The motion response of offshore floating wind turbines significantly influences their structural integrity, power generation efficiency, operational complexity, safety, and stability. Therefore, predicting the motion response of offshore floating wind turbines is of paramount importance. In engineering practice, especially in extreme marine environments, the motion of wind turbines becomes more complex, making accurate prediction more challenging. In this era of rapid development in deep learning technology, some solutions have emerged for this problem. In this paper, we propose a hybrid model, namely the OVMD-FE-PSO-LSTM model. We begin by conducting numerical simulations of a 5 MW-OC4 semi-submersible floating wind turbine in extreme sea conditions, obtaining motion data for the turbine's six degrees of freedom. We then decompose the initial motion data using an optimized traditional VMD method, assess the modal complexity with the FE method, combine modal components with similar complexity to reduce computational load, and make predictions using the PSO-LSTM model. Finally, we analyze and compare the predictive results of different models. The results demonstrate that the proposed hybrid model outperforms other comparative models in terms of accuracy, providing new insights into the prediction of the motion response of offshore floating wind turbines. Telomeres and telomerase play crucial roles in the initiation and progression of cancer. As biomarkers, they aid in distinguishing benign from malignant tissues. Despite the promising therapeutic potential of targeting telomeres and telomerase for therapy, translating this concept from the laboratory to the clinic remains challenging. Many candidate drugs remain in the experimental stage, with only a few advancing to clinical trials. This review explores the relationship between telomeres, telomerase, and cancer, synthesizing their roles as biomarkers and reviewing the outcomes of completed trials. We propose that changes in telomere length and telomerase activity can be used to stratify cancer stages. Furthermore, we suggest that differential expression of telomere and telomerase components at the subcellular level holds promise as a biomarker. From a therapeutic standpoint, combining telomerase-targeted therapies with drugs that mitigate the adverse effects of telomerase inhibition may offer a viable strategy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Chlorantraniliprole and tolfenpyrad has been used for the control of diamondback moth in kale around the world with a suspension concentrate formulation being prepared for marketing in China. In order to evaluate pesticide residues in kale and intake risks for different populations, a modified QuEChERS procedure of detecting chlorantraniliprole and tolfenpyrad were simultaneously established using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). The average recoveries of chlorantraniliprole and tolfenpyrad were in the range of 83–98%, with the precision of intra-day (n = 5) and inter-day (n = 15) ranging from 1.7 to 6.7% and from 2.1 to 4.7%, respectively. The limits of quantification were all 0.01 mg kg−1 in kale. Supervised filed trials were conducted in 12 regions of China, and results showed that residues of chlorantraniliprole and tolfenpyrad in kale were 0.01 to 0.17 and 0.01 to 0.11 mg kg−1, respectively, within the recommended pre-harvest interval (10 days). Based on these data, dietary risk assessments were performed. The long-term intake risk quotient (RQc) values for chlorantraniliprole and tolfenpyrad were 0.33% and 28.09% respectively, while the short-term risk quotient (RQa) values of the more toxic tolfenpyrad were 21% (children, 1–6 years old) and 52% (the general population, >1 years old) respectively, which were all lower than 100%, highlighting the higher chronic risk for children compared with that of the general population. However, the less than 100% value revealed that not only the long-term but also short-term risks were acceptable when consuming kale under Good Agricultural Practice conditions. Background: Puncture biopsy is a primary method for obtaining tissue or cell samples from tumors for histopathological diagnosis. However, patients often experience pain, anxiety, and discomfort during the procedure. Virtual reality is a novel technology developed through advancements in computer skill, and it is utilized in healthcare as a cognitive approach to relieve pain and relaxation. However, there is controversy in published trials regarding the efficacy of virtual reality in adults during puncture biopsy. Therefore, a synthesis of objective and accurate data is needed to support the efficacy of virtual reality for pain relief during puncture biopsy in adults. Method and analysis: To identify suitable randomized controlled trials, published literature in eight electronic databases will be searched, including PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Scopus, EMBASE, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wan-fang Data, and Chinese Biomedical Database (CBM). The collected data will be consolidated and subjected to meta-analysis by using RevMan 5.4. Mean difference will describe the continuous variables. 95% confidence intervals (CI) will characterize the interval estimates. Model categories will be selected based on heterogeneity. The quality of the inclusion of randomized controlled trials in terms of methodological quality will be assessed by the Cochrane Risk of Bias Assessment Tool. Additionally, strength and certainty of the evidence will be assessed by the GRADE system. Discussion: The following protocol delineates the fundamental process and methodology to be employed in a systematic review and meta-analysis of data pertaining to the efficacy of virtual reality in the context of adult puncture biopsy. The results of the study will furnish healthcare professionals with evidence-based clinical evidence, thereby facilitating sound clinical decision-making and yielding beneficial consequences for the clinical domain. Quite a lot of engineering friction components serve at high temperatures, and are thus required to have excellent friction and wear resistance. The said study aims to fabricate high-wear-resistance coating on ordinary low-cost materials, achieving the low-cost manufacturing of some high-end friction components that are usually made with expensive solid alloys. The coating was prepared via laser cladding with a sort of widely used Fe-based self-fluxing alloy powder. The chosen substrate material was forged 42CrMo, which is popular in high-temperature friction engineering applications. In order to achieve the best possible high-temperature friction and wear properties, the prepared coating was turned and then ultrasonic burnished. Three samples, i.e., the substrate sample, the cladded sample without burnishing, and the cladded sample with burnishing, were prepared. For the three samples, the surface characteristics and friction properties at a 200 °C temperature were compared and investigated. According to the results, the cladded sample with burnishing exhibited the best surface finishing and friction behavior. Ultrasonic burnishing after cladding led to a further hardness improvement of 15.24% when compared with the cladded sample without burnishing. Therefore, ultrasonic burnishing is an effective low-cost post-treatment method for a wearable coating serving at a high temperature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
