Rainwater harvesting is the method of collection, store and use of rainwater where ever it falls. Tropical climatic conditions will receive extreme precipitation, i.e. in form of rain. Water stress and scarcity is happening around the world especially in urban areas as the demand is more because of density of population. As the infrastructure of basic needs at urban areas are almost up to the level, the paved areas will be present in most of the areas. The gap between supply and demand is varying much essentially in urban areas. Thus, the rainwater harvesting at plot level as well as at community level is becoming very much essential so as to minimize the gap between demand and supply. The harvested water lead to supplement the main supply of water and lessens the pressure on main source of water for the existing urban settlement. The present paper deals with the frame work for sustainable rainwater harvesting at a town level. The paper deals with correlating the selected eight study pockets in Guntur town, Andhra Pradesh, India by making the grouping of plots based on the area of the plots with regard to dwelling units related to occupants. Trees are living monuments of nature, offering numerous ecological, socio-cultural, and religious services to the local communities. "Sthalavriksha," the sacred tree that is indigenous and prominent to every Dravidian Hindu temple. This research article provides a synopsis of Ecosystem services, termed as "Benefits that humanity receives from nature." Specifically, Indian Bael (Aegle marmelos) an important "Sthalavriksha" of temples in Kongunadu (three western districts) of Tamil Nadu State, India. Literature review and local narratives from people reveal that it is imperative to conserve this sacred tree species to provide essentials to sustain life on this blue planet like clean air, water, soil fertility, and biodiversity for wellbeing. With the expansion of western colonialism and development of foreign trades, Indian fashion has been continually improving to perfection. There has been both positive and negative impact of globalization on social and cultural values in India. globalization is providing new panorama of dressing up as well as employment and thereby bringing happiness in the lives. The fusion of various fashions and styles, multiplicity of apparel fashion is enriching the cultural heritage of this country. When global fashion becomes the local, it is referred as "glocalization". A beautiful synthesis of traditional and western costumes is emerging as the new style statement of Indian youth. India is a developing economy, with a growing population of youth and technological advancement, which is opening doors for newer and diversified trends in wardrobe. Increase in the number of shopping malls, advent of brands, popularity of designer clothing, boom in the number of fashion institutes, initiation of fashion shows, boutiques, emergence of fashion houses, globalization of Indian attire, use of synthetic fibers, improvement in professional management skills, rising demand for readymade garments, availability of superior quality at rational value, high competitiveness, installation of new technology in garment and textile production, sustainable and ethical consumerism, fair trade - supply chain transparency, eco-friendly fashion and green wardrobe, use and throw concept are the major impact of globalization on Indian garment and textile sector. The Indian textile consumers are disorganized in addition to illiterate, poorly skilled and ignorant regarding the products to be purchased. They seem to be unaware of specifications, quality, price, durability, quantity, serviceability, end uses and care of the textile products. A questionnaire was administered to the Male and female college students and homemakers of Ajmer and Jodhpur cities of Rajasthan to judge their general practices during purchase and use of textile products. Most of the textile consumers have shown very poor practices concerning care and informative labels, checking of length and width of fabric, cash memo, measurements and other specifications as well as use and care of the textile products. Most of the respondents were unaware about the importance of cash memo, manufacturer's details, and product description on the cash memo. Even they did not follow the instructions given in the use and care labels. Majority of the respondents were found ignorant of the defects and problems like bleeding of colour of the textile product purchased by them. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
