Microelectromechanical system (MEMS)-based mass sensors are proposed as potential candidates for highly sensitive chemical and gas detection applications owing to their miniaturized structure, low power consumption, and ease of integration with readout circuits. This paper presents a new approach in developing micromachined mass sensors based on capacitive and piezoelectric transducer configurations for use in low concentration level gas detection in a complex environment. These micromachined sensors operate based on a shift in their center resonant frequencies. This shift is caused by a change in the sensor’s effective mass when exposed to the target gas molecules, which is then correlated to the gas concentration level. In this work, capacitive and piezoelectric-based micromachined sensors are investigated and their principle of operation, device structures and configurations, critical design parameters and their candidate fabrication techniques are discussed in detail.

Predicting and disrupting transmission of human parasites from wildlife hosts or vectors remains challenging because ecological interactions can influence their epidemiological traits. Human schistosomes, parasitic flatworms that cycle between freshwater snails and humans, typify this challenge. Human exposure risk, given water contact, is driven by the production of free-living cercariae by snail populations. Conventional epidemiological models and management focus on the density of infected snails under the assumption that all snails are equally infectious. However, individual-level experiments contradict this assumption, showing increased production of schistosome cercariae with greater access to food resources. We built bioenergetics theory to predict how resource competition among snails drives the temporal dynamics of transmission potential to humans and tested these predictions with experimental epidemics and demonstrated consistency with field observations. This resource-explicit approach predicted an intense pulse of transmission potential when snail populations grow from low densities, i.e., when per capita access to resources is greatest, due to the resource-dependence of cercarial production. The experiment confirmed this prediction, identifying a strong effect of infected host size and the biomass of competitors on per capita cercarial production. A field survey of 109 waterbodies also found that per capita cercarial production decreased as competitor biomass increased. Further quantification of snail densities, sizes, cercarial production, and resources in diverse transmission sites is needed to assess the epidemiological importance of resource competition and support snail-based disruption of schistosome transmission. More broadly, this work illustrates how resource competition can sever the correspondence between infectious host density and transmission potential.

INTRODUCTION: Hybrid stand-alone Small Wind Solar Energy System offers a feasible solution in remote areas where grid connectivity is either financially or physically unavailable. A small wind turbine (SWT) and a solar photovoltaic system are part of the hybrid energy system, which is effectively employed to meet the energy needs of rural household loads. OBJECTIVE: This research suggests an effective analysis of wind solar hybrid system controllers taking energy demands into account. The controller should be designed in such a way as to intelligently monitor the availability of wind energy and solar energy and store the energy without spilling it out. METHODS: In order to cope with the challenging factors involved in designing the controller, intelligent power tracking with an artificially intelligent neural network (AI-NN) is designed. Added to that, the whole process has been designed and analysed with the MATLAB SIMULINK tool. RESUSTS: The results of the simulation, infer that AI-NN achieved the regression value of 0.99 when compared with the Perturb & Observe algorithm (P&O), and the Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) algorithm, and has a higher tracking speed. Also, the AI-NN attained 2.62kW whereas the P&O has attained 2.52kW and Fuzzy logic has attained 2.43W of power which is 3.89% higher than P&O algorithm and 7.52% higher than fuzzy MPPT algorithm. CONCLUSION: The designed controller module enhances the system by artificially intelligent algorithm. The AI-NN attains the better power performance with lesser tracking time and higher efficiency. Thus, it is evident that AI-NN MPPT suits well for the hybrid system.

Abstract Studies have shown that internal whistleblowing is an effective way to reduce unethical behavior and fraud risk in organizations. This study aims to empirically examine the mediating effects of affective trust and moral courage on the relationship between authentic leadership and employees internal whistleblowing intention. A convenience sampling method was utilized because the respondents were specific and there was no available public information about them. The survey was sent online to respondents who worked in a private company in Indonesia that applied a whistleblowing policy. One hundred sixty-three responses were analyzed by using SMART PLS 3. The findings suggest that both affective trust and moral courage improve the effects of authentic leadership on their employees intention to report fraud through internal channels. A leader with authentic attributes promotes employees' trust in their leader and improves their moral courage so they are more willing to report fraud to internal parties, including their leaders. Hence, this research demonstrates the significance of a good control environment in companies. Keywords: Affective trust; Authentic leadership; Internal whistleblowing intentions; Moral courage.

The water retention and metal ion binding efficiency of Plantago Psyllium hemicellulose has been well explored. But there are no reports available on its conversion to carbon quantum dots (CQDs) for potential applications. This study is focused on the correlation of the microstructural features of CQDs with its catalytic and emission properties. The green synthesis of CQDs was explored using hemicellulose rich Plantago psyllium as precursor by a one-step thermal carbonization approach. The functional groups, microstructure, surface and the morphological analysis of CQDs indicate the formation of zero-dimensional carbon material with predominately sp2 carbon framework with oxygen and nitrogen atoms. The characterization reports of the carbonized psyllium husk showed that the hemicellulose rich biomass was converted into luminescent CQDs. The CQDs exhibited green emission under the UV lamp. The experimental results of the adsorption study indicate that the CQDs derived from hemicellulose can act as good adsorbent for the removal of Xanthene-based dye. The obtained results promise the effective conversion of biomass and potential application of CQDs as adsorption catalyst for the efficient and economic removal of cationic dyes in waste water.

- Abstract
In response to the escalating demand for energy-efficient wireless sensor networks (WSNs) within the expanding Internet of Things (IoT) landscape, we introduce ReLeC-MO, a novel protocol that integrates the ReLeC clustering algorithm with multi-objective optimization. Leveraging reinforcement learning-based clustering, ReLeC optimizes network topology to enhance energy efficiency. Multi-objective optimization further refines this process by identifying non-dominated solutions on the Pareto front, facilitating a balanced trade-off between network lifetime, energy consumption, and data transmission quality. Our comprehensive simulations reveal the remarkable performance improvements achieved by ReLeC-MO over existing techniques. Specifically, ReLeC-MO demonstrates a 39% reduction in delay, a 50% decrease in energy consumption, and a 25% increase in throughput, showcasing its efficacy in enhancing both energy efficiency and network performance. It also increases network lifetime by 20%, surpassing the latest existing model. Furthermore, its implementation in MATLAB ensures ease of replication and adaptation across diverse IoT applications.

- Abstract
An edge subset F of a connected graph G is a super edge cut if G − F is disconnected and every component of G−F has atleast two vertices. The minimum cardinality of super edge cut is called super edge connectivity number and it is denoted by λ'(G). Every arithmetic graph G = Vn, n not equal to p1 × p2 has super edge cut. In this paper, the authors study super edge connectivity number of an arithmetic graphs G = Vn, n = p_1^a_1 × p_2^a_2 , a1 > 1, a2 ≥ 1, and G = Vn, n = p_1^a_1 × p_2^a_2 × · · · ×p_r^a_r , r > 2, ai ≥ 1, 1 ≤ i ≤ r.

Article - Abstract
Different populations of hosts and parasites experience distinct seasonality in environmental factors, depending on local-scale biotic and abiotic factors. This can lead to highly heterogenous disease outcomes across host ranges. Variable seasonality characterizes urogenital schistosomiasis, a neglected tropical disease caused by parasitic trematodes (Schistosoma haematobium). Their intermediate hosts are aquaticBulinussnails that are highly adapted to extreme rainfall seasonality, undergoing dormancy for up to seven months yearly. WhileBulinussnails have a remarkable capacity for rebounding following dormancy, parasite survival within snails is greatly diminished. We conducted a year-round investigation of seasonal snail-schistosome dynamics in 109 ponds of variable ephemerality in Tanzania. First, we found that ponds have two synchronized peaks of schistosome infection prevalence and cercariae release, though of lower magnitude in the fully desiccating ponds than non-desiccating ponds. Second, we evaluated total yearly prevalence across a gradient of an ephemerality, finding ponds with intermediate ephemerality to have the highest infection rates. We also investigated dynamics of non-schistosome trematodes, which lacked synonymity with schistosome patterns. We found peak schistosome transmission risk at intermediate pond ephemerality, thus the impacts of anticipated increases in landscape desiccation could result in increases or decreases in transmission risk with global change.
