Objetivo: Descrever o perfil epidemiológico das internações por linfoma não-Hodgkin (LNH) na região Sudeste. Material e métodos: Refere-se à um estudo quantitativo, documental retrospectivo e descritivo, realizado a partir de informações referentes ao Perfil epidemiológico das internações por Linfoma não-Hodgkin diagnosticados no período de 2013-2023, disponíveis no banco de dados do Sistema de Informações Hospitalares do SUS (SIH/SUS), pelo CID 10. Nesta pesquisa foram utilizadas as variáveis: região, cor/raça, caráter de atendimento, faixa etária e sexo, sendo realizado um comparativo acerca do número de casos por ano na região sudeste do país. Resultados: As internações por linfoma não-Hodgkin, de 2013 a 2023, se concentraram na região Sudeste (48,45%), já o menor número foi na região Norte (3,39%) do país. No Sudeste, as internações mais prevalentes foram as das etnias branca (54,24%) e parda (31,54%). O número total de atendimentos cresceu progressivamente, exceto em 2020, tendo sido o ano com maior número de internações em 2023 (9,85%) e o menor em 2013 (7,35%). Ademais, as internações por caráter de atendimento em situação de urgência representaram 62,56% do total de atendimentos, sendo crescente e tendo seu ápice no ano de 2023 (9,88%). O grupo etário mais atendido varia, mas observa-se que as faixas de 50 a 59 anos e 60 a 69 anos têm números expressivos de atendimentos, sendo os valores 18,48% e 20,04% respectivamente. As faixas etárias mais jovens, < 1 ano (0,05%) e 1 a 4 anos (2,11%), apresentam números mais baixos. O total de internações masculinas foi 50.145 (58,50%) e o total de internações femininas foi 35.568 (41,50%), somando 85.713 internações no período de 2013 a 2023. Discussão: Os linfomas não-Hodgkin são neoplasias malignas originadas de mutações nas células linfoides progenitoras. A predominância de internações no Sudeste deve-se a maior densidade populacional, acesso a serviços de saúde especializados e maior capacidade de diagnóstico. O ano de 2020 mostra uma leve queda em comparação com anos anteriores, possivelmente devido ao impacto das restrições de saúde pública e ao redirecionamento de recursos de saúde para a COVID-19. A prevalência na etnia branca e parda sugere uma associação genética, ambiental e variação na resposta imunológica. A prevalência em homens pode ser explicada por diferença biológica e hábitos de vida que influenciam no desfecho. Internações em caráter de urgência representam uma maior parcela, indicando que a busca por atendimento ocorre quando há sintomas avançados da doença, devido à triagem inadequada ou pelo acometimento silencioso. Além disso, há uma relação direta entre a idade avançada e maiores internações por LNH, apontando a idade como fator de risco. Conclusão: Os LNH têm múltiplas apresentações de acordo com as células linfoides progenitoras afetadas e sofre crescente aumento no número de casos no Brasil, sendo o maior número em 2023 e o menor em 2020, devido à pandemia. Observa-se um predomínio da região Sudeste e da população branca e parda. Há também uma maior incidência em indivíduos de 50 a 69 anos e do sexo masculino. O aumento considerável nos atendimentos de urgência, não acompanhado pelas consultas eletivas, ressalta a necessidade de estratégias de saúde pública para a detecção precoce da doença, com objetivo de melhorar os desfechos clínicos e qualidade de vida.

Objective: Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) is a myeloproliferative neoplasm characterized by the proliferation of myeloid lineage progenitor cells, increasing the circulating cells of the granulocytic lineage. The aim of this study is to evaluate the status of the BCR-ABL gene fusion transcript (P210) in cases of CML in patients from the Brazilian Amazon in relation to frequency and association with known prognostic laboratory data. Materials and methods: The research was approved by the ethics committee number 20528519.8.0000.5550 and included a total of 161 patients detectable for one of the BCR-ABL gene transcripts between 2015 and 2024. Clinical data (leukocyte count, blast count, platelets, and hemoglobin levels) and epidemiological data (sex and age) were collected from secondary data from the LABMASTER database system of the HEMOPA Foundation. For the analysis of fusion transcripts, c-DNA was obtained to detect the presence of molecular biomarkers by Real-Time PCR (RT-qPCR) using specific Taqman probes on the Rotor Gene equipment. Descriptive statistics were used for qualitative variables, determining absolute and percentage frequencies of the qualitative variables. For quantitative variables, median values and standard deviation were calculated according to the variables under study. The Kruskal-Wallis test was used to test the association of the presence of one of the P210 transcripts (B2A2, B3A2, and/or Both) with the clinical data, adopting a p-value ≤ 0.05 as significant. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS software version 29.0. Results: Regarding the BCR-ABL gene, 39% (63/161) presented the B2A2 transcript, 30% (50/161) presented B3A2, and 31% (48/161) presented Both. Of the patients, 57% (92/161) were male and 43% (69/161) were female, with a median age of 44.5 years. In terms of white cell count, patients had a median of 164,200/mm3; regarding blast count, the median was 6,816/mm3; for platelet count, the median was 401,250/mm3; and for hemoglobin levels, the median was 11 g/dL. The Kruskal-Wallis test revealed no statistical difference between the types of P210 gene fusion transcripts and the analyzed clinical laboratory data. Discussion: Studies conducted by other researchers on CML and the BCR-ABL gene found a higher prevalence in male patients, which is consistent with the findings of this study. However, the median age of patients is about 10 years lower than reported in the literature. Studies in Latin American (Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador) presented the B2A2 transcript as the most frequent, which corroborates the findings of this study, while in European countries (Bulgaria, Italy, and Serbia), the B3A2 transcript was the most prevalent. These differences can be explained by different ethnicities, but deeper studies are needed to understand the impact of genetic ancestry and the presence of the fusion transcript. Conclusion: In the present study, the B2A2 transcript was observed as the most prevalent in patients with CML and this type of transcript had a higher median leukocyte compared to the other groups, and patients with the B3A2 transcript had a higher median platelet compared to the others. However, no significant difference was found between the groups. The transcript impacts the disease development process, so it is worthwhile to study the P210 pathways and find new treatment strategies.

Objetivos: O Torque Teno Vírus (TTV) é um patógeno de distribuição global, altamente presente no viroma humano e pertencente ao gênero Alphatorquevirus e família Anelloviridae. Responsável por infecção crônica em humanos e animais, possui patogenicidade incerta, não há evidência direta ligando o TTV a uma patologia, contudo a infecção é frequentemente associada a diversos grupos de pacientes com doenças hepáticas, renais, respiratórias e infecções pelos Vírus da Hepatite C (HCV) e Vírus da imunodeficiência Humana (HIV). Dentre as vias de transmissão destaca-se a por via parenteral, mas também há transmissão direta e vertical. O presente estudo teve por objetivo descrever a prevalência da coinfecção TTV/HCV em amostras de pacientes atendidos no Centro de Hemoterapia e Hematologia do Pará (Fundação HEMOPA) para pesquisa de HCV. Material e métodos: Foram utilizadas 155 amostras de plasma dos pacientes atendidos na Fundação HEMOPA, durante o período de janeiro de 2014 a dezembro de 2020, para detecção de HCV. Para a detecção molecular do TTV foi realizada a extração de DNA pelo kit QIAamp DNA Mini Kit (QIAGEN), seguida da Reação em Cadeia da Polimerase em tempo real (qPCR) pelo ensaio TaqMan® (Applied Biosystems). O resultado da testagem para HCV, diagnóstico do paciente e os dados epidemiológicos foram provenientes do banco de dados da Fundação HEMOPA, sendo os pacientes agrupados em portadores de doenças hematológicas (Coagulopatias, doença falciforme, talassemia, anemias, esferocitose hereditária, púrpura trombocitopênica idiopática, síndrome mielodisplásica), pacientes com doenças não hematológicas, e pacientes com condições clínicas (plaquetopenia, cirrose hepática, leucopenia, hiperferritinemia). O estudo foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa (CEP), sob o parecer 5249573. Resultados: Dentre as 155 amostras, 91,6% (142/155) foram detectáveis para TTV, sendo que a coinfecção TTV/HCV obteve uma prevalência de 47,7% (74/155), em homens 63,5% (47/74) e mulheres 36,5 % (27/74), e idade entre 15-78 anos (50,3 ± 14,79). A coinfecção foi observada predominantemente em pacientes com doenças hematológicas 66,2% (49/74) em comparação aos pacientes com doenças não hematológicas 12,8% (9/74) e condições clínicas 9,4% (7/74). Discussão: A alta frequência do TTV é coerente com o status de vírus cosmopolita e amplamente presente no viroma humano. A coinfecção TTV/ HCV reacende o debate que pacientes infectados pelo HCV são frequentemente infectados pelo TTV e retoma o histórico do TTV, identificado pela primeira vez em um paciente com hepatite pós transfusional aguda, após transfusão de hemocomponentes. Devido a Fundação HEMOPA prestar serviço a pacientes hematológicos e estes frequentemente necessitarem de transfusões sanguíneas é coerente a prevalência encontrada, visto que corresponde a principal via de transmissão do vírus. Conclusão: A coinfecção TTV/HCV em pacientes com doenças hematológicas, evidencia a possibilidade de infecção de um vírus prevalente e não testado nos serviços hemoterápicos. A presença simultânea de TTV e HCV pode influenciar no diagnóstico viral, na carga viral do HCV, na resposta imunológica e aos tratamentos antivirais no paciente. Associado às doenças hematológicas pode ser imprescindível ter que adotar abordagens terapêuticas individualizadas para estes pacientes.

Objetivos: Este trabalho relata a experiência dos discentes do Centro Universitário São Camilo (CUSC) durante a participação em estágios na Clínica Escola PROMOVE, enfatizando o impacto da prática na formação acadêmica e profissional dos estudantes, tanto em termos de conhecimento técnico-científico quanto no desenvolvimento emocional. Material e métodos: Os estágios e discussões de casos de Hematologia ocorreram na Clínica Escola PROMOVE e no laboratório do CUSC, em São Paulo. Durante um semestre, os alunos se reuniam semanalmente para atender pacientes hematológicos na clínica escola e discutir casos clínicos combinados com a análise de lâminas de esfregaço de sangue periférico. Resultados: Os alunos, divididos em grupos, rotacionavam nas atividades. O estágio consistia em atender pacientes hematológicos e discutir hipóteses diagnósticas e condutas com professores especialistas em hematologia. Nos laboratórios, os alunos recebiam casos clínicos reais e discutiam hipóteses diagnósticas e seu manejo, observando lâminas de esfregaço sanguíneo periférico. Cada ambiente proporcionou ensinamentos variados sobre doenças, sinais e sintomas, exames diagnósticos e opções terapêuticas, além de desenvolver o raciocínio clínico, que promoveu melhor relação-médico paciente por demonstrar maior domínio na área. O aprendizado pessoal foi incentivado, aumentando o interesse dos alunos em participar da Liga Acadêmica de Hematologia e Hemoterapia São Camilo (LAHHSC), que promove o desenvolvimento de pesquisas e iniciações científicas, aulas e palestras na área. Discussão: Os estágios práticos do curso de medicina do CUSC iniciam-se no primeiro semestre de graduação, com frequência nas UBS da região do Ipiranga e bairros vizinhos, continuando ao longo dos semestres nas especializações respectivas. O contato contínuo dos discentes com a prática clínica e laboratórios das especialidades fomenta o interesse pela vida acadêmica. Atender pacientes na Clínica Escola PROMOVE é uma oportunidade para os alunos desenvolverem habilidades extracurriculares essenciais para profissionais da saúde, como comunicação eficaz com pacientes e postura adequada em consultórios. A frequência em laboratórios de Hematologia e Hemoterapia incentiva os discentes a seguirem carreiras acadêmicas voltadas para pesquisa e desenvolvimento na área. Estágios e laboratórios facilitam o entendimento em Hematologia e Hemoterapia, apresentando aos alunos a rotina do médico hematologista e incentivando-os a se especializarem na área, destacando as diferentes oportunidades no mercado de trabalho. Conclusão: Este relato de experiência demonstra as contribuições significativas para o aprendizado dos acadêmicos do CUSC, tanto na aproximação com a área de Hematologia e Hemoterapia quanto na observação das possibilidades e oportunidades da carreira de um médico hematologista. Essas experiências práticas são essenciais para formar profissionais mais completos e preparados para o mercado de trabalho.

Introdução: As ligas acadêmicas são atividades extracurriculares organizadas por alunos e orientadas por professores com interesse comum em determinado tema. Baseadas no tripé ensino, pesquisa e extensão, essas ligas são supervisionadas por um professor orientador e compostas por alunos de graduação, seguindo um estatuto próprio. A Liga Acadêmica de Hematologia e Hemoterapia São Camilo (LAHHSC), do Centro Universitário São Camilo (CUSC), exemplifica esse modelo, promovendo a formação acadêmica dos seus integrantes. As ligas combinam ações teóricas e práticas, as quais incluem aulas, seminários, discussões de textos, apresentações de casos clínicos e eventos científicos. Na LAHHSC, as práticas ocorrem no laboratório e na Clínica Escola PROMOVE, no Ipiranga, onde atuam professores e convidados enriquecendo o aprendizado dos estudantes. Objetivos: Este relato visa destacar a importância da LAHHSC na formação dos estudantes de Medicina, enfatizando seu papel crucial na produção científica e na inclusão acadêmica. Pretende-se evidenciar como a participação na LAHHSC contribui para o desenvolvimento das competências técnicas e teóricas dos alunos em sua experiência universitária. Além disso, busca-se demonstrar a relevância dessas atividades, as quais proporcionam oportunidades únicas de aprendizado, pesquisa e extensão, essenciais para sua futura atuação profissional. Material e métodos: Trata-se de um relato de experiência de um membro da diretoria da LAHHSC, que discorre sobre sua participação na liga ao longo de um ano e meio. Esse período proporcionou um ambiente extracurricular enriquecedor, oferecendo inúmeras oportunidades para os estudantes aprimorarem suas habilidades práticas e teóricas. Resultados: A LAHHSC é fundamental como grupo de estudo e desenvolvimento científico, promovendo a divulgação de casos clínicos e contribuindo para a inovação científica e inclusão acadêmica. A liga possibilitou a inserção e o acolhimento de estudantes de diferentes semestres, permitindo a construção de novos laços entre alunos do CUSC. Destaca-se o desenvolvimento de atividades de produção científica propostas aos ligantes, como a escrita de capítulos de livro sobre anemias e leucemias para o “Guia prático em saúde pública: Uma abordagem interprofissional” e a iniciação científica “Causas Múltiplas de Morte no Mieloma Múltiplo”, ambas em fase de produção. Discussão: A liga desempenha um papel ativo nas áreas de pesquisa e produção científica, promovendo a disseminação de conhecimento. Os alunos participaram do Congresso Brasileiro de Hematologia, Hemoterapia e Terapia Celular - HEMO 2023, apresentando um trabalho relevante para a comunidade acadêmica. Adicionalmente, participaram da 11ªEdição do Congresso Médico Universitário São Camilo, onde apresentaram um trabalho que foi premiado. Conclusão: A experiência vivenciada pelos ligantes durante o ano de atuação da liga foi extremamente satisfatória, proporcionando a aquisição de habilidades e informações valiosas que os acompanharão em sua carreira médica. Observou-se um notável crescimento acadêmico dos integrantes, tanto em termos de domínio do conteúdo quanto na aplicação prática. Além disso, a liga alcançou uma ampla comunidade acadêmica e geral por meio de suas redes sociais, onde divulgam conteúdos informativos sobre hematologia. A LAHHSC se mostrou eficaz em cumprir o tripé de ensino, pesquisa e extensão, demonstrando seu papel essencial na formação de futuros profissionais de saúde.

Introdução: Ao observar os estudantes de medicina do Centro Universitário São Camilo (CUSC) e sua grade curricular, verificou-se escassez e falta de veracidade das informações sobre a doação de sangue. As escolas são as instituições onde essa informação é menos abordada, e as instituições médicas não corrigem essa deficiência, perpetuando a desinformação, que contribui para a baixa adesão à doação de sangue. Isso ressalta a importância das ligas acadêmicas no incentivo e divulgação de informações sobre doação de sangue e sua necessidade para a comunidade. A doação de sangue é um ato solidário que deve ser estimulado continuamente para tornar o recrutamento eficiente e benéfico à população, destacando novamente a importância das ligas acadêmicas nas instituições médicas, ao oferecerem uma nova perspectiva sobre a doação de sangue desde o início da graduação. Objetivos: Este relato visa observar o impacto das campanhas de doação de sangue promovidas pela Liga Acadêmica de Hematologia e Hemoterapia São Camilo (LAHHSC) em conjunto com a Liga Acadêmica de Hematologia e Banco de Sangue São Camilo (LAHBSSC) no conhecimento dos estudantes da área da saúde do CUSC. Além disso, pretende-se analisar a contribuição dessas ligas por meio de aulas e simpósios que evidenciam a importância da doação de sangue para a população. Metodologia: Trata-se de um relato de experiência de discentes do CUSC e sua interação com LAHHSC, no qual discorrem sobre o conhecimento adquirido desde o início da graduação. Isto proporcionou um ambiente extracurricular enriquecedor, oferecendo inúmeras oportunidades para os estudantes aprimorarem suas habilidades práticas e teóricas. Resultados: Foram realizadas aulas, projetos e campanhas que fomentaram a discussão sobre a doação de sangue entre os discentes do CUSC. Exemplos incluem a divulgação de links para inscrição de doadores e o incentivo aos alunos através de fornecimento de horas complementares, necessárias durante a graduação. Foram ministradas aulas sobre hematopoiese, critérios de doação e condições que podem necessitar de transfusão, como anemia, doença falciforme, leucemia e hemofilia. A LAHHSC também produziu conteúdos científicos que permitiram discussões aprofundadas entre orientadores e participantes. Discussão: A divulgação de links e o espaço cedido pela universidade facilitaram o processo de doação de sangue pelos alunos, funcionários e pela comunidade do Ipiranga, uma vez que é um evento aberto ao público. As aulas e os trabalhos científicos sobre doenças e emergências que necessitam de transfusão elucidaram a relevância e a demanda da doação de sangue para os discentes. Conclusão: A experiência demonstrou que a atuação das ligas acadêmicas é essencial para preencher as lacunas existentes no ensino sobre doação de sangue. As campanhas, aulas e materiais educativos produzidos pela LAHHSC e pela LAHBSSC foram eficazes em aumentar o conhecimento e o engajamento dos estudantes. No entanto, para garantir um impacto duradouro e ampliar a adesão à doação de sangue, é imprescindível que as instituições de ensino superior integrem esse tema de forma mais estruturada em seus currículos. Promover uma educação completa e contínua sobre este tema contribuirá para o desenvolvimento de uma cultura de solidariedade e engajamento entre os futuros profissionais da saúde, assegurando um suporte adequado às necessidades de transfusão de sangue da população.

Introdução: O perfil da Liga Acadêmica de Hematologia e Hemoterapia São Camilo (LAHHSC) no Instagram atrai interessados na área de hematologia, incluindo estudantes da saúde e leigos, com 1154 seguidores. Essa abrangência foi alcançada através de posts informativos regulares e stories interativos com casos clínicos que estimulam o raciocínio do público. Objetivos: A página no Instagram visa disseminar conceitos sobre doenças prevalentes de maneira simplificada e acessível, além de promover campanhas de doação de sangue e medula óssea e eventos próprios, aprofundando temas relevantes para a formação acadêmica. Este estudo analisou se o impacto obtido influenciou o crescimento da liga. Material e métodos: O impacto dessa mídia social foi analisado pelo alcance dos posts e stories de janeiro de 2023 a fevereiro de 2024, totalizando 26 posts e 95 stories. Dentre os posts, 17 divulgaram eventos da liga, 4 apresentaram a diretoria e ligantes aprovados, 1 foi dedicado a uma campanha de doação de sangue, e 4 foram informativos sobre o conceito de hematologia, a LAHHSC e suas atividades, anemia ferropriva e doença de von Willebrand. Nos stories, 58 divulgaram eventos e aulas, 5 abordaram atividades da diretoria, 26 foram reposts de eventos, 2 sobre datas comemorativas da área e 4 mostraram a participação da liga em congressos. Resultados: Os 26 posts alcançaram, em média, 803,88 contas, sendo cerca de 40% de não seguidores, e tiveram 1132,85 impressões. O post mais eficaz foi o do Curso Introdutório, com 1595 contas alcançadas e 1875 impressões. Nos stories, destacam-se os interativos com casos clínicos, que obtiveram até 70 respostas, e os stories da aula prática “Oficina de Hematologia: esfregaço sanguíneo periférico e análise morfológica”, com cerca de 2500 visualizações. Discussão: Antes do período analisado, o Instagram da liga era inativo. A meta da gestão 2023-24 foi melhorar o alcance para atrair novos ligantes e interessados em hematologia. Como resultado, quadruplicou-se o número de participantes no último curso introdutório em setembro de 2023. O impacto das redes sociais permitiu o crescimento da LAHHSC e a expansão de suas atividades, além de conquistar patrocínios para eventos. A mídia social da LAHHSC revelou-se um importante instrumento para a divulgação de temas pertinentes, permitindo a disseminação do conhecimento de forma acessível e interativa. Isso foi realizado através de conteúdos diversificados que geraram engajamento e alcance além da rede de seguidores, resultando no aumento de participantes nos eventos da liga e no interesse em se tornarem futuros membros. Conclusão: O perfil do Instagram da LAHHSC demonstra como as redes sociais podem ser eficazes na promoção de educação e engajamento em áreas específicas da saúde. Através de uma estratégia de conteúdo bem planejada e executada, foi possível ampliar significativamente o alcance e a influência da liga, beneficiando tanto os estudantes quanto a comunidade em geral. Isso reforça a importância de utilizar plataformas digitais para complementar e enriquecer a formação acadêmica e profissional.

Introdução: O transplante de células-tronco hematopoéticas (TCTH) é um dos tratamentos utilizados para algumas doenças hematológicas, e passou a ser uma abordagem terapêutica cada vez mais utilizada por ser capaz de curar ou prolongar significativamente a vida de muitos pacientes que não responderam a outros tipos de tratamento. Por se tratar de um procedimento complexo, durante todas as etapas da realização do transplante, entende-se a necessidade da participação de uma equipe multidisciplinar para que seja possível oferecer a integralidade do cuidado ao indivíduo. Cada profissional desempenha um papel essencial em todas as etapas do tratamento, desde o pré-transplante até o acompanhamento após a alta, entretanto a colaboração e a interação estreita entre esses profissionais é fundamental para a plenitude do acompanhamento. Objetivo: Desenvolvimento de um Check-list multidisciplinar para monitoramento dos pacientes do setor de transplante de medula óssea. Método: Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo descritivo, do tipo relato de experiencia sobre o desenvolvimento de um check-list multidisciplinar para monitoramento e discussão de casos sobre os usuários do serviço de Hematologia e Transplante de Medula Óssea em Juiz de Fora, MG. Para construção do instrumento, foram selecionadas perguntas específicas sobre a doença de base e tratamento, além de espaços destinados ao preenchimento de futuras condutas/atualizações dos profissionais multidisciplinares (Farmácia, Nutrição, Fisioterapia, Odontologia, Serviço Social, Medicina, Enfermagem e Psicologia) que acompanham o paciente. Resultados: O check-list multidisciplinar desenvolvido contém as informações básicas sobre o processo de transplante do paciente, a saber: diagnóstico; local de coleta das CTH; tipo de transplante; D+ e fase do tratamento; data do transplante e neutropenia; e protocolo de condicionamento, além da necessidade de algum imunossupressor. Também há espaços abertos para descrever sintomas atuais do paciente, condutas específicas a se tomar e/ou as que estão acontecendo no momento por cada área profissional envolvida com o usuário, e condutas gerais a se tomar baseado nas discussões de equipe. A construção do check-list foi parte das atividades desenvolvidas pela equipe multiprofissional do Programa de Residência Multiprofissional em Saúde do Adulto com ênfase em doenças crônico-degenerativas do HU-UFJF em parceria com os profissionais do serviço, nos meses de março a junho de 2024. Discussão: O check-list foi aplicado nas reuniões de serviço para cada paciente internado, ou em pré-transplante que a internação está programada, assegurando a qualidade e segurança dos cuidados prestados aos pacientes ao evidenciar as condutas necessárias, o prazo para as mesmas serem realizadas e as pendências, facilitando o acompanhamento do paciente durante todo o tratamento. Resveratrol and its glucoside, piceid, are the primary stilbenes present in wine. These compounds are well known for their pharmaceutical properties. However, these compounds can undergo chemical transformations in wines, such as polymerization in the presence of metallic reagents. This study investigates the oxidative coupling of resveratrol and piceid to form dimers, including δ-viniferin and δ-viniferin-diglucoside. These dimers were synthesized using silver acetate. The formation of these stilbenes was monitored in wine model solutions and red wines. The results indicated that resveratrol and piceid underwent transformation during heat treatment, forming their respective dimers. The polymerization of both compounds is temperature-dependent, with higher conversion rates at elevated temperatures. Notably, piceid was more reactive than resveratrol in wine. Finally, the anti-inflammatory effects of these compounds were evaluated on the RAW 264.7 macrophage cell line.

Background: Malnutrition is one of the main nutritional problems in Indonesia and East Java. Malnutrition is the cause of more than 1/3 of 9.2 million deaths in children under the age of 5 in the world. Toddlers are a very vulnerable group related to nutrition in society. If the nutrition of children under five is not fulfilled continuously it will cause stunting. Method: This study uses descriptive analysis to overview of the problem of factors related to the incidence of undernutrition in children under five at Posyandu Randugading, Tajinan District, Malang Regency. The sample consisted of 36 children under five using a total sampling technique. This paper presents a search for dark matter in the context of a two-Higgs-doublet model together with an additional pseudoscalar mediator, a, which decays into the dark-matter particles. Processes where the pseudoscalar mediator is produced in association with a single top quark in the 2HDM+a model are explored for the first time at the LHC. Several final states which include either one or two charged leptons (electrons or muons) and a significant amount of missing transverse momentum are considered. The analysis is based on proton–proton collision data collected with the ATLAS experiment at s=13 TeV during LHC Run 2 (2015–2018), corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb - 1. No significant excess above the Standard Model predictions is found. The results are expressed as 95% confidence-level limits on the parameters of the signal models considered.

Measurements of both the inclusive and differential production cross sections of a top-quark–antiquark pair in association with a Z boson (tt¯ Z) are presented. The measurements are performed by targeting final states with three or four isolated leptons (electrons or muons) and are based on s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 139 fb - 1, recorded from 2015 to 2018 with the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. The inclusive cross section is measured to be σtt¯Z= 0.99 ± 0.05 (stat.) ±0.08 (syst.) pb, in agreement with the most precise theoretical predictions. The differential measurements are presented as a function of a number of kinematic variables which probe the kinematics of the tt¯ Z system. Both absolute and normalised differential cross-section measurements are performed at particle and parton levels for specific fiducial volumes and are compared with theoretical predictions at different levels of precision, based on a χ2/ ndf and p value computation. Overall, good agreement is observed between the unfolded data and the predictions.

Jet energy scale and resolution measurements with their associated uncertainties are reported for jets using 36–81 fb- 1 of proton–proton collision data with a centre-of-mass energy of s=13 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Jets are reconstructed using two different input types: topo-clusters formed from energy deposits in calorimeter cells, as well as an algorithmic combination of charged-particle tracks with those topo-clusters, referred to as the ATLAS particle-flow reconstruction method. The anti-kt jet algorithm with radius parameter R= 0.4 is the primary jet definition used for both jet types. This result presents new jet energy scale and resolution measurements in the high pile-up conditions of late LHC Run 2 as well as a full calibration of particle-flow jets in ATLAS. Jets are initially calibrated using a sequence of simulation-based corrections. Next, several in situ techniques are employed to correct for differences between data and simulation and to measure the resolution of jets. The systematic uncertainties in the jet energy scale for central jets (| η| < 1.2) vary from 1% for a wide range of high-pT jets (2502.5TeV). The relative jet energy resolution is measured and ranges from (24 ± 1.5)% at 20 GeV to (6 ± 0.5)% at 300 GeV.

The production cross-section of a top quark in association with a W boson is measured using proton–proton collisions at s=8TeV. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 20.2fb-1, and was collected in 2012 by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. The analysis is performed in the single-lepton channel. Events are selected by requiring one isolated lepton (electron or muon) and at least three jets. A neural network is trained to separate the tW signal from the dominant tt¯ background. The cross-section is extracted from a binned profile maximum-likelihood fit to a two-dimensional discriminant built from the neural-network output and the invariant mass of the hadronically decaying W boson. The measured cross-section is σtW=26±7pb, in good agreement with the Standard Model expectation.

The ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) employs a trigger system consisting of a first-level hardware trigger (L1) and a software-based high-level trigger. The L1 muon trigger system selects muon candidates, assigns them to the correct LHC bunch crossing and classifies them into one of six transverse-momentum threshold classes. The L1 muon trigger system uses resistive-plate chambers (RPCs) to generate the muon-induced trigger signals in the central (barrel) region of the ATLAS detector. The ATLAS RPCs are arranged in six concentric layers and operate in a toroidal magnetic field with a bending power of 1.5 to 5.5 Tm. The RPC detector consists of about 3700 gas volumes with a total surface area of more than 4000 m2. This paper reports on the performance of the RPC detector and L1 muon barrel trigger using 60.8 fb-1 of proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS experiment in 2018 at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. Detector and trigger performance are studied using Z boson decays into a muon pair. Measurements of the RPC detector response, efficiency, and time resolution are reported. Measurements of the L1 muon barrel trigger efficiencies and rates are presented, along with measurements of the properties of the selected sample of muon candidates. Measurements of the RPC currents, counting rates and mean avalanche charge are performed using zero-bias collisions. Finally, RPC detector response and efficiency are studied at different high voltage and front-end discriminator threshold settings in order to extrapolate detector response to the higher luminosity expected for the High Luminosity LHC.

Leptons with essentially the same properties apart from their mass are grouped into three families (or flavours). The number of leptons of each flavour is conserved in interactions, but this is not imposed by fundamental principles. Since the formulation of the standard model of particle physics, the observation of flavour oscillations among neutrinos has shown that lepton flavour is not conserved in neutrino weak interactions. So far, there has been no experimental evidence that this also occurs in interactions between charged leptons. Such an observation would be a sign of undiscovered particles or a yet unknown type of interaction. Here the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN reports a constraint on lepton-flavour-violating effects in weak interactions, searching for Z-boson decays into a τ lepton and another lepton of different flavour with opposite electric charge. The branching fractions for these decays are measured to be less than 8.1 × 10−6 (eτ) and 9.5 × 10−6 (μτ) at the 95% confidence level using 139 fb−1 of proton–proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of s=13TeV and 20.3 fb−1 at s=8TeV. These results supersede the limits from the Large Electron–Positron Collider experiments conducted more than two decades ago.

The ATLAS Fast TracKer (FTK) was designed to provide full tracking for the ATLAS high-level trigger by using pattern recognition based on Associative Memory (AM) chips and fitting in high-speed field programmable gate arrays. The tracks found by the FTK are based on inputs from all modules of the pixel and silicon microstrip trackers. The as-built FTK system and components are described, as is the online software used to control them while running in the ATLAS data acquisition system. Also described is the simulation of the FTK hardware and the optimization of the AM pattern banks. An optimization for long-lived particles with large impact parameter values is included. A test of the FTK system with the data playback facility that allowed the FTK to be commissioned during the shutdown between Run 2 and Run 3 of the LHC is reported. The resulting tracks from part of the FTK system covering a limited η-ϕ region of the detector are compared with the output from the FTK simulation. It is shown that FTK performance is in good agreement with the simulation.

The standard model of particle physics encapsulates our best current understanding of physics at the smallest scales. A fundamental axiom of this theory is the universality of the couplings of the different generations of leptons to the electroweak gauge bosons. The measurement of the ratio of the decay rate of W bosons to τ leptons and muons, R(τ/μ), constitutes an important test of this axiom. Using 139 fb−1 of proton–proton collisions recorded with the ATLAS detector at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, we report a measurement of this quantity from di-leptonic tt¯ events where the top quarks decay into a W boson and a bottom quark. We can distinguish muons originating from W bosons and those originating from an intermediate τ lepton through the muon transverse impact parameter and differences in the muon transverse momentum spectra. The measured value of R(τ/μ) is 0.992 ± 0.013 [± 0.007(stat) ± 0.011(syst)] and is in agreement with the hypothesis of universal lepton couplings as postulated in the standard model. This is the only such measurement from the Large Hadron Collider, so far, and obtains twice the precision of previous measurements.

The paper presents a measurement of the Standard Model Higgs Boson decaying to b-quark pairs in the vector boson fusion (VBF) production mode. A sample corresponding to 126 fb - 1 of s=13TeV proton–proton collision data, collected with the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, is analyzed utilizing an adversarial neural network for event classification. The signal strength, defined as the ratio of the measured signal yield to that predicted by the Standard Model for VBF Higgs production, is measured to be 0.95-0.36+0.38 , corresponding to an observed (expected) significance of 2.6 (2.8) standard deviations from the background only hypothesis. The results are additionally combined with an analysis of Higgs bosons decaying to b-quarks, produced via VBF in association with a photon.

When quoting the final cross section result in the text of the paper (Eur. Phys. J. C 80 (2020) 957), the theory component of the uncertainty was incorrectly set to 0.04 pb while the correct value of 0.03 pb was given in Table 8 and in all other results reported in this paper.

Jet substructure has provided new opportunities for searches and measurements at the LHC, and has seen continuous development since the optimization of the large-radius jet definition used by ATLAS was performed during Run 1. A range of new inputs to jet reconstruction, pile-up mitigation techniques and jet grooming algorithms motivate an optimisation of large-radius jet reconstruction for ATLAS. In this paper, this optimisation procedure is presented, and the performance of a wide range of large-radius jet definitions is compared. The relative performance of these jet definitions is assessed using metrics such as their pileup stability, ability to identify hadronically decaying W bosons and top quarks with large transverse momenta. A new type of jet input object, called a ‘unified flow object’ is introduced which combines calorimeter- and inner-detector-based signals in order to achieve optimal performance across a wide kinematic range. Large-radius jet definitions are identified which significantly improve on the current ATLAS baseline definition, and their modelling is studied using pp collisions recorded by the ATLAS detector at s=13TeV during 2017.

A search for pair production of scalar leptoquarks, each decaying into either an electron or a muon and a top quark, is presented. This is the first leptoquark search using ATLAS data to investigate top-philic cross-generational couplings that could provide explanations for recently observed anomalies in B meson decays. This analysis targets high leptoquark masses which cause the decay products of each resultant top quark to be contained within a single high-pT large-radius jet. The full Run 2 dataset is exploited, consisting of 139fb-1 of data collected from proton–proton collisions at s=13TeV from 2015 to 2018 with the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. In the absence of any significant deviation from the background expectation, lower limits on the leptoquark masses are set at 1480GeV and 1470GeV for the electron and muon channel, respectively.

A measurement of the Bs0→J/ψϕ decay parameters using 80.5fb-1 of integrated luminosity collected with the ATLAS detector from 13 Te proton–proton collisions at the LHC is presented. The measured parameters include the CP-violating phase ϕs, the width difference Δ Γ s between the Bs0 meson mass eigenstates and the average decay width Γ s. The values measured for the physical parameters are combined with those from 19.2fb-1 of 7 and 8 Te data, leading to the following: ϕs=-0.087±0.036(stat.)±0.021(syst.)radΔΓs=0.0657±0.0043(stat.)±0.0037(syst.)ps-1Γs=0.6703±0.0014(stat.)±0.0018(syst.)ps-1Results for ϕs and Δ Γ s are also presented as 68% confidence level contours in the ϕs–Δ Γ s plane. Furthermore the transversity amplitudes and corresponding strong phases are measured. ϕs and Δ Γ s measurements are in agreement with the Standard Model predictions.

A search for the pair production of heavy leptons as predicted by the type-III seesaw mechanism is presented. The search uses proton–proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to 139fb-1 of integrated luminosity recorded by the ATLAS detector during Run 2 of the Large Hadron Collider. The analysis focuses on the final state with two light leptons (electrons or muons) of different flavour and charge combinations, with at least two jets and large missing transverse momentum. No significant excess over the Standard Model expectation is observed. The results are translated into exclusion limits on heavy-lepton masses, and the observed lower limit on the mass of the type-III seesaw heavy leptons is 790 GeV at 95% confidence level.

Measurements of the Standard Model Higgs boson decaying into a bb¯ pair and produced in association with a W or Z boson decaying into leptons, using proton–proton collision data collected between 2015 and 2018 by the ATLAS detector, are presented. The measurements use collisions produced by the Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of s=13Te, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139fb-1. The production of a Higgs boson in association with a W or Z boson is established with observed (expected) significances of 4.0 (4.1) and 5.3 (5.1) standard deviations, respectively. Cross-sections of associated production of a Higgs boson decaying into bottom quark pairs with an electroweak gauge boson, W or Z, decaying into leptons are measured as a function of the gauge boson transverse momentum in kinematic fiducial volumes. The cross-section measurements are all consistent with the Standard Model expectations, and the total uncertainties vary from 30% in the high gauge boson transverse momentum regions to 85% in the low regions. Limits are subsequently set on the parameters of an effective Lagrangian sensitive to modifications of the WH and ZH processes as well as the Higgs boson decay into bb¯.

A search is presented for new phenomena in events characterised by high jet multiplicity, no leptons (electrons or muons), and four or more jets originating from the fragmentation of b-quarks (b-jets). The search uses 139fb-1 of s = 13 TeV proton–proton collision data collected by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider during Run 2. The dominant Standard Model background originates from multijet production and is estimated using a data-driven technique based on an extrapolation from events with low b-jet multiplicity to the high b-jet multiplicities used in the search. No significant excess over the Standard Model expectation is observed and 95% confidence-level limits that constrain simplified models of R-parity-violating supersymmetry are determined. The exclusion limits reach 950 GeV in top-squark mass in the models considered.

This paper describes a search for beyond the Standard Model decays of the Higgs boson into a pair of new spin-0 particles subsequently decaying into b-quark pairs, H → aa → (bb¯)(bb¯), using protonproton collision data collected by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider at center-of-mass energy √s = 13 TeV. This search focuses on the range 15 GeV ≤ ma ≤ 30 GeV, where the decay products are collimated; it is complementary to a previous search in the same final state targeting the range 20 GeV ≤ ma ≤ 60 GeV, where the decay products are well separated. A novel strategy for the identification of the a → bb¯ decays is deployed to enhance the efficiency for topologies with small separation angles. The search is performed with 36 fb-1 of integrated luminosity collected in 2015 and 2016 and sets upper limits on the production cross section of H → aa → (bb¯)(bb¯), where the Higgs boson is produced in association with a Z boson.

The performance of the ATLAS Inner Detector alignment has been studied using pp collision data at s=13TeV collected by the ATLAS experiment during Run 2 (2015–2018) of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The goal of the detector alignment is to determine the detector geometry as accurately as possible and correct for time-dependent movements. The Inner Detector alignment is based on the minimization of track-hit residuals in a sequence of hierarchical levels, from global mechanical assembly structures to local sensors. Subsequent levels have increasing numbers of degrees of freedom; in total there are almost 750,000. The alignment determines detector geometry on both short and long timescales, where short timescales describe movements within an LHC fill. The performance and possible track parameter biases originating from systematic detector deformations are evaluated. Momentum biases are studied using resonances decaying to muons or to electrons. The residual sagitta bias and momentum scale bias after alignment are reduced to less than ∼0.1TeV-1 and 0.9 × 10 - 3, respectively. Impact parameter biases are also evaluated using tracks within jets.

This paper reports on a search for heavy resonances decaying into WW, ZZ or WZ using proton–proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of s=13 TeV. The data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb 1, were recorded with the ATLAS detector from 2015 to 2018 at the Large Hadron Collider. The search is performed for final states in which one W or Z boson decays leptonically, and the other W boson or Z boson decays hadronically. The data are found to be described well by expected backgrounds. Upper bounds on the production cross sections of heavy scalar, vector or tensor resonances are derived in the mass range 300–5000 GeV within the context of Standard Model extensions with warped extra dimensions or including a heavy vector triplet. Production through gluon–gluon fusion, Drell–Yan or vector-boson fusion are considered, depending on the assumed model.

This paper presents a search for direct top squark pair production in events with missing transverse momentum plus either a pair of jets consistent with Standard Model Higgs boson decay into b-quarks or a same-flavour opposite-sign dilepton pair with an invariant mass consistent with a Z boson. The analysis is performed using the proton–proton collision data at s=13 TeV collected with the ATLAS detector during the LHC Run-2, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb- 1. No excess is observed in the data above the Standard Model predictions. The results are interpreted in simplified models featuring direct production of pairs of either the lighter top squark (t~ 1) or the heavier top squark (t~ 2), excluding at 95% confidence level t~ 1 and t~ 2 masses up to about 1220 and 875 GeV, respectively.

A search is presented for four-top-quark production using an integrated luminosity of 139 fb- 1 of proton–proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Events are selected if they contain a same-sign lepton pair or at least three leptons (electrons or muons). Jet multiplicity, jet flavour and event kinematics are used to separate signal from the background through a multivariate discriminant, and dedicated control regions are used to constrain the dominant backgrounds. The four-top-quark production cross section is measured to be 24-6+7 fb. This corresponds to an observed (expected) significance with respect to the background-only hypothesis of 4.3 (2.4) standard deviations and provides evidence for this process.

Corrections for five figures and six tables are noted for the paper, which do not affect the conclusions reported.

Higgs boson properties are studied in the four-lepton decay channel (where lepton = e, μ) using 139 fb - 1 of proton–proton collision data recorded at s=13 TeV by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The inclusive cross-section times branching ratio for H→ ZZ∗ decay is measured to be 1.34 ± 0.12 pb for a Higgs boson with absolute rapidity below 2.5, in good agreement with the Standard Model prediction of 1.33 ± 0.08 pb. Cross-sections times branching ratio are measured for the main Higgs boson production modes in several exclusive phase-space regions. The measurements are interpreted in terms of coupling modifiers and of the tensor structure of Higgs boson interactions using an effective field theory approach. Exclusion limits are set on the CP-even and CP-odd ‘beyond the Standard Model’ couplings of the Higgs boson to vector bosons, gluons and top quarks.

Inclusive and differential fiducial cross sections of the Higgs boson are measured in the H→ ZZ∗→ 4 ℓ (ℓ= e, μ) decay channel. The results are based on proton−proton collision data produced at the Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV and recorded by the ATLAS detector from 2015 to 2018, equivalent to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb - 1. The inclusive fiducial cross section for the H→ ZZ∗→ 4 ℓ process is measured to be σfid= 3.28 ± 0.32 fb, in agreement with the Standard Model prediction of σfid , SM= 3.41 ± 0.18 fb. Differential fiducial cross sections are measured for a variety of observables which are sensitive to the production and decay of the Higgs boson. All measurements are in agreement with the Standard Model predictions. The results are used to constrain anomalous Higgs boson interactions with Standard Model particles.

The performance of the ATLAS muon trigger system is evaluated with proton-proton (pp) and heavy-ion (HI) collision data collected in Run 2 during 2015-2018 at the Large Hadron Collider. It is primarily evaluated using events containing a pair of muons from the decay of Z bosons to cover the intermediate momentum range between 26 GeV and 100 GeV. Overall, the efficiency of the single-muon triggers is about 68% in the barrel region and 85% in the endcap region. The pT range for efficiency determination is extended by using muons from decays of Jψ mesons, W bosons, and top quarks. The performance in HI collision data is measured and shows good agreement with the results obtained in pp collisions. The muon trigger shows uniform and stable performance in good agreement with the prediction of a detailed simulation. Dedicated multi-muon triggers with kinematic selections provide the backbone to beauty, quarkonia, and low-mass physics studies. The design, evolution and performance of these triggers are discussed in detail.

The results of a search for electroweakino pair production pp→χ~1±χ~20 in which the chargino (χ~1±) decays into a W boson and the lightest neutralino (χ~10), while the heavier neutralino (χ~20) decays into the Standard Model 125 GeV Higgs boson and a second χ~10 are presented. The signal selection requires a pair of b-tagged jets consistent with those from a Higgs boson decay, and either an electron or a muon from the W boson decay, together with missing transverse momentum from the corresponding neutrino and the stable neutralinos. The analysis is based on data corresponding to 139 fb - 1 of s=13 TeV pp collisions provided by the Large Hadron Collider and recorded by the ATLAS detector. No statistically significant evidence of an excess of events above the Standard Model expectation is found. Limits are set on the direct production of the electroweakinos in simplified models, assuming pure wino cross-sections. Masses of χ~1±/χ~20 up to 740 GeV are excluded at 95% confidence level for a massless χ~10.

A measurement of observables sensitive to spin correlations in tt¯ production is presented, using 36.1 fb - 1 of pp collision data at s=13 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Differential cross-sections are measured in events with exactly one electron and one muon with opposite-sign electric charge as a function of the azimuthal opening angle and the absolute difference in pseudorapidity between the electron and muon candidates in the laboratory frame. The azimuthal opening angle is also measured as a function of the invariant mass of the tt¯ system. The measured differential cross-sections are compared to predictions by several NLO Monte Carlo generators and fixed-order calculations. The observed degree of spin correlation is somewhat higher than predicted by the generators used. The data are consistent with the prediction of one of the fixed-order calculations at NLO, but agree less well with higher-order predictions. Using these leptonic observables, a search is performed for pair production of supersymmetric top squarks decaying into Standard Model top quarks and light neutralinos. Top squark masses between 170 and 230 GeV are largely excluded at the 95% confidence level for kinematically allowed values of the neutralino mass.

This paper describes precision measurements of the transverse momentum pTℓℓ (ℓ= e, μ) and of the angular variable ϕη∗ distributions of Drell–Yan lepton pairs in a mass range of 66–116 GeV. The analysis uses data from 36.1 fb- 1 of proton–proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of s=13TeV collected by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC in 2015 and 2016. Measurements in electron-pair and muon-pair final states are performed in the same fiducial volumes, corrected for detector effects, and combined. Compared to previous measurements in proton–proton collisions at s=7 and 8TeV, these new measurements probe perturbative QCD at a higher centre-of-mass energy with a different composition of initial states. They reach a precision of 0.2% for the normalized spectra at low values of pTℓℓ. The data are compared with different QCD predictions, where it is found that predictions based on resummation approaches can describe the full spectrum within uncertainties.

The inclusive top quark pair (tt¯) production cross-section σtt¯ has been measured in proton–proton collisions at s=13TeV, using 36.1 fb- 1 of data collected in 2015–2016 by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. Using events with an opposite-charge eμ pair and b-tagged jets, the cross-section is measured to be: σtt¯=826.4±3.6(stat)±11.5(syst)±15.7(lumi)±1.9(beam)pb,where the uncertainties reflect the limited size of the data sample, experimental and theoretical systematic effects, the integrated luminosity, and the LHC beam energy, giving a total uncertainty of 2.4%. The result is consistent with theoretical QCD calculations at next-to-next-to-leading order. It is used to determine the top quark pole mass via the dependence of the predicted cross-section on mtpole, giving mtpole=173.1-2.1+2.0GeV. It is also combined with measurements at s=7TeV and s=8TeV to derive ratios and double ratios of tt¯ and Z cross-sections at different energies. The same event sample is used to measure absolute and normalised differential cross-sections as functions of single-lepton and dilepton kinematic variables, and the results are compared with predictions from various Monte Carlo event generators.

Several models of physics beyond the Standard Model predict the existence of dark photons, light neutral particles decaying into collimated leptons or light hadrons. This paper presents a search for long-lived dark photons produced from the decay of a Higgs boson or a heavy scalar boson and decaying into displaced collimated Standard Model fermions. The search uses data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36.1 fb- 1 collected in proton–proton collisions at s=13 Te recorded in 2015–2016 with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The observed number of events is consistent with the expected background, and limits on the production cross section times branching fraction as a function of the proper decay length of the dark photon are reported. A cross section times branching fraction above 4 pb is excluded for a Higgs boson decaying into two dark photons for dark-photon decay lengths between 1.5 mm and 307 mm.

Objetivos: Na Fundação Hemopa, o teste Geenius HIV 1/2 Confirmatory Assay (Bio-Rad) é utilizado para resolução de casos discordantes na triagem simultânea sorológico-molecular para a detecção do Vírus da Imunodeficiência Humana (HIV). O objetivo é determinar a frequência de teste suplementar positivo em casos de teste sorológico reagente com teste molecular indetectável para HIV, assim como, descrever o perfil de gênero, idade, resultado sorológico quantitativo e qualitativo dos anticorpos detectados nos indivíduos confirmados. Material e métodos: No período de janeiro de 2021 a fevereiro de 2023, foram avaliadas 145 amostras por Imunocromatografia Geenius HIV 1/2 Confirmatory Assay, um ensaio qualitativo que utiliza antígenos imobilizados (gp36, gp140, p31, gp160, p24 e gp41) para confirmação e diferenciação de anticorpos individuais para HIV- 1/2. Todas as amostras selecionadas tinham sorologia Anti-HIV reagente (valor do “cut off” > 0,8) com a detecção de anticorpos realizada através do ensaio Alinity i HIV Ag/Ab combo reagent kit (Abbott) com a metodologia de quimioluminescência e/ou ensaio Eclesys HIV Duo (Roche) com a metodologia de eletroquimioluminescência, e amostras HIV NAT indetectáveis, através do Kit NAT HIV/HCV (Bio-Manguinhos), utilizando a metodologia de PCR em tempo real, com limite de detecção de 85 cópias/mL. Resultados: Entre as 145 amostras com sorologia reagente e NAT indetectável, 3,45% (5/145) foram reagentes no teste confirmatório, das quais 80% (4/5) eram do gênero masculino, 20 % (1/5) feminino, a média de idade foi de 33 anos (21-55 anos), DP+ 13,4, a média da sorologia foi de 581.218 (351.500-1.056), DP+ 284.340 e em relação aos anticorpos detectados qualitativamente, todos apresentaram anticorpos contra as proteínas do envelope gp160 e gp41, enquanto para a p31 60% (3/5) e p24 80% (4/5). Discussão: O esclarecimento de casos de discordância entre teste sorológico e molecular é de fundamental importância para esclarecer a infecção pelo vírus, visto que, na ausência de RNA viral faz-se necessário descartar reações cruzadas ou inespecificidade da técnica. As amostras demonstraram uma resposta imunológica específica para o HIV, contando com a quantificação de anticorpos e a detecção de anticorpos específicos contra proteínas e peptídeos do envelope viral, como a gp41 e gp160, além de proteínas e peptídeos associadas à replicação viral, como p31 e p24. Assim, pode-se confirmar que estes indivíduos apresentam uma resposta imunológica pós-exposição ao HIV, ainda que na ausência de detecção viral por técnica molecular. Conclusão: A não detecção do material genético do HIV no teste molecular com confirmação sorológica de exposição ao vírus pode ser observada em indivíduos em tratamento antirretroviral e mais raramente em casos de indivíduos que podem ser controladores de elite, que mesmo sem tratamento mantém uma carga viral indetectável e contagem de linfócitos TCD4+estável, ou ainda em casos de possíveis mutações para a região alvo do teste molecular, inviabilizando a amplificação genômica. Considerando que as amostras em questão tratam-se de doadores de sangue, é questionável a possibilidade destes serem indivíduos sabidamente positivos em tratamento, que busquem o hemocentro como buscador de teste, cuja característica seria a omissão de informações na triagem com objetivo de monitorar a infecção.

A search for the electroweak production of charginos and sleptons decaying into final states with two electrons or muons is presented. The analysis is based on 139 fb- 1 of proton–proton collisions recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider at s=13 TeV. Three R-parity-conserving scenarios where the lightest neutralino is the lightest supersymmetric particle are considered: the production of chargino pairs with decays via either W bosons or sleptons, and the direct production of slepton pairs. The analysis is optimised for the first of these scenarios, but the results are also interpreted in the others. No significant deviations from the Standard Model expectations are observed and limits at 95% confidence level are set on the masses of relevant supersymmetric particles in each of the scenarios. For a massless lightest neutralino, masses up to 420 Ge are excluded for the production of the lightest-chargino pairs assuming W-boson-mediated decays and up to 1 TeV for slepton-mediated decays, whereas for slepton-pair production masses up to 700 Ge are excluded assuming three generations of mass-degenerate sleptons.

The azimuthal anisotropy of charged particles produced in sNN=8.16 TeV p+Pb collisions is measured with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 165 nb - 1 that was collected in 2016. Azimuthal anisotropy coefficients, elliptic v2 and triangular v3, extracted using two-particle correlations with a non-flow template fit procedure, are presented as a function of particle transverse momentum (pT) between 0.5 and 50 GeV. The v2 results are also reported as a function of centrality in three different particle pT intervals. The results are reported from minimum-bias events and jet-triggered events, where two jet pT thresholds are used. The anisotropies for particles with pT less than about 2 GeV are consistent with hydrodynamic flow expectations, while the significant non-zero anisotropies for pT in the range 9–50 GeV are not explained within current theoretical frameworks. In the pT range 2–9 GeV, the anisotropies are larger in minimum-bias than in jet-triggered events. Possible origins of these effects, such as the changing admixture of particles from hard scattering and the underlying event, are discussed.
