The evaluation of urban underground space (UUS) suitability involves multiple indicators. Assigning weight to these indicators is crucial for accurate assessment. This paper presents a method for spatially variable weight assignment of indicators using the order relation analysis method (G1-method), the entropy weight method, an improved grey relational analysis (GRA) and a set of spatial weight adjustment coefficients. First, the subjective and objective weights of indicators for engineering geological and hydrogeological conditions were determined by the G1-method and entropy weight method, respectively, and their combined weights were then obtained using the principle of minimum discriminatory information. This study highlighted the impact of surface restrictions, such as buildings, on UUS, and the degree of the influence of these buildings gradually decreased with the increase in depth of the rock and soil mass in UUS, which resulted in changes in weights of indicators with depth. To address this issue, a coefficient was defined as the standardized value of the ratio of additional stress applied by restrictions to the self-weight stress of soil at the same depth to modify the combined weights so that all weights of indicators could vary in space. Finally, an improved GRA was used to determine the suitability level of each evaluation cell using the maximum correlation criterion. This method was applied to the 3D suitability evaluation of UUS in Sanlong Bay, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China, including 16 evaluation indexes. This study comprehensively considered the influence of multiple factors, thereby providing reference for evaluating the suitability of UUS in big cities.

Abstract Background Migratory insect infestation caused by Sogatella furcifera is a serious threat to rice production. The most effective method available for S. furcifera control is intensive insecticide spraying, which cause widespread resistance. RNA interference (RNAi) insecticides hold enormous potential in managing pest resistance. However, the instability and the poor efficiency of cross-kingdom RNA trafficking are key obstacles for the application in agricultural pest management. Methods We present dendritic mesoporous silica nanoparticles (DMSNs)-based nanocarrier for delivering siRNA and nitenpyram to inhibit the metabolic detoxification and development of S. furcifera, thereby preventing its proliferation. Results This nano complex (denoted as N@UK-siRNA/DMSNs) significantly enhanced the stability of siRNA (efficacy lasting 21 days) and released cargos in GSH or planthopper bodily fluid with a maximum release rate of 84.99%. Moreover, the released UK-siRNA targeting two transcription factors (Ultraspiracle and Krüppel-homolog 1) downregulated the developmental genes Ultraspiracle (0.09-fold) and Krüppel-homolog 1 (0.284-fold), and downstream detoxification genes ABC SfABCH4 (0.016-fold) and P450 CYP6FJ3 (0.367-fold). Conclusion The N@UK-siRNA/DMSNs inhibited pest development and detoxification, significantly enhancing susceptibility to nitenpyram to nanogram level (LC50 is 250–252 ng/mL), resulting in a 5.37–7.13-fold synergistic ratio. This work proposes a comprehensive management strategy for controlling S. furcifera to ensure the green and safe production of rice. Ultra-low-wear polyethylene (ULWPE) is a promising material for artificial joint implants, owing to its good biocompatibility and wear resistance. However, its molecular weight is almost an order of magnitude lower than that of Ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). The mechanism between wear resistance and the structure of ULWPE is still unknown. This study analyzed their attributes from microstructure to macroscopic performance and revealed the wear resistance mechanisms of ULWPE by conducting an in-depth investigation of four types of polyethylene, including ULWPE, UHMWPE, and high-density polyethylene. Impact tests showed that ULWPE, with a molecular weight of 282 kg/mol, exhibited an impact energy of 110 kJ/m2, surpassing the 97 kJ/m2 recorded for UHMWPE (molecular weight over 5000 kg/mol). Furthermore, tribology tests indicated that the wear rate of the most anti-wear ULWPE was 4.479 ± 0.040 mm³/Mc, which was significantly lower than the 5.601 ± 0.456 mm³/Mc for UHMWPE. The excellent mechanical properties and wear resistance of ULWPE were derived from its unique structure. Dynamic rheological assessments and thermal classification techniques confirmed that ULWPE had long-branched chains. The long-branched chains markedly increased the proportion of the high entanglement and the tie molecules in the amorphous regions, endowing it with superior toughness. At the same time, the high crystallinity of ULWPE gives it sufficient hardness and strength. The combination of high crystallinity and high entanglement endowed ULWPE with a good balance between strength and toughness, leading to its exceptional mechanical properties and wear resistance. This study provided robust data for ULWPE's clinical use and theoretical insights for designing durable, implantable polymers.

In the development of new electrochemical concepts for the fabrication of high-energy-density batteries, fluoride-ion batteries (FIBs) have emerged as one of the valid candidates for the next generation electrochemical energy storage technologies, showing the potential to match or even surpass the current lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) in terms of energy density, safety without dendritic grains, and elimination of dependence on scarce lithium and cobalt resources. However, the development of FIBs is still in its infancy and their performance is far from satisfactory, with issues such as the lower fluoride-ion conductivity of the electrolytes and the reversibility of the electrodes hindering their commercialization. Previous reviews have mainly focused on inorganic solid electrolytes with a brief emphasis on the development of various fluoride-ion conductors and their ion-conducting properties. Therefore, this review summarizes the current developments in various electrolytes, a systematic overview of the current progress for various fluoride-ion electrolytes is presented by beginning with the history, structure and classification of FIBs, ion-transport mechanisms are briefly discussed. Recent advances in different classes of fluoride-ion electrolytes are described. The methods for optimizing the ionic conductivity characteristics of the fluoride-ion electrolytes are highlighted. Finally, an outlook on the future research direction of FIBs is given by highlighting some critical issues, challenges and prospects of fluoride-ion electrolytes.

Introduction: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) as the malignant cancers with high morbidity. The EMT of HCC has closely linked to the metastasis and recurrence. Moreover, tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) can interact with HCC cells in the immune microenvironment; the M2 polarization of TAMs enhance the HCC cells EMT. The mechanism between HCC cells and TAMs is still unclear and our study was aimed to uncover it. Methods: We performed RT-qPCR and western to detach the RNA and protein expression. The relationship among has_circ_0000092, U2AF2, SMC1A and IL24 were revealed through mechanism experiments. Rescue assays were implemented to determine how circ_0000092 modulates M2 polarization of TAMs. Results: As detected by RT-qPCR, has_circ_0000092 was with high expression in HCC cells and could recruit U2AF2 to promote transcription of SMC1A. Moreover, circ_0000092 could control macrophage M2 polarization via promoting IL24 expression in HCC cells. Conclusion: To conclude, hsa_circ_0000092 can up-regulates IL24 by SMC1A to induce macrophages M2 polarization.

Abstract As the most prevalent epitranscriptomic modification, N6-methyladenosine (m6A) shows important roles in a variety of diseases through regulating the processing, stability and translation of target RNAs. However, the potential contributions of m6A to RNA functions are unclear. Here, we identified a functional and prognosis-related m6A-modified RNA SREBF2-AS1 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The expression of SREBF2-AS1 and SREBF2 in HCC tissues and cells was measured by RT-qPCR. m6A modification level of SREBF2-AS1 was measured by methylated RNA immunoprecipitation assay. The roles of SREBF2-AS1 in HCC progression and sorafenib resistance were investigated by proliferation, apoptosis, migration, and cell viability assays. The regulatory mechanisms of SREBF2-AS1 on SREBF2 were investigated by Chromatin isolation by RNA purification, RNA immunoprecipitation, CUT&RUN, and bisulfite DNA sequencing assays. Our findings showed that the expression of SREBF2-AS1 was increased in HCC tissues and cells, and positively correlated with poor survival of HCC patients. m6A modification level of SREBF2-AS1 was also increased in HCC and positively correlated with poor prognosis of HCC patients. METTL3 and METTL14-induced m6A modification upregulated SREBF2-AS1 expression through increasing SREBF2-AS1 transcript stability. Functional assays showed that only m6A-modified, but not non-modified SREBF2-AS1 promoted HCC progression and sorafenib resistance. Mechanistic investigations revealed that m6A-modified SREBF2-AS1 bound and recruited m6A reader FXR1 and DNA 5-methylcytosine dioxygenase TET1 to SREBF2 promoter, leading to DNA demethylation at SREBF2 promoter and the upregulation of SREBF2 transcription. Functional rescue assays showed that SREBF2 was the critical mediator of the oncogenic roles of SREBF2-AS1 in HCC. Together, this study showed that m6A-modified SREBF2-AS1 exerted oncogenic roles in HCC through inducing DNA demethylation and transcriptional activation of SREBF2, and suggested m6A-modified SREBF2-AS1 as a prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for HCC.

Abstract N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is the most common RNA modification in eukaryotic RNAs. Although the important roles of m6A in RNA fate have been revealed, the potential contribution of m6A to RNA function in various diseases, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), is still unclear. In this study, we identified a novel m6A-modified RNA AC026356.1. We found that AC026356.1 was increased in HCC tissues and cell lines. High expression of AC026356.1 was correlated with poor survival of HCC patients. m6A modification level of AC026356.1 was also increased in HCC and more significantly correlated with poor survival of HCC patients. Functional assays showed that m6A-modified AC026356.1 promoted HCC cellular proliferation, migration, and liver metastasis. Gene set enrichment analysis showed that AC026356.1 activated IL11/STAT3 signaling. Mechanistic investigation showed that m6A-modified AC026356.1 bound to IGF2BP1. The interaction between m6A-modified AC026356.1 and IGF2BP1 promoted the binding of IL11 mRNA to IGF2BP1, leading to increased IL11 mRNA stability and IL11 secretion. Functional rescue assays showed that depletion of IL11 reversed the oncogenic roles of AC026356.1. These findings revealed the potential influences of m6A modification on RNA biological functions and suggested that targeting m6A modification may be a novel strategy for HCC treatment.

Summary: Obesity and overweight are significant global health issues, and numerous obesity intervention studies have been conducted. Summarizing current knowledge of interventions aims to inform researchers and policymakers to keep up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements and trends. In this review, we comprehensively retrieved and screened 4,541 studies on obesity intervention published between 2018 and 2022 in the Web of Science Core Collection, and objectively presented research frontiers using bibliometric analysis. The research frontiers of intervention are mainly focused on dietary, exercise, pharmacological interventions, bariatric surgery, environmental, and cognitive interventions. Time-restricted eating is the hottest research topic, followed by probiotics and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. Gut microbiota is located in the “Basic and transversal themes” quadrant with a high centrality and low density, which has great development potentiality. Obesity intervention is becoming increasingly common,and we advocate for researchers to undertake more focused research endeavors that consider the specific characteristics of diverse populations or patients.

Abstract With the rapid development of novel energy conversion and storage technologies, there is a growing demand for enhanced performance in a wide range of electrocatalysts. Perovskite oxides (ABO3) have caused widespread concerns due to their excellent electrocatalytic properties, low cost, stable and reliable performance. In recent years, the research on anion O‐site doping of perovskite oxides has been a cynosure, which is considered as a promising route for enhancing performance. However, a systematic review summarizing the research progress of anion‐doped perovskite oxides is still lacking. Therefore, this review mainly introduces the elements and strategies of various common anions doped at O‐site of perovskite oxides, analyzes their influence on the physical and chemical properties of perovskites, and separately concludes their applications in electrocatalysis. This review will provide ideas and prospects for the development of subsequent anion doping strategies for high performance perovskite oxides.

Urban development continues to reduce the amount of available ground space. The development of underground space is thus gathering increasing attention to alleviate ground congestion. However, there is currently a lack of a three-dimensional (3D) evaluation method to systematically evaluate the geological conditions of underground space and possible geological disaster risks caused by rock and soil masses. This paper presents an engineering geological suitability assessment framework based on 3D geological modeling and an analytic hierarchy process (AHP)-cloud model. As the basis for 3D evaluation, a 3D structural model of the study area is established based on the drilling data and geological profiles. Then the structural model is partitioned to obtain interpolation grids, and the ordinary Kriging interpolation method is applied to attribute interpolation. All the attributes are exported from the geological model, and the rock and soil masses are divided into four categories according to their engineering properties, namely soft soil, sandy soil, cohesive soil, and rock, upon which a targeted hierarchy structure is established based on the attributes that impact the suitability. This paper introduces the cloud model to characterize the uncertainty of these evaluation indexes, which synthesizes an AHP method, thus it is referred to as the AHP-cloud model. This new model is used to evaluate the geological suitability of underground space in the Sanlong Bay district, Foshan City, Guangdong, China. In addition, we also determine the excavation difficulty at different depths according to the lithology and weathering degree of the study area. The limitations and future directions of the proposed method are discussed, including the influencing factors and weight determination.
