Psychological consultation is essential for improving mental health and well-being, yet challenges such as the shortage of qualified professionals and scalability issues limit its accessibility. To address these challenges, we explore the use of large language models (LLMs) like GPT-4 to augment psychological consultation services. Our approach introduces a novel layered prompting system that dynamically adapts to user input, enabling comprehensive and relevant information gathering. We also develop empathy-driven and scenario-based prompts to enhance the LLM's emotional intelligence and contextual understanding in therapeutic settings. We validated our approach through experiments using a newly collected dataset of psychological consultation dialogues, demonstrating significant improvements in response quality. The results highlight the potential of our prompt engineering techniques to enhance AI-driven psychological consultation, offering a scalable and accessible solution to meet the growing demand for mental health support.

This work presents an asymptotic stability result concerning the self-similar Blasius profiles $[\bar{u}, \bar{v}]$ of the stationary Prandtl boundary layer equation. Initially demonstrated by Serrin \cite{MR0282585}, the profiles $[\bar{u}, \bar{v}]$ were shown to act as a self-similar attractor of solutions $[u, v]$ to the Prandtl equation through the use of von Mises transform and maximal principle techniques. Specifically, as $x \to \infty$, $\|u - \bar{u}\|_{L^{\infty}_{y}} \to 0$. Iyer \cite{MR4097332} employed refined energy methods to derive an explicit convergence rate for initial data close to Blasius. Wang and Zhang \cite{MR4657422} utilized barrier function methods, removing smallness assumptions but imposing stronger asymptotic conditions on the initial data. It was suggested that the optimal convergence rate should be $\|u-\bar{u}\|_{L^{\infty}_{y}}\lesssim (x+1)^{-\frac{1}{2}}$, treating the stationary Prandtl equation as a 1-D parabolic equation in the entire space. In this study, we establish that $\|u - \bar{u}\|_{L^{\infty}_{y}} \lesssim (x+1)^{-1}$. Our proof relies on discovering nearly conserved low-frequency quantities and inherent degenerate structures at the boundary, which enhance the convergence rate through iteration techniques. Notably, the convergence rate we have demonstrated is optimal. We can find special solutions of Prandtl's equation such that the convergence between the solutions and the Blasius profile is exact, represented as $ (x+1)^{-1} $.

A non-extensive (3+1)-dimensional hydrodynamic model for multi-particle production processes, NEX-CLVisc, is developed in the framework of CLVisc where the viscous corrections are turned off. It assumes that the non-extensive effects consistently exist in the initial conditions set by the optical Glauber model, the equation of state and the hadron kinetic freeze-out procedure. The model is then applied to simulate the pseudo-rapidity ($\eta$) distribution, the transverse momentum ($p_{\rm T}$) spectra and the $p_{\rm T}$-differential elliptic flow ($v_2$) of charged particles in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=$ 2.76 TeV and 5.02 TeV, respectively. It is found that the model can reasonably well reproduce the experimental data of the $\eta$ distribution and the charged-particle spectra in a $p_{\rm T}$ range up to 6-8 GeV/c. When compared with the ideal hydrodynamic model, the $p_{\rm T}$-differential $v_2$ of charged particles is suppressed in the NEX-CLVisc model, which is similar to that observed in the viscous hydrodynamic model. Moreover, due to the lack of the viscous corrections and the event-by-event fluctuation, the model can only describe the $p_{\rm T}$-differential $v_2$ up to 4 GeV/c, which is smaller than the applicable range for the particle $p_{\rm T}$ spectra., Comment: 8 pages, 4 figures, 4 tables

This paper studies the geodesics connecting two time-like separated boundary points in asymptotically anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetime. We find that in spherically symmetry Schwarzschild AdS black hole, smooth space-like geodesics can connect timelike-separated points by winding around the horizon multiple times. Similar result will also happen in modified BTZ black hole which contains photon ring in the bulk. According to recent holographic proposal on time-like entanglement entropy, our result suggests that, if there is photon ring/sphere in the bulk, then the time-like entanglement entropy AdS3/CFT2 duality may not have an imaginary part and so further understanding may be necessary., Comment: Corrected some textual errors and fixed the issue with line colors in Figure 6

Inspired by the BESIII newest observation of X(2370) glueball-like particle, we search its productions in both $e^+e^-$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 4.95 GeV and proton-proton (pp) collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 13 TeV with a parton and hadron cascade model PACIAE. In this model, the final partonic state (FPS) and the final hadronic state (FHS) are consecutively simulated and recorded. The X(2370) glueball- or tetraquark-state is then, respectively, recombined by two gluons or four quarks $ss\bar{s}\bar{s}$ in the FPS using the quantum statistical mechanics inspired dynamically constrained phase-space coalescence (DCPC) model. The X(2370) molecular-state is recombined by the baryon-antibaryon of $\Lambda$-$\bar{\Lambda}$ or $\Sigma$-$\bar{\Sigma}$, or by three mesons of $\pi^+\pi^{-}\eta'$, $K^+K^-\eta'$, or $K_S^0K_S^0\eta'$ in the FHS using DCPC model. In both $e^+e^-$ and pp collisions, significant discrepancies in the yields, the transverse momentum spectra and the rapidity distributions among the X(2370) glueball-, tetraquark-, and molecular-state are observed. These discrepancies are proposed as valuable criteria identifying the X(2370) different states from each other. Our results not only support the BESIII observation of glueball-like particle $\rm X(2370)$ production in $e^+e^-$ collisions, but also serve as a prediction for the $\rm X(2370)$ production in pp collisions. Semi-supervised multi-label learning (SSMLL) is a powerful framework for leveraging unlabeled data to reduce the expensive cost of collecting precise multi-label annotations. Unlike semi-supervised learning, one cannot select the most probable label as the pseudo-label in SSMLL due to multiple semantics contained in an instance. To solve this problem, the mainstream method developed an effective thresholding strategy to generate accurate pseudo-labels. Unfortunately, the method neglected the quality of model predictions and its potential impact on pseudo-labeling performance. In this paper, we propose a dual-perspective method to generate high-quality pseudo-labels. To improve the quality of model predictions, we perform dual-decoupling to boost the learning of correlative and discriminative features, while refining the generation and utilization of pseudo-labels. To obtain proper class-wise thresholds, we propose the metric-adaptive thresholding strategy to estimate the thresholds, which maximize the pseudo-label performance for a given metric on labeled data. Experiments on multiple benchmark datasets show the proposed method can achieve the state-of-the-art performance and outperform the comparative methods with a significant margin.

Spontaneous symmetry breaking (SSB) is crucial to the occurrence of phase transitions. Once a phase transition occurs, a quantum system presents degenerate eigenstates that lack the symmetry of the Hamiltonian. After crossing the critical point, the system is essentially evolved to a quantum superposition of these eigenstates until decoherence sets in. Despite the fundamental importance and potential applications in quantum technologies, such quantum-mechanical SSB phenomena have not been experimentally explored in many-body systems. We here present an experimental demonstration of the SSB process in the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model, governed by the competition between the individual driving and intra-qubit interaction. The model is realized in a circuit quantum electrodynamics system, where 6 Xmon qubits are coupled in an all-to-all manner through virtual photon exchange mediated by a resonator. The observed nonclassical correlations among these qubits in the symmetry-breaking region go beyond the conventional description of SSB, shedding new light on phase transitions for quantum many-body systems., Comment: 27 pages, 18 figures

Dynamic scene video deblurring aims to remove undesirable blurry artifacts captured during the exposure process. Although previous video deblurring methods have achieved impressive results, they suffer from significant performance drops due to the domain gap between training and testing videos, especially for those captured in real-world scenarios. To address this issue, we propose a domain adaptation scheme based on a blurring model to achieve test-time fine-tuning for deblurring models in unseen domains. Since blurred and sharp pairs are unavailable for fine-tuning during inference, our scheme can generate domain-adaptive training pairs to calibrate a deblurring model for the target domain. First, a Relative Sharpness Detection Module is proposed to identify relatively sharp regions from the blurry input images and regard them as pseudo-sharp images. Next, we utilize a blurring model to produce blurred images based on the pseudo-sharp images extracted during testing. To synthesize blurred images in compliance with the target data distribution, we propose a Domain-adaptive Blur Condition Generation Module to create domain-specific blur conditions for the blurring model. Finally, the generated pseudo-sharp and blurred pairs are used to fine-tune a deblurring model for better performance. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our approach can significantly improve state-of-the-art video deblurring methods, providing performance gains of up to 7.54dB on various real-world video deblurring datasets. The environment-induced dissipation of an open system, once thought as a nuisance, can actually lead to emergence of many intriguing phenomena that are absent in an isolated system. Among these, Weyl exceptional rings (WER), extended from point-like singularities, are particularly interesting. Theoretically, a WER was predicted to carry a topological charge with a nonzero Chern number, but it has not been measured so far. We here investigate this topology in a circuit, where the WER is synthesized with a superconducting qubit controllably coupled to a decaying resonator. The high flexibility of the system enables us to characterize its eigenvectors on different manifolds of parameter space. We extract both the quantized Berry phase and Chern number from these eigenvectors. Spontaneous symmetry breaking (SSB) plays a central role in understanding a large variety of phenomena associated with phase transitions, such as superfluid and superconductivity. So far, the transition from a symmetric vacuum to a macroscopically ordered phase has been substantially explored. The process bridging these two distinct phases is critical to understanding how a classical world emerges from a quantum phase transition, but so far remains unexplored in experiment. We here report an experimental demonstration of such a process with a quantum Rabi model engineered with a superconducting circuit. We move the system from the normal phase to the superradiant phase featuring two symmetry-breaking field components, one of which is observed to emerge as the classical reality. We investigate the quantum phase transition in the anisotropic Dicke model through an examination of the quantum geometric tensor of the ground state. In this analysis, two distinct classical limits exhibit their unique anisotropic characteristics. The classical spin limit demonstrates a preference for the rotating-wave coupling, whereas the classical oscillator limit exhibits symmetry in the coupling strength of the bias. The anisotropic features of the classical spin limit persist at finite scales. Furthermore, we observe that the interplay among the anisotropic ratio, spin length, and frequency ratio can collectively enhance the critical behaviors. This critical enhancement without trade-off between these factors provides a flexible method for quantum precision measurement.

The rotation curve is significant to research on dark matter and the structure of the Milky Way. But it is a great challenge to measure rotation curve accurately, and different ways obtain distinct results. In this work, we use a DIY small radio telescope to carry out hydrogen 21-cm line observations on campus, and calculate the rotation curve of inner disk by tangent method based on the model of Przemek et al. (the rotation speed of the Sun $v(R_0)=233.6\pm2.8$ km/s, and distance to the Galactic center $R_0=8.122\pm0.031$ kpc). Furthermore, we obtain the distribution of spiral arms in the Milky Way with our data by adopting different rotation curve models. We also compare our rotation curve result with previous works, analyse the possible measurement error in the tangent method, and discuss the consistence of our result with others.

The key to multi-label image classification (MLC) is to improve model performance by leveraging label correlations. Unfortunately, it has been shown that overemphasizing co-occurrence relationships can cause the overfitting issue of the model, ultimately leading to performance degradation. In this paper, we provide a causal inference framework to show that the correlative features caused by the target object and its co-occurring objects can be regarded as a mediator, which has both positive and negative impacts on model predictions. On the positive side, the mediator enhances the recognition performance of the model by capturing co-occurrence relationships; on the negative side, it has the harmful causal effect that causes the model to make an incorrect prediction for the target object, even when only co-occurring objects are present in an image. To address this problem, we propose a counterfactual reasoning method to measure the total direct effect, achieved by enhancing the direct effect caused only by the target object. Due to the unknown location of the target object, we propose patching-based training and inference to accomplish this goal, which divides an image into multiple patches and identifies the pivot patch that contains the target object. Experimental results on multiple benchmark datasets with diverse configurations validate that the proposed method can achieve state-of-the-art performance.

We study the dynamics of the two dimensional Navier-Stokes equations linearized around a shear flow on a (non-square) torus which possesses exactly two non-degenerate critical points. We obtain linear inviscid damping and vorticity depletion estimates for the linearized flow that are uniform with respect to the viscosity, and enhanced dissipation type decay estimates. The main task is to understand the associated Rayleigh and Orr-Sommerfeld equations, under the natural assumption that the linearized operator around the shear flow in the inviscid case has no discrete eigenvalues. Critical systems near quantum phase transitions were predicted to be useful for improvement of metrological precision, thanks to their ultra-sensitive response to a tiny variation of the control Hamiltonian. Despite the promising perspective, realization of criticality-enhanced quantum metrology is an experimentally challenging task, mainly owing to the extremely long time needed to encode the signal to some physical quantity of a critical system. We here circumvent this problem by making use of the critical behaviors in the Jaynes-Cummings model, comprising a single qubit and a photonic resonator, to which the signal field is coupled. The information about the field amplitude is encoded in the qubit's excitation number in the dark state, which displays a divergent changing rate at the critical point. The most remarkable feature of this critical sensor is that the performance is insensitive to the leakage to bright eigenstates, caused by decoherence and non-adiabatic effects. We demonstrate such a metrological protocol in a superconducting circuit, where an Xmon qubit, interacting with a resonator, is used as a probe for estimating the amplitude of a microwave field coupled to the resonator. The impact of rotation on the deconfinement phase transition under the EM system of the soft and the hard wall models in holographic QCD is studied in this paper. The metric by cylindrical coordinates with rotation is introduced into the system to calculate the Hawking temperature. The first holographic study on the influence of the radius of a homogeneous rotating system on the phase diagram is proposed. It is found that the phase transition temperature hardly changes with the rotation angular velocity for a small rotation radius. Only with a larger rotation radius can the change in rotational angular velocity significantly alter the phase transition temperature. Stereo matching methods based on iterative optimization, like RAFT-Stereo and IGEV-Stereo, have evolved into a cornerstone in the field of stereo matching. However, these methods struggle to simultaneously capture high-frequency information in edges and low-frequency information in smooth regions due to the fixed receptive field. As a result, they tend to lose details, blur edges, and produce false matches in textureless areas. In this paper, we propose Selective Recurrent Unit (SRU), a novel iterative update operator for stereo matching. The SRU module can adaptively fuse hidden disparity information at multiple frequencies for edge and smooth regions. To perform adaptive fusion, we introduce a new Contextual Spatial Attention (CSA) module to generate attention maps as fusion weights. The SRU empowers the network to aggregate hidden disparity information across multiple frequencies, mitigating the risk of vital hidden disparity information loss during iterative processes. To verify SRU's universality, we apply it to representative iterative stereo matching methods, collectively referred to as Selective-Stereo. Our Selective-Stereo ranks $1^{st}$ on KITTI 2012, KITTI 2015, ETH3D, and Middlebury leaderboards among all published methods. The rise of large language models (LLMs) has revolutionized the way that we interact with artificial intelligence systems through natural language. However, LLMs often misinterpret user queries because of their uncertain intention, leading to less helpful responses. In natural human interactions, clarification is sought through targeted questioning to uncover obscure information. Thus, in this paper, we introduce LaMAI (Language Model with Active Inquiry), designed to endow LLMs with this same level of interactive engagement. LaMAI leverages active learning techniques to raise the most informative questions, fostering a dynamic bidirectional dialogue. This approach not only narrows the contextual gap but also refines the output of the LLMs, aligning it more closely with user expectations. Our empirical studies, across a variety of complex datasets where LLMs have limited conversational context, demonstrate the effectiveness of LaMAI. The method improves answer accuracy from 31.9% to 50.9%, outperforming other leading question-answering frameworks. Moreover, in scenarios involving human participants, LaMAI consistently generates responses that are superior or comparable to baseline methods in more than 82% of the cases. The applicability of LaMAI is further evidenced by its successful integration with various LLMs, highlighting its potential for the future of interactive language models.

Arrays of neutral atoms have emerged as promising platforms for quantum computing. Realization of high-fidelity two-qubit gates with robustness is currently a significant important task for large-scale operations. In this paper, we present a convenient approach for implementing a two-qubit controlled-phase gate using Rydberg blockade. We achieve the noncyclic geometric control with a single modulated pulse. As compared with the control scheme by cyclic evolution that determined by dynamical parameters, the robustness of the proposal against systematic errors will be remarkably improved due to the geometric characteristic. Importantly, the noncyclic geometric control reduces the gate time for small rotation angles and will be more insensitive to the decoherence effect. We accelerate the adiabatic control with the aid of shortcuts to adiabaticity to further shorten the operation time. We apply our protocol to the algorithm of quantum Fourier transformation to show the actual acceleration. Therefore, the proposed scheme will provide an analytical waveforms for arbitrary two-qubit gates and may have important use in the experiments of atomic arrays., Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures

The braiding operations of quantum states have attracted substantial attention due to their great potential for realizing topological quantum computations. In this paper, we show that a three-fold degenerate eigen subspace can be obtained in a four-level Hamiltonian which is the minimal physical system. Braiding operations are proposed to apply to dressed states in the subspace. The topology of the braiding diagram can be characterized through physical methods once that the sequential braiding pulses are adopted. We establish an equivalent relationship function between the permutation group and the output states where different output states correspond to different values of the function. The topological transition of the braiding happens when two operations overlap, which is detectable through the measurement of the function. Combined with the phase variation method, we can analyze the wringing pattern of the braiding. Collecting real-world optical flow datasets is a formidable challenge due to the high cost of labeling. A shortage of datasets significantly constrains the real-world performance of optical flow models. Building virtual datasets that resemble real scenarios offers a potential solution for performance enhancement, yet a domain gap separates virtual and real datasets. This paper introduces FlowDA, an unsupervised domain adaptive (UDA) framework for optical flow estimation. FlowDA employs a UDA architecture based on mean-teacher and integrates concepts and techniques in unsupervised optical flow estimation. Furthermore, an Adaptive Curriculum Weighting (ACW) module based on curriculum learning is proposed to enhance the training effectiveness. Experimental outcomes demonstrate that our FlowDA outperforms state-of-the-art unsupervised optical flow estimation method SMURF by 21.6%, real optical flow dataset generation method MPI-Flow by 27.8%, and optical flow estimation adaptive method FlowSupervisor by 30.9%, offering novel insights for enhancing the performance of optical flow estimation in real-world scenarios. Parametrically driven nonlinear resonators represent a building block for realizing fault-tolerant quantum computation and are useful for critical quantum sensing. From a fundamental viewpoint, the most intriguing feature of such a system is perhaps the critical phenomena, which can occur without interaction with any other quantum system. The non-analytic behaviors of its eigenspectrum have been substantially investigated, but those associated with the ground state wavefunction have largely remained unexplored. Using the quantum ground state geometric tensor as an indicator, we comprehensively establish a phase diagram involving the driving parameter $\varepsilon$ and phase $\phi$. The results reveal that with the increase in $\varepsilon$, the system undergoes a quantum phase transition from the normal to the superradiant phase, with the critical point unaffected by $\phi$. Furthermore, the critical exponent and scaling dimension are obtained by an exact numerical method, which is consistent with previous works. Our numerical results show that the phase transition falls within the universality class of the quantum Rabi model. Image deblurring aims to remove undesired blurs from an image captured in a dynamic scene. Much research has been dedicated to improving deblurring performance through model architectural designs. However, there is little work on data augmentation for image deblurring. Since continuous motion causes blurred artifacts during image exposure, we aspire to develop a groundbreaking blur augmentation method to generate diverse blurred images by simulating motion trajectories in a continuous space. This paper proposes Implicit Diffusion-based reBLurring AUgmentation (ID-Blau), utilizing a sharp image paired with a controllable blur condition map to produce a corresponding blurred image. We parameterize the blur patterns of a blurred image with their orientations and magnitudes as a pixel-wise blur condition map to simulate motion trajectories and implicitly represent them in a continuous space. By sampling diverse blur conditions, ID-Blau can generate various blurred images unseen in the training set. Experimental results demonstrate that ID-Blau can produce realistic blurred images for training and thus significantly improve performance for state-of-the-art deblurring models. We study the quantum metric in a driven Tavis-Cummings model, comprised of multiple qubits interacting with a quantized photonic field. The parametrical driving of the photonic field breaks the system's U(1) symmetry down to a ${\rm Z}_2$ symmetry, whose spontaneous breaking initiates a superradiant phase transition. We analytically solved the eigenenergies and eigenstates, and numerically simulated the system behaviors near the critical point. The critical behaviors near the superradiant phase transition are characterized by the quantum metric, defined in terms of the response of the quantum state to variation of the control parameter. In addition, a quantum metrological protocol based on the critical behaviors of the quantum metric near the superradiant phase transition is proposed, which enables greatly the achievable measurement precision., Comment: 13 pages, 5 figures

The full 4D cost volume in Recurrent All-Pairs Field Transforms (RAFT) or global matching by Transformer achieves impressive performance for optical flow estimation. However, their memory consumption increases quadratically with input resolution, rendering them impractical for high-resolution images. In this paper, we present MeFlow, a novel memory-efficient method for high-resolution optical flow estimation. The key of MeFlow is a recurrent local orthogonal cost volume representation, which decomposes the 2D search space dynamically into two 1D orthogonal spaces, enabling our method to scale effectively to very high-resolution inputs. To preserve essential information in the orthogonal space, we utilize self attention to propagate feature information from the 2D space to the orthogonal space. We further propose a radius-distribution multi-scale lookup strategy to model the correspondences of large displacements at a negligible cost. We verify the efficiency and effectiveness of our method on the challenging Sintel and KITTI benchmarks, and real-world 4K ($2160\!\times\!3840$) images. Our method achieves competitive performance on both Sintel and KITTI benchmarks, while maintaining the highest memory efficiency on high-resolution inputs., Comment: 10 pages, 9 figures

The Large Hadron Collider's high luminosity era presents major computational challenges in the analysis of collision events. Large amounts of Monte Carlo (MC) simulation will be required to constrain the statistical uncertainties of the simulated datasets below these of the experimental data. We employ the Einstein-Abelian-Higgs theory to investigate the structure of vortex-antivortex lattices within a superconductor driven by spatial periodic magnetic fields. By adjusting the parameters of the external magnetic field, including the period ($\mathcal{T}$) and the amplitude ($B_0$), various distinct vortex states emerge. These states encompass the Wigner crystallization state, the vortex cluster state, and the suppressed state. Additionally, we present a comprehensive phase diagram to demarcate the specific regions where these structures emerge, contributing to our understanding of superconductivity in complex magnetic environments.

Stereo matching is a fundamental task in scene comprehension. In recent years, the method based on iterative optimization has shown promise in stereo matching. However, the current iteration framework employs a single-peak lookup, which struggles to handle the multi-peak problem effectively. Additionally, the fixed search range used during the iteration process limits the final convergence effects. To address these issues, we present a novel iterative optimization architecture called MC-Stereo. This architecture mitigates the multi-peak distribution problem in matching through the multi-peak lookup strategy, and integrates the coarse-to-fine concept into the iterative framework via the cascade search range. Furthermore, given that feature representation learning is crucial for successful learn-based stereo matching, we introduce a pre-trained network to serve as the feature extractor, enhancing the front end of the stereo matching pipeline. Based on these improvements, MC-Stereo ranks first among all publicly available methods on the KITTI-2012 and KITTI-2015 benchmarks, and also achieves state-of-the-art performance on ETH3D. In this work we investigate the $J/\psi$ production in proton-proton collisions at the center-of-mass energy ($\sqrt{s}$) equal to 2.76, 5.02, 7, 8 and 13 TeV with a parton and hadron cascade model PACIAE 2.2a. It is based on PYTHIA but extended considering the partonic and hadronic rescatterings before and after hadronization, respectively. In the PYTHIA sector the $J/\psi$ production quantum chromodynamics processes are selected specially and a bias factor is proposed correspondingly. The calculated total cross sections, the differential cross sections as a function of the transverse momentum and the rapidity of $J/\psi$ in the forward rapidity region reproduce the corresponding experimental measurements reasonably well. In the mid-rapidity region, the double differential cross sections at $\sqrt{s}=$ 5.02, 7 and 13 TeV are also in a good agreement with the experimental data. Moreover, we interpolate the double differential cross section as well as the total cross section of $J/\psi$ in the mid-rapidity region at $\sqrt{s}=$ 8 TeV, which could be validated if the experimental data is available., Comment: 6 pages, 8 figures, 3 tables, accepted by Phys. Here, using unique in-situ liquid secondary ion mass spectroscopy on isotope-labelled solid-electrolyte-interphase (SEI), assisted by cryogenic transmission electron microscopy and constrained ab initio molecular dynamics simulation, for the first time we answer the question regarding Li+ transport mechanism across SEI, and quantitatively determine the Li+-mobility therein. We unequivocally unveil that Li+ transport in SEI follows a mechanism of successive displacement, rather than "direct-hopping". We further reveal, in accordance with spatial-dependence of SEI structure across the thickness, the apparent Li+ self-diffusivity varies from 6.7*10-19 m2/s to 1.0*10-20 m2/s, setting a quantitative gauging of ionic transport behavior of SEI layer against the underlining electrode as well as the rate limiting step of battery operation. This direct study on Li+ kinetics in SEI fills part of the decade-long knowledge gap about the most important component in advanced batteries and provides more precise guidelines to the tailoring of interphasial chemistries for future battery chemistries., Comment: 25 pages, 4 figures
