Green synthesis of inorganic nanoparticles and their applications particularly in biomedical and agricultural sciences are reaping importance nowadays. This work reports the biosynthesis of cuprous oxide nanoparticles (Cu2O NPs) using grape juice and its effective antimicrobial activity which displayed comparatively less and/or no toxic profile. Present nanofabrication is very handy, cost-effective, eco-friendly, and reproducible. The as-synthesized Cu2O NPs were characterized using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, UV-visible and Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy techniques. Also, the antimicrobial assays of biosynthesized Cu2O NPs were carried out against the Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans utilizing disc diffusion method. The present work encompasses the fabrication of biocompatible silver nanoparticles from the leaves of the medicinal plant Piper betle using green chemistry approach. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by different standard techniques like: UV-visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy. The antimicrobial efficacy of the silver nanoparticles was assessed against human and plant pathogens namely Ralstonia solanacearum, Burkholderia gladioli, Escherichia coli and Sacchromyces cerevisiae by agar well diffusion method. The current research highlights the fabrication of biocompatible platinum nanoparticles (Pt NPs) in first hand from arils of Punica granatum by using green chemistry approach. Formation of Pt NPs was determined by UV-visible, X-ray diffraction, and FTIR techniques. The anti-cancer potential of fabricated Pt NPs was evaluated by MTT assay on MCF7 and MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell lines. In this paper, green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using the aqueous extract of Nyctanthes arbortristis as a reducing and stabilizing agent, has been discussed. Present synthetic method is very handy, cost-effective and reproducible. Formation of AgNPs was characterized by X-ray diffraction, dynamic light scattering, scanning electron microscopy and UV-visible spectroscopy techniques. The phytochemicals responsible for nano-transformation were principally flavonoids, phenols and glycosides present in the leaves.
