Introduction: One of the most prevalent malignant tumors is osteosarcoma. The use of herbal medicines that can suppress or kill cancer cells through their antioxidant properties is growing in popularity nowadays as a result of the numerous negative effects of cancer medications. Different parts of M.emarginata have been mentioned to be therapeutically used as diuretic and neuralgia. The main aim of this study is to find out an antiproliferative activity of M.emarginataleaf extract on SAOS 2 cell lineMaterials and Methods: The Merremia emarginata(burm.F.) leaf were soxhlet extracted. Cultured Saos Cells were stimulated with various concentrations of M.emarginata(burm.F.) leaf extracts. To dissolve the formazan formed from MTT, the cells were resuspended in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). The inhibitory rate of cell growth was calculated. mRNA expression levels were examined using real-time PCR.Results: As the concentration of leaf extract increases from 50μg/ml to 200μg/ml the cell viability is significantly decreased. Bcl2 and Bcl-xl expression were significantly negatively correlated with higher concentration of Saos -2 cells treated with M.emarginata.Conclusion: The study revealed that M.emarginatahas a significant role in controlling bone cancer cell proliferation by upregulating caspase 3 mRNA and down regulating the gene expression of Bcl 2 and Bcl xl.

Aim: To analyse the knowledge and awareness of Periorbital hyperpigmentation among dental students. Introduction: In the day to day life, higher education students deal with a lot of stress in their academics. The signs of stress and strain reflect in our body. One of the most encountered signs is periorbital hyperpigmentation(POH), the so-called dark circle. It is evident among the population and it tends to affect the quality of life of patients and their social interactions. The aim of the study is to assess the knowledge and awareness of periorbital hyperpigmentation among higher education students. Materials And Methods: The observational pilot study was carried out in 25 dental students (15 female, 10 male). A well-framed 20 self-structured questionnaire was formed and circulated among the dental students through offline means. Collected responses were tabulated in google sheets and the data was transferred to SPSS software. Statistical analysis was done using the chi square test. Moringa oleifera, is a highly potent medicinal plant which is evergreen or deciduous in nature and it is found growing predominantly in the Sub-Himalayan regions of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. This plant is tagged as a medicinal plant because it contains various properties such as high antioxidant properties, anti- inflammatory, anticancer, antidiabetic and antimicrobial properties. This review paper will highlight, focus and discuss the antioxidant properties possessed by Moringa oleifera supported by some experiments containing materials required, methods employed, results procured and discussion to support the evidences that prove the antioxidant properties found in this plant. The first and the second experiment is about the presence of flavonoid contents like Quercetin and Rutin found respectively that contributes to the antioxidant properties found in the plant of subject, Moringa oleifera. While, the third experiment is based on the application of the antioxidant properties found in the plant that contributes towards the enhancement of the meat quality thereby, this attribute of the plant having antioxidant properties is used in the meat industries.

The battle for wireless networks' 6G has started. Many review articles expressed their views and critically evaluated the overall state of the art in order to give readers a clear picture of current advances. Most of the studies, though, are focused on broad views and a big-picture perspective, and do not address the real issues arising from internet of things (IoT) use cases. The authors give a sample of IoT use cases that are indicative of a wide range of IoT implementations, which is a novel approach in the review. The use cases chosen represent the most research-intensive industries that potentially profit from 6G and its enabling technologies. Healthcare, smart grid, transportation, and blockchain learning techniques are among these sectors. They also identified some of the actual hurdles and lessons encountered in putting these use cases into action. The evaluation focuses on the major requirements of the scenarios and how they intersect with the primary drivers for the next generation of wireless networks.

This in vitro study focuses on the green synthesis of selenium nanoparticles using Capparis decidua and its anti-inflammatory activity. Nanotechnology is the speciality associated with Material science and biology, rather than a particular field. It involves the formulation of particles at nanoscale known as Nanoparticles, where they have control over bulk macroscopic properties of the same material. Selenium, being a 'Drug nanocarrier', possesses strong antibacterial, antioxidant and anti-cancer as well as anti-inflammatory properties. As the medicinal plant Capparis decidua possesses a lot of phytochemicals, this study combined it to synthesise selenium nanoparticles, and anti-inflammatory properties were analysed. Synthesis of Selenium nanoparticles using Capparis decidua extract, collection of NPs using centrifugation, analysis of anti-inflammatory using UV spectroscopy and inhibition of Bovine serum albumin denaturation assay were performed. Biosynthesised selenium nanoparticles using Capparis decidua exhibit effective anti-inflammatory properties and act as an alternative candidate for steroidal and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. On account of performing the Green synthesis of selenium nanoparticles along with the combination of Capparis decidua, it is evident that Capparis decidua possesses effective anti-inflammatory with increasing concentrations up to 5muL. In future, we can encounter further efficacy by raising the concentrations by adding new formulations other than Capparis decidua

Hypercholesterolemia is defined as high levels of cholesterol in the blood. Platelet indices include: Plateletcrit (PCT), Platelet Distribution Width (PDW) and Mean platelet volume (MPV). Hypercholesterolemia is associated with the increased risk of developing cardiovascular diseases like atherosclerosis which in turn results in platelet activation and thrombotic events. This study is aimed to evaluate the variations in platelet indices in adults with hypercholesterolemia which may be significant in indicating cardiovascular diseases. It is a retrospective case-control study which includes 50 patients with a total cholesterol level of more than 170mg/dl as the study group and 50 healthy controls with normal lipid profile parameters. Data were collected from the lipid profile register in the Biochemistry department of Saveetha Medical College for 3 months duration. The fasting blood samples were run in the machine ‘vitros 5600 dry chemistry’. The lipid profile values included in this study were Total cholesterol, HDL and TGL. The platelet indices were collected from the automated haematology analyzer 'Sysmex XN 1000' from the Pathology Department, Saveetha Medical College. The data collected were tabulated and analysed using SPSS software. Statistical tool used is the independent T-test. The mean value of the platelet parameters such as MPV, PCT and PDW in the study group was 10.397061, .3000, and 12.452 respectively and that of the control group was 9.907480, .2882, 11.174 respectively. On comparing the platelet parameters such as MPV, PCT and PDW between the study and the control group it was observed that there was a significant variation in MPV and PDW. In the independent sample test, the p-value of MPV, PCT and PDW were 0.21, 0.481 and 0.008, respectively.
