Recommendations for the dental treatment of patients with head and neck cancer (HNC) in Slovenia treated with radiation follow the recommendations and guidelines of the Royal College of Surgeons of England created in association with the British Society for Disability and Oral Health, the Recommendations for the treatment of patients with head and neck cancer in Slovenia and at the same time consider the existing capabilities of the Slovenian health care system. The recommendations aim to prevent or reduce complications in the oral cavity due to radiation therapy. They define the dental care before, during and after radiation therapy at all three levels of dental care, which ensures the timeliness and accessibility of dental care. The recommendations represent a unified opinion of all stakeholders in the field of dental treatment of HNC patients in the country.

Priporočila za obravnavo rakov glave in vratu (RGV) v Sloveniji sledijo priporočilom in usmeritvam, povzetim v publikaciji neprofitne mreže 30 vodilnih severnoameriških inštitucij za obravnavo raka, National Comprehensive Cancer Network, in hkrati upoštevajo obstoječe zmožnosti slovenskega zdravstvenega sistema. Smernice predstavljajo poenoteno mnenje vseh štirih najpomembnejših deležnikov na področju obravnave rakov glave in vratu v državi: Klinike za otorinolaringologijo in cervikofacialno kirurgijo, Kliničnega oddelka za maksilofacialno in oralno kirurgijo ter Stomatološke klinike UKC Ljubljana, Klinike za otorinolaringologijo, cervikalno in maksilofacialno kirurgijo UKC Maribor ter Onkološkega inštituta Ljubljana.

Based on ability–motivation–opportunity theoretical framework, the study explores the interplay among team members’ proactive personalities (abilities), collective efficacy (motivation), and supportive supervision (opportunity), and their interaction in predicting team innovation. Multi-level study of 249 employees nested within 64 teams from one German and three Slovenian hi-tech companies showed that collective efficacy was positively related to team innovation. However, the effect of collective efficacy on team innovation was weaker when high levels of supportive supervision and proactivity moderated this relationship. When teams perceived lower levels of collective efficacy, team proactivity, and supportive supervision were more important for achieving higher levels of team innovation as they were when teams perceived lower levels of motivation. This article addresses the current condition of Slovenian business environment and its support to open innovation. By carrying out qualitative empirical research, we investigate to what extent determinants from internal, narrower and broader external business environment influence open innovation in Slovenian companies. Several support mechanisms were established to create friendlier environment for open innovation. Our study indicates that if Slovenia wants to be successful on the long run, supportive environment cannot and should not be based solely on government financial support, but must also contain other elements that affect technological development, meaning: 1) organizational culture, values, reward system; 2) legislation; 3) tax and social contributions; 4) bureaucratic barriers; 5) human resources; and 6) favorable bank loans, bank guarantees, venture capital, etc. The paper concludes with implications for managers and policy makers, outlining several promising areas for future research.
