days and by about 20% on high-temperature days compared to normal conditions. These insights highlight the need for adaptive strategies to mitigate the impacts of increasing HW occurrences.

Background: Cuspidevia Jäch & Boukal, 1995 is a member of the tribe Macronychini which has the following features: antennae short, 6-10 segmented, aedeagus long and cylindrical, paramere very small, slender or lacking. This genus currently comprises only three species. All species are distributed in China. New information: Cuspidevia pilosus sp. nov. is reported from Guangdong, Guangxi and Jiangxi Provinces in China. Habitus and diagnostic features of the new species are illustrated. Objective To investigate the nurses' cognition condition and influence factors about the narrative nursing in the tertiary hospitals. Methods In January 2023,Using purposive sampling method, 2 000 clinical nurses in 10 tertiary hospitals in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province were selected as the research objects. Based on literature review, a self-made questionnaire was completed, and 20 nurses were randomly selected for pre-experiment, to investigate the nurses' cognition condition of narrative nursing in the tertiary hospitals, and to analyze the influencing factors. A total of 2 000 questionnaires were submitted, and 1 993 questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 99.65%. Results The 1 993 nurses scored (23.66±4.73) points and (32.38±4.26) points on knowledge and attitude of narrative nursing, and (28.27±5.48) points on behavior. There were significant differences in narrative nursing knowledge level, narrative nursing attitude level, narrative nursing behavior level of nurses with different educational background, growing place, position, title, working years and satisfaction with nursing work (P＜0.05). Job title, education background were the influence factors of clinical nurses' narrative nursing knowledge, job title, education background, growing place and satisfaction with nursing work were the influence factors of clinical nurses' narrative nursing attitude, and job title, job title and satisfaction with nursing work were the influence factors of clinical nurses' narrative nursing behavior, among which job title was the main influence factor of clinical nurses' narrative nursing knowledge, attitude and behavior scores, and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion In the tertiary hospitals, the nurses generally have the good attitudes towards narrative nursing, but their knowledge and behavior need to be further improved. The factors influencing narrative nursing ability are related to nurses' job titles and positions, which suggests that nursing managers need to carry out relevant knowledge training for nurses of different levels to improve their correct cognition and provide high-quality nursing services for patients. The history of bamboo culture in Jiangxi can be traced back to the Neolithic Age 4000 years ago. A large number of bamboo products were unearthed from Shang, Zhou and the Warring States sites in Jiujiang, Yingtan, and other places, indicating that bamboo was widely used at that time. In the long-term management and production activities of bamboo forests, the people of Jiangxi accumulated rich experience. Based on the characteristics of different bamboo traits, they developed various uses in production and daily life scenarios such as weaving, construction, papermaking, and consumption. From the perspective of human geography, sorting out historical and spatial-temporal development of bamboo culture in Jiangxi, understanding the important role of bamboo in ecological environment protection, cultural inheritance, and economic development, is beneficial for us to scientifically plan and reasonably utilize bamboo forest resources, promote the sustainable development of the bamboo industry, and make positive contributions to the prosperity of the local economy and the protection of the ecological environment. The demand for carbon peaking and 'carbon neutrality' is putting pressure on some provinces in central China that are on the rise in economic development and rely on coal as their main energy source. This article takes Jiangxi Province as an example to study the relationship between net CO2 emissions and 11 indicators, the STIRPAT model is used to perform multivariate linear fitting. The results of regression are used to calculate the peak value of net CO2 emissions under different scenarios, and the fuzzy set qualitative analysis method is used to study the development model of net CO2 emissions in Jiangxi Province and its control path. The results showed that: (1) Per capita GDP has the most significant impact on the net CO2 emissions, while the proportion of total forestry output value, energy conservation, environmental protection expenditures in public expenditures, the number of buses vehicles operating per 10,000 people are negatively correlated with net CO2 emissions. (2) After simulating the possible development scenarios of Jiangxi Province, it can be concluded that there are in three scenarios the net CO2 emissions are most likely to peak before 2030. (3) Configuration analysis results showed that if Jiangxi Province wants to achieve 'carbon neutrality' in 2060, it is necessary to maintain both economic structural adjustment and energy consumption structural adjustment, with carbon intensity reduction as the main goal development model. Background Association between maternal haemoglobin (Hb) and low birth weight (LBW) remains a controversial topic, and data in China were sparse. Aims We aimed to investigate the association between maternal Hb and LBW among pregnant women in Jiangxi Province, China. Methods In this cross-sectional study, 1,029 participants were enrolled. Anaemia was classified according to World Health Organization's definition of anaemia in pregnancy. Logistic regression analysis was performed to evaluate the association between maternal Hb and LBW. Generalized additive model and smooth curve fitting (penalized spline method) were conducted to explore the exact shape of curve between them. Results The overall prevalence of anaemia was 58.2% in our study. A significantly higher risk of LBW was found in moderate anaemia subjects (odds ratio [OR] = 2.93; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.16–5.31) and severe anaemia subjects (OR = 63.86; 95% CI: 25.66–158.90) compared with maternal Hb concentration >100 g/L. The fully adjusted smooth curve fitting presented an L-shaped association between the maternal Hb and LBW, with a turning point at about 110 g/L. Subgroup analyses showed that stronger associations between maternal Hb and LBW were detected in pregnant women with high education, long duration of gestation and multiple antenatal visits (all P for interaction <0.05). Conclusions Anaemia in delivering women was associated with an elevated risk of LBW and the risk increased with the severity of anaemia, especially among pregnant women with high education, long duration of gestation and multiple antenatal visits from Jiangxi Province, China. Water bodies provide humans with important hydrological ecosystem services (HESs), directly or indirectly. Water yield, water conservation, and soil conservation are essential to HESs. Since China's reform and opening up, and with its rapid socio-economic development, land use in Jiangxi Province has undergone drastic change, resulting in threats to the ecological environment. This paper evaluates three HESs, water yield, water conservation, and soil conservation, in Jiangxi Province based on land use and rainfall data, quantifies the impacts of different land classes on each ecosystem, predicts future land use using the patch-generating land use simulation (PLUS) model, and finally, discusses the ecological risks in the study area. The following results were obtained: (1) The HESs in the basin increased and then decreased from 2000 to 2020, and the spatial distribution of water yield and water conservation was greatly influenced by rainfall. Soil conservation was mostly consistent with the elevation distribution. (2) Over time, the overall aggregation of HESs in the study area increased. There were small differences in the effects of various land uses on water yield and water conservation, and large differences in the effects on soil conservation. (3) The distribution of ecological risks was not affected by different land use strategies, with the lower ecological risk level 1 dominating. Most risk areas were present in Ganzhou, Ji'an, Shangrao, and Jiujiang. The ecological risk from urban sprawl (US) accounted for the most significant proportion, and that from the ecological protection (EP) strategy accounted for the lowest proportion. This study provides reference for sustainable land use development and ecological risk prevention in the study area.

ObjectiveTo provide the scientific basis for control and prevention of bacterial foodborne diseases， the epidemiology characteristics of bacterial foodborne disease outbreaks in Jiangxi Province from 2015 to 2019 were analyzed.MethodsThe descriptive analysis was conducted on the data of bacterial foodborne disease outbreaks in Jiangxi Province reported through “Foodborne Disease Outbreak Reporting System” from 2015 to 2019.ResultsA total of 161 bacterial foodborne disease outbreaks were reported in Jiangxi Province from 2015 to 2019， including 1 682 patients and 794 hospitalizations. The average annual incidence was 0.73/100 000. And the most incidents occurred from May to October. Salmonella and Vibrio parahaemolyticus were the main pathogen factor of bacterial foodborne diseases， and the number of incidents and patients accounted for 45.4% （73/161） and 56.4% （949/1 682） of the total， respectively. Meat and meat products were the main causing food. Families， hotels or restaurants， rural banquets， school and office canteens were the main places of bacterial foodborne disease outbreaks. Improper processing and storage， contamination or spoilage of raw material were the main cause of outbreaks.ConclusionBacterial foodborne diseases is still a major public health problem in Jiangxi Province. In high-incidence seasons， supervision should be targeted at key foods and places， education and training should be targeted at the relevant personnel to strengthen the awareness of family food safety and reduce the occurrence of bacterial foodborne diseases.

Coal and its fly ash after combustion can be rich in critical metals, and the content can reach or even exceed the traditional deposit, which is expected to become the main source of critical metals in the future. Xintian coal mine in the western Pingle depression was taken as the research object, and the technical methods such as SEM-EDS analysis, TIMA system, XRF, and ICP-MS were used to carry out coal petrology and whole-rock geochemistry research, aiming at finding out the enrichment types and causes of critical metals in Xintian coal mine. The results show that the coal in Xintian coal mine is mainly composed of organic matter and kaolinite, followed by quartz, feldspar and illite, with slight magnetite, tremolite, rutile, and apatite. Compared with the contents of critical metals in global coal and global sedimentary rocks, Cs is considered as the main critical metal that is enriched in Xintian coal mine and can be enriched in the coal seams and floor surrounding rocks. The occurrence mode of critical metal Cs may be that isomorphism replaces K and Rb in the feldspar lattice, isomorphism replaces K in illite, exists in lattice of clay minerals or is adsorbed by clay minerals together with Li. Combined with the study on Al2O3/TiO2 ratios and the characteristics of rare earth elements with coal seam and surrounding rock in Xintian coal mine with the evolution history of regional tectonic-magmatic activity, it is considered that the enrichment of critical metal Cs in coal may be the terrigenous source formed by weathering of Paleozoic granite in the southern margin of Pingxiang coal-bearing basin, and the superimposition by later Cs-rich magmatic hydrothermal fluid in Yanshanian is beneficial to the further enrichment of critical metal Cs in coal. Mafic dikes are developed in the Shangsu region of Jiangxi, including Nanyuan Mountain and Mianhuaao. These dikes intrude into the Upper Triassic Anyuan Formation and are primarily composed of pyroxene, plagioclase, and opaque minerals, exhibiting a dolerite texture. The mafic dikes were found to have an SiO2 content ranging from 48.38% to 50.53% and the (K2O + Na2O) content ranging from 2.88% to 4.16%. The Na2O/K2O ratio was found to be between 2.56 and 3.99. The Eu anomaly was absent (δEu = 0.91–0.95), suggesting no influence of plagioclase fractionation during the rock formation process. The Ce anomaly was found to be absent (δCe = 1.04–1.08). The Mg# was found to range from approximately 40.06 to 45.06, indicating minimal crystal fractionation within the magma. The mafic dikes are enriched in light rare earth elements and large ion lithophile elements (LILE) and Th, while they showed significant depletion of high field strength elements (Nb, Ta, Ti). The Ti depletion may be related to the separation and crystallization of Ti-bearing minerals such as amphibole and ilmenite. Zr and Hf anomalies were evident, likely due to the contamination of zircon minerals in the samples. The mafic dikes were most likely products of the Middle–Late Yanshanian magmatic intrusion, formed in an extensional setting within the intracontinental rift environment caused by the collision of the Pacific Plate and the Eurasian Plate. Xanthium strumarium is a traditional folk medicinal plant. The 50% ethanol eluting faction of X. mongolicum had significant activity to inhibit necroptosis. In order to investigate the active constituents, the active fraction of X. mongolicum were isolated and purified by various chromatographic methods such as repeated silica gel column chromatography, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, preparative high performance liquid chromatography and recrystallization. Their structures were established on the basis of NMR, MS spectraoscopic analyses and comparison with lirerature date. The results were as follows: A total of 14 compounds were isolated from the active part and identified as hydroxydihydrobovolide(1), raspberry ketone(2), salicyl alcohol(3), 4-hydroxyl-acetophenone(4), 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde(5), ethyl caffeate(6), ferulaldehyde(7), isoscopletin(8), 3,3′-bis(3,4-dihydro-4-hydroxy-6-methoxy-2H-1-benzopyran)(9), axillarin (10), quercetin (11), (+) pinoresinol(12), β-sitosterol(13) and palmatic acid(14). Compounds 1-4, 7-10 were all isolated from Xanthium mongolicum for the first time.

In order to study the structural characteristics and key mechanism of Jiangxi hail supercell, the characteristics of combined reflectivity CR echo intensity dBZ, ground rainfall, TBB cloud image and ADTD lightning information of Hail in Jiangxi from March 30 to 31, 2021 were analyzed by using the data of Jiangxi WebGIS Radar Mosaic platform, Jiangxi ADTD two-dimensional lightning monitoring and positioning system, Jiangxi automatic weather station rainfall retrieval platform and MICAPS system platform. The results show that: (1) during the heavy hail weather process from March 30 to 31, 2021, thunderstorm, gale and precipitation are less and smaller than the severe convective weather process in the history of Jiangxi in spring, but the number of hail stations, influence range, maintenance time, Hail Diameter and echo intensity are higher than other severe convective weather cases in the history. (2) The strongest echo dBz and 10 min rainfall are proportional to the size of hail, and the change of 10 min rainfall is ahead of the occurrence of hail; The area of strong echo is positively correlated with the number of lightning. (3) Supercell echo system is an important echo system type that causes hail weather in Jiangxi: ① echo center intensity ≥ 60 dBZ, and strong echo core ≥ 65 dBZ appears in the center; ② 60 dBz echo area ≥ 10 x 10 km²; ③ 30 ~ 60 dBZ strong echo gradient (the densest area) ≤ 6 km; ④ The supercell has a "forward extending" echo structure formed by deep and spreading cloud anvils, forming a north-south "shield" echo structure. (4) The hail supercell formed MCS cloud system on the TBB cloud map, with a "forward extending" cloud anvil structure, and the lowest bright temperature was low (-100 °C). This rare ultra-low temperature was the key factor for the hail weather, and the southwest side was characterized by dense bright temperature gradient lines; TBB cloud image brightness temperature can show the existence of supercell MCS, and whether there can be hail, thunderstorm, gale and short-term heavy rainfall. It is necessary to further reveal the supercell structure in combination with the radar puzzle echo characteristics. In the Ming Dynasty, Jiangxi Province was one of the high incidence epidemic areas in China. The epidemic situation was characterized by frequent outbreaks, the spreading from the surrounding areas, the shortening of the interval between outbreaks, the obvious tendency of concentrated outbreaks, the prolongation of the duration, and the expansion of the spreading scope, the areas with high incidence of epidemic along rivers and lakes as well as the main transportation routes, the occurrence of epidemic with the same frequency as floods and droughts. After the outbreak of the epidemics, despite the support of the central government policy, the prefectural governments and local communities in Jiangxi were the main force in the post-epidemic relief. Local officials, squires, wealthy people, rich merchants and doctors became the main body. Measures such as setting up convenient medical bureaus for the people, selecting doctors and applying medicine, setting up granaries to distribute grain, giving wide relief, assisting agricultural production, taking care of patients, abandoning medicine and believing in witchcraft, escaping from the disaster areas were taken. The wide participation and active interaction of officials and people were the guarantee for the successful response to the epidemic. This paper summarizes the features of Jiangxi epidemic in Ming Dynasty and the countermeasures after the disaster to provide historical enlightenment for the prevention and control of the epidemic situation in our country. Flash floods occur frequently in Jiangxi province, causing serious property losses and human casualties. In order to measure the influences of the factors on flash flood risk and to evaluate the spatial distribution of flash flood risk based on small catchments in Jiangxi Province. This is a scientific reference for the establishment of early warning systems for flash floods and the identification of critical preventative areas. According to the theory of flash floods disaster system, selecting 36 factors from three aspects: hazard, risk-bearing body and vulnerability. Principal component analysis (PCA) selects 12 key factors. Using the certainty factor (CF) method, multi-factor superposition weight, it is findings that the vulnerability factors have the greatest influence on the occurrence of flash floods: the time of concentration range is 1.15 ~2.20 hours, the slope range is 11 ~ 22 degrees, the average annual maximum 6-hour rainfall is less than 81.02 mm, and the variation coefficient of the 6-hour design rainstorm is less than 0.42. The relationship between the risk-bearing body factors and the flash flood risk is not obvious. The areas of small watersheds with more than higher risk are 25.47% . The northeast Raohe river basin, the southwest Xiushui basin, the center Fuhe basin and upper Xinjiang river, and the southwest upper Ganjiang river are all at high risk of flash floods, especially in Jingdezhen, Shangrao and Ganzhou city. Lysiteles Simon, 1895 is one of the largest taxa with small body size among the Thomisidae and is mainly distributed in East, South and Southeast Asia. Most of them are recorded from southern provinces of China, such as Jiangxi Province, including three species. However, all of them are only discovered from Jinggang Mountain National Nature Reserve in Jiangxi Province. But there are still other species remaining unknown which need to be surveyed from other areas in this Province.One Lysiteles species was collected from Nanfengmian National Nature Reserve in Jiangxi Province. Based on morphological characters, it was recognised as a new species and has been named as Lysiteles nanfengmian sp. n. It is described and illustrated with photographs and its distribution is also mapped.

The genus Ibana Benjamin, 2014 was established, based on the type species Ibana senagang Benjamin, 2014 from Borneo, Malaysia. No species of this genus has been recorded from China.A new species of Ibana is described and illustrated, representing the first record of the genus for China. Ibana gan sp. n. differs from its congener by the yellowishbrown longitudinal band on the abdomen and the round, contiguous spermathecae. The distribution of the new species in Jiangxi Province is mapped.

To understand the behavior of the main participants in public welfare forest projects, this article constructs a “forest farmers–local government–central government” dynamic game model by setting the game scope and game principles. The game payment matrix and game equilibrium solutions show that (1) expanding the value of ecological products in the forest to improve operating income will increase the participation of forest farmers; (2) the local government's enthusiasm for leading public welfare forest projects is mainly influenced by the positive effects of planting and management costs, which provides the theoretical basis for central government to intervene in regional ecological governance; (3) when the central government leads public welfare forest projects, the enthusiasm of the local government for afforestation is positively influenced by the central government's subsidies. Finally, based on the game equilibrium solution, the expected results of forest farmers' operational income are calculated using the case of Jiangxi, which confirms the importance of increasing forest farmers' operational income.

Background There is no epidemiological survey of hemorrhagic stroke with a large sample size in China. Jiangxi Province faces high and rapidly increased prevalence of cerebrovascular disease in its resident population. Objective To understand the epidemiological characteristics and hospitalization costs of hemorrhagic stroke inpatients in Jiangxi, offering a scientific basis for preventing and controlling the disease. Methods Through the management system of Diagnosis Related Groups, Informaion Center, Health Commission of Jiangxi Province, the information of patients with a primary diagnosis of hemorrhagic stroke (ICD-10 code I60-I69) discharged during 2015—2019 was collected. Based the data, the epidemiological characteristics and hospitalization costs associated with hemorrhagic stroke were anayzed. Results Of the 128 788 cases, 115 254 (89.49%) had cerebral hemorrhage and 13 534 (10.51%) had subarachnoid hemorrhage. Ecological restoration of land space is one of the most important contents to promote agricultural production in recent years. The cultivated land is also one of the major carriers in agricultural space. A better tradeoff between cultivated land and forest can greatly contribute to the ecological protection and restoration. However, the agricultural land has been fragmented by rapid urbanization, particularly by the transfer of cultivated to marginal land, and the unreasonable land use. Therefore, it is very necessary to accurately identify the ecological patterns of cultivated land for the decision-making on the high-quality development and the scientific restoration of land space. Taking Jiangxi Province of China as the research area, this study aims to improve the scientific and reasonable zoning of the spatial layout during ecological restoration. The identification angles of cultivated land were set as the key points of agricultural spatial ecological diagnosis, according to the standard on Compilation of Provincial Land Spatial Ecological Restoration Planning (Draft for Comment). Some aspects were considered, including the ecological restoration functions of degraded land, the distribution scope and degree of ecological space stress caused by agricultural development, the landscape connectivity, and the negative impact on the mine ecology. The ecological cultivated land was closely related to the spatial restoration of agricultural production. Four indicators were then identified for the fragmentation of cultivated land, mine damage, soil erosion, and the conflict with ecological land. The index degree was also calculated using Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE), landscape index, land use transfer matrix, and GIS spatial analysis on each ecological restoration. Furthermore, the comprehensive index of ecological restoration was constructed using the combination weight. The ecological restoration of cultivated land was divided systematically, according to the division method of watershed, main ecological challenges, and restoration degree. The results show that: 1) The mild erosion of cultivated land was found in the study area during 2000-2018. The total area of soil erosion decreased by 50.98%. But the worse erosion was observed in the upper reaches of Ganjiang River, and the area around Poyang Lake. There was a great increase in the patch density and fragmentation of cultivated land, indicating the discrete aggregation tends. Specifically, the cultivated land was occupied 739.15 km2 of ecological land, such as forest land, water area, and wetland. The cumulative area (13.18 km²) of cultivated land was destroyed by the abandoned mines, such as the building materials, brick clay, and rare earth metals. 2) There was the outstanding spatial differentiation in the comprehensive index of the cultivated land during ecological restoration. Eight river basins and nine types of secondary areas were then subdivided into 38 sub-districts, according to the key restoration of soil and water conservation, the mine ecology, ecological land, and cultivated land connectivity. Two recommendations were given: 1) The Xinjiang and Xiushui basins need to strengthen the soil and water conservation, as well as the mine ecological restoration. 2) The ecological conflict remediation of cultivated land and the mine ecological restoration can be focused on the central areas of Poyang Lake, Raohe River basin, and the upper reaches of Ganjiang River. The finding can provide a strong support to the high-quality development of cultivated land in agricultural space in national land spatial planning. Homidia, one of the largest genera of the family Entomobryidae, is widely distributed in China. To date, 46 species of this genus are present in China and account for approximately 60 % of all known species of the genus. In the present paper, two new species of Homidia are described from China: H. acutus sp. nov. and H. changensis sp. nov. The former is discriminated by the brown to blue-violet pigment present on whole dorsal body and by pointed tenent hairs. The latter is characterised by having only scattered traces of brown pigment on tergites, and by the special macrochaetal formula of coxae. Additionally, two known species of the genus, H. linhaiensis Shi, Pan & Qi, 2009 and H. socia Denis, 1929, are reported from Jiangxi Province for the first time, and some of their taxonomic characters are described. Mafic dikes are developed in the Shangsu region of Jiangxi, including Nanyuan Mountain and Mianhuaao. These dikes intrude into the Upper Triassic Anyuan Formation and are primarily composed of pyroxene, plagioclase, and opaque minerals, exhibiting a dolerite texture. The mafic dikes were found to have an SiO2 content ranging from 48.38% to 50.53% and the (K2O + Na2O) content ranging from 2.88% to 4.16%. The Na2O/K2O ratio was found to be between 2.56 and 3.99. The Eu anomaly was absent (δEu = 0.91–0.95), suggesting no influence of plagioclase fractionation during the rock formation process. The Ce anomaly was found to be absent (δCe = 1.04–1.08). The Mg# was found to range from approximately 40.06 to 45.06, indicating minimal crystal fractionation within the magma. The mafic dikes are enriched in light rare earth elements and large ion lithophile elements (LILE) and Th, while they showed significant depletion of high field strength elements (Nb, Ta, Ti). The Ti depletion may be related to the separation and crystallization of Ti-bearing minerals such as amphibole and ilmenite. Zr and Hf anomalies were evident, likely due to the contamination of zircon minerals in the samples. The mafic dikes were most likely products of the Middle–Late Yanshanian magmatic intrusion, formed in an extensional setting within the intracontinental rift environment caused by the collision of the Pacific Plate and the Eurasian Plate. The lithospheric mantle source was influenced by subduction zone fluid, and the magma source region exhibited mixed crustal materials.

Most existing studies use 'reterritorialization' to describe the outward expansion of Chinese power in Southeast Asia. This paper, however, flips this familiar narrative. It examines Sino‐Southeast Asian diplomacy hidden in the Chinese hinterland and embedded in the everyday. I focus on the landlocked province of Jiangxi, where the Chinese government created two enclaves for communist exiles and displaced diaspora respectively—both hailing from Southeast Asia. I argue that this domestic operation of foreign affairs helped absorb the impact of unfavourable foreign policy outcomes or drastic policy reversals. As post‐Mao China re‐engaged with the world, the PRC state's management of Cold War migrants enabled its reconstruction of geopolitical relations with Southeast Asia. With China's foreign policy reorientation and the progression of market reform, the state's governing strategy in the two study areas changed from one of privileged segregation to a strong push for economic self‐reliance. Meanwhile, the entrepreneurial individuals from these two communities represented, repackaged and retooled an inconvenient past the state tried to erase for the elevation of their individual socioeconomic statuses and the development of their respective communities. Through their creative mediation, the history of PRC's Cold War engagement with Southeast Asia is reinscribed in new time‐space contexts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to investigate the effects environmental factors on characteristics of tea garden soil carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus contents and their ecological stoichiometric, soil samples were collected from the 0 ~ 20 cm soil layers of main tea gardens different with altitudes and planting years in Jiangxi Province, which were used to determine soil SOC, TN and TP contents and calculate stoichiometric ratios. The results show these as follows. The average contents of soil SOC and TN in tea garden were 13. 84 g / kg and 1. 37 g / kg, respectively, which were higher than the average level of national soil and reached the fertility standard of grade-I tea garden. The average content of soil TP was 0. 47 g / kg, which was lower than the average level of national soil and reached the fertility standard of grade-II tea garden. The mean values of soil C∶N, C∶P and N∶P were 10. 97, 32. 61 and 3. 49, respectively, which were lower than the average level of national soil. It showed that soil phosphorus had high availability, while soil nitrogen was relatively deficient. With the increase of altitude, soil SOC content, C∶N, and C∶P showed a trend of first decreasing and then increasing, while soil TN content, TP content, and N∶P showed no obvious change. With the increase of planting years, soil SOC content, TN content and C ∶P all showed an increasing trend. Soil N∶P showed a trend of first increase and then decrease, and soil C∶N showed a trend of first decrease and then increase, while the of soil TP content was not obvious. These results can provide reference for judgment of nutrient-limited elements and scientific management of tea gardens in Jiangxi. It is suggested that nitrogen fertilizer should be appropriately applied to tea gardens to maintain the balance of nitrogen and phosphorus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract Background Porcine sapelovirus (PSV) infection can lead severe polioencephalomyelitis with high morbidity and mortality, which result in significant economic losses. Infection with the PSV is believed to be common yet limited information is available on the prevalence and molecular characterization of PSV in China. Therefore, the objective of this study was to characterize the prevalence and genome of PSV strains identified in the western Jiangxi province of China. Results A high specificity and sensitivity SYBR Green I-based RT-PCR method for PSV detection was developed. Two hundred and ninety four fecal samples were collected from December 2018 to March 2019 in 4 farms. An overall PSV-positivity rate of 11.22% (33/294) was detected with the real-time RT-PCR method, and a high infection rate and viral load of PSV were found in nursery pigs. In total, complete VP1 gene sequences of 11 PSV strains (PSV-YCs) were obtained. Homology comparisons of the VP1 gene of the 11 PSV-YCs with previously reported PSVs revealed nucleotide sequence identities ranging from 63% to 96.8%, and deduced amino acid sequence identities from 61.4% to 99.7%. Phylogenetic analyses based on the VP1 gene exhibited 2 main clades corresponding to PSV-1 and PSV-2, and all PSV-YCs prevalent in western Jiangxi belonged to the traditional genotype (PSV-1). In addition, the pairwise distances of VP1 gene sequences between PSV-YCs ranged from 0.009 to 0.198, which indicating that substantial genetic diversity among the PSVs in western Jiangxi. Conclusions To the authors’ knowledge, this is the first description of PSV in the Jiangxi province pig herds in China, and it is crucial to understand the epidemiology of the viruses in China. The results also provide an important theoretical foundation for diagnosis and early warning of epidemic diseases caused by PSVs prevailing in this region.

At present, the research on PM2.5, the primary pollutant in smog, focuses on macro-scales such as urban agglomerations and economically developed provinces, but less on the financially underdeveloped regions in Mid-Eastern China. The research object of this paper is Jiangxi, an underdeveloped territory in Mid-Eastern China. By collecting PM2.5 concentration data from 2010 to 2015, this paper analyzed the temporal and seasonal variation of PM2.5 and studied spatial-temporal characteristics of PM2.5 by using spatial autocorrelation analysis, using the geographical detector models identified as the main influencing factors of PM2.5 concentration change. The results showed that: (1) the concentration of PM2.5 in Jiangxi province was the highest in winter and the worst pollution, followed by spring and autumn, and the best air quality in summer; (2) the spatial-temporal distribution of PM2.5 is quite different, the heavily polluted northwestern Jiangxi and the better air quality southern Jiangxi show a significant "diagonal" delivery, but the middle zone is not substantial; (3) Natural factors' temperature and socioeconomic factors' GDP are the leading factors that cause the PM2.5 concentration to change, and the interaction between the factors has greatly affected PM2.5 concentration changes.
