Large quantities of phthalic acid esters (PAEs) are released and migrate into the environment continuously and become ubiquitous in soil, surface water, groundwater and other areas, eventually leading to serious environmental pollution. Therefore, the methods of PAEs mineralization have become a hot research topic. In this study, a highly efficient dimethyl phthalate (DMP)-degrading bacterium capable of utilizing DMP as the sole source of carbon and energy was isolated from frozen soil collected from a refuse disposal station. The DMP-degrading bacterium was identified as Pseudomonas sp. QDF12 according to the phylogeny of 16S rDNA sequence. The degradation process well fitted a first-order kinetic model, with a half-life of 9.8 h and the highest degradation rate of 20.19 mg/L•h at 15.0 °C. The fermentation conditions that enhanced the fermentation of biomass were optimized via Plackett-Burman design and response surface methodology. Finally, the carbon-nitrogen ratio, CaCO3, temperature and shaking speed were identified as key factors. Verification experiments indicated that the maximal biomass was 1.85 × 109 cfu/mL under the optimized conditions, which was 134.18% and 66.67% higher than those obtained under the Luria broth medium and the basic fermentation conditions, respectively. The time and temperature of fermentation were reduced to 12 h and 12.0 °C respectively. In conclusion, the strain QDF12 is more suitable for application in low-temperature areas owing to its fast, efficient fermentation and low-temperature resistance. Because of the shorter fermentation period and lower fermentation temperature, the large-scale commercial application of strain QDF12 will reduce the production costs and accelerate the fermentation speed.

Sentiment and emotion embody intrinsic experience of human cognition, both of which profoundly influences cognitive processes in humans. The commonality between sentiment and emotion leads to a fact that sentiment classification and emotion recognition are two correlated tasks in cognitive science and artificial intelligence. One task improves its performance by leveraging similarities and differences across tasks. However, recent works have often treated them as two separately different tasks, where their commonalities are largely neglected. To fill this gap, we propose a multi-task interactive graph attention network with position encodings, termed MIP-GAT. The main proposal is a multi-interactive graph layer where syntactic dependency connection, cross-task connection and position encodings are constructed and incorporated into a unified graphical structure. Empirical evaluation on two benchmarking datasets, i.e., CMU-MOSEI and GoEmotions, shows the effectiveness of the proposed model over state-of-the-art baselines. In addition, we also explore the superiority and limitations of the proposed model.

Stenters play a crucial role in the post-treatment of fabric dyeing and finishing, which is mainly used for drying and heat setting. However, the influence of the orifice structure on the heat-moisture distribution characteristics of the fabric surface is not clear when the air duct sprays high-speed airflow. In this paper, the drying rate of fabrics under four different orifice types (circular orifice, elliptical orifice, square orifice, and slits orifice) are analyzed using numerical method, then the distribution characteristics of heat and moisture on the fabric surface are explored by accurately describing the gas-liquid conversion process. The results show that the elliptical orifice jet has the best heat-moisture distribution on the fabric surface and has a moderate drying rate compared to other orifice types, the decrease of jet height and the increase of orifice size will lead to the increase of fabric drying rate, the thermal action distance of the control region of elliptical orifice jet is obtained. Furthermore, multiple nonlinear methods were used to conduct regression analysis on the changes in fabric moisture content under the influence of the above factors. The numerical results have been verified by experiments, and the relative deviation is within 10%. The research is important for optimizing the air supply system of stenters and improving fabric product quality.

In recent years,the encoder-decoder framework based on self-attention mechanism has become the mainstream model in image captioning.However,self-attention in the encoder only models the visual relations of low-scale features,ignoring some effective information in high-scale visual features,thus affecting the quality of the generated descriptions.To solve this problem,this paper proposes a cross-scale feature fusion self-attention(CFFSA) method for image captioning.Specifically,CFFSA integrates low-scale and high-scale visual features in self-attention to improve the range of attention from a visual perspective,which increases effective visual information and reduces noise,thereby learning more accurate visual and semantic relationships.Experiments on MS COCO dataset show that the proposed method can more accurately capture the relationship between cross-scale visual features and generate more accurate descriptions.In addition,CFFSA is a general method,which can further improve the performance of the model by combining with other self-attention based image captioning methods.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of combining pulsed dye laser (PDL) and ablative fractional carbon dioxide laser (AFCL) in the treatment of scars in pediatric patients, as well as to identify appropriate treatment parameters, initial treatment timing, and treatment intervals through a systematic literature review. A literature search was conducted between April 6, 2014 and April 6, 2024 in four databases to select studies on the effects of the combination of carbon dioxide fractional laser and pulsed dye laser therapy in children hypertrophic burn scars. This systematic literature review included 497 participants across 8 studies, with individual study sample sizes ranging from 17 to 125 participants. 7 studies reported the gender distribution of participants, with a higher proportion of males (60%, n = 264) than females (40%, n = 170). The average age of the patients was 7.18 years, and scald (62%, n = 235) were identified as the primary cause of scar. The combination therapy of 595 nm PDL and 10,600 nm AFCL significantly improved Vancouver Scar Scale (VSS) / Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS) score. Study treatment intervals were approximately 1–2 months for simultaneous treatment and 1 month for PDL and 3 months for AFCL for sequential treatment. Two studies investigated the efficacy of early laser therapy (< 3 months), the AFCL laser energy parameters ranged from 30 mJ-50 mJ, significantly lower than the rest of the studies of laser energy parameters, which ranged from 50 mJ-120 mJ. The PDL energy density parameters showed little difference from study to study and were in the range of 5–12 J/cm2. Complications after treatment (4%, n = 22), with rash being the most common (50%, n = 11). Rational use of PDL combined with AFCL (lower laser energy, increase density parameters, shorten treatment intervals (< 1 month)) can safely and effectively treat hypertrophic scars in pediatric burn patients and is superior to single-type laser therapy in efficacy. Abstract Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are well-known to participate in a variety of important regulatory processes in myogenesis. In our previous RNA-seq study (accession number GSE58755), we found that lncRNA-FKBP1C was differentially expressed between White Recessive Rock (WRR) and Xinghua (XH) chicken. Here, we have further demonstrated that lncRNA-FKBP1C interacted directly with MYH1B by biotinylated RNA pull-down assay and RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP). Protein stability and degradation experiments identified that lncRNA-FKBP1C enhanced the protein stability of MYH1B. Overexpression of lncRNA-FKBP1C inhibited myoblasts proliferation, promoted myoblasts differentiation, and participated in the formation of skeletal muscle fibers. LncRNA-FKBP1C could downregulate the fast muscle genes and upregulate slow muscle genes. Conversely, its interference promoted cell proliferation, repressed cell differentiation, and drove the transformation of slow-twitch muscle fibers to fast-twitch muscle fibers. Similar results were observed after knockdown of the MYH1B gene, but the difference was that the MYH1B gene had no effects on fast muscle fibers. In short, these data demonstrate that lncRNA-FKBP1C could bound with MYH1B and enhance its protein stability, thus affecting proliferation, differentiation of myoblasts and conversion of skeletal muscle fiber types.
