Este artigo apresenta os resultados do processo de autoavaliação realizado no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Sociologia da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (PPGS/UFPE) no final de 2020. Alinhado às diretrizes da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), que recomenda exercícios internos de avaliação, o processo focou inicialmente nos discentes e utilizou metodologia survey, aplicando formulários digitais enviados aos alunos matriculados. A pesquisa explorou características demográficas, socioeconômicas e educacionais dos estudantes, proporcionando uma visão sobre as dinâmicas de inclusão e desigualdade no Programa. Entre os principais achados, destaca-se a concentração da renda familiar dos estudantes em faixas específicas e as disparidades raciais na educação dos pais, especialmente das mães, fatores que influenciam nas trajetórias acadêmicas. A análise foi enriquecida com a aplicação da Análise de Correspondência Múltipla, permitindo uma leitura mais abrangente das desigualdades. Este estudo visa não apenas identificar as disparidades internas do Programa, mas também fornecer subsídios para políticas educacionais que promovam a diversidade e a igualdade de oportunidades no ensino superior, fortalecendo os instrumentos de autoavaliação nos programas de pós-graduação.

ABSTRACT: The present study evaluated the growth performance, survival, feed conversion ratio, intestinal morphometry, and final yield of yellow tail tetra Astyanax bimaculatus after dietary supplementation with the probiotic Lactobacillus sp. at a concentration ≥ 1.0 × 107 CFU g-1. For this purpose, 480 fish (0.25 ± 0.03 g) were randomly distributed into 16 experimental units of 20 L (30 fish per unit) and divided into a two-factor experimental design (2×2). The fish were subjected to four treatments for 90 days: low stocking density (0.75 fish L-1) and fed a probiotic diet (LP); low density and fed a control diet (LC); high stocking density (2.25 fish L-1) and fed a probiotic diet (HP); and high density and fed a control diet (HC). Density did not influence the growth performance or carcass quality of yellow tail tetra. However, fish fed with a diet containing Lactobacillus sp. showed a significant increase in survival in the HP group as well as in FCR and the final yield index, which are important production indicators for the aquaculture industry. Furthermore, the intestinal histomorphometric analysis of fish from the probiotic group revealed improvements at both densities. The data from the present research strengthen the perspectives of this species in aquaculture, in addition to confirming the benefits of Lactobacillus sp. as a feed additive for the aquafeed industry.

This review proposes the foundations for an epistemology of resilience in public health, addressing the need for a theoretical framework to guide research and policy. Resilience, often ambiguously defined, is reexamined here as a critical attribute of public health systems, enabling them to adapt, absorb, and respond to routine and extraordinary demands without compromising universal and equitable service delivery. By integrating logical, sociological, historical, and philosophical perspectives, the paper delineates resilience as a structured and measurable concept, distinguishing it from common ambiguities in academic and policy discourse. It further introduces a set of foundational axioms to clarify the boundaries of resilience and support its operationalization within public health. These axioms emphasize the interplay between structural and functional dynamics, responses to internal and external stressors, and the importance of systems-level design over reliance on individual adaptations. This epistemological approach aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice, providing a robust basis for developing evidence-based policies that strengthen public health systems' ability to meet evolving challenges while promoting equity and universality.

A pesquisa que deu origem a esse artigo pretendeu investigar a educação de crianças refugiadas, por meio de um estudo de caso em uma escola da Rede Municipal de Ensino de Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, buscando analisar a forma como a escola lida e acolhe estrangeiros, e quais são os impactos na docência e na formação de professores e professoras a partir de uma perspectiva teórico-metodológica decolonial sob o prisma da interculturalidade. Por meio dos relatos de experiências obtidos dos atores escolares durante a pesquisa, nota-se que a escola observada não está pronta para lidar com a presença de alunos estrangeiros em geral, sobretudo, de refugiados. Este artigo evidencia a necessidade de projetos e de atenção especial de gestores e das instituições de ensino superior para oferecer suporte, com vistas à formação e atuação docente, que garantam a efetiva inclusão de crianças e adolescentes vindos de outros países e que são acolhidos nas escolas públicas brasileiras.

Objective: To verify the association between NANDA International nursing diagnoses and their elements in critically ill patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: Descriptive study that analyzed 60 medical records of patients admitted to the reference intensive care unit for COVID-19 in Pernambuco between August and October 2020. The data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study was approved by the ethics committee under number: 4.199.128. Results: The diagnosis “Ineffective airway clearance” was associated with the element “infection”, while “Deficit in self-care for dressing” was associated with all its defining characteristics and the related factors: “Discomfort” and “Pain”. “Risk of aspiration” was associated with the elements: ineffective coughing, enteral feeding, impaired ability to swallow, decreased level of consciousness and the presence of a nasal/oral tube. Altered skin characteristics, edema, diabetes mellitus and hypertension were associated with “Ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion”. “Dysfunctional response to ventilatory weaning” was associated with nine of its elements. Conclusion: There were associations between five NANDA International nursing diagnoses and their elements in critically ill patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. This enables the implementation of qualified care focused on the real needs of patients.

Considerando a importância da formação docente para garantir a oferta de uma educação de qualidade, especialmente em redes públicas de ensino e, em contextos atípicos, como os gerados pela Pandemia de covid-19, realizamos uma pesquisa que objetivou contribuir para que a formação docente pudesse, nestes contextos, ser reconhecida e aprimorada. No desenvolvimento, optamos pelo método qualitativo, revisão de literatura e aplicação de questionário misto. A análise de conteúdo permitiu evidenciar que a maioria dos docentes da Rede Municipal de Salvador não estava habilitada para atuar no ensino remoto e que, mesmo depois de mais de dois anos de pandemia, esta rede não investiu em formações para seus professores. De outro lado, identificamos um movimento auto formativo por parte de muitos docentes. Ademais, constatamos que o modelo de ensino utilizado no período não contemplou o necessário acesso de estudantes e professores a recursos tecnológicos e digitais.

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE To propose a method for detecting and analyzing under-registration and highlight its potential financial effect in view of the implementation of the Previne Brasil Program. METHODS An ecological study was carried out to analyze cytopathological exams in programmatic area 3.1 in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. The data was collected from the Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde (DATASUS - Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System) database, including information on reports from outsourced cytopathology laboratories and those available in the Sistema de Informação em Saúde para a Atenção Básica (SISAB - Health Information System for Primary Care) and the Sistema de Informação do Câncer do Colo do Útero (SISCOLO - Cervical Cancer Information System) of DATASUS/Ministry of Health. RESULTS The estimated under-registrations per health unit totaled 108,511 exams in the last two years in the programmatic area 3.1 area, which corresponds to an estimated total of R$ 435,129.00 that would have been foregone if the Previne Brasil Program had been in place during the period studied. CONCLUSION The article’s main contribution lies in the presentation of empirical evidence of the potential effects of under-registration on Primary Health Care financing. In addition, there are two other significant findings - firstly, it highlights weaknesses in the process of recording health information inherent to vulnerable regions; secondly, it indicates a vicious circle potentially fueled by sudden changes in Primary Health Care funding conditions, in addition to potential consequences for other levels of care.

ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to diagnose the causative agent of carp (Cyprinidae) mortality in an artificial lake used for recreation in Jaraguá do Sul, state of Santa Catarina, in February 2018. The fish showed symptoms, including skin ulceration, hemorrhages on the surface of the body, loss of scale and increased mucus production. Through the proteomic profile, using the MALDI-TOF technique, three bacterial isolates were identified as Aeromonas veronii, A. hydrophila and Citrobacter freundii. In addition, in the mucus scraping, a large number of the ectoparasite Argulus was observed. A blood collection was carried out to verify the hematological indices of the animals and a decrease in the the hematocrit value, erythrocyte count, and differential leukocyte count was observed. These findings indicate that Argulus infection increases the carp’s susceptibility to bacterial diseases and contributes to the suppression of the innate immune system and consequent increase in mortality.

In the present study, Curcuma longa (CL) hydrolate and the probiotic Lactobacillus plantarum (LP) were provided as dietary supplements to Nile tilapia. One hundred ninety-two juvenile tilapias (2.25 ± 0.14 g and 4.5 ± 0.10 cm) were distributed in sixteen experimental units, and four experimental groups were established: CL [CUR]: fish fed a diet supplemented with CL hydrolate at 2.5%; probiotic [PRO]: a diet supplemented with LP; LP + CL [COMB]: diet supplemented with the LP strain cultivated in media supplemented with 2.5% CL hydrolate; and control [CTRL]: diet without supplementation. After 70 days, the final average weight was significantly greater in the PRO group (33.26 ± 1.12 g) than in the CTRL and CUR groups, whereas the specific growth rate was significantly greater in the PRO and COMB groups than in the CTRL and CUR groups. Feed conversion decreased significantly in the PRO group (1.03 ± 0.11). Dietary supplementation did not change the body composition of tilapia. Leukocyte and lymphocyte counts were greater in the PRO treatment than in the CTRL group. Compared with those in the CTRL group, total serum protein was significantly increased in the PRO group. Immunoglobulins were higher in the COMB and PRO groups. In the experimental challenge, all the fish in the treated groups presented lower cumulative mortality rates. The combination of LP and CL improved the growth parameters of Nile tilapia.

ABSTRACT Coping with the recent COVID-19 pandemic has shown that the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) needs to improve its resilience to handle the rapid spread of communicable diseases while ensuring the necessary care for an aging population with comorbidities and in a vulnerable situation. This article identifies, analyzes, and discusses critical aspects of the resilience of the SUS, calling into question the prevailing focus on the robustness and volume of resources mobilized during the outbreak of major disasters. Recent studies demonstrate that the skills that favor adaptation to unexpected situations emerge from the daily functioning of organizations. Restricting the discussion to the mobilization of structures to respond to adverse events has the effect of limiting their potential, inhibiting the emergence of the transformative, adaptive, anticipatory, and learning skills necessary for the sustainable development of resilience.

RESUMO Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo prospectar as condições de trabalho das equipes de socorro do Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu-192) fluvial das áreas ribeirinhas e costeiras da região do Alto-Solimões, a partir da análise sistêmica das atividades no serviço de embarcações popularmente chamadas de ‘ambulanchas’ durante os picos da Covid-19 no estado do Amazonas, quando o sistema de saúde funcionou sob o estresse provocado pela pandemia. Os dados foram obtidos a partir de um desenho transversal exploratório, baseado em dados qualitativos coletados por meio de entrevistas e observação do funcionamento normal do sistema antes da pandemia. A partir daí modelos de dois cenários foram elaborados mostrando o funcionamento do serviço de ambulanchas ao lidar com a pandemia de Covid-19 e o impacto nas condições de trabalho das equipes de socorro interprofissionais de socorro. Entrevistas remotas com trabalhadores das ambulanchas após a pandemia indicaram que a prospecção das condições de trabalho a partir das instâncias dos modelos corresponderam ao funcionamento real do sistema durante a pandemia de Covid-19.

Abstract Taurine is considered a conditionally essential amino acid for fish, so its supplementation may improve feed conversion. This study evaluated the supplementation of taurine on growth performance, hematological and immunological parameters, production costs, and survival of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) juveniles raised in a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS). A control diet was formulated with 360 g kg-1 of crude protein without fish meal and without taurine supplementation (Control). From the control diet, another diet supplemented with 9.7 g of taurine per kg of feed (Taurine) was produced. Fish fed diet supplemented with taurine had lower daily average weight gain and final average weight compared to the control diet (p < 0.05). It was observed that taurine had no influence on condition factor, survival, or hemato-immunological parameters of Nile tilapia juveniles, but there was a higher mean corpuscular volume and greater nitrogen retention in fish from the control group (p < 0.05). It is concluded that Nile tilapia juveniles do not benefit from taurine supplementation in RAS, even when fed diet containing plant-based protein sources.

RESUMO Este artigo apresenta o resultado de uma pesquisa realizada com usuários da Plataforma Sucupira através de aprendizagem colaborativa mediada por tecnologias digitais na educação - WhatsApp e Google Drive. Por meio de interação e interatividade os participantes puderam trabalhar a aprendizagem de conteúdos relacionados à coleta e ao preenchimento de dados da Plataforma Sucupira. O estudo ocorreu por meio de pesquisa qualitativa com assuntos estruturados através de categorias da plataforma com observação participante. Como resultado, objetivou-se melhorar o preenchimento da Plataforma Sucupira, colaborando assim para a promoção de uma discussão qualificada sobre as possíveis melhorarias no preenchimento do sistema, para que desta forma outros usuários pudessem compreender as melhorias que podem ser realizadas no preenchimento da Plataforma em seus Programas de Pós-Graduação. ABSTRACT This article presents the result of a research carried out with Sucupira Platform users through collaborative learning mediated by digital technologies in education - WhatsApp and Google Drive. Through interaction and interactivity, participants were able to work on learning content related to the collection and filling of data on the Sucupira Platform. The study took place through qualitative research with structured subjects through platform categories with participant observation. As a result, the objective was to improve the completion of the Sucupira Platform, thus collaborating to promote a qualified discussion about possible improvements in filling the system, so that other users could understand the improvements that can be made in completing the Sucupira Platform in their Graduate Programs. Resumo Objetivo identificar o perfil de crianças e adolescentes dependentes de tecnologia de um hospital de referência pediátrica do sul do país. Método estudo descritivo, com abordagem quantitativa. A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio da análise de prontuários, entre janeiro de 2016 e dezembro de 2019, armazenados em planilha Microsoft Excel para a análise estatística descritiva. Um projeto aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética sob o parecer 5.115.194. Resultados prevaleceu o sexo masculino (50,8%), em idade pré-escolar (30,8%), proveniente da Grande Florianópolis (60,1%). Os diagnósticos mais frequentes foram relacionados à prematuridade/período neonatal, anomalias congênitas/defeitos genéticos, doenças neurológicas e/ou neuromusculares, correspondendo a 37%, 33,2% e 18,5%. Os dispositivos tecnológicos mais utilizados foram gastrostomia (56,3%) e traqueostomia (36,6%). A utilização de medicamentos contínuos se deu em 93,4% e 49,2% utilizavam quatro ou mais medicamentos. As mães foram as principais cuidadoras (80,9%). Ocorreram 31 óbitos no período. Conclusão e implicação para a prática este grupo apresenta grande demanda de cuidados decorrentes do diagnóstico principal, dos dispositivos tecnológicos, das medicações e das possíveis complicações. A identificação do perfil das crianças e adolescentes dependentes de tecnologia contribuiu para ampliar a visibilidade de uma população que está em constante crescimento e, assim, prestar uma assistência integral, de acordo com suas especificidades e reais necessidades.

Nosso trabalho tem o objetivo de avaliar as alterações nos parâmetros de qualidade de água do efluente de um sistema de biofloco (BFT) após a inserção de hortaliças. Foram utilizadas mudas de hortaliças de três espécies: alface (Lactuca sativa), rúcula (Eruca sativa), e cebolinha verde (Allium schoenoprasum). Foram utilizadas 12 garrafas de politereftalato de etileno, divididas em quatro grupos (três diferentes hortaliças e controle), em triplicata, equipadas com sistema de aeração (individualmente) para evitar a sedimentação do BFT. As garrafas foram mantidas em uma caixa de polietileno (180L). As garrafas foram preenchidas com 1 L de água do BFT utilizada como amostra inicial (tempo zero). O pH, amônia total, nitrito e nitrato foram mensurados em tempo zero, 24 horas e 72 horas após a inserção das diferentes hortaliças no sistema experimental. Foi possível observar melhora nos níveis de amônia 24 h após a inserção das hortaliças, pois os tratamentos (Alface, Cebolinha e Rúcula) reduziram a quantidade de amônia quando comparado ao grupo controle. Entretanto, houve pouca influência sobre o pH, nitrito e nitrato. Portanto, podemos concluir que a inserção das hortaliças no efluente reduz os níveis de amônia, melhorando os parâmetros de qualidade de água e, portanto, podem reduzir o impacto ambiental ou atuar como biorremediadores do ambiente de cultivo.

We report a case of a 42-year-old woman diagnosed with pulmonary benign metastasizing leiomyomatosis with a random nodular pattern on image and with a rare clinical condition progressing with respiratory failure and severe hypoxemia. This study is relevant due to the rarity of the tomographic pattern and the patient's clinical presentation. There is no treatment guideline for this comorbidity, which further increases the importance of publishing case reports in the literature.

A ideia deste texto surge a partir de um evento em tributo à Professora Silke Weber, organizado pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Sociologia da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (PPGS/UFPE), em parceria com a Associação dos Docentes da UFPE (ADUFEPE) e mais um conjunto de colaboradores e colaboradoras que se articularam para celebrar a vida e a obra de uma figura tão importante quanto querida.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a problem that directly affects the quality of life of patients suffering from this condition. Monitoring the serum level of infliximab (IFX) (TDM) is an important tool for guiding therapeutic decisions in IBD patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the significance of quantitatively measuring the serum level of IFX (TDM) and antibody to IFX (ATI). Methods and materials: Prospective observational study involving 40 IBD patients on IFX therapy, including 14 Proactive (week 06 of the induction phase) and 26 Reactive (maintenance phase). Immediately prior to the infusion, blood samples were drawn and measured using a Bulhlmann rapid test instrument. Serum concentrations of IFX were categorized as supratherapeutic (>7.0 micrograms/ml), therapeutic (between 3.0 and 7.0 micrograms/ml), and subtherapeutic (3.0 micrograms/ml). When the serum concentration of IFX was 3 mcg/ml (subtherapeutic), the ATI was measured. 25 patients with CD and 15 patients with UC were evaluated. Only three of the twenty patients with subtherapeutic serum levels had a positive ATI, and both were reactive; two had CD and one had UC. There was a statistically significant difference between reactive and proactive patients with respect to levels of CRP (p = 0.042), with proactive DNS patients suffering greater alterations in CRP and albumin.

Introduction: Obesity and overweight have been increasing in Brazil and in the world, in an expressive way, as well as the demand for bariatric surgeries. As a result, post-bariatric plastic surgery has also grown, especially abdominal dermolipectomy. The objective is to describe the frequency of post-bariatric plastic surgeries performed by the Unified Health System (SUS - Sistema Único em Saúde, in portuguese) from January 1, 2015 to October 21, 2020. Methods: Ecological study, where individuals who underwent post-bariatric surgeries were selected. bariatric tests by SUS obtained by the Hospital Information System of Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS - Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde, in portuguese). Data from the 27 states of the national territory were analyzed and the following variables were used: gender, age group, procedure performed, level of education. Results: The southeastern region of the country had the highest number of post-bariatric surgeries. White individuals, on the other hand, had higher numbers than other races (60.9%), abdominal dermolipectomy was the most frequent (53.7%) followed by mammoplasty (22.3%). Conclusion: Plastic surgeries have increased significantly in the last five years, and are more frequent among white women, aged between 35 and 44 years, living in the southeastern region of the country.

Objectives: We assessed whether combining (pooling) four individual's samples and testing with Xpert Ultra has the same accuracy as testing samples individually as a more efficient testing method. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study of individuals with presumptive tuberculosis attending primary health care or general hospital facilities in Alagoas, Brazil. The sputum samples of four consecutive individuals were pooled and the pool and individual samples were tested with Xpert Ultra. The agreement of the tests was compared using kappa statistics. We estimated the sensitivity and specificity of pooling using the individual test as the reference standard and potential cartridge savings. Results: A total of 396 participants were tested. A total of 95 (24.0%) individual samples were Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB)-positive, 300 (75.8%) “MTB not detected”, including 20 “MTB trace”, and one reported an error. A total of 99 pools of four samples were tested, of which 62 (62.6%) had MTB detected and 37 (37.4%) MTB not detected, including six (6.1%) with MTB trace. The agreement between individual and pooled testing was 96.0%. Pooling had a sensitivity of 95.0% (95% confidence interval 86.9-99%), specificity of 97.1% (95% confidence interval 85.1-99.9%), and kappa of 0.913. The method saved 12.4% of cartridge costs. Conclusion: The pooled testing of specimens had a high level of agreement with individual testing. The pooling of samples for testing improves the efficiency of testing, potentially enabling the screening and testing of larger numbers of individuals more cost-effectively.

Objectives. To develop and test a framework to assess the potential of public health systems to maintain a resilient performance. Methods. Quantitative data from public databases and qualitative data from technical reports of Brazilian health authorities were used to develop the framework which was assessed and modified by experts. Fuzzy logic was used for the mathematical model to determine scores for four resilient abilities – monitoring, anticipation, learning, and response – and an aggregated coefficient of resilient potential in health care. The coefficient measures used data from before the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. These were compared with measures of the actual performance of health systems in 10 cities in Brazil during the pandemic. Results. The coefficient of resilient potential in health care showed that the cities most affected by COVID-19 had lower potential for resilient performance before the pandemic. Some local health systems had adequate response capabilities, but other abilities were not well developed, which adversely affected the management of the spread of COVID-19. Conclusions. The coefficient of resilient potential in health care is useful to indicate important areas for resilient performance and the different types of resilience capacities that can be considered in different contexts and levels of public health systems. Regular assessment of the potential of health systems for resilient performance would help highlight opportunities for continuous improvement in health system functions during chronic stress situations, which could strengthen their ability to keep functioning in the face of sudden disturbances.

Abstract The simulation process was applied to the industrial circuit of the Juruti Bauxite Mine using mathematical models calibrated for the equipment and based on information from industrial sampling. The sampling campaign, mass balance routines and quantification of the process efficiency were discussed in Part I of this study and the model calibration and simulations process were the Part II objective. Simulation scenarios were defined considering the possible particle size curves for feeding the plant. Based on the simulated results, it was possible to observe which operations may be impacted by the increase in production, impacting the percentage of contaminants in the final product, indicating the necessity of equipment interventions to support increases in capacity. Another group of scenarios were established with the objective to evaluate the possibility of increasing the mass recovery and improving the quality of the fine product, by variations in the opening diameters of the apex and vortex finder of the five cyclone stages. Considering the simulated scenarios, the points of attention identified in the simulations were: (a) the washing efficiency could be reduced, in view of a consequent reduction in residence time connected to the change in characteristics of the ore fed to the plant; (b) increase capacity of the primary and secondary screens need to be done; (c) to keep the classification efficiencies, it is necessary install more cyclone units; and (d) changes in the apex diameter and vortex finder could generate results in terms of mass recovery and product quality.

Objetivo: apresentar um modelo teórico-metodológico para nortear a elaboração e validação de tecnologia educacional do tipo cartilhas educativas para a área da Enfermagem. Método: trata-se de um estudo teórico-reflexivo, baseado na Taxonomia de Bloom. Resultados: o estudo apresentou um modelo teórico-metodológico que descreve a elaboração do roteiro e conteúdo do material educativo seguindo as recomendações da Taxonomia de Bloom, na dimensão do processo cognitivo. Ainda, apresentou os passos para elaboração e validação de cartilhas educativas: diagnóstico situacional, revisão de literatura e documental, seleção e sumarização de conteúdo, elaboração do roteiro, criação e diagramação de imagens, validação com especialistas e com o público-alvo. Considerações finais: a proposição do modelo teórico-metodológico solidifica o conhecimento da literatura e auxilia enfermeiros e pesquisadores na elaboração de cartilhas educativas com maior rigor científico e passíveis de efetividade. The compound 6-methoxyseselin, derived from Zanthoxylum tingoassuiba, demonstrates various therapeutic properties, including vasorelaxation, antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory effects, along with recently discovered antiasthmatic properties. This study aimed to evaluate its preclinical pharmacokinetics and pulmonary delivery in Balb/c mice. The method involved administering the compound via inhalation and intravenous routes, followed by blood sample collection for analysis using high-performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection (HPLC-DAD). The results indicated good linearity, precision, accuracy, and stability of the compound in the biological samples. Pharmacokinetic parameters such as the rate of elimination, half-life, clearance, volume of distribution, area under the curve, and mean residence time were determined for both administration routes, showing similar profiles. The lung concentrations were notably higher than the plasma concentrations, indicating significant lung penetration. These findings suggest 6-methoxyseselin as a promising candidate for new anti-asthmatic drugs, supported by its favorable pharmacokinetic profiles and high lung penetration factors. This study represents the first exploration of the pharmacokinetics and pulmonary delivery of 6-methoxyseselin in mice, highlighting its potential for further drug development.
