Abstract

64 páginas El presente trabajo de grado tiene como objetivo realizar una comparación entre algunas entidades oferentes de microcréditos en Medellín e instituciones representativas de banca ética a nivel mundial. Para lograrlo, se hizo una revisión bibliográfica de los conceptos de microcrédito, ética y banca ética, para posteriormente definir unos parámetros que englobaran los principios de la banca ética y poder realizar una comparación de las instituciones estudiadas. The present work aims to compare some microcredit institutions in Medellin and representative enterprises of ethical banking worldwide. To achieve this, a literature review of the concepts of microcredit, ethics and ethical banking was developed to define parameters that comprise the principles of ethical banking and permit to compare the institutions studied.

4. La banca ética con respecto a microcréditos ofrecidos por entidades financieras en Medellín.

Abstract

This article highlights the concept of ethical banking and makes a comparison between some institutions that provide microcredit in Medellin and some representative institutions that practice ethical banking outside Colombia. It can be observed that the institutions that were part of the analysis in Medellin, met many of the parameters that are required for ethical banking. However, none of them meets the definition of negative ethical criteria, which refer to the participation of savers in the selection process of projects that will be financed with their deposits. That means compared to the international banks that were analyzed the institutions in Medellin are staying behind as they do not have and apply negative ethical criteria. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
