Abstract

With the rapid use of the Four-Wheel Drive System (FWDS) worldwide, the necessity of having an adequate control system to control speed and direction in FWDS is extremely required. For this purpose, several control schemes are available in the literature to control the speed and direction in FWDS which should be fast convergence of the control, continuous control performance, and solving external disturbances. In latest years, finite-time controllers (FTC) have gained more consideration from many researchers in the control area, who have expressed applications in several procedures and systems. This research provides a major review of the FTC approaches via both input and output feedbacks for controlling FWDS.

Abstract

This paper presents the performance analysis of a photovoltaic cell derived from a single diode equivalent circuit under the influence of several kinds of electrical and environmental parameters. The characteristics of a solar cell have been investigated using MATLAB simulation and havebeen validated experimentally. In this paperthe photovoltaic cell is represented by an exactequivalent circuit including all parameters such as a diode saturation current, light generated current, temperature effects, series and shunt resistance values. Also, this paper includes the impacts of clouds, dust, chalk powder, fly ash and bird droppings on the efficiency of the photovoltaic panel. A comparison between the experimental and model simulation results confirmed the reality of results, and indicate the validity of the exact model for photovoltaic performance analysis.

19. Ampicillin resistance profile of local Bacillus species isolated from Syrian soils.

Abstract

Antibiotic-resistant bacteria are one of the main global health problems that can affect humans, animals and environment. In this work, out of 525 isolates, 39 Bacillus strains, which represented six species as B. atrophaeus, B. subtilis, Paenibacillus polymyxa, B. amyloliquefaciens and B. tequilensis were in-vitro tested for ampicillin resistance on NA media, and profound inhibition of bacteria growth was observed 24 hours post incubation. The data indicated that resistance to ampicillin was species-related as B. subtilis, (N = 20; % 50), B. amyloliquefaciens, (N = 10; % 60), and B. atrophaeus (N = 3; % 33.3), B. poenibacillus (N = 2; % 0) and for B. tequilensis (N = 4; % 75). The percentage of zone inhibition of the Bacillus colonies ranged from 0 to 75 %, compared to the untreated control. However, 51% of tested Bacillus strains were not sensitive to ampicillin, suggesting the existence of potential risk for Bacillus spp. infections. The results of this study suggest that the Syrian Bacillus strains are variable in their susceptibility towards ampicilin, and the presence of resistant strains is of concern about how this resistance could spread to other bacteria, and then to humans. Abstract

Mast cell neoplasms are one of the most frequently diagnosed malignancies in dogs. The clinical picture, course, and prognosis vary substantially among patients, depending on the anatomic site, grade and stage of the disease. The most frequently involved organ is the skin, followed by hematopoietic organs (lymph nodes, spleen, liver, and bone marrow) and mucosal sites of the oral cavity and the gastrointestinal tract. In cutaneous mast cell tumors, several grading and staging systems have been introduced. However, no comprehensive classification and no widely accepted diagnostic criteria have been proposed to date. To address these open issues and points we organized a Working Conference on canine mast cell neoplasms in Vienna in 2019. The outcomes of this meeting are summarized in this article. The proposed classification includes cutaneous mast cell tumors and their sub-variants defined by grading- and staging results, mucosal mast cell tumors, extracutaneous/extramucosal mast cell tumors without skin involvement, and mast cell leukemia (MCL). For each of these entities, diagnostic criteria are proposed. Moreover, we have refined grading and staging criteria for mast cell neoplasms in dogs based on consensus discussion. The criteria and classification proposed in this article should greatly facilitate diagnostic evaluation and prognostication in dogs with mast cell neoplasms and should thereby support management of these patients in daily practice and the conduct of clinical trials.
