This paper proves that in a non-elementary relatively hyperbolic group, the logarithm growth rate of any non-elementary subgroup has a linear lower bound by the logarithm of the size of the corresponding generating set. Abstract

In the present paper, we derive several conditions of linear combinations and convolutions of harmonic mappings to be univalent and convex in one direction, one of them gives a partial answer to an open problem proposed by Dorff. The results presented here provide extensions and improvements of those given in some earlier works. Abstract

We prove that the inequalities $\sin_{p,q}(\sqrt{rs})\geq \sqrt{\sin_{p,q}(r)\sin_{p,q}(s)}$ and $\sinh_{p,q}(\sqrt{r^*s^*}) \leq \sqrt{\sinh_{p,q}(r^*)\sinh_{p,q}(s^*)}$ hold for all $p,q\in(1,\infty)$, $r,s\in(0,\int_{0}^{1}(1-t^q)^{-1/p}dt)$ and $r^*,s^*\in(0,\int_{0}^{\infty}(1+t^q)^{-1/p}dt)$, where $\sin_{p,q}$ and $\sinh_{p,q}$ are the generalized trigonometric and hyperbolic sine functions, respectively. 13. Limit sets and commensurability of Kleinian groups

Abstract

In this paper, we obtain several results on the commensurability of two Kleinian groups and their limit sets. We prove that two finitely generated subgroups $G_1$ and $G_2$ of an infinite co-volume Kleinian group $G \subset \Isom(\mathbf{H}^3)$ having $\Lambda(G_1) = \Lambda(G_2)$ are commensurable. In particular, it is proved that any finitely generated subgroup $H$ of a Kleinian group $G \subset \Isom(\mathbf{H}^3)$ with $\Lambda(H) = \Lambda(G)$ is of finite index if and only if $H$ is not a virtually fiber subgroup., Comment: 9 pages

Abstract

A pair of new chromone derivative enantiomers, (+)-xylarichromone A (1a) and (−)-xylarichromone A (1b), were isolated from the solid fermentation of Xylaria nigripes. The planar structure of 1 was determined by extensive NMR spectroscopic data, and its absolute configuration was assigned by comparison the ECD spectra with the known chromone derivatives. Compound 1 was the first chromone derivative reported from this medicinal fungus. The neuroprotective effects of 1 against oxygen and glucose deprivation (OGD) induced pheochromocytoma-12 cells (PC12) injury was investigated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Let $\mathbf{PU}(2,1)$ denote the holomorphic isometry group of the $2$-dimensional complex hyperbolic space $\mathbf{H}_{\mathbb{C}}^{2}$, and the group $\mathbf{SU}(2,1)$ is a 3-fold covering of $\mathbf{PU}(2,1)$: $\mathbf{PU}(2,1)=\mathbf{SU}(2,1)/\{\omega I:\omega^{3}=1\}$. We study how to decompose a given pair of isometries $(A,B)\in \mathbf{SU}(2,1)^{2}$ under the form $A=I_{1}I_{2}$ and $B=I_{3}I_{2},$ where the $I_{k}$'s are complex symmetries about complex lines. If $(A,B)$ can be written as above, we call it is $\mathbb{C}$-decomposable. The main results are decomposability criteria, which improve and supplement the result of [17].
