Quasi 16‐day waves (Q16DWs) are a prominent and recurrent phenomenon in the middle atmosphere, typically observed over winter mid and high latitudes. This study investigates the intense Q16DW event during the 2018–2019 Northern Hemisphere (NH) winter, and explores its propagation in the middle atmosphere and its notable influence on the E‐region ionosphere. Long‐term geopotential height estimates of Aura Microwave Limb Sounder (MLS) reveal that the wave activity under consideration exhibited the largest amplitudes in the mesosphere for past 16 years. An analysis of wind data obtained from medium frequency (MF) and meteor radars, as well as from Modern‐Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications, Version 2 (MERRA‐2) reanalysis, reveals the presence of a westward‐propagating Q16DW with zonal wavenumber 1 exhibiting notable asymmetry about the equator, with the majority of the wave activity being confined to the NH. The prominently large amplitudes and vertical wavelengths of the wave suggest potential for the wave propagation to extend deep into the E‐region ionosphere. Swarm satellite observations reveal concurrent ∼16‐day oscillations in the eastward component of the geomagnetic field at low latitudes. These oscillations can be attributed to the periodic variations in interhemispheric field‐aligned currents (IHFACs). The ∼16‐day oscillations in the IHFACs are likely a consequence of asymmetric wind‐dynamo action, which is directly or indirectly associated with the Q16DW. These findings suggest that planetary waves originating in the middle atmosphere can cause interhemispheric coupling in the ionosphere. A data set consisting of medium frequency (MF) and meteor radar winds, reanalysis data, Aura Microwave Limb Sounder (MLS) and Swarm geomagnetic field measurements is utilized to characterize the wave. The simultaneous occurrence of wave signatures in the middle atmosphere and the ionosphere suggests some atmosphere‐ionosphere coupling. The wave signatures observed in the eastward component of the geomagnetic field are attributed to interhemispheric field‐aligned currents. Visually impaired and blind people (VIBP) face great difficulty finding public transport and bus stops due to their visual impairments. Over the past decade, several support systems have been prototyped and developed to address this problem. However, most of these are wearable prototypes that turn out to be grueling for them. In this project, we propose an AI-powered real-time bus navigation system that provides information about buses arriving at bus stops. The buses will be tracked using the GPS of the mobile phone installed with the driver-side application. The application will take audio input for the source and destination for the journey and provide the available buses from the nearest location of the user on that route as audio output. It will provide the ETA and location of the target bus. This app will coordinate with the driver’s app and live notifications will be given to the driver for any visually impaired passenger.

Music Genre classification on Neural Network is presented in this article. The research work uses spectrogram images generated from the songs timeslices and given as input to NN to do classification of songs to their respective musical genre. The research work focuses on analyzing the parameters of the model. Using two different datasets and implementing NN technique we have achieved an optimized result. The Convolutional Neural Network model presented in this article classifies 10 classes of Music Genres with the improved accuracy.

The modern-day customer has new priorities when it comes to dine-out and the top of them is safety. Most of the restaurant’s meal orders rely on the interaction with waiters to place orders into the kitchen. Due to the pandemic situation, there happens to be discomfort interacting with waiters and other staff members of the restaurant. To solve such problems this system is developed. This system covers the whole order process of a restaurant including the interaction between the customer, the waiter, the kitchen, and the cashier through a web application. Additionally, restaurant owners will be able to enhance sales by using this system to analyze data gathered. This system will attempt to replace the traditional manual ordering process.A better user experience that includes food recommendations can indirectly boost customer loyalty to the restaurant. It is a complete product for managing restaurant services with minimal human interaction while providing maximum contactless service.

This paper deals with GPU computing of special mathematical functions that are used in Fractional Calculus. The graphics processing unit (GPU) has grown to be an integral part of nowadays’s mainstream computing structures. The special mathematical functions are an integral part of Fractional Calculus. This paper deals with a novel parallel approach for computing special mathematical functions used in Fractional Calculus. NVIDIA’s GPU hardware is used to speed up the parallel algorithm. A comparison of the sequential code, vectorized code and GPU code is performed. We have successfully reduced the computation time of special mathematical functions using the parallel computing capabilities of GPU.

This paper proposes a system that simplifies the procurement and sale of vehicular spare parts and is particular focused on automotive spare parts. Car manufacturers have immense pressure to provide spare parts for all vehicles. For a car in production spares are available until the term decided by the manufacturer. For a car that is off production spare parts are available through sources such as local market and third-party dealers. But, sometimes there can be a scenario where a customer wants to buy a part from the manufacturer but the part may be very expensive for the customer. The main objective of the work is to bring the manufacturer, supplier and buyer on a common platform and enable customers to purchase spare parts in an efficient and easy manner providing multiple options through a cloud based platform.

The proposed work illustrates the small circular wearable antenna for ultra-wide band (UWB) application. The designed work consists of a circular top patch of 15 mm radius and two square slots of dimensions 6 mm2 at center and 10 mm2 at the top of patch are created. The partial ground plane concept is used to get a wide bandwidth with a dimension of 27 mm × 50 mm. To describe the wearable applications, the light weight jean material is used as a non-conducting dielectric material with the εr of 1.7 and the substrate height of 1 mm. The designed antenna is resonating at the frequency range of 2.27 GHz to 15.18 GHz for ultra-wide band (UWB) applications. Also the bending performance of the proposed antenna is investigated at the radius of 80 mm and the angle of 0˚. The simulated and measured results of S11 parameter of the proposed antenna are below −10 dB for 2–16 GHz UWB frequency range. The group delay of antenna also is calculated and simulated values of group delay vary from 0.0473 ns to 0.4502 ns and measured 0.1217–0.9852 ns for the wide frequency band. The different antenna parameters are analyzed for this frequency band and the designed antenna is validated on VNA of 20 GHz. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Virtual Reality is a computer generated scenario that simulates a realistic experience. Current popular online maps majorly provide two-dimensional upper views of buildings. It becomes difficult to visualize the interiors of a place. Indoor navigation using VR technology addresses the problem of visualizing the interior infrastructure of huge complex buildings like stadium. This paper ‘Indoor Navigation in Stadium using Virtual Reality’ aims to provide highly realistic and immersive experience by incorporating an app that uses 360 degree images to serve the purpose. The paper explains how WebVR technology can be used effectively in order to provide a three dimensional view of the stadium with navigation functionalities to the users.

Objectives: To evaluate the value of pleural fluid alkaline phosphatase and pleural fluid/serum alkaline phosphatase ratio for the purpose of differentiating tuberculous from nontuberculous pleural effusion. Materials and Methods: A total of 60 indoor patients, admitted to our hospital, having pleural effusion and suffering from varying etiologies, were included in this study. According to the final diagnosis, these 60 patients were divided into two groups: Tuberculous (30) and nontuberculous (30) pleural effusion. Results: The mean pleural alkaline phosphatase and pleural fluid/serum alkaline phosphatase ratio was significantly higher in tuberculous compared to nontuberculous pleural effusion. ( P < 0.0001). In receiver operating characteristic curve analysis, sensitivity and specificity values were 90% and 80% for a cut-off value of 71 IU/L for pleural alkaline phosphatase activity; and were 90% and 86.66% for a cut-off value of 0.51 for pleural fluid/serum alkaline phosphatase ratio. Conclusion: From this study it is concluded that alkaline phosphatase activity remains a useful test in differentiation of tuberculous from nontuberculous pleural effusion.
