The literature review is intended to compare the various materials that several researchers have been used in the past ten years. Library searches are carried out electronically through the PubMed and Wiley databases to identify articles relating to the terms coating/implant coating, dental implants, and osseointegration, which are first traced using Medical Subject Heading (Mesh). The 81 articles were obtained from this literature search, but only 14 articles were considered eligible for inclusion criteria. Some coating implant materials identified and used by researchers include hydroxylapatite (HA), calcium phosphate, bisphosphonates, bioactive glass, and bioactive ceramic, ti nitride, bone stimulating factor, and fluoride have advantages and disadvantages and different coating techniques for each ingredient coating. HA Coating Material is still the most commonly used material because it provides better results and clinical properties. Addition of alveolar bone to implant treatment is a common practice to obtain the function and aesthetics expected in areas of inadequate bone. Bone augmentation is a surgical procedure to correct the shape and size of the alveolar bone in preparation for receiving or maintaining a dental prosthesis. Correction of bone deficiencies will not only allow ideal implant placement in terms of angulation and size, but also allow correction of soft tissue deficiencies to improve overall esthetics. Several bone augmentation techniques for correcting inadequate bone conditions include interpositional grafts, onlay block bone grafting, ridge split / ridge expansion, guided bone regeneration and osteogenesis distraction. Aesthetic problems and dentin hypersensitivity are common complaints that are often felt by patients with gingival recession. Treatment of gingival recession in principle aims to overcome the effects caused by the recession. One of the non-surgical treatments for gingival recession is gingival mask creation. The material used to make the gingival mask is the material commonly used as a removable denture acrylic base liner, so that it is easy to shape according to the conditions in the mouth. Another advantage is that the color of the soft liner is slightly transparent, so that when applied to the gingival region that is experiencing recession, the color resembles the original gingival color. Recession treatment using gingival mask can only be performed in Class III and IV Miller recession. Although the gingival mask only covers the recession on the labial / buccal surface, it can minimize stimulation to the tooth nerve, so that both aesthetic complaints and dentin hypersensitivity can be managed simultaneously. A healthy periodontal structure such as adequate alveolar bone and healthy gingiva should be considered prior to denture placement. The success of using dentures is greatly supported by the health of the periodontal tissues. Periodontal preparation for denture placement is carried out in two stages, including the first stage is the form of periodontal inflammation control with a non-surgical and surgical approach which includes emergency treatment, tooth extraction with poor prognosis, oral hygiene instructions, scaling and root planning, periodontal surgery, and additional orthodontic treatment if needed and the second stage of preprosthetic periodontal surgery includes management of mucogingival defects, maintenance of ridge morphology after tooth extraction, crown lengthening procedures, and reconstruction of alveolar ridges. In modern dentistry, the relationship between periodontics and prosthodontics is inseparable, especially in terms of treatment plans, implementation procedures, outcome achievement and maintenance. A healthy periodontium will allow the prosthesis to last a long time. Prosthetic factors in the form of biologic width, proximal contact relationship, restoration contour, restoration margin location, trauma from occlusion and gingival retraction technique if considered carefully, can minimize damage to the periodontal tissue. Good and efficient communication between periodontists and prosthodontists during treatment procedures must be achieved to achieve the common goal of creating a harmonious aesthetic and stomatognathic system. This study aimed to provide information about the prevalence of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) in young violin orchestra players as an illustration of TMD events in violinists in Indonesia. The subjects were 68 violin players of OSUI Mahawaditra and MYSO orchestra. The data gathered through an interview and some questionnaires. The TMD clinical examination included the palpation of head and neck muscles and the measurement of mouth opening. The caliper used for mouth opening height, while two fingers used for muscle palpation. Based on Fonseca's analysis, the prevalence of TMD revealed in young violinists is 90%, while the prevalence of TMD based on DC-TMD form is 80%. This study concluded that there is a high prevalence of TMD in young violinists from several orchestras in Indonesia, with the values that more than 50%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aimed to determine the effect of duplication of palatine rugae on the acrylic denture base on speech quality in patients with a complete denture. This study was conducted on ten subjects. All subjects used full denture with two kinds of maxillary dentures. The sound resulted from each subject taken before using complete denture, when using the denture without duplicating the palate rugae and when using the denture with duplication of palatine rugae. The values obtained were then processed and analyzed by the Kruskal Wallis and Mann-Whitney tests. The sound quality produced showed a significant value of 0.000 in the pronunciation of letters / t/, / d /, and articulation in the Kruskal Wallis test (p <0.05) in each group assessed. The Mann-Whitney Post Hoc test also obtained a significant value (0.000 with p-value <0.05) for comparison of the use of full denture without duplication of palatine rugae and a complete denture with duplication of palatine rugae. This study concluded that denture wearers' speech quality with duplication of palatine rugae was better than the one without palatine rugae. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
