Simple Summary: Several differentially expressed genes encoding cytochrome P450 monooxygenases (P450s) and UDP-glycosyltransferases (UGTs), namely, CYP9Z140, CYP9AY1, and UGT321AP1, were screened and verified between thiamethoxam-susceptible and resistant populations of Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Say). The expression of the three genes was significantly enhanced after exposure to thiamethoxam. RNA interference of three genes increased mortality of test adults following thiamethoxam treatment. The findings reveal that the three genes have roles in the thiamethoxam resistance of L. decemlineata. Cytochrome P450 monooxygenases (P450s) and UDP-glycosyltransferases (UGTs) are involved in the evolution of insecticide resistance. Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Say), the Colorado potato beetle (CPB), is a notorious insect that has developed resistance to various insecticides including neonicotinoids. This study investigated whether the differentially expressed P450 genes CYP9Z140 and CYP9AY1 and UGT gene UGT321AP1, found in our transcriptome results, conferred resistance to thiamethoxam in L. decemlineata. Resistance monitoring showed that the sampled field populations of L. decemlineata adults collected from Urumqi City and Qapqal, Jimsar, and Mulei Counties of Xinjiang in 2021–2023 developed low levels of resistance to thiamethoxam with resistance ratios ranging from 6.66- to 9.52-fold. Expression analyses indicated that CYP9Z140, CYP9AY1, and UGT321AP1 were significantly upregulated in thiamethoxam-resistant populations compared with susceptible populations. The expression of all three genes also increased significantly after thiamethoxam treatment compared with the control. Spatiotemporal expression patterns showed that the highest expression of CYP9Z140 and CYP9AY1 occurred in pupae and the midgut, whereas UGT321AP1 was highly expressed in adults and Malpighian tubules. Knocking down all three genes individually or simultaneously using RNA interference increased the sensitivity of adult L. decemlineata to thiamethoxam. These results suggest that overexpression of CYP9Z140, CYP9AY1, and UGT321AP1 contributes to the development of thiamethoxam resistance in L. decemlineata and provides a scientific basis for improving new resistance management of CPB. While it has been recognized that the multipath structure of the underwater acoustic (UWA) channel offers the potential for compressed sensing (CS) sparsity exploitation, the rapidly time varying arrivals induced by highly dynamic surfaces unfortunately pose significant difficulties to channel estimation. From the viewpoint of underwater acoustic propagation, with the exception of the highly time varying arrivals caused by dynamic surface, generally there exist relatively stationary or slowly changing arrivals caused by direct path or bottom reflection, which imply the adoption of a discriminate estimation method to handle sparse components with different time variation scale. By modeling the time varying UWA channels as a sparse set consisting of constant and time-varying supports, in this paper, estimation of time varying UWA channel is transformed into a problem of dynamic compressed sensing sparse recovery. The combination of a Kalman filter and compressed sensing is adopted to pursue the solution of it. Numerical simulations demonstrate the superiority of the proposed algorithm. In the form of a channel-estimation-based decision-feedback equalizer, the experimental results with the field data obtained in a shallow water acoustic communication experiment indicate that the proposed dynamic compressed sensing algorithm outperforms classic algorithms as well as CS algorithms.

Sperm-derived genetic material contributes half of the genome to the embryo, hence it’s crucial to investigate which sperm parameter influences blastocyst formation in the intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) cycles with severe male infertility. The retrospective study analyzed 296 ICSI cycles with severe oligoasthenoteratozoospermia (OAT) and 99 ICSI cycles with preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A). Following the correlation analysis, data stratifications were performed in the OAT ICSI subgroup. The results showed that the matching blastocyst in the OAT ICSI cycles had inferior sperm parameters. DFI and sperm morphology had an influence on the blastocyst formation rate and the high-quality blastocysts formation rate on Day6, but no significant effect on the blastocyst development on Day 5. The high-quality blastocysts formation rate and ratio of high-quality blastocyst on Day 6 were demonstrably better in the subgroup of the teratozoospermic morphology when DFI was within the normal range. In the case of the normal sperm morphology, no statistically significant difference was found in blastocyst development, although there were numerical differences within different DFI subgroups. We consider a reaction-diffusion predator-prey model with predator-taxis, in which both the cost and the benefit induced by fear of predators are incorporated. In particular, the benefit of fear is reflected in the Beddington-DeAngelis functional response that can be derived in view of avoidance behaviours of prey. Critical conditions for Turing instability are determined with the help of the first Turing bifurcation curve in the two-parameter plane composed by the random diffusion rate of prey and the predator-taxis rate. For predator-taxis-induced bifurcation from simple eigenvalues, the existence and stability of non-homogeneous positive steady state solutions are established. Especially, we use decomposition in space and apply the implicit function theorem to obtain the bifurcation theorem with double eigenvalues. Theoretical and numerical results show that low predator-taxis sensitivity may cause the occurrence of spatial patterns when the random diffusion rate of prey is slow. However, the presence of predator-taxis can not lead to pattern formation when the random diffusion rate of prey is fast enough. In addition, increasing the level of fear may stabilize the system at the expense of the density of prey or predators. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the battery management system, the accurate estimation of State of Charge(SOC) has an important position, its impor- tance is not only to the user prompt battery remaining power, more is that it is the basis of the battery charge and discharge management and balanced control management.And SOC is affected by many factors, such as temperature and current size,direction,etc,so it is difficult to predict it accurately.In this paper, an extended Kalman filter(EKF) algorithm is proposed to estimate the SOC of lithium battery.The battery model was established, and the parameter identification was carried out through the Hybrid Pulse Power Characteristic(HPPC) test.The SOC estimation error of the model is about 2.1% under constant discharge,it shows that the model is effective and easy to apply.

In this paper, the solvability of a system of fully nonlinear Hilfer fractional differential equations on the half‐line is studied. Firstly, considering that the half‐line as the domain has the problem of insufficient compactness, we defined the space of weighting functions and normed the convergence at infinity. Secondly, by constructing appropriate operators in these Banach spaces and using the extension for the continuous theorem, some sufficient conditions for the solvability of the problem are obtained. Background: Dysregulation of immune surveillance is tightly linked to the development of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH)-driven hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC); however, its underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Herein, we aimed to determine the role of interleukin-21 receptor (IL-21R) in MASH-driven HCC. Methods: The clinical significance of IL-21R was assessed in human HCC specimens using immunohistochemistry staining. Furthermore, the expression of IL-21R in mice was assessed in the STAM model. Thereafter, two different MASH-driven HCC mouse models were applied between IL-21R-deficient mice and wild type controls to explore the role of IL-21R in MASH-driven HCC. To further elucidate the potential mechanisms by which IL-21R affected MASH-driven HCC, whole transcriptome sequencing, flow cytometry and adoptive lymphocyte transfer were performed. Finally, flow cytometry, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, immunofluorescent staining, chromatin immunoprecipitation assay and western blotting were conducted to explore the mechanism by which IL-21R induced IgA+ B cells. Results: HCC patients with high IL-21R expression exhibited poor relapse-free survival, advanced TNM stage and severe steatosis. Additionally, IL-21R was demonstrated to be upregulated in mouse liver tumors. Particularly, ablation of IL-21R impeded MASH-driven hepatocarcinogenesis with dramatically reduction of lipid accumulation. Moreover, cytotoxic CD8+ T lymphocyte activation was enhanced in the absence of IL-21R due to the reduction of immunosuppressive IgA+ B cells. Mechanistically, the IL-21R-STAT1-c-Jun/c-Fos regulatory axis was activated in MASH-driven HCC and thus promoted the transcription of Igha, resulting in the induction of IgA+ B cells. Conclusions: IL-21R plays a cancer-promoting role by inducing IgA+ B cells in MASH-driven hepatocarcinogenesis.
