AgTeO2F and Ag2(TeO2F2) are the first silver fluorotellurites, while Ag3F3(TeF6)(TeO2)12 is the first silver fluoride tellurite. Ag3F3(TeF6)(TeO2)12 features an NCS mixed valence Te oxyfluoride with an SHG intensity of about 70% that of commercial KDP.

Recently, organic–inorganic hybrid lead halides have been explored as photoluminescent (PL) materials with flexible structural tunabilities and high photoluminescence quantum efficiencies, which can be modified by the structure regulating functions of organic cations. Here, by adopting different saturated organic cations as structure directing agents (SDAs), a series of organic–inorganic hybrid lead halides have been solvothermally synthesized and characterized with different structural types. Compound [(CH3)2NH2]2[H2DABCO]2Pb3I12 (1, DABCO = 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]-octane) features a linear zero-dimensional (0D) [Pb3I12]6− trimer, and [(Me)6-en]2Pb3I10 (2) and [H2N-Prpipz]2Pb3Br10 (3) contain two different types of one-dimensional (1D) [Pb3X10]4− chains based on the C3-symterric [Pb3X11] trimer and [PbX6] unit, respectively. In the structures of H[(Me)2-DABCO]Pb3I9 (4) and H[(Me)4-pipz]Pb3I9 (5, pipz = piperazine), the C3-symmetric [Pb3I11] trimers are interlinked to form the same two-dimensional (2D) corrugated [Pb3I9]3− layers. Under the excitation of UV irradiation, these hybrid lead halides exhibit tunable luminescence properties from yellow, orange to red emissions with the largest Stokes shift of 335 nm. The PL nature is also investigated based on temperature-dependent PL emission, time-resolved PL and theoretical calculations, etc. These hybrid lead halides provide new types of structural models to probe into the PL properties and understand the underlying structure–property relationship.

Aiming at the difficulty of manufacturing error detection of internal cavity structural parts, a detection method of common manufacturing error based on industrial CT images was proposed. Firstly, the image sequence of part scanned by an industrial CT machine is converted into a three-dimensional measurement model; Then, the registration of the three-dimensional measurement model with the original design model is completed; The surface information of the part is obtained by segmenting surfaces of the three-dimensional measurement model; Next, the datum surface is selected, the error value of the test surface is calculated after selecting datum surface; Finally, the detection result is obtained by comparing the error value with the tolerance value, analyzing the result and the areas that do not meet the tolerance requirements is visualized in the developed software system. The common manufacturing errors of complex inner cavity parts can be detected by the method, such as dimension error of length, planeness error, cylindricity error, parallelism and perpendicularity error of face-to-face, at the same time, it can intuitively show the area whose manufacturing errors in the cavity structure of the parts are not satisfied, which provides a basis for judging the quality of manufacturing and processing of parts.

Herein, by using a structural design strategy of incorporating hetrometallic halide blocks, we prepared the first 3D bimetallic halide of [H2DABCO]2Cu6PbBr12 with new topological network based on two types of 6-connected nodes. Remarkably, this 3D framework displays highly efficient thermochromic luminescence from broadband yellow to green light emissions with remarkable stability.

This study is an approach to investigate the transformations curve of gearing safety. Two types of failure can occur on a gear namely the bending stress and the surface pitting failure. There are many standards for gearing in used worldwide such as AGMA, JGMA, ISO, DIN, etc. but the focus of this study will be on AGMA standard. The main data for this study is the torque value applied which can be distinguished into causing bending strength or surface pitting failure. The Autodesk Inventor spur gear component accelerator was used as a tool for data acquisition based on the AGMA standard of calculations. Two gear materials with high value of allowable contact stress compared to its allowable bending stress was chosen for the study as they are predicted to have a transformation curve from surface durability to bending strength when its torque values are plotted against number of teeth. This is then repeated on various gear modules for both materials to obtain a series of combination curves useful in determining the maximum torque that can be applied on the spur gear before failures occur either by bending stress or surface pitting depending on the curve.

By adding polymeric emulsifier, acrylic emulsion as the fabric stiffening agent with core-shell structure was synthesized visa monomer concentration gradient dropwise addition method. The effect of synthetic condition such as the content of polymeric emulsifier and ratio of soft monomer (BA)/hard monomer (MMA) on properties of acrylic emulsion were studied in detail, and the role of polymeric emulsifier during the process of the film-forming was also discussed. Films after tackiness resistance, minimum filming temperature (MFT) and glass transition temperature (Tg) were tested by QNF, QMB type measuring instrument and differential scanning calorimeters (DSC), respectively. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observed the morphology of latex particles. Results showed 40wt% polymeric emulsifier was the best emulsifying system in term of emulsion stability, after tackiness resistance, MFT and appearance of the emulsion. DSC analysis confirmed that the polymeric emulsifier and acrylic emulsion could not fully achieve thermodynamic compatibility. In addition, TEM results showed that latex particles prepared by monomer concentration gradient dropwise addition method had obvious core-shell structure. Hydrogen-bond interaction between polymeric emulsifiers carboxyls played a great role in the film-forming process, so polymeric emulsifier could improve films after tackiness resistance and MFT.

In this study, the organic-inorganic composite elastic latex was prepared by using the polymerization process of pre-emulsification semi-continuous combined monomer dropping and investigated for the effect of the manner of the introduction of inorganic component and the amount of silica on the mechanical properties of the polymer film and water absorption. The results show that, when the sol is introduced with emulsion by the physical blending method and TEOS and A-151 are introduced together, the amount of them are respectively 1.5% and 9%, the organic-inorganic composite emulsion can be prepared. Meanwhile, if SiO2is added by the way of TEOS and A-151, the best film properties of organic-inorganic acrylate flexible latex will be obtained .
